customer service
I eat at this restaurant often and the food is good but the customer service is very poor. I have spoken to becky the manager on several occasions about this issue and i think that she has no control over her employees. Dining in or drive- thru is the same rude, disrespectfull, unprofessional attitudes. Today 6/2/17 at 4:30. I went through drive-thru. As i was making my order i could hear a lot of chaos in the background and was put on hold twice. Once i finally pulled around to the window to pay i received quite a few stares and giggles from employees and jasmine my drive-thru server. I asked for condiments and she sucked her teeth and blowed like i was getting on her nerve. This is the same attitudes i see when dining in and as i have made this known to other friends and family, i found out they have experienced the same or similar. Please do something.
I got to captain d's often and the cashiers and servers are very rude, disrespectfull, and unprofessional. They don't have any training in customer relations.
I have dined in and use drive-thru and received the same or similar experience. I have also shared my experience with friends and family to find out that they to have received similar experience.
bad experience
I took my daughter to eat lunch at Captain D's on Sklyand Blvd last weekend. I was very disappointed to say the least. We were dining in and they brought us our food to our table in boxes, bagged up...
My table did not have any napkins and and it was not clean. They ran out of lemons in the condiments area. The food was decent but I would've eaten all of it if I wasn't eating out of a box and without napkins and lemons.
foreign objects in food
On May 1st, we purchased a seafood feast from the Five Points West location. There was what appeared to me to be a fried roach hanging over the edge of a crab shell! Upon returning to the restaurant, and asking to speak to the manager her response was "don't you know that crabs have eyes?" I know that fish have eyes too! But I don't eat eyes or bugs of any kind! Nasty and rude!
3pc battered dipped fish
So today around 12:24pm in Athens, ga I went to your location located on Atlanta hwy to order my lunch, I ordered and left and when I got home I noticed there is hair fried onto my battered fish. I'm trying not to take further action because I could have gotten sick. I go here every other day to eat lunch because I go to school in the plaza so I am a regular customer. I have never had anything like this to happen since I been eating there

The staff working on Tuesday May [protected]@ 4pm, location 1095 Ralph David Albernathy Atlanta Ga are disrespectful and rude. They have you just sitting at the intercom. I went in, no name tags and the one of managers was straight rude at the window as well. She very young, and has No customer service. I will continue to send in and report until this Captain D's change.
very old fish and veggies
05/01/2017 in Montgomery, Al. Atlanta Hwy. I purchase two (2) 2 piece southern style fish w/ 2 sides Rice (very old) Corn (to old to eat) and let me tell you it were the worth old fish i ever ate from this place. The S. style fish were very dark brown, This fish were not Southern Style fish i use to eat at C. D's. It seen the oil they cook this were very old or this fish is no good for human consumption. I will contact some one from this franchise for a refund, This is a shame how this place serve and sell this type of foods. From this day i will make sure all my foods from this is fresh and if not so long from a good customer who eat and use to enjoy with family.
uncleanliness of restaurant
The last couple times we have been to Captain D's where we live, It has been really nasty. My husband and I went there last night and it was the most disgusting place we have ever seen. We ordered our food and went and sat down and we could find one table that was clean, the walls are falling apart, you can see the sheet rock because they have wall paper stapled over it. We will not be back The service was not that great it is a bunch of young people who do not care. This location is in Knoxville Tennessee on Maynardville Highway

I went to restaurant on lunch break ordered 4.99 southern fish plate with extra hush puppies when I got to window she gave me total of 5.49 charge me then realized so she wanted card back to charge 5.87 for 2 extra puppies so I said no I don't want you to charge my card again it was only like 70 cents she coulda gave me them hush puppies her mistake but she was like you want me to take the 2 extra out since you don't want to pay but I wanted to pay you messed up so I was like yea just take them off so it'll be what you charge me cause you saying it might be-2 hours before my money back and that's will be a 10 dollar lunch instead of 5 so I guess they got upset cause when I did get order my plate was sloppy and fish was broke up in peices it was suppose to be a whole peice I went the day before and enjoyed it so I went back when I went in the manager acted like she was so surprise she can't believe my fish broke up like that but you back there fixing plates you did that I didn't fall for it for a minute you made my plate ugly and broke my fish up to be spiteful cause y'all got mad cause I didn't want my card ran again when the decent thing to do is not ask the customer for they card back! It's give them lil60 cents and give me the hush puppies it was your your mistake but no! I went there 2 days in a row will never go back cause they thought I wasn't going to look in my plate till I was too far but something said check your food cause she already got it wrong. I work with the plubic and I know you make mistakes but don't break nobody fish up and throw they plate toghether cause they didn't want to get double charged I never would treat my customers that way
food terrible
Went for lunch earlier this week April 24th to Captain D's at 6400 Charlotte Ave, Nashville 37209.
Saw the 4.99 Shrimp and Fish combo. When I received my order, the butterfly shrimp was about the size of my thumb and my plastic fork was bigger than the fish! Not to say it was all overcooked and brown and the tasted like it had been laying around and put in the microwave to warm it up!
Too bad the food you purchase and expect does not look like what is advertised. See pictures.

mac/cheese and seafood deluxe
Good morning. I first want to say that my wife and I love Captain D's. When we are in southern Indiana or any where in the south we look for our first fixing. We drove out to Cincinnati to attend the Cubs and Reds game. After the game we went to the Captain D's that is in the Xavier campus area. We ordered our regular meals as we always get. But I have to give a negative. I always get the Mac and cheese and Okra for sides. The Mac was cold. And the Okra tasted like it was retried. Not even like we always get. The hush puppies and fish was the same way. My wife went to the counter to let the employee know and she was given negative reactions. My wife over heard the girl telling the other employee that we were just complaining. Thats when my wife came to our booth and said lets just go. $21 dollars and some change gone. But the worse was we couldn't have what we always look forward to. We will continue to dine at Captain D's. Just not at that location. That made just a long ride home. Longer. Have a great week. We were up to order and right off we noticed two different customers were missing food from their orders. As we placed our order there were several different sides unavailable so we settled for whatever was available at the time. At the condiment table there was no ketchup available and for the other condiments no containers were available. The sweet tea was out. The food was good but customer service could use an overhaul.
not receiving food that we ordered
We ordered our fish dinners for a family of six. When we didn't get what we were expecting, we asked if we could switch it out for what we wanted which was battered fish. We were told that wasn't what we ordered and that it couldn't be switched out without refunding and re-ringing up the order. That would have been fine. We had to have a huge ordeal with what should have been a simple replacement with what we thought we were getting. I have my receipt. With the date and time that we came.

I went to Captain D's on camp bowie and las vegas trail in fort worth tx office 0045 and ordered the special meal with the piece of fish and Cajun shrimp and Order broccoli and extra Hush Puppies. as I eat my third bite of my broccoli I noticed a discoloration from it being old and right next to the discoloration there's a maggot. I instantly felt sick to my stomach and began to puke. I had already eaten about 3 peices of broccoli.

Plus every worker seem to be high they was very slow to comprehend anything. Purchased a, 3 piece fish meal tonight. Paid 8.91 for 3 piece fish, baked potato and corn. This fish is inedible. Aside from the greasy bad smell, its unappealing. It taste sooo greasy and it's dripping. Very very greasy taste. Making me nauseous from the smell n taste. First time i have ever gotten a, bad meal from here. Too disappointed in it. Need a refund at least..i can not eat this!

As I walked into the restaurant, it took 5 minutes for someone to help me because a young lady was on her phone and they were "slow". I understand its an hour before closing but a customer is a customer. They were rude the entire time and when I received my food it was cold and the fish strips were so small that there would be no filling up. They looked like crumbs. I already received so much attitude from 2 different employees that I didn't bother requesting any type of resolution. They had no personality and they seemed like they didn't want to work there slouched over the counter. I haven't been to a captain d's in years and was so excited. I was so disappointed.
stealing food
My husband has been ordering drive through from Captain D's Gardendale AL. They would sometimes not put sides we ordered and that was ok but recently they did not include the shrimp skewer that I ordered that goes in the white fish and shrimp skewer. And the manager was condescending when I called his attention. Why do you hire thieves? We will never order again.

My husband and I took my niece and her little friend to the Captain D's in Arab Alabama. We had to walk out! One of the young employees was arguing about something to do with school or cheer or something. She spoke in such a loud tone as if she wanted everyone to hear or notice. She was cussing every other word, using inappropiate language! (MF, F, and GD) The girl cussing had black hair, short and straight and was kinda short in stature. I do not remember but maybe started with an A or E. She was loud, like intentually loud. When another employee tried to hush her, she said, and I quote, (I don't care, I'm f... pissed!) At that point we left and went next door to Arby's. The young girl saw we had 2 children with us! I dont even care to hear it but I sure wasn't going to allow the children to continue to be exposed to such. Somebody needs to talk to these younger employees because there's no need for all that!
drive thru order
I went to Clarksville Indiana Captain D's tonight and when I got to get my turn to order I was told it would be 5 or 6 minutes before they could take my order. Then I ordered the 10 pieces family meal and I ask for cole slaw and fries and hush puppies. He said I get 2 more sides in addition to the order. I said green beans and okra. I live in Borden so its an easy 25 miles one way. I did not check my order. I get home and there is no coleslaw and no fries. I called Tim (4001) the manager and he said to write his name at the top of receipt Tim 4001 and I can go back and get fries and coleslaw. I never want anything for free but it took me close to an hour there and back and to be able to come get my fries and slaw that I paid for isn't good customer service! It just isn't. captain d's #211 (turner road) richmond, va - quality of food
My husband and I visit Captain D's #211 location in Richmond, Va on a regular basis, but lately the quality of food served there has declined. We've had issues with the quality of the shrimp - size is smaller, more breading. Last night we ordered one oyster dinner and one grilled salmon dinner. My husband had the oysters two previous visits, and at that time thought they were very good, but last night the oysters appeared to be large (see pictures). That was not the case, they ended up being very small and covered with a large amount of breading - much more than in previous cases. He showed two of the oysters to the manager, asking him why Captain D's had changed the amount of breading on the oysters, and if the oysters were frozen - not fresh. The manager did ask if he wanted anything else, but by then my husband wasn't interested. My salmon was burnt on the outside (picture of salmon attached). I did eat some of the salmon - inside part. My bread stick (usually very good) was filled with oil and over cooked (picture attached). My husband with not go back to Captain D's for oysters, and if that is they way the cooks are taught to grill - I will not order anymore salmon. I also used to order shrimp dinners all the time, but no more, there is more breading then shrimp.
