Dental work
In May 2019 I took my 17 year old son to the new Aspen location in Millington, Tn. His tooth broke and was infected and causing him some pain. The dentist came in and started him on antibiotics and explained that he would need a root canal. We were then taken to the finance office and she explained after insurance my cost would be $650 I paid that amount and scheduled his root canal for the following Tuesday at which I could not get off work and asked them if his girlfriend could bring him in for the procedure since he was only 17. I was informed that would be fine as long as I payed and signed the consent form for the root canal which I did that day. Tuesday came and my son called to inform me upon leaving the dentist office that they removed his tooth the dentist explained to him after it was removed that the tooth was in to bad shape to do a root canal and had to be removed. I was never contacted about them removing the tooth they then informed my son that they would put in an implant for $1500 to $2000. After calling up there and arguing I was I formed that they did what was medically neccesary to solve his problem and they would apply the balance after deducting $185 for the tooth removal towards the implant surgery. I had to argue with them a few weeks to get the remaining balance refunded explaining to them they would not touch my son again. I feel like I should not have had to pay for the tooth removal since it was not authorized by me. I would have much rather them contacted me and got a second opinion before removing the tooth. Aspen dental should be liable for the implant charges also. We only went to Aspen because my regular dentist could not get us in u till a later date and it was his High School graduation that night and I wanted him out of pain.
Fluoride treatment
I went to Aspen for a lost filling . They did an entire exam and said I could either have a root canal and crown or it could be pulled. I specifically said whatever they were to do I wanted to make sure it was 100% covered by insurance. So, the only choice was pulling it according to them. I agreed. While I was waiting they asked if I wanted to schedule a cleaning. I said sure. Well, they took me in for the tooth removal. Now, I've had teeth removed in the past, healthy ones for braces and so forth. I have never had anything like this! The dentist practically climbed on top of me yanking on my tooth and cutting my lip and mouth! He kept breaking piece after piece off! The Technician literally had to hold me down. After all was said and done they said they had an opening right away for the cleaning. I went into the hygenist and he said he was going to do a cleaning and a flouride treatment. I told him I didn't want a flouride treatment because it wasnt covered by my insurance. Plus I'm 67 years old and didn't feel like I needed it. I left with them saying everything was covered by insurance. Next thing I know Im getting a bill for the flouride treatment I never got. I called every number multiple times and was always told it would be taken care of. This is at least 6 months now and I now have a letter coming from a collection company.
Wisdom tooth removed
A few years back I went here to get my lower left wisdomm tooth removed. The tooth was infected when he removed it. I was told by a previous dentist who removed my lower right wisdom tooth that there should be no infection when removing a tooth. There is a very noticeable difference in my gums where they were removed. On the left side where I removed with...

Went into aspen dental in Muncie Indiana needed upper and lower dentures. Needed teeth pulled for the lower. Have been sent to several doctors within a few days after the removal of these teeth because of nerve damage to my face. Several months have passed and still cannot feel portions of my face. I feel I was being pushed into signing for unnecessary treatments and then was signed up for the dental first credit. Was told it wouldn't hurt my score but it did. When I asked for a full refund I was given no response. I was given a very expensive toothbrush and not told how much it was or that I was gonna be billed . I would have never purchased a 135 dollar toothbrush.
Consumer fraud
I had a cavity I needed to get filled ASAP as I had an upcoming flight due to relocation. They attempted to pressure me into about 2k staying I needed a root canal and that they needed to do a deep cleaning due to my teeth being on the verge of falling out. They also said that that the nerve was already exposed and that I would be in severe pain if I flew without getting the root canal. Due to the high charge I decided to risk it. A month later got the cavity filled and have had no issues with the tooth or my gums. Not seeking damages, just want to be part of the process of justice.
can't use dentures, can't eat
Went to Aspen in May of 2018 for tooth pain. Was told all teeth needed to be pulled out and dentures. I couldn't afford$7800.00 they wanted up putting it in my best friend name. Had teeth removed and 1stvset of dentures put in, couldn't do anything but choke, complained online and was told to come back to the office, said I had to have 2nd surgery to remove...

Me and my husband went here in 2016 because we needed a dentist. Worst mistake ever. He needed 2 teeth removed but before we got to that, they stated they didnt accept our insurance which was MetLife and that we could speak with an agent and get basically a loan and have to pay it back in 3 yrs at a specific monthly rate. We agreed and on that day my...

Stated I needed a deep cleaning. I have always taken great care of my teeth. Only saw what I guess was the denstist for less than 2 minutes only long enough for him to use dental floss on my rear left top teeth. Treated me like I was an idiot on how to use dental floss. I still have a claim from May that has not been paid by my insurance company due to conflicting information on the claim.

I received my dentures on December 28th 2016. They said I had been overcharged by $400 and to expect a refund. Instead of a refund, I got a bill for $100 on top of what I was told was an overpayment. Not to mention my dentures are lopsided and wearing out after only 2 years. I feel like they didn't use the materials they said they would and I paid for r the higher end product and received the lower end
Payment required to make an appointment.
On my first trip to Aspen Dental, Hermitage Tn, I accompanied my teen son for a regular check up. We spent probably 20 minutes doing xrays, 5 minutes with a dentist, 5 minutes with a hygienist and an hour sitting waiting. Zero cavities found by the dentist and a ‘you should probably come back for a cleaning' from the hygienist, we were dumped back into an...

I chose Aspen because they had a in house lab. I have wore dentures for 20 years and needed new set. 4000.00 dollars and 3 month later still didnt have dentures that fit. Read full review of Aspen DentalAdding on electric toothbrush and unnecessary cleaning when I went for a tooth repair.
I called to get a chipped tooth repaired and was told after my insurance it would be $180 out of pocket. They duped me into getting financial help and added on $1500 of dental work I didn't go in for. Also adding on a $250 oral b electric toothbrush. Said it was part of the package. They've also told me I had gum disease, which no other dentist has told me. When they finally repaired the tooth I went in for, they never polished it down and it was rough and pieces of the filling were chipping off. They didn't follow procedure either with the deep cleaning based on my insurance.
Bridges
Went in to aspen for cleaning and broken tooth. Ending up with 6 teeth pulled. Which two were implants. Received 2 bridges both fell out. Called for 2 weeks solid and to busy to see me. Paid over $4, 000 then went back for bridges cost almost $3, 000. They all fell out they wont write off cost because I didn't come in within 90days. I can't afford their...

I had bridge work and crowns done on the upper front teeth... after a week all the work feel out. I went back to aspen to have them correct the problem but was told the dentist was booked for the day and that I had to schedule an appointment... I refused and told them I would not be leaving until it was fixed... this argument ensued for close to an hour before I was told to take my business elsewhere. Which I had planned to do anyway.. however the receptionist told me that if I was going to seek an alternate office I would need to leave the teeth with her... I was called by the dentist an hour later who freed the rest of her day to fix my teeth however as time went by the crowns began falling again. I am still currently in debt with aspen dental and their credit company which has now sent me to collections
I'm so disappointed with Aspen Dental. Went in there got quoted for $8,000 worth of work to be done. Mind you I take care of my teeth so couldn't figure out why I needed that much I knew I had one tooth that needed to be fixed. Went along with it thinking okay maybe I had more than I thought.Had the one fixed root canal they capped it it fell out with the tooth and I also have a bridge that never stays in my mouth so I am constantly having to get it cemented. Called them to ask them what I could do and after weeks of complaining they said that they would give me back $300.Mind you i can't use it. Because it's been closed and maxed out. They said they would put it back on the Care Credit Card.So now I'm sitting here with no tooth and my other teeth are falling out of my head I would never go back there again ever. All I wanted was that $300 to go back to repair what they messed up on. So not right
