I'm Thandukuthula Khambule 24 years, black male from Pietermaritzburg.
I lost my iPhone 5S back then in 2015 and it was a contract phone from Cell C and I went to the store to blacklist it and also went to the SAPC to open a case and I was assisted. However, yesterday I went through my phone book using my other phone and I came across my lost phones cell number and I phoned it and I was shocked to hear it ringing and active on whatsapp.
I'm really not satisfied with what Cell C did to me because they said my iPhone has been blocked and the sim card too. I don't understand how is this possible, today I went back to Cell C store and they told me that they can't help me since the number belongs to somebody else Ismari.
Please help me, I am angry with Cell C. Here are my details below:

I am client of Cell C, I have just found out that, my account has been handed over to the legal department. On the 7 of June 2017, at 09:00 am, I contacted cell c customer service in order for me to settle my account, I was given a number to contact( [protected] ) I called the legal department the whole day, but no one is answering, I would like to know how do i settle this account if I am unable to get the banking details of Cell C, so that I can pay the outstanding amount .
I would really appreciate it if the legal department can respond to this message as speedily as possible, as I am willing to settle this account as soon as possible.
I trust that in good faith who ever receive this message will advice me accordingly.

I found out that my previous contract outstanding amount was handed over to legal departments,one of their attorney sent me an sms I paid the amount they said I am owing and also the proof of payment so my question is, how long should I wait to be cleared or to get statement or whatsoever letter that is a proof of payment? Cell c gave me the legal department contact number but it doesn't reach them is on voicemail

cancellation of my contract after 24 months...
I Called into Cell C on the 4th of Mei to cancel my contract with them which have lapsed in Feb 2017, it was confirmed on a recorded line that the Total of : R453.75 will not again be deducted from my account, they confirmed that I can take another option which will be R30 a month then they will at least keep me as a customer whereby they provide me with 150MB a month and free sms's, I confirmed and again asked the man to confirm that the normal amount will not again be deducted, this was confirmed again.
Well guess what they deducted it again on the 31/05/2017, when I called in the first time I was transferred around and no one could assist me, the second time around a lady helped me Dumi, who advised that she has logged a case and if I want this resolved ill go to a Cell C store,
Point 1 : I am being inconvenienced as I need to drop everything and go and sit to have them pull calls which the call centre themselves are suppose to be able to do...
Point 2: No contact for a week, no one has bothered to contact me to find out if my situation was resolved.
This is the most pathetic service I have received in a long time.
And I am a Supervisor and Manager in a call centre and cannot imagine this standard of service being provided to our customers.
I want my money to be refunded and I want this resolved, I will go to every social media page and post my experience if that is what it takes for Cell C to start giving a [censor] about their customers!

And the issue continues, well after deducting money which was not suppose to be deducted im being told ill only be credited with R200 and some back however the total amount taken from me was (Cell C â R523.75), I should be refunded with R 453.75 ! ! !
The consultant cannot listen to me, and interrupts me the whole time, they are unwilling to send me the recordings and have me take this further my own way.
I cannot go to the bank and reverse the debit as this will cause a problem with my credit which is good at the moment.
I am so disappointed with Cell C, I expected so much more, I had the same issue with MTN in 2012 before I started with Cell C and now just to find out that they are exactly as bad with [censor] service from their consultants.
I don't even want to be a customer anymore of Cell C and I wont even refer anyone to them again, absolutely no integrity !

Hi, my name is Ntshuxeko, I sent a claim to finrite back in April 2017. I was sent from pillar to post without assistance. In May 18 2017 I received an email with banking details for excess fee. of which I paid on the 27th of may 2017 at standard bank.
To this day I have yet to receive any feedback on my claim status. The service that I received from both cell and their insurance administrator's is totally disgusting.
To add salt, I am being told now that the new administrators do not have my information regarding the claim I have made.

atrocious customer service
I've been trying to cancel my contract since May 2017. I called in and recieved the cancellation form. I am unsure of they recieved it because of system problems.
I want to the listed address in Cape Town onlytk be told the no longer at that building and left no forwarding address(1 Thibault Sqaure). I've then called in almost everyday, the phone are always busy.
My contract is to end mid-June and am no long e intersted in thia service. Because of this behaviour and lack of urgency in their response, I want my initial call to be safe of notice for the cancellation and should be allowed to serve as confirmation that the service is not going to proceed on a month to month basis.
I've taken due diligence to ensure notice was given and comply but because of their negligence and lack of customer service, if my form was not received and after I followed up, I want the call to suffice as my notice.
I never contracted with Glocell, the transfer was from Altech Autopage and I have never experienced such sublevel service in all my dealings with a service provider.
Kindly confirm cancellation of my contract within 7 business days I this compliant or I will escalate this matter to ICASA for assistance.

cell c gave, me, the most horrific insufficient service I have ever received in south africa.
CellC gave me the most horrific, insufficient service, I have ever received in South Africa. I am a medical practitioner and have owned a medical practice for multiple successful years. Annual income over R70 000 per month.
I was with Vodacom for many years. After seeing cell c deals I have decided to switch contracts. I, however, waited at cellc shop menlyn over the weekend for 3 hours with very unfriendly and inefficient staff. I was ask to supply Cell c with 4 months of bank statements not 3. I went to cell c before I decided to cancel my subscription with Vodacom and was told I only need 3 months of banking statements. I was also asked to first go cancel my Vodacom subscription as they cannot help me before this process is completed. I did get the 4 months bank statements and cancelled my subscription before heading back to the menlyn cell c shop. On my 3rd arrival to cell c shop in menlyn, I was asked to supply proof of my registration with the medical board, which I supplied. I was also asked to supply them with a water and lights bill, which I did. I was also asked to supply them with a SARS reg account, which I did. After all this was done I was told no medical practice can be issued a cell c contract as a medical practice is not registered as a BK. Apparently no application can be granted without a BK nr. Medical practices don’t receive a BK nr. I waited for 4 hours in the menlyn cell c shop for this info after supplying them with endless documents and requests.
I already have a 24 month wifi rooter contract on my business/practice with cell c. I am very confused as why this was such a process. I also cancelled by Vodacom subscription as prescribed by the inefficient rude manager at menlyn shop. The rudeness I experienced at the menlyn shop drove me to Brooklyn where I came in contact with another insufficient staff member. There was an email send to a Clanton at head office only to get a reply back that the practice cannot qualify for a contract over a R1000.00 rand per month? Really Cell C? A medical practice with over R70 000 income per month cannot qualify for a R1000 contract. Are you seriously that incompetent? You wasted my time, energy and I will not recommend you to anyone. I went to Telkom after this horrible experience with CellC was approved within minutes and qualified for any contract of my choice.
I was told my a staff member Henry at Brooklyn I cannot receive Claytons surname or email or contact nr so I have decided to go to hello peter and I will stop at nothing to let my complaint be heard with the MD. The staff at CellC get paid to do a Job…learn how to do your job properly!

Good day I have purchased a Samsung j5 device on the 4th feb 2016 on contract with the insurance cover of R66 in feb 2016 the value of device was R3998.99 and I insured to cover that
on 20may 2017 I was robbed of my handset and proceeded to claim from finrite insurance which I spent 3days holding the line for 3 to 5 hours at a time apon finally getting through I made my claim and stated what had happened
a week later I was ask to pay the excess amount of R350.70 to a standard bank account.
With this I emailed and queried as to why I should pay that amount as to my understanding and sitting with the insurance claim form in front of me it states that a device with the value between R3000 &R 5000 pays an excess fee of R200 .
I was told im expected to pay 10% of the current value of the device.
7days later I emailed to ask about whats happening to the claim I was told to once again send proof of payment of the excess deposit made for the 4th time.
2 days later I get told that there is no stock of that device and I was given an option of 2 other devices in those price ranges
investigating the 2 options given to me I stabled apon finding the price of the devices were way less than I have insured for and their specification to my previous device were absolute rubbish.
I proceeded to mail back and said im not happy with the options given to me as they are not very good devices the agent mailed me back and said thats all they can do for me if I have any complaints I should contact there complaints department.

and this is utterly disgusting how my claim was handled I feel that this issue may have happened to many others before and apon my defence id like to cancel my policy with cellc csurance with finrite and cancel my contract with this service provider too iv enquired about my settlement amount of my contract and feel that a cash payout for my claim would make me happy to settle my account with cellc.

I have phoned today the 31st of May 2017 to advise you that a debit order came off my account on the 25th of May for an amount of R 490 odd rand. I had spoken to a very disgraceful human being by the name of Nicholas- if you wish to hear the call please check the call made at 5:10 on the phone number [protected] - he is rude and unprofessional and lack of competence make phoning customer care that much more irritable.
Going back to my point I had settled my account in advance for April and May and I still had a small deduction of R180 odd in April to clear the account.
After speaking to Nicholas I was advised that there is a cancelation fee on top of a cancelation fee. Please be advised that this will need to be paid back immediately before further action is taken I have all reference numbers to confirm that the account was settled and thr number was ported. Cell C would not have let the number be ported until the account was settled and I was advised of that.

I booked my phone in for repairs in January 2017 I've bee visiting crest cell c everyweekend for update to my surprise no one could answer where my phone is. I spoke to the manager thandeka who said she took it personally to cell c indurance.when contacting the insurance they advised they cannot help without an IMEI number.this number should have been provided from day one.ive been a client for years and I am very disappointed in the service received I'm going to hello Peter as well to make sure anyone else does not go through the same experience.!

cell c poor internet speed in rustenburg
Hi, I use the 200GB data deal in Rustenburg near Waterfall Mall. During peak times speed drops to 0.4mb down and 0.01mb upload. Off peak I get 5mb down and 2mb upload. I installed a 11dBi outdoor antenna with direct line of sight to the tower about 1km away. I have a B315 LTE router. I think this tower is overloaded with to many users and no LTE coverage.

My name is Hyron Martins, and I am extremely disappointed in the poor customer service I have received from Cell today.
I called the Cell C Customer Care number on 084 140 earlier today, 26 May 2017, to request a letter stating that my account is up to date and in good standing. I have always paid my account regularly and have never skipped a payment in all my years with Cell C.
I was told to contact the Cell C legal department on [protected] during office hours, because they were the only entity that can email me such a letter.
I subsequently called the Legal department and chose option "4", and was subjected to really annoying music, and eventually I had hung up after waiting for what felt like a lifetime for someone to answer my call.
Not only did I waste my airtime (this was not a free call), but also my valuable time. This is completely unacceptable!
In light of this, I would like someone from your Legal Department to contact me on [protected] or send me an email at martins.[protected]@gmail.com so that I may obtain this letter from you.
I cannot say that I have any faith that anyone would call me back, so I won't hold my breath.

legal department not answering calls
I'm trying to get a hold of Cell C's legal department to settle and allocate funds to the correct account that was settled in May of 2016. Made a payment of about 17k to cancel two contracts. One of the numbers has been settled but the other number the funds were allocated as credit to my account which is currently being used to pay for a smart data contract I currently have with Cell C. I did not authorise them to use that funds for the current account. That will be paid by me monthly. Now I'm getting harrased daily by MBD inc for payments when infact Cell C is sitting with all the money they need. They just need to allocate it to the correct account.
After the complaint was submitted. Got to email them all the details and they sorted it out the very next day.

I am highly disappointed in cell c, I bought the summit phone in February, I was told that once a month I need to recharge with R50 to receive 500 megs of data, yet since then every month I have to phone the branch performing in order for me to receive the data, when I phone the branch the keep saying they will call me back, not once have they contacted me.its it extremely poor service.

I received a call from cellc yesterday 7 months after the contract was settled in full and a cancellation sms was sent to me stating the contract was cancelled . 4 Months after receiving this sms my account was debited with R2400 from an account they had not been deduction from for the duration of the contract details were switched from that account to an fnb account a month after this contract was taken out by the way but for some reason they felt they had the right to debit my account long after accounts were changed and the contract was paid in full . I then received a call from cellc stating there is an outstanding amount a month ago and I asked them where this amount was coming from as they gave me a settlement statement and the amount was paid as per that statement . A debit order went off from my account from cellc in March and I reversed and blocked it as they are in the happing of debiting any of my accounts with amounts I do not know off with no communication when ever they feel like it . Yesterday I received a call from a very rude lady from the contracts department that was even will to hear my side of the story let along investigate on her side based on the pile of references I gave her when this account was settled she just wanted to tell me they have blacklisted me and that they handing the account over...on what grounds I asked as there was no letter no any communication sent thru to me apart from my account that keeps on being debited and every time I call to find out why I am being told to reverse the debit order as it is a mistake on their side. This morning I have been on the phone with 2 different agents and have been transferred back and forth between departments with no assistance. I held the line for the legal department for almost an hour but no one answered I am told their office hours are from 8-5 been on this call from 8:30 trying to get this matter resolved . Cellc stuff is very unprofessional and I refuse to have my credit record dragged thru the mud due to incompetent staff that act like they are doing us a favor by doing their job and cellc as a whole not doing proper investigations before blacklisting and handing people over for ITC ...I expect this matter to be resolved by the end of this month and my name cleared as I will take legal action myself should I still be wrongfully blacklisted .

40 gig promo
I recently took out a contract from Cell C for the 40 gig promo they having this month (May 2017) for R299.00.
This was a waste of my time and money, what's the point of having data you cannot use?
When i try using it on Google Play store i get an error about not being able to connect, if i use the net, it takes forever to load, and if i download something, it downloads at 50 kb/s or less...
Thank you Skhumbuzo Ndhlovu for helping with this issue, roaming on Vodacom helped a lot with the network and i am getting excellent speeds when i download.
Also thank you for understanding that for May i hardly used my contract and crediting half on May's amount.

Yesterday (16/05/2017) my sim stopped working. I took out the battery and sim card and restarted my phone, but it still did not work. I also took my friends sim card and inserted in my phone to see if the problem wasn't my phone, but it worked 100%, when I inserted my sim into his phone, it still did not work. So today I went to CELL C The Grove and the guy told me that I need to do a sim swap and pay R115.00. Why should I pay when it your faulty sim, i never take out my sim and my phone did not fall, so how could you charge me more money? I already pay R500.00 per month on my contract?
What happened to customer service?
I had my MTN sim card for 7 years and nothing like this ever happened. When my contract ends, you are definitely loosing my business.
This is pathetic. STOP chasing money and get a better customer relationship!
