CarFlexi be very careful when hiring a car through carflexi.com

Carflexi voucher DFF96CDB, issued on 18 august 2018
My friend (not fluent in English) made a reservation with CarFlexi.com for a car from Europcar to be picked up in Vasto, Italy. He paid € 84.65 with his prepaid Mastercard. At the rental station they did not accept his card, regardless of the fact that according to their terms and conditions the payment of the rent must be made with the same card used for the reservation. Cash payment was also not accepted, so he left without car and had to hire a taxi at his own costs.
Carflexi.com refuses refunding by claiming my friend had no valid credit card (same as they accepted for payment of the reservation fee). They first also claimed he did not show up. We will take legal action against the company.

CarFlexi car rental

I was in Bologne to your provider (No 583650543) to pick up a 9 seated car Mercedes vito(car vaucher No CF83BA0D) at 11:00 as the vaucher said. The car did not exist to your provider. Every effort that was made to contact you was in vane. I have paid on 2 May 2019 you 138, 42 euros with my cretid card in order to get a vaucher. As far as there was no car availiable and there was no solution by your provider, I demand a full refund of my money. The girl at the providers desk gave me this number

CarFlexi sales taxes were supposed to be included with the price of the rental car

* The initial e-voucher provided by CarFlexi specified that the TVA (French sales taxes) are included in the price of the rental.

* However, SIXT charged an additional 224, 35 euros for TVA taxes to the final bill. Please advise what needs to be done in order to be refunded this amount.

CarFlexi predatory behaviour regarding minor damage to car.

It is a very long story. Excessively complex system to refund Hoppa fares to car hire facility. Refusal to allow me to change my mind and take my car back to the end of the rental contract so minor scuffs on alloy wheel could be put right at a far lower cost than their arbitrary 'fine' onsite. Multiple evidence of complaints related to this company in press and online. Could someone please call me on [protected] to tell you about it?

CarFlexi unexplained credit card charge

Hello,
We booked a rental car trough Carflexi. We pay CAD$36.31 for booking on Jan3/2019. Receipt# 3734389 Voucher#CF373870. The cost of the rental car for 8 days in Italy (Pick up Venice- Dropp off Rome) was 159.08 euro which supposed to be paid at the return desk in Rome. We had extra charge of 37.81 euro with no explenation. We asked how much is the bill ? No one gave us reveipt. They told us everything is fine and that they will bill credit card? AMOUNT?
After this payment was made the company is keep charging us - April 16/2019 -66.34 CAD, April 18 we were charged twice ( 66.08CAD each time) .
Now on June 11/2019 we received another credit card charge of 298.03CAD.
Can you please contact the company and have some explenation from them? It is very hard to be reached.
They keep charging our credit card. This rental car for 8 days became 800$. We should have booked with another, more trusted company.
Will they continiue taking money each month?
What kind of company is that?..

CarFlexi unexplained credit card charges

I rented a car for 2 days through CarFlexi. I paid the rental contract in full, but upon returning the car, I was charged an extra US$161.11 (double the rental agreement). Avis says the contract was not unlimited mileage - CarFlexi's voucher says it was. I have emailed CarFlexi almost 12 times now - but 3 weeks later I still have no response from them. Their chat line is completely unsupportive and refuse to help - citing I have to go via the email address (Which never gets answered).

I have now been charged a second time by Avis on my credit card - again unexplained. CarFlexi have again ignored all correspondence - not even an acknowledgement email

CarFlexi car rental

Dear sir/madam,

Few weeks ago (8'th of june) in Kutaisi we had a very unpleasant situation with the car renthal. We were not given the deposit back, because of scratches we think we didn't make while having the car.
When we were given the car it was parked next to the busy road (David Agmashenebeli Ave), so we could not really check one side of it, because it was quite dangerous. (Side on which supposed scratches later occured).

We did not make any scratches while driving, that we know for sure, but of course we cannot guarantee that it did not happen when car was parked, so we did not argue about it (car was scratched all over, you can see that in the vehicle delivery and acceptance protocol, so noticing new scratches would be quite difficult). Despite that we decided to check old pictures from Naniko office computer and we actually found the scratch that we were blamed for. And then things got a bit weird, because office worker started to blame us for other things and change his mind several times. It seemed that he just had a goal to keep the deposit.

Later on we were also blamed that we are translating everything (because the driver did not speak english). According to the officer he should only speak with driver, but that just sounded like an easy way to trick him and make to sign the pappers.

We understand that we made a mistake not taking pictures of the car while getting it from the office (even though none of the scratches are visible in the pictures we took afterwards, all of the pictures are attached on this letter), we do not expect to get the deposit back, but please check if there is more of such experiences from other custommers. Because entire situation was wery unpleasant, other people might experiance the same and should be warned in advance.

CarFlexi carflexi

On the 7 July 2019 I received a conformation from Cariflxi e-Voucher No. CF69037F for Car Rental Provider Confirmation No:RC0758370.
I went to Kraków airport to pick up the car from Right Cars, to be told that they have received any details re hire plus that no cars were available.
There also were no cars available from the other rental providers.
I checked my bank straight away to see if this was a scam and found that money was taken from my bank for the service. BUT NO SERVICE was provided.
I finally went online to Carflxi on line chat and was assured that I would get my money back(have photo) but only if they received conformation from Right Cars.
But how can they Right Cars do that when they don't have any information ?

I believe this to be a scam and should be stopped from happening.
I have all the paper work to prove this.
I have contacted Carsflexi with no results.
Apparently I was not the only person this happened to in my time at the airport.

CarFlexi overcharged, no response to complaint, horrible service

I recently hired a vehicle in Turkey through CarFlexi. The price seemed a little lower than the other companies, so I used their website to rent a 7-seater vehicle, which was supposed to be a Dacia Lodgy or similar. However, there were so many issues with the vehicle I received and I complained both to the local service provided and the customer service department of CarFlexi who said they would forward my comments to the relevant company and respond within 15 days (which I thought was too long). However, that was 30/05/2019 and although I have sent a few other emails since then, I have not heard anything from them. Below I have pasted some of the points that I raised and the attached photos show some of the problems:

First_ the vehicle that was parked in the car park was a Fiat Doblo and not a Dacia Lodgy! The gentleman who met us at the airport said that their OFFICE was 4km outside the airport. I drove behind him and then he stopped at a petrol station and said that the policy is empty to empty (but the confirmation says full to full). So_ I had to pay for the fuel first thing after arrival. This also meant that I returned the car with lots of unused fuel in the tank_ which I had paid for. This is only one of the tactics used by them to rip off their customers. I followed him into what he called their office_ which was an open car park_ which looked like a small orchard or even a house_ with a small building in the middle. By the time we arrived_ it had passed 10:40pm. It was dark and quiet there and being located in the wilderness_ my son_ who is 7 years old_ was greatly scared. I tried to calm him down the whole time. However_ he was right to be terrified. It was all dark and it was so late; and we did not know anywhere! Next_ I was charged for what I had already paid for; my confirmation says that my booking had full insurance and zero excess including wheels_ tyres_ etc. But he kept saying that these items are not covered_ so he charged me 15 Euros for what I had already paid for. Then_ he said that if I was paying by card_ there was a 4% commission that would go to the company and not his office. I have never had to pay commission for paying by card for a car rental. He added all these plus 28 Euros for a car seat (which I will describe shortly). We were tired_ we could not communicate well_ as he did not speak very good English and kept insisting on his own side of the story_ and I was worried about the safety of my family_ including my little daughter. Therefore_ I did not argue too much. I made the payments and received the car. The first car seat that we were given was literally a piece of rubbish; I threw away a much better and cleaner one a month earlier. It was totally covered in dust. When we complained_ he brought us another one_ not much better. It was worn out_ not adjustable_ and very dirty too (I have photos confirming this). By then_ we were so exhausted and nervous that we just wanted to get out of there and reach our hotel. The vehicle_ which was not what we were promised_ was absolutely awful and totally unsafe. It had done over 376_000 km_ the display showed a message saying it had passed service time_ the clutch pedal was so hard that I could hardly change gears. I really felt unsafe in it_ but we had no choice then; we were in the middle of nowhere_ exhausted and nervous. I drove the car to the hotel and the following day_ I sent him a message on Whatsapp explaining the problems and asking for a replacement_ but he said that he was in another city and that the car was serviced and OK (I can send you a screenshot of this exchange). I had a terrible time going around in that car_ as I have a left foot problem and changing gears with that horrible clutch was dreadful and painful. He never contacted me again to say if another car was available_ and from what I collected from his words on the final day_ they only had that 7-seater vehicle as they were going to drive it to Izmir for another rental order. A couple of days before the end of the rental period_ the malfunction light came on too_ and the display constantly showed a message saying that the engine needed attention. I did not drive it any further and didn't even contact that gentleman as I knew his answer beforehand. We had to use public transport in the last couple of days_ while we had rented a car! I just returned the car to him and expressed my dissatisfaction_ to which he responded by saying that he would compensate for it next time (as if I am planning to go to the same city again and again). All in all_ not only am I not happy with the service I have received_ but I would like compensation for the low level of service_ the extra charges I have paid (both for the unusable car seat_ the commission and the extra insurance charge)_ the final days that we used public transport rather than the car itself_ and for all the stress we were inflicted with on our holiday. Every time I drove that car_ I was worried about the safety of my family. It is totally unacceptable_ while I had paid a good amount of money compared with the Turkish currency and the fees over there. I have photos of the car seat and the car display showing the errors and the car mileage. I can also send you a photo of the garage_s business card showing that it is actually a car park and by googling its location_ you can see where it is located.

CarFlexi no rental but charged

I went online to rent a car, seen carflexi and liked the price.
payed 40.43 and was supposed to pay the rest at the rental desk.
after i payed 40.43 i got an email saying i needed a card with a caution of 12000 mdh.
well i havent got such a card! so i didnt get the car and havent seen the money since.
now, had i known i need such caution before renting i would never go through the process as i dont have such amount on my credit card.
please look into this asap as i havent heard from carflexi since

CarFlexi cancelling my booking with no prior notice

I have a booking with the voucher number CF59BD03
I haven't received any clear instruction from Carflexi website that UAE driving license is no longer accepted in Austria although I have used it several times earlier
The company cancelled my booking immediately which led to cancel my vacation as I have several bookings and destination that requires a car
Please send me a full refund of the amount of the booing as well as a compensation for the loss of my travel.

CarFlexi rent a car from chania airport from enterprise rent a car

Dear sirs,
I had made a car reservation through your site in order to rent a car from chania airport on 11/01/2019, with a cost of 109, 78 euros. I had paid this amount from my debit card the day of reservation. The problem is the following:
When I arrived to the office of enterprise rent a car, the local employee, mrs. Rodanthi kalorimaki, informed me that I had made a mistake making the reservation and I had booked the car for more than one day that I actually needed the car. So, she propoed me to cancel the contract and cretate a new one for only one day but with full coverage which I had paid 104, 59 euros. (receipt executive lease, palinos akrothriou). The problem now is that I see in my account that the contract with carflexi did not be cancelled, so I have paid both the amounts. I spoke on the phone with enterprise rent a car in greece and they adviced me that you must return the amount back.

CarFlexi undisclosed charges from the credit card

My booking number is CF6198FC.
I booked the car for 4 days and total rent including full insurance which was 158 Euros in total and additionally I have had to pay 600 Euros of deposit.
Initially they deducted approx 49 euros from my credit card and I thought it is advance amount which will be deducted from the rent. And I have had to pay only remaining 108 or 110 Euros.
When I reached to the 'Rentis' - car supplier company, they told me that they will have to charge me full amount of rent including insurance (158 Euros) and the deposit (600 Euros).
Then I asked whether this 49 euros (198 PLN) will be returned to my account or not and his response was negative.
Then we both directly talked to someone in the UK customer care and representative told me that I have to pay full rent including the insurance (158 Euros) and deposit. when I enquired about the earlier charged amount of 49 euros, he said that it charged from Car flexi (12 euros Car flexi and 37 euros for insurance). I again asked to representative over call whether they will return the money to my account or not, his answer was negative.
So, I think this is completely fraud what they show on the internet. and I am not sure about how to get my money back.

CarFlexi (request a refund) reservation cancelled because doesn't have a credit card.

I made reservation (CF731B1D) from 21.6.2019 to 25.6.2019 by Carflexi and I choosed Avantcar provider. When I came to airport to pick up car, in office my reservation was cancelled because I did not have a credit card, just debit card. Therefore, I would like to ask you for refund money what I paid by card before pick up.in attachment you can find confirmation of cancelled reservation.

On arrival at Alicante airport at the pick up desk the Record go assistant did not accept the payment I made with you (€ 208, 05 - 30.04.19) and I had to pay a new total cover car insurance for € 269, 54 . Record go instructed me to contact you, in order to get a repayment of € 208, 05 on my bankaccount.I hope you understand that I cannot accept to pay twice for a car insurance. I do hope we can settle this problem asap. Enclosed I sent ypu the Record go rental agreement (€ 419, 07) as an attached file.

CarFlexi change of price for the renting of a car

I made a reservation for a car through CarFlexi. My number of reservation is : CF9248C1. The company of renting proposed was SIXT; The reservation number SIXT was [protected] for a renting of a car from 14/5/2019 to 18/5/2019 and the price was 165, 49 €. In fact, a first amount of 33, 79 € was prepaid and I paid 254, 84 €. So I paid a total of 288, 63 € to be compared to the inital amount of 165, 49€. This is uncceptable et I would like to recover the diffrence.

Second case, I made a reservation directly to SIXT as I thought maybe your relation with SIXT was not so good. I received a confirmation for a renting of a car from 30 to 31 of May at an amount of 77, 24 $. When I arrived to SIXT in order to take the car, the employee told me that the cost of this renting was now 298 $ (it was only for a day renting). As I was not happy and I told to the employee that this manner of doing was not acceptable, she answered that it was the policy of the company SIXT. So I decided to rent a car with another company and I rent a car with ALAMO at a normal price.
In conclusion, I will never recommend this company which I considerer acts as ganster. I will also communicate on the web on this company.

CarFlexi car hire

I hired a car on line for my arrival at Brisbane airport on 14 May 2019. It was with Atlas. My plane was due to arrive at 4.35pm so I booked the car for 5pm. The plane was about 10 minutes late. I followed instructions and waited till i had collected my luggage before ringing. This was about 5.10pm. I was told to go across the sky walk and wait for a pick up. This i did. It was sometime after 5.30pm that I was told the office had closed and I should come back the following day to collect a car. This, of course, was ludicrous. I needed a car right then in order to depart from the airport. I then had to lug my suitcase back to the terminal and pay for another hire car. I ended up driving away after 6pm in the dark, something I had hoped to avoid as i was a lone passenger in an unfamiliar place.

Given this inconvenience, I assumed there would be no problem receiving my deposit back. Quite absurdly, I have been told that I can't have it. Somehow I was supposed to know that the car hire wouldn't be available after 5 pm. I am appalled by such poor service. I await a refund.

CarFlexi location de voiture à l'aéroport de bergamo/italie

Madame, Monsieur,

En date du 16 mai 2019 j'ai réservé sous la référence de CARFLEXI CFCFF274 une location de voiture à l'aéroport de Bergame/Italie pour les dates du 21 au 23 mai 2019. Etant donné que j'ai modifié mon plan de vol le même jour, j'ai annulé cette première réservation et j'ai demandé de modifier les dates du 23 au 24 mai 2019. J'ai reçu la confirmation d'annulation de la première réservation et une autre confirmation de réservation sous la référence de CFC6574E. Le problème c'est que le système de réservation chez vous a un bug et n'a pas tenu en compte les modifications souhaitées. En me présentant chez l'agence de location GOLDCAR à l'aéroport de Bergame le jeudi 23 mai 2019, j'étais informé que je n'ai pas de réservation à mon nom. J'étais obligé de faire sur place une nouvelle réservation pour un jour suivant mon programme de vol souhaité(du23 au 24 mai 2019) par internet sous la référence CFD87C70.

Merci de me rembourser la totalité de la réservation (location +assurance) référence CFC6574E.

CarFlexi Car rental through carflexi; booking number :cfc3a98b

I booked on Carflexi webpage a car to be picked from Fiumicino airport .
While announced that the total cost will be 225.6 Euros, CARFLEXI, for an unknown reason, charged directly my credit card 75.60 euros that were not even accounted for nor considered by AVIS.
On top of that, the suggested total of 225 Euros for 9 days of rental became 628.81 Euros for a lesser period ( 6 days instead of the originally planned 9 days) !

CarFlexi cf131de1 - the reason for this complaint is that the price increased by more than double what was agreed.

The vehicle was offered at an amount of $ 198 dollars in total with the insured included, when the car was returned to the company the price of the vehicle increased to the amount $ 466.66 dollars that I check in my bank account days later, plus $ 38.65 of the reservation, what I mean is to pay more than what was offered with charges that do not include the promotion of the car, and I would like an explanation of the increase in the price for my reservation and a debit of money that charged more because it is fair to us that they took more money than agreed. I contacted the company and they gave me the same price of $ 128 of the car rent plus $ 70 dollars of insurance, a total of $ 198 dollars.
