Careem unjustified charges, strange behaviour of captain and silence of careem towards complaint

This is to lodge a complaint against the strange behavior of the Careem car booking app followed by a totally weird behavior by its captains.

It was May 18, 2017, Thursday afternoon, when as practice I booked Careem car using the mobile app through my mobile phone [protected]. I was at Statelife Building # 3, Dr.Ziauddin Ahmed Road, Karachi and the ride was booked for Chai Shai at Saba Avenue.

The notification about the captain that I received was of Ikram(details of the number and attempts of dialed calls can be seen at the attachment). When I dialed the received number, he told that he’s at teen talwar and will reach me in 15 mins. Yet, after this initial call he never received my calls. Trusting Careem I didn’t take screen shots of the details of Captain Ikram, else, I would have shared the details of make and registration number of this car, however, this experience has alert me to do so whenever I intend to book a ride with careem.

Meanwhile, to my surprise, I received the message from Careem intimating me about the arrival of the captain named Ibrahim Ghulam Farooq, possessing Subaru Pleo, Whiite, BHU-980 and the contact number that I received in the same message was [protected]. (details of the number and attempts of dialed calls can be seen at the attachment)

The most strange part of this case is that when I told Ibrahim that my brother is to travel with him and I added the call to help both the person locate each other, Captain Ibrahim went silent and while I was on the call, he cancelled the ride. These two actions i-e cancellation of ride and not talking to the man raised concerns to me. Later, I booked the ride with Careem captain Sabih Haider and had a pleasant experience

Despite the concerns, I did not write Careem, as I always have superb experience with the captains and also with its customer service.

Nonetheless, today when I checked into the app to book the ride, I found negative balance of Rs. 124 and that in the case when I paid 250 for the ride of 224 rupees. Careem management should make such arrangements that the Client should also know the reason of ride cancellation by the Captain, incase if the Captain is cheating on and also, the calls of all Captains should be recorded as safety measures

I request you to look into the matter and donot charge the fee to me for the captains’ issue. If required the captain's case shall be forwarded to CPLC for this strange behavior and necessary justice for all clients. Careem customer service could also check the call records.

Careem unauthorized credit card charge

Hi,

I have notified with [[protected]] receipt for trip on may 23, 22:20 (Gmt+0200) egy - egp 94
My credit card has been charged for egp 94 whereas I haven't taken this ride at all. I guess this ride has been taken in egypt and I am siting in uae. This is serious security issue I need to know how I got charged for trip that I haven't taken and how could this has happened? I had to block my credit card and had to bear charges for that. I also read over internet that same happened with others. Some action has to be taken for the same. Please do the needful and update.

Careem pay Dubai unauthorized Chargers continue to appear in my account linked to my debit card. I live in Florida and do not use transportation services such as uber. How do these things happen. I had to request for another debit card and wait 7 days to get it. Careem this is fraud. Please investigate!

Careem I am complaining about captain not turning up at pick up location in a scheduled ride even though careem texted me captain has arrived.

I scheduler a ride on 22 may 2017 at 6.15-6.30 am. In the morning of 22nd may at 5: 26, i got the following text.
"Your Careem is here. Captain is Muhammad Fasih Qayoom, +[protected]. Toyota Corolla Go Plus, Black, ATW-676. Have a pleasant ride!"
I activated my careem app to locate driver's location but he was nowhere on the map. I called him three times between 6:20 to 6:25 buy he did not respond even once. As i had a bus to catch and could not afford being late ( the whole point of scheduling a ride in the first place) i called another captain using careem go now option. Later the captain with whom i had scheduled a ride cancelled it. Now in my careem app, i have -270 credit for scheduling the ride and not using it. I mentioned pickup and drop off locations clearly and waited patiently for the captain. It is unfair i have to pay fine for something i didn't do. This is my first bad experience with careem. I hope careem customer service gives me a reason to continue using the app. Thank you.

Careem your captain behaviour

Sir I book a ride at 4:30 pm and got a message "Your Careem is here. Captain is Umair Abdullah, +[protected]. Honda Civic, Silver, LEC 6030. Have a pleasant ride!" when I came out from home then nobody was there I message him "I m ready now" and wait for him but no body came there. I called Mr Umair Abdullah to confirm. He said Now I came back and your ride has been cancled please again requst for ride. after again request, Captain Muhammad Nasir, +[protected]. Suzuki WagonR, White, LEA-7503. drop me sceem moor and charge 560 Pkr Why This was my firt ride on cream my charges was just 207 why 350 has been charged extra. I want refund my RS. I dont take ride. never will ride again if you will not refund me.

Careem can't take ride

Dear team,

I want to bring that in your notice, I can't take careem ride due to an error appears on mobile screen (Screen shot attached). I'm using your service randomly, but now I changed my phone and when I clicked on "chalo" then your app can't be proceed. Kindly check and resolve my issue on priority. It'll be highly appreciated.

Careem captain i'd blocked since last month

I am the vendor limo I'd 107613, as well a captain self I'd 152475 I was working with careem since last 6 months but the issue which I had facing since last month that is my I'd had blocked and no support I have found from support team Karachi .The matter is due to the complain of customer how do you blocked Captain I'd without informing Captain and how did you make one sided decision pls let's me support I had a rank as careem and I had and I had made very tough time to achieve this rank so pls make it possible to unblock my Captain I'd 152475 so I will try my best to serve you better.thanks

Dear Sir/Madam,
Have a good day.
My account has been blocked, I went into the careem Head office Islamabad and acknowledged my mistake. The officer in the careem office insisted that he could not help me in this regard. They told me That I can email on go@careem.com
Last night I contacted by email. So he said, please contact Islamabad Head Office.
I started working with careem by resigning from my textile job 1 months ago. And worked hard. And I did not even think about my mistake, if I had been aware, I would never have done such a mistake.
I am the father of four children's. and I live in the rental house, and I am very upset due to work.
I apologize with careem management, giving a guarantee that there will be no complaint from me in the future.
So, once a chance, I would be grateful to the cream administration.

Careem unethical behaviour

The day before yesterday, on 17th May 2017, I booked Careem from Defence phase 5 A street. I got confirmation of arrival but when I stepped out of my house, I didn't find the vehicle. I called careem office and they sent the details of the captain.
When I called the captain he blamed me for canceling the ride. I told him that I did not cancel to which he suggested that I should cancel the ride. He was rude and I told him that I will not cancel it or I have to pay for no reason. after 15 minutes he canceled it himself.
I was charged for this which I found unethical. the amount was very conveniently deducted from my wallet. I felt very annoyed and disappointed. I request the amount back in my wallet.

Careem captain id 162355

My name is haq nawaz. I am careem captain as well as vendor. I did 12 hour shift on 15 may 2017 but in system my time counted 10.71 hours and again on 16 may 2017 I did 13 hour but in system it mention 10.80 hours. We work very hard and at end just to save guarantee amount careem system playing with me. Kindly do the needful.

Careem unauthorized credit card charges

Hi,

I have notified with [[protected]] Receipt for trip on May 14, 17:45 (GMT+0200) EGY - EGP 18
My credit card has been charged for that
although I haven't taken this ride! This is an SECURITY ISSUE I need to know how I got charged for trip that I haven't taken and how could this has happened? meanwhile I will suspend my credit card it's urgent and I will delete my Careem account until you get back to me, it is really frustrating

Same happened with me today. I also received Invoice No [protected] which is charged EGP 94. I guess this trip taken in Egypt and I am sitting in UAE. How this is happening I don't understand. This is serious issue which needs immediate attention. I had to block my Card due to this.

Careem service

My name is Syed i registered as captian online in Islamabad i received a message for training at 1700 hrs when i reached at office in G-9/3 markaz they put me in line for my turn and gave me the token i told them i have training at 1700 hrs but they did not listen when my turn came a guy at counter told me to go straight in training room but that was already locked .Your staff at counter is rude they are not giving proper information only we have to wait for our turn. you should make the information desk to give us the proper information to avaoid any delays.

Organization, responsibility and confidence seems lacking. People with knowledge, sensible and responsible with confidence be placed at Customer Services.

Yesterday May 15, 2017, I filled the form for signing partnership docs. at home. I gave time 12 to 3 PM, till now nobody showed up. No communications. I bound myself to be available during the given window.

Wish them all the best and hope they will hire experienced personnel who can handle Customers with Care, Aijaz [protected]

Careem payment not received

I took a ride yesterday.. Total was Rs. 264. Driver without asking me entered 270. When I gave him 500, he said he didn't change.. I said top up the remaining amount Rs 230 in my account so he said that at this moment your ride is finished, I will make a request and they will add the amount into your account. Its been hours now and now his cell phone is off.

Careem captain/gps

Captain took a wrong turn which led to longer distance and extra fees than usual or what is approximately.. when booking showed 30 to 35 and i was charged 40. Asked the driverif i can pay 20 and be charged negative credit till the problem get solved but he refused so i paid the whole amount.
Not happy about it at all cause this is not the first time and i believe will never be the last time.. not satisfied.. period!

Careem driver not adding money in credit

I travelled today on careem from model city 1 fsd to university of Education Samanabad fsd around 8:00 AM. My fare was 326.i paid to driver 500 but he said that due to not having change he will add the rest amount in my credit. There were 18 rs already in credit but later on when I checked, it turned into zero PKR. It's not a matter of few rupees but it's a matter of credibility. The driver name is Muhammad Imran.contact # +[protected]. It was Toyota corolla black LEA-4495.

Careem captain unethics and misbehave

I booked a ride yesterday (LED-3432)
but when i sit in the car, the driver dropped me on road after 100 meters and cancelled the ride. He said there will be no charges if driver cancel the drive. I booked the new ride (LEE-6059) from where he dropped me off and then reached my destination. i called customer service but still my balance showing negative.

Please take serious action against him and

Captain Yasir Iqbal, +[protected]. Car is Suzuki WagonR, Grey, LED-3432.

And waive off penalty charges that should have been charged to driver Yasir Iqbal for misbehave.

Careem captain

I requested a captain as always he was 3 minutes away from me but then he started going further and further I started calling him but he didn't answer I waited for like 20 minutes but then I were too late that I took normal taxi while I am in there after nearly 30 minutes I got a message saying your captain in is here now I payed 8 SR and I got late on my appointment captain on name :Abdulaziz Khaled

Careem service

Hi i am the vendor of careem its being more than 1 week that i have been register but still they havnt gave me limo portal access how should i do that i have been visited to your office so many times which is at shahra e qaideen kindly hire some knowledgable employees for the careem as it is a good business but due to your employees it will decrease your image of the organization

Careem careem driver amjad khan

Amjad khan having a white color corolla car is suppose to be the ### person
He has no ethics about how to speak.
If this type of driver you hire then sorry to say your careem service will fall down
He is barking like dog with a harsh tone. He ruined my money by wasting my time .
Please give a strict action towards him if you dont take any action on him i make you sure that i will sue your company...
Thank you. And give him a palenty for what he had done with us.

Careem wallet money

My name is Nada Zaki I ordered a car today 7/5/w/o16th to take me from 5th settelment to AUC tahrir falaky building.The driver's name is Abdulaziz Ali Amin and the fare modle is Nissan Sunny bronze, J2787. My trip costed 61 L.E and I paid 100 L.E and the driver told me that he is going to put the rest in my wallet but I did not receive anything in my wallet.

Careem bonus

Respect sir,
on 3rd of April 2017 i took 3 rides put of which on 2 rides on which i got 500 500 and a sum of 1000 rupees bonus and on the third i got 460 rupees. Then on 5th of April this sum of Money was subtracted from my circle. why? No reason was bothered to be given.
kindly add the sum taken back to my account. If this is because of your software. a petty mistake? Then i am afraid to think the possibility of this happening every time we take rides and our money being subtracted from our accounts.
there are more complaints to be solved. but this is one huge problem that immediately needs to be solved.
