This is reference to burger king store # 8119. I've been visiting this store for about 9 months now and never seen a male manager nor pl. I've also notice that an employee working there was once a manager at KFC. Not saying that the managers and Pl's that are there now are not doing there job, but its very rare to see male managers. Also noticed that a female at the same store probaly been working there around 1.5 months now have a black shirt, in which this guy i was speaking on has been there over 4.5 months. Yea you can say i see everything. Everytime im in the store which is everyday i see him bust his tail working, he's all over the place doing odd jobs making sure the store is clean. That's what type of people we need in management, not someone who has a lead to that position. I know it was a lead cause i overheard conversations as the employees were taking breaks in the store. I truly don't thnk this is the right choice. I see him motivated and yes qualified for the position but yet you make a FEMALE who's been there for a few weeks a pl. Please review this before i have to make a disrcimination complaint.

I used to work for burger king when the fish was a whaler and they changed the name of the fish because it offended customers. Today burger king must be broke because they need sex and murder to sell their product. I am now one customer that is very offended by the sponge bob commercials and wondering why burger king needs to advertise sex to sell the kids meals

Even this fairly liberal person is incensed regarding the newest burger king commercial — - square bootie! Having never complained about something as supposedly benign as a commercial, I don't know that my complaint will make a difference, but I refuse to buy another item from burger king until this commercial is pulled from the television. The very idea that bk thinks we are stupid enough to believe that all they want to do is appeal to the adult population is ridiculous! (If there is a person in america who hasn't tasted a bk burger or fries by now, then this commercial is not going to make them suddenly hop in the car and venture out to buy a whopper!)

What this boils down to is a desperate attempt to make money while lowering the age of sexualization a little farther. Whether it is their intention to be sexual is a non-issue. (Yeah, right - - as if they don't realize!) what they are showing and saying on these commercials will stick with every person that sees it — - even those who are as young as 3 or 4 years old! And as a mother with a daughter (And sons, too) , I resent that even a fast food restaurant is pointing out body parts that are to be ogled by those of the male persuasion. (And that "king" on their commercials - - he is beyond creepy! He struck me as some sort of degenerate the first time I saw him!)

So — - burger king — - why don't you just stand by your products (Of which I have been a huge fan for years) - - and quit with all the sex and body parts? It's not funny — - not even to those of us who have a pretty liberal sense of humor. You've lost my business, for sure.

The phone number for corporate is [protected]! I am livid over their advertising, evedentally they also have a radio commercial that refere to a woman's time tof the month as a good time to buy their product! Where's a sense of decency. And this latest commercial is target for KIDS meals? Complain to your local BK too!

I have stopped by Burger King on Delaware Ave on my way to work several times. The last two times, I was treated very rudely by the "person" taking orders from the Drive thru. They would ask me if I would like a "Value Meal", when I replied and gave them the number of the "value meal" and a coffee to drink, they would ADD $1.29 to the price of the "value meal" because I asked for a coffee! The PICTURE SHOWS COFFE WITH THE BREAKFASTS! WHY DO THEY CHARGE MORE? When I would question this, they told me it was because I ordered COFFEE!? AND they would argue with me about what the PICTURE board displayed. SORRY, but a coke cup looks nothing like a coffee cup. Finally, I drove away hungry(both times). If Burger king continues to treat encourage this, it won't be long before Burger King will be gone in this town. Needless to say, I will wait an hour in McDonald's line rather than be subjected to this treatment at Burger King! One is excusable, but twice on different days? this must be what the employes are told to do by the company.

The latest burger king commercial is disgusting! You have the burger " KIng" saying Spongebob I wanna get with ya, to begin with and then you have the girls with square butts dancing. The icing on the cake is the booty is booty commment. Who okayed this commercial? And what were they on when they did it? Idiots!

The lyrics where "I wanna get with ya, cause your makin' me richa"

Personally the most hysterical commercial I've seen and I eagerly await for it's arrival. It should be mandatory to air this commercial on a regular basis.

I am writing out of disappointment regarding the Burger King 'Spongebob Commercial'

WHY is this not aired every second of every day?!
Something that is so amazingly hysterical, filled with vast amounts of grand satire and purely the best thing to ever air on public TV should be show cased regularly.

I believe we should aired nothing but this commercial between noon and 1Pm every day, forever.

Those who feel it is turning their beloved demon spawn to evil deeds will have their children sold to the Chinese circus, thus controlling population and providing more entertainment and teaching parents to CHANGE THE CHANNEL less they have their mutant offspring so gracefully sprung for their loins sold off for a better cause.

I demand more Spongebob commercials.

I couldn't agree more! This ad campaign is disgusting, especially considering the market it is targeting! We need to stand together and let our voices be heard! That means not only supporting each other at sites like this, but also CALLING them to voice our displeasure [protected]) and by BOYCOTTING them. Hit them where it hurts--the almighty dollar. We've done it before and we can do it again. They are probably enjoying all the chatter this had generated because it keeps their name in the public eye, but a loss of revenue would wipe the smiles off their faces!

I didn't even bother to watch the commercial after I saw the 'square butt's dancing on the screen...it made me want to look away...which I did. I was going to drive through BK the other day and the image of the square butts popped into my head...I drove past because, for some reason, it made me lose my appetite.

I am complaining today because i never do but now for almost one and a half months we have been going to this bk and every time we go they are always out of what we are ordering three weeks ago they had no chicken sandwiches the next time no chicken strips and three weeks in a row no cheese tots along with now chicken. I can not understand you have a promotion for the chicken sandwiches and the woppers 2 for $3.00 and you never have them in and you plan your meals weekly and every week you go in and the same thing and a no care attitude oh well get something else but when your family is set on those items.

Then you go ahead and order something else since you are already there and they throw it together NOT the way you ordered it and time after time you get the same problems but try to be a faithful customer giving them chance after chance after chance one grows tired of depending on a restaurant you think stands behind their name.

We are stuck going to this one because it is the only one within a 20 or more mile radios. So sorry for complaining but we go there at least twice a week and when you can't get the items you want every week and not good service or quality of food it is rather annoying.

I am aware that just like me there are thousands if not millions of people who watched this recent aired commercial from Burger King that advertises a sponge bob kids meal while a rap song by Sir mix alot plays which is called" I like Big Butts"...now I'm old school and new school so I remember this song back in the day...But what does women with square butts wavering back and forth in the commercial have to do with a child's meal...this commercial is ridiculous and digusting...it suggests sexual and degrating images not suitable for children as well as disrespect to women...so I will call their corporate office...if you would like to contact them in agreement to the complaint about this hot mess on the air, here is their number and website, we have to make a difference by taking a stand!

"it suggests sexual and degrating images"
Well maybe if you're a gutter trollop.

"as well as disrespect to women"
Oh isn't this tired, over-used expression dead yet?
Wonder if the women in the ad feel the same way... probably not.

"we have to make a difference by taking a stand!"
Well aren't you just the little crusader.

Really, who cares. It's just an ad that'll run it's course in a couple weeks and then you can go out looking for something else to be offended by.

How to Protect a Message Board From Trolls

by A. Fool, Jan 31, 2017

Advice for moderators on how to identify and deal with trolls.
Having posted a humorous piece on How To Be A Successful Troll, this companion piece is to alert Mods as well as users to the very real danger.

The character who posts *&^& can easily be banned, gagged, and disposed of. The one who launches a vehement attack on another member of the message board can join him.

These are no brainers, on the part of the Troll and in the ease of banning him. The most dangerous and successful trolls will not resort to "no brainers." They will never post obscenities or coarse insults.

They employ the term; "Freedom of Speech" as license to deconstruct a message board.

The idea of an organised attack on a Message Board seems ridiculous if one isn't aware there exists a virtual Union of Trolls which congregates on particular sites regaling others of their exploits.

Taking down a Message Board is a like a Role Playing Game, (RPG) played with real people and real places. Just as winning an online game gets you meaningless points, so too does taking down a Message Board.

The first alert of an attack is often a complaint made by another poster to the Moderator. Disregard at your peril. If a poster takes the time and trouble to complain, (instead of the more usual logging off never to reappear) check it out.

Don't check it out with the attitude the Troll wishes you to adopt that is, Freedom of Speech. Trolls translate this term as absolute license. When you receive a response from a poster using the term; 'Freedom of Speech' your radar should blip...'Troll'. Only Trolls resort to this "defense".

As a Mod, when you examine a post, do it with these caveats:

1.Is it relevant to this site/topic?
2.Does it insult other posters?
3.Is it offensive on the face of it?
4.Would someone logging on for the first time get the correct sense of what this Message Board is about if s/he saw this post first?
If your answers to those questions are "no" for (a) and (d) and "yes" for (b) and (c) delete the post.

Depending on the history of the offender; how long has he been on this MB? What has been his contribution? Banning should be considered.

Most Mods/Owners make the mistake of waiting. They want to be "fair". They want to hear the Troll's side of the story.

Once this happens, the Troll knows he has clear sailing. The complaining poster who is disregarded logs off. She joins the battalion of others who have logged off without making the slightest attempt to reveal disgust. If a Mod does his or her "roster" it is easy to discern how many posters have ceased to log on since the offensive post was made.

Of course, most don't bother. The Troll does. The Troll has all the time in the world to check when his "enemies" last logged on. He knows when a "Veteran" poster has not logged on for three days, she's gone forever. He sees when a "hot" topic that was collecting posts every day is now cold. The Mod doesn't notice this.

Often a Troll, to keep up the number of "hits" and posts will fill the Message Board with active duals and "best friends". The Message Board has now become what the Troll wants; moribund.

Moderators, who might have originally banned the Troll but have been overruled by the Owner will cease to moderate. The fact that a perfectly useful message board has now become a sewer can happen in an hour. All it takes is one committed Troll.

It is better to ban hastily, then to allow one Troll to destroy a message board. Yet, the majority of owners, reading this, will supply all sorts of reasons and excuses as to why not to ban a poster or delete certain threads.

A month or so down the line, (if that long) when the Message Board is empty, Moderators have quit and the Troll has left the site, the Owner might realize why it was wiser to please the complaining poster, not the Troll.

Hey everybody, beware ...apparently there is a individual blogger who goes by the name "common sense"...he is a troll who purposely attacks message boards to sabotage what the monitor has wrote...don't trip by wasting your time...others have noticed it too...just continue to ignore the non sense...mine was recently attacked but the truth still stands so good, LOL! hey, the person might stop by and comment on this blog...if so good, it will expose him or HER so hardly anybody will care what "common sense" has said.

I usually like going to Burger King in the mornings for the breakfast sandwiches. Today I went and the woman on the drive thru was very rude, she threw our food at us, I had ordered french toast sticks, and I like extra syrup, well she told me that would be 30 cents extra. I'm sorry but if I order a product that comes with syrup and want one extra I don't believe I should be charged extra to enjoy the product I ordered. We also asked for Ketchup and she gave us two. What I want to know, is Burger King struggling so bad financially that they have to charge for every little extra sauce, its not like I asked for 10 extra sauces or Syrups, it was one. Needless to say I didn't have it my way as your motto so clearly states and will be frequenting Mcdonalds from now on, unless something changes.

This is actually fairly common - at least it is Canada. For a few years now most fast food outlets charge for extras over and above what comes with your order. Not just burger king, but macdonalds and wendy's too...as well as some restaurants. Ask for lettuce A & W and that might cost extra, depending on the shop. Ask for cheese on something at most fast food shops and it's $1.00 extra.

We seldom use fast food outlets anymore...maybe A&W for the chicken, and arby's for the roast beef, and wendy's for the baked potato, but never macdonalds or burker king.

Maybe your best best would be complain to the Burger King head office. Since Burker King is a franchise maybe complaining to the HO might get some response.

I totally agree with you on the commercial! It is disgusting and obnoxious! I have contacted Burger King! The one thing I have to say is that, they say it's geared towards adults and yet the other night when my 4year old came in the front room the other night as I was turning it off she said ''''don't turn off the show and I told her it's was just a commercial and she said yeah, but it's a kids commercial! She also wanted to know why the "girls" had square bottoms! Does Burger King think we are all so stupid as to think their ad is really for adults!

I was disturbed to see BK using the Mexican flag in a disrespectful manner in a recent commercial promoting one of its latest products. This commercial follows a long line of questionable ads including -- most recently -- one that sexualizes the cartoon character Sponge Bob. I get the attempt at young-adult-male irreverence, but I'm one of them and I don't find any of it funny. As a result, I've long refused to eat BK's subpar food. There's a way to be funny to my demographic without being offensive or tasteless.

I am outraged by the Burger King's, Sponge Bob "Big Butt" commercial.
It is overtly demeaning to all viewers.

The other commercial of the Burger King with his deranged-looking, frozen smile climbing through a little boy's bedroom window with his offer of a tray of goodies is covertly suggestive.

Burger King and Spong Bob are appealing to children to buy their goods through these commercials. These children are innocents. Let's keep them that way for as long as we can!

There is something diabolical going on in the advertizing departments of these companies.

I ordered my food at the drive thru window in New Richmond Wis...I paid for it. The guy who rang up the order had apparently been working on a car...his fingernails & cuticles were filthy black, also the top of his hands were all black dirty car grease. When he brought my order I seen his shirt had a large hole in it / his face was greasy dirty from apparently working on a vehicle. I was speechless... I tossed my food into the garbage.

I called the manager at Burger King when I arrived home. She stated this guy was just running the register & not touching the food & she'd take care of it. Well whoopee do! I'll never go into a Burger King again & will also tell everyone that I know about the nasty filthy person who did touch my food by putting it into the bag / I seen him.

I went to burger king one saturday dinner time with my 3 children. it was the biggest mistake of my life. It was packed. My partner had to stand up so me and our children, 5, 8, 15 could sit down. Because it was so packed we had the idea of orderign the simplest meal possible. This turned out to be 2 happy meals, a burger, 2 salads, 2 orange juices, 2 cokes and a coffee. I went to get the food and I was so Disgusted. After waiting in line for about half an hour. I finally got to place my order. There was only 1 person serving, she kept saying my order out loud and askign if she was correct. She was so slow. There were about 6 workers sat behind the serving place sat on the counters talking. When we finally got our meal, it was about 40 minutes since i joined the line. My eldest daughter who is 15 opened her box to find a half cooked burger covered in grease! M y8 year old son only had chips in his happy meal and his orange juice was so weak you could barely taste it. The salads were ok but my partners coffee was milk! not coffee! On top of everything a worker came past and told My partner her couldn't stand up while eating so he had to go sit in the car outside. I was disgusted and I'm writing to you now as a word of warning

it's shame. Burger King used to be excellent. But the last several years it has been terrible. They have good food and a wide variety. They just don't care who they hire. There are people out there that are looking for employment, especially seniors. Just put an ad in the newspaper. You'll be surprised! Jut don't take anyone. Also keep your mangers on their toes...Or get rid of them.
