Before I proceeded on with the appointment they told me certain things are cover and after the appointment I was billed .. I called and told them the situation and they told me they will fix it. I received the same bill weeks later and they changed there tune saying they will not pay it. There poster outsise says free exam. They do the exam and then ask about my insurance.
I was told one thing befire I proceeded with the appointment and received a bill.. I called when I received the bill and explained the situation and was told they will take care of it.. I then received the same bill again and was told the will not take care of it
periodontal cleaning
On July 16, 2018 I went in to Aspen Dental after having made an appointment to get a cavity filled. I went in and they did lots of xrays. They then examined my teeth and told me I had periodontist and that they wanted to do a cleaning. This is the first time I had heard of this and I asked if they could still fix the tooth that was hurting me. I was told they could fill my cavity because of the bacteria from the periodontitis. I explained that I was in a lot of pain, which they knew because my blood pressure was high and they checked it quite a few times. They told me cleaning should help with the pain so I agreed. I was never told how much the cleaning would cost. I was told it would cost over $25, 000 to fix everything. A lady asked me to sign up for a credit card to cover what my insurance would not. I asked her how much my insurance would pay and she said she did not know because they had not run it yet. I was approved for a credit line of $2, 500 with dental first financing. I have paperwork showing that I financed $1, 383.54. That is all the paperwork I have. It does not tell me what exactly that money went to. When I got my credit card bill I was charged $2, 106.28. I have no idea what that money went to. All I know was I went there in pain and left in even worse pain and in debt.
charging me more money than what was agreed upon
I went to Aspen dental to have my teeth pulled and to get dentures I was quoted a price now they say I need to pay more bc they messed up. The lady I have spoken to is rude and has brought so much anxiety to my life. My dentures are paid for however they will not give them to me it is absurd and extremely stressful. I spoke with the doctor he said he will pull my chart and call me back he never did. I want to sue them for quoting me a price then turning around saying I owe more.
full mouth teeth extraction/shotty dentures
I had all of my teeth pulled 1/19/17 after being examined and pretty much scared into it after being told that my bad teeth were putting toxins in my body that were/would kill me. Day of pulling they shot me up with so much Novacaine that I swell up to the point if I didn't breath through my mouth and keep my mouth open at all times I would have suffocated. The dentures were put in my mouth and the bottom one was to big. Had to many teeth in it( I'd had 2 extracted when I was a teen cuz my bottom jaw was over crowded). They refused to listen to me or do anything about it. I may have managed a total of 3 days wearing the t before I totally and utterly gave up on it. Within a month of having them I lost a tooth out of the top eating pizza. They are crap. I only ware my top and they have patch jobs all over them. The same tooth fell out about 4 months ago and after all the headache I refused to go back. Within the last 3 weeks 2 more have fallen out.
misrepresentation of dental work and barges for those services.
I went to Aspen dental to get work done to my teeth. They took X-rays and then one of the dentist and the hygienist examined my teeth and said that I needed heavy duty cleaning and had a couple cavities that needed filled. I was told that the procedure would have to take place on two separate occasions. Hey would take one day andok on the right side of my mouth, and the next day to work on the left side. Was shown to Scheduling and also to find out how much this procedure would cost, I made my first appointment then I was told the cost would amount to a little over $800. I paid for half the bill and said goodby, and was very surprised about the price.the following week I showed up for my appointment, and before any work was done they asked me to pay for the remainder of the bill, I asked why did I have to pay the rest of the bill since no work has yet to be done. They told me it was procedure. I told them there was no way I was pay it he rest of the money and asked for the money back that I had already paid. After slight argument about getting back my money I was shown to the office of I guess office manager. Leah, who seemed so very nice and who managed to talk me into getting the work done, For the amount that was quoted me. I told Leah that I would get my teeth cleaned but I would forego the cavities at this time. They did the cleaning. It was not the cleaning that they quoted me on, that was supposed to take two days, it was just a regular cleaning, it took about one hour maybe a little longer. When it was done, I went to talk to Leah, but she was busy with some other people and she told me that we were now even I did not owe them any more money. And said goodby. My mistake I did not ask for a receipt. I trusted Leah. About three weeks later I got a bill from Aspen Dental for $1, 400.00
I went over to their office to talk to Leah and she told me not to worry about it. The main office takes a while to get their records in order. Again I trusted her. Now I have a collection agency trying to collect over $2, 000.00 from me. What do I do. I am a senior citizen and a widow and I guess I was just too trusting and did not believe that any person could be so dishonest. What can I do. Please help me.
extract w/ bone remv/sectn
I went in on October 12th 2018 for a tooth extraction. I was numb up with 3 shots. Then Dr Khan went to take the tooth out. I felt a great deal of pain and only a piece of the tooth was removed. Then the dr explained to me she couldn't get the rest of the tooth out and that there was no more she could do and I would have to come back when the dental surgeon is in the office to have it completely removed. I told her I was in alot of pain and had to go to work. She said all they could give was Tylenol 3 for pain. A few hours later that day I took the Tylenol 3. When the shots wore off, I was in the worse pain I have ever been in, and to the point where I was also nauseous. (I also went to work had to leave and lost 6 hrs of pay.) So my husband took me to St Joe hospital. The ER physician stated it was so mangled that she gave me a shot of hydromorphone with promethazine. And sent me home with Norco. I have another appt with Aspen Dental in Mishawaka on Oct 17th with the dental surgeon and I petrified. I am demanding a refund of $78.40 so I can go to a different dentist and get this tooth out once and for all. I paid for a service and it made the situation 100 times worse and the tooth didnt get removed. I will have to miss another day of work. This is the worst dental experience I ever had.

Date of service - 9/14/18
I called to have a regular check up scheduled plus a consultation about a possible implant procedure. I must say the receptionist and hygienist was very professional. After getting my teeth cleaned the dentist came in. The first concern I had was, he never directly addressed me about my dental experience. He only asked me one question, the rest of the time he addressed the hygienist as if I wasn't sitting there. he kindly told the hygienist what I needed, and what his plan was. When he was done, I finally got to ask a question. I asked, what about my consultation for implants, he turned around and said "You are no candidate for any kind of implant procedure and you should just stick with what I told you". Later that day I researched an oral surgeon for more answers, and a second option. I was told to make an appointment for a consultation, and I would need a referral from the dentist I had just visited. I called back the next day asking for a referral, I was told the dentist was on vacation and I would have to wait. I waited about two weeks to call back; I was then told " the dentist said he would not give me a referral because he felt you should follow the procedures he had proposed". I didn't know a dentist could be so rude, all I wanted was a second opinion. Does he treat everyone like this, or just some people!
Truly Shocked
permanent denture/adjust bill
It will be a year Oct 23 that I had my surgery done. Per my agreement I was to have new Upper Dentures to replace my old ones and New bottom dentures post surgery. I requested a run down of all my appts and the service provided. What was given me was incomplete. The Top Temporary dentures are fine... The Bottom temporary dentures are awful. My last appointment there to be fitted (date unknown and not provided by Aspen) I told them the bottom dentures do not work and don't stay in. they recommended using adhesive. That worked UNTIL I took first bite of food, which was mashed potatoes incidently and flew out. I work with the public and can't be talking to clients and having this issue. Absolutely nothing has been done to correct the issue. I want the Upper Permanent Dentures done as the fit is perfect. I DO NOT WANT THE BOTTOM DENTURES; PERIOD AND WANT THE COST REMOVED FROM MY BILL
billing
I went to Cedar Rapids office in April. They printed me out an EOB for services. I paid them $500 for the part that was supposedly left over. I have contacted them several times because my insurance, Delta Dental, needs more information from the appointment, charting from the dentist, etc. I have contacted and spoken with several people at Aspen Dental and they keep making excuses! They told me they have up to one year to finish/close claim. I NEED MY MONEY BACK! My flex spending account needs the correct/final paperwork to reimburse me and I have until December 2018. This needs to be resolved immediately and I need to have someone from Aspen Dental to confirm they have done their job accurately and completely before a I have to seek a lawyer, warn other people about this kind of service and report this to the BBB. Thanks
copay
My husband signed up for expensive dental work, dentures . We used Care Credit and they received their monies immediately. He was having quadrant deep cleaning and we received a bill for $108 for copay for fluoride treatment on the few teeth remaining. That was just 2 of quadrant. He never went back for any other services which they were paid for but continued sending bills and now have it on his good credit. All the money they received for services not performed and they still want the $108!
aspen dental columbia mo
On 2/9/18, I went in for an exam. I paid $1200 & my insurance paid $386. I was given a treatment plan summary for Comfi fit dentures. I had an impression on 3/8, I picked up my temporary set of dentures. My care stopped at that point. I wasn't comfortable with the dentist at all.
I saw an ad that Aspen states a money back guarantee, so I went in on 9/18 and requested it plus for my bill to be pulled from collections. I was told it's only a 90 day guarantee. I paid $1586 for a temporary set of dentures? The guy stated that it's 1 price for everything. I asked him to break it down & I will pay for the services I used. He refunded me $91 and took my bill out of collections. I feel like I have completely overpaid for the services I received. Yes, I did take 6 months to go in & request it, but it is still the same amount of money. Please let me know if there is anything I can do to get a fair refund. Thanks, Robin Richardson
bill/insurance
I went to the dentist and they came up with a number around 7000.00 I had insurance which the ran and said my insurance will cover 3000.00 and I had to take a loan out through the dentist for the rest.. Well I paid off the loan I took out and a year later I get a bill for 3000.00 so I call and ask what it is.. They say well when we put through to get paid from your insurance it was cancelled. I said you put it through while I was there and you made me take out a loan also... They said they just send an estimate in to insurance? An estimate? I didn't get a estimate when I took out a loan... I got a total # which is paid... So because they dodnt put it through to get paid while I had insurance... They waited and I switched jobs and have different insurance they say i'm responsible for that money... Sorry but couldn't afford the loan I took out and barely got that paid off without starvin... I wouldn't of ever got the work done if I had to pay the whole amount... Now my bridge broke not even a year later that I paid 3000 dollars for.. They wont even see me till I give them money and they said it isn't guaranteed either... Bunch of scammers and they do [censored]ty work! I will never pay them! They use the cheapest stuff so things break and you have to keep going back!

partials
Today we where scheduled to go to Aspen Dental to get my husbands permanent partials. When the receptionist called to remind us she advised me that my husband needed a deep cleaning before getting his permanent partials put in . I advise her that we did not have the money at this time to get the cleaning its a $1000.00 cleaning. I told her we can't get it at this time. When we pay down the Dental first Then we'll do the cleaning. Then the technician also tried pushing the cleaning on us also. Saying that the teeth would not fit the same if he got the cleaning later. Then the dentist came in and started his sale service and started screaming at me, because my husband and I decided to do the partials and later do the cleaning. This dentist advised me I wasn't a dentist. Made us feel super irresponsible, and went on yelling and raising his voice at us. My husband ended up getting his temporary partials and we walk out. No one came to the back after the dentist.
My husbands name is Leo Ramirez, we go to the Harbison Aspen Dental. We are incredible disappointed at these actions and attitudes. This has been a terrible experience. You should look into it.
appointment
I had an appointment and confirmed it same day drove 45 minutes to get their and they said I have to reschedule your appointment it's a 2 hr apt. I rescheduled again went today my name was marked out waited 1hr they said oh have to reschedule 2nd trip. No service that got their money and can't get my teeth finished and said I can't go to a deferment Aspin office. I need compasated for the trouble can't see to get the work finished but they get their money for unfinished work?
teeth that first name me gag! teeth that do not fit properly!
When I went to Aspen Dental they gave me a price of $9, 000 for Foreman at work to give me a new set of teeth and to do extractions! I proceeded with the procedure and after getting my set of teeth I found out that I had a gag reflex! Despite the fact that I had to gag reflex they decided to proceed anyway! Dr. Cheeks assured me things will get better! After the final set of Dentures were prepared I still gagged so they filed down the Chiefs I didn't gag anymore but the fit was improper! I have no use for these to stay uncomfortable it's like wearing a size 14 shoe when you wear a 9! These are totally useless to me after spending $9, 000!
lack of dental care in winona, mn.
This is a follow-up on my initial complaint dated 8-27-18. Shortly after my complaint I contacted Lisa, Phone # [protected], who indicated my $163.00 would be put back on my credit card and the matter would be investigated. NOTHING HAPPENED. I contacted her again on 9-17-18 about my refund and she indicated she would get back with me. A week later NOTHING. It is apparent the dentist, who refused to prescribe an anabiotic for a confirmed infection, is not the only one who is incompetent. This matter needs to be investigated because the dentist poses a risk to the community. My friend in Winona stated"your experience with Aspen is not reflective of the dental care we receive in this area". I believe my friend, and again I am requesting a complete refund of my money because I received no treatment while in Winona. Someone who provides oversight can contact me at [protected] or [protected]@charter.net

dental and office management.
Around May I had several fillings placed, since then I have had two of the teeth that Aspen "fixed" extracted, due to an increase in pain. I had the first one pulled at the Aspen office, the dentist stated she had tried to save it. When she pulled the tooth it was not numb, I felt everything. After all that Aspen dental charged me for pulling it, as well as the cavity they filled in this tooth.
the office environment was filthy and I saw no sign of instruments being sterilized.
I should not have stayed.. I have been a client for 6 plus years in the past very impressed with Aspen Dental... this past year went in for a check up and cleaning on the west side location and was appalled at how dirty and unsanitary the room was.. so decided not to go back .. thought it was the office manager not having proper maintaince and cleaning.., to give another try made appointment at the east side location 508 N. Greenriver Rd. Evansville Indiana 47715 phone [protected]. This location dental exam room in the same if not worse condition.. and i saw NO signs of sterilization of instruments... i have many pictures of the room i was in.. and will submit them to you... My name is Freda Lopp i had a appointment today at 11:00 am.. the service was suppose to a periodontal cleaning. It was a joke... a 300$ with a discount plan joke.. on top of feeling like i was in a dirty place..
bad treatment services and personnel!!
I went to Aspen Dental to get a top plate made after having my upper teeth removed by my regular dentist! I was surprised when the receptionist told me rudely to "Sign in and sit down"It was steady downhill from there. All they seemed to care about was my financial status(as I was paying out of pocket). The cube they sat me in for my procedure was full of gnats and there were several pieces of stuff on the floor, I assume from other procedures. I was then put through one of their many procedures and cast were taken. I was told to come back in 2 weeks. All in all it was a long drawn out mess. After what seemed like forever they had my plate ready(although they hurried it up because I complained that they did not inform me how long their process took) . I showed up for my plate and was handed a zip lock bag with a plate and told to" put it in" and then escorted to the door, although I had questions about care and maintenance. This was the very rude and now I am afraid to return there for my permanent plate. All Aspen wants is your money!
