I took up a Cartrack contract of R279 per month with additional road assistance plan of around R69 per month. It turned out that I was debited R440 per month instead. I did not take notice of this throughout the contract duration.
I sent email which returned undelivered for sometime to query this matter. It turned out much later that I used the wrong address, my fault.
For about 4 months or so, I skipped these payments because they did not make sense but later repaid and brought my account up to date. It turned out that I was told that I was blacklisted and should pay R1800 for my name to be cleared and also that I would have to pop out 25k for my vehicle to be recovered should it be stolen. With this, I decided to terminate the contract with immediate effect in August 2023. I was told the contract requires 20 days to be cancelled which I objected to and requested a print to this effect.
I continued to make follow ups with no response. I wrote email with no response. I wrote WhatsApps on your pages with no response. I asked for the ombudsman contact with no response.
I was notified one time when I called that the reason my account was high was because it was billed twice for the road assistance. I requested the telephonic recording and it was not provided. I was also told that the plan I chose was supposed to come with a happy button which I never received.
Form this point on, I decided to reverse every debit order that goes through and everytime they chn6the account reference. I spoke to almost everyone in the including Thabiso the manage, Keitumetse and many others. None of them responded to my query except continued debit orders. By the way, since I was told that was was listed some months ago, I only got notice of this formal notice only on the 30th October 2023 and for me, I call it lying through out and expecting me to pay 1800 rands to clear my name.
Desired outcome: So, what I want is a refund of the extra money that I have been paying and to clear my name.
