The Bob Evans restaurant in Elyria, Ohio is by far THE WORST place I have ever been. My wife and I just left there, after 45 minutes of waiting for our food. I could see if it was crowded, but there was maybe 20 people in the whole place. This is the second time I've experienced horrible service at this location. The first experience I had, my 14 year old son and I told them to just cancel the order. I'll pay for our drinks and I was on our way. This location is by far the worst Bob Evans I've ever been too

The waitress was ok but the food was horrible mine was way over cooked an old the sauce on top was jello wasn't even spread across brought me the wrong side brought us old cold bread my sister had burnt hash browns on her French toast her bacon was raw an not even on a sprate plate an on top of that as we were leaving the host mocked my sister an made fun of what I was wearing very disappointed with alliance bobs

Last evening June 27/2018, at approximately at 8:00 P.M., MY Wife, granddaughter and myself were at this BOB Evans for dinner
A customer sitting behind us to the left called the manager over to show him a piece of chicken that was under cooked. The customer was not loud or disrespectful but wanted to let the manager see the chicken thigh.
The manager started explaining that what the customer was seeing was a blood vein and the chicken had been cooked to specifications. The customer explained that he wasn't going to eat chicken that had blood showing (That was not at all in-reasonable. uncooked chicken can be a health hazard)
I had a similar experience at the Bob Evans on McNaughten Rd in Columbus, where the chicken wasn't completely cooked, but the manager at the store handled things correctly without incident
The customer didn't say he wasn't going to pay for the meal, but the manager who was completely unprofessional, kept talking about the chicken to the customer who then, rightly became irritated. It was embarrassing to the customer that the manager was speaking loud enough for other customers to hear
The manager said he would substitute the piece of chicken, so he offered the man a chicken wing (Seriously) !
All the manager had to do was take the piece of chicken off the bill, apologize to the customer and walk away.. He did not have to provoke the man
When the customer went to pay his bill the manager refused to take his money.. all the man wanted to do was pay his bill and leave the restaurant. Things got really loud and the manager then called the police and said the man refused to pay his bill. That was not the case at all
The police came and talked with the customer, and myself.. being a witness to what had taken place I felt it was my responsibility to let the police know what had taken place.. The customer "was not" wrong in this situation
The waitresses to remain professional even in light of the way their manager behaved
My family enjoy eating at Bob Evans, but will give a lot of thought to ever going back to this particular store.. That manager was rude and extremely unprofessional

I was in there at dinner and had turkey and dressing and was great service by my server but manager Jeff at south high street was very rude to servers and cooks his behavior is very unacceptable he needs quit belittling staff and focus, on managing he should not be manager of his position wonder he has any staff left thanks for your comcern. not wanting to not come back but long he's there I wont be back

Management treats their staff like crap. I work at the merrillville location and I get treated like crap daily by just one manager. Just got yelled at for clicking out an hour after my shift. After cleaning my stuff up. Stocking, helping other staff before I left. Management sits their [censored] in the office doing nothing while the servers do it all. A server who came in late was off the same time as me, left while I get to stay. Yelled at the previous day for coming in early as a favor, but let their favorites do as they please. Welcome to bob Evan's where we treat guests like family and workers like garbage should be their motto

I left for maternity leave on March 20th 2018 told them I'm taken 2-3 months for it but would be back. They ended up closing their doors and not even bothering to call me to tell me i had no job anymore. Think that's a bit ignorant to treat employees like that. They should have called knowing i just had a baby and would need that job but instead they dont send a letter or call to give me a heads up to find another job.

I am writing from a local business in the Columbus area about the Bob Evans location at 960 E. Dublin-Granville Rd. Columbus, Ohio. 43229. On May 10th, 2018, this location had the unfortunate circumstance of a fire. I truly sympathize for this bit of misfortune and am glad that no one was seriously hurt. A few local businesses have brought to my attention that it has been over a month and the building has not received any attention. The condition of the building, as is, in a burnt state looks unsightly and has had a negative effect on other businesses. lack of chicken salad with fresh fruit/no bean soup/1 paper mat on table to share/no jellies on table/cold in restaurant/no senior menu
chicken salad was always on menu this time of year til end of summer, Waitress had no clue said if not on menu, we don't serve it/Bean soup was my husbands fav soup. off the menu / only 1 paper mat on table to share between 2 people/ no jelly containers on the table anymore, you have to ask for it./ extremely cold in restaurant. I have a temp. app on my phone. It was 59 degrees in store. It was cold, I put a jacket on. It cools the food down fast and forget hot coffee. If this keeps up we won't be returning and we've been eating there since it opened. We are two retired seniors (one disabled veteran) which brings me to the last item. NO SENIOR MENU. original mashed potatoes
I just bought the Bob Evans original mashed potatoes to go with tonight's dinner. As I pulled them out of the microwave to stir, I found an unknown black object in it. We had to throw away the entire tub not knowing what it was. Needless to say we were very disappointed. We are an active family that is in need of quick meals before sporting events.

Party of 3. My daughters Atlantic cod was burnt and dripping oil. My turkey and dressing was cold. My sons sandwich came without his fries. We were told the fries would be right out. He finished his sandwich. No fries. He asked for them and they made him some. Our dinner rolls were forgotten. And when we requested drink refills, we were told sure, but yet never refilled. Sad to spend $45 on a meal out to have this happen.

My family and I were at one in wythville VA we walked in got seated right away and after ordering our food we sat for almost two hours while other tables around us got seated ordered and ate then left while we were still sitting there. There was 9 of us in our party and we ended up walking out. The waitress and the manager was very rude and Inpersonable. I had asked myself for a stare three times and they never came back to the table. We had three young kids with us who were getting very tired of sitting and waiting. We asked a manager how much longer it was going to be and they said they were behind but that is when we started to notice others that walked in after us was leaving and were fed. I will not be going back to that store again I live in the state of Ohio and was traveling and we all love bob Evans but we have never been treated so poorly at any other one. I hope something gets done.

We were in this Bob Evans tonight around 635-640. First the waitress was not very friendly at all. I ordered the two piece white meat fried chicken. My mom ordered the chicken parmesan. First they forgot to drop my chicken because I heard the cook say that. How could they forget when the place was dead at this time. So she brought out the rest of our food which was fine. The macaroni and cheese I had was very watery and extremely soupy. My mom's chicken parmesan had very little tomato sauce on it. My mom asked if she could have some parmesan cheese and the waitress said that they didn't have it. Even though I saw shredded parmesan on her chicken parmesan. So then she asked for more sauce which she got which was enough then. She then brought out my fried chicken and I couldn't complain about the macaroni and cheese until she came back which wasn't for almost 10 minutes. So after I complained she told the manager and he took it off. I have worked in this business for almost 20 years and after someone complains about the food a manager should go over and talk to that table. But he didn't. He also didn't check the macaroni and cheese on the line to see if there was something wrong with it. This place has gone downhill big time. I will never come back to this location ever again.
terrible and inaccurate service
Went to bob evans with my husband on june 13 @ 3pm in lexington ky.This was my birthday celebration.The store was not busy (maybe 3customers totals..many things were wrong.they had to take my order twice, because it was wrote down wrong at first..i ordered loaded fries and hash, i only got cheese and bacon (i had to get them corrected because i payed extra)..i ordered a carmel mocha and for my refills i got plain black coffee instead of my mocha...at this point i was tired of complaining...our food finally came and my steak with mushrooms and onions only had mushroom..and when i asked about my onions i was told they were out and i dont believe that.they just didnt want to grill any...my husbands chicken sandwich was dry and had no bacon or honey mustard..my server never came back so he finally ate it...then we waited and eventually had to hunt down our server just to get our ticket to leave...they werent busy at all and i feel like my service was terrible! We eat here often and we were very unhappy .
a fall in the restaurant /the whole experience
My friend and I went to the Bob Evans in Mishawaka Indiana on Grape Rd., Monday around 1 PM. We sit down we ordered the mini sampler we received one egg and some burnt hashbrowns. I thought I read the menu wrong Went to get a menu and called the server over and all she could do is say is there anything else because they had forgot the sausage and the biscuit. The biscuits was excellent the sausage so so. The table was still dirty when they sat us at it. I looked behind me because I wanted a refill and the server came over and said do you need something in a derogatory manner. Well for employees were laughing it up which two of those employees were management. Five tables were dirty the whole time we sat there, they needed to be bused. I got up to go to the restroom and take my service dog outside I come back I ordered some ice cream and coffee. I go back to the restroom come back and I slipped on the tile because the floor was wet. I almost face planted myself into the first table from the wait station. I have pulled something in my right knee and I twisted my back. Management did not want to take a report. Very dissatisfied. I asked the server for my bill for the coffee and the ice cream she never brought it . This is what I call piss poor management

The store was absolutely filthy! Both the chairs my husband and I sat in had food on them which I cleaned off. While our waitress was friendly enough, she did not ask if we wanted refills and my husbands cup of coffee had coffee grounds in the cup. We were seated where we could see counters in back the floor was filthy with food. Part of the bottom floor trim was missing. One server Rheema the spelling my be wrong picked her nose. Thank God she was not our server. The floor where seating was was filthy! Yet you had several employees standing around talking. We have eaten in many Bob Evans and this was the most filthy we have every been in. I will not recommend to anyone. And in all honesty I should report the restaurant to the Ohio State board of health. I wish I had taken pictures but I did not think of it at the time!
usda choice sirloin meal
5/31/2018 location on East Alexis Road Toledo, Ohio. I went to this restaurant for my evening dinner. I do frequent this place as it is close to my home. Since I am on a Ketogenic eating regimen I require quality protein, fats and low carb for my meals. So the USDA sirloin is a common selection for me. When I buy this I expect quality. But here is the problem.
I order my steak medium rare as I do in any restaurant. But for some reason at Bob Evans I cannot get a medium rare piece of meat no matter how much I stress that is how I want it. I tell the waiter/waitress always to tell the cook I expect to see red or pink inside. But when I receive my meal I cannot find even a hint of pink inside. This evening I sent my meal back two times and the third time I just accepted it to eat and told the waitress I'll eat it but I am not happy. Before I received my meal the third time, the manager came over to appologize and she said she would come back later to talk but she never did and before I finished and checked out.
I cannot understand how cooks could be so bad to let that happen consistently unless these meats are pre-cooked before they start cooking them. If this is the case Bob Evens will never produce a satisfactory result as the pre-cooking is excessive. This has happened time and again and I am considering moving my business to a good restaurant where I know I can get a good cook.

We went to this Bon Evans after church this past Sunday morning. Arrived at 10:45 am. Waited 5 minutes to be seated only at a dirty table that the host cleaned off while we were seated there. Table was left wet. After 8 minutes a waitress finally came and took our drink orders, 9 minutes brought us our drinks that we ordered. We all got salads so we didn't think it would take that long. Wrong we finally got our salads 23 minutes later while one of our party had seen them placed in the window 10 minutes before we got them. Never did come to give us drink refills and we had to go to the counter to finally get our bill.

I live a couple of miles away from the Bob Evans on Walker ave in grand rapids michigan. I've been going there to eat dinner for a month or so. Each time I go the service is horrific, but worst of all the food is horrific. Yesterday (5/28/18) I ordered your turkey deli sandwich. I received dry marbled bread with a one thin piece of withered lettuce a tomato, no cheese and one thin piece of turkey with an overload of dripping mayo. It tasted like a tomato sandwich. The sandwich was uncut and one person working in the kitchen. There were 3 people in the restaurant, including me and it took 20 minutes to make a cold uncut dry, no ingredients, sandwich. Never again...I've tried 3 times and I'm out.

My husband and I went into the restaurant at 10:45 am. He wanted soup but it wasn't hot yet which was strange because it was close to lunchtime. Ok, so we waited until 11:20 for hot soup. Meanwhile I ordered the breakfast with pancakes, eggs and meat. I was told I couldn't substitute hash browns for the meat. Ok, so I ordered a side of hash browns. My order finally came with the soup at 11:20. The potatoes were a joke! Maybe 1/4 c serving, black and flat... I mean flat.
I have had hash browns at B Evans before and they were fine ... I don't understand how they even got out of the kitchen! Not only did the cook do his/her job but the waitress didn't notice these? I don't know her name but she had a blonde ponytail. (I know that doesn't help) After serving us, she never came back to see how the meal was; I had to get her attention and asked to have another serving. The second serving was tasteless but not burned like the previous. The check came and the cost of the h browns was added onto our check.
I had to ask that it be removed. I've worked in restaurants and been a waitress... I would have never expected a guest to pay for the hash browns in this situation. Ok, $3.00 but still!
It will be a long time, if at all, that we visit this Bob Evans again.
What is with the service and quality of food lately. We observed this in other Bob Evans as well but never close to the unpleasant experience we had this morning.
