I believe their website is inaccurate and/or misleading. Recently I had purchased and used Clairol Natural Instincts Creme Color and was unhappy with the results of it washing out/fading in a matter of 3-4 days from applying it. So I called the company's number and was told that the hair dye I had purchased and used does not qualify for the "satisfaction guarantee" promotion they currently have. Yet when I look at the promotion details on the site..there in the advertisement picture is the same type of dye that I'd purchased..so is the company trying to mislead and mis-advertise?..If so, I may have to report it Federal Trade Commission. Also, I called AGAIN and explained this exactly and was told I would have to have bought and kept a receipt from a box of hair color that I'd bought PRIOR to buying Clairol hair color in order to qualify for the promotion. If THAT is the case..then people who actually "qualify" for this are probably just doing it to get money and not legitimately because they were unsatisfied with Clairol's hair color.

I have been buying this product for the past year. I bought a box and just put it on my hair and it did nothing to my hair - it didn't even have the same consistency or smell to it - and I have a special event in 2 days and wanted my hair to look nice! I am very disappointed right now in Clariol. I want my money back and the website for Clariol isn't working and my special event is just ruined. I want my 10 dollars back and yes I do have the box and receipt! I don't know if the box had been in the store too long (no dates are on the box) or if something was wrong at the factory - but I am not happy at all!

I am very disappointed. When you made the perfect 10 hair color (light ash blonde) I started dying my hair. I just loved it, cause I only left it in for 10 minutes and then I was done. I used the last box I had today and don't know what I am going to get the next time I have to dye my hair. I don't like to leave dyes in my hair a long time I don't think that's good. I hope you get it back on the shelves at
wal-mart very soon.

I am also very upset.
Had to color my hair as we were going to my mother in laws tomorrow and when I went to mix it, it just would not mix what so ever.
It was to late to run out a buy another box of a different brand.
Why would they sell sometime like this?
I also had a box of color that it not cover any of my gray and I left it on for 50 minutes to.

My hair is falling out I'm losing hair everyday since I've used the product I'm speechless I'm balding and I don't know what to do its the black hair dye I've tried I'm unsatisfied and want awnsers

You are not the only one this happened to, Amy Lynn08 - I had the same experience. I now have thinned hair and have to wait until the gray underneath completely grows back in. I do not understand why Natural Instincts changed to a new formula in the first place. I used the old formula for more than 10 years and never had a problem and I loved it. Now, with the new formula creme Natural Instincts, my hair was shedding each time I used it. I used it 4 times because I thought it was a temporary shedding, but it kept happening and now my hair is thinned. They made the new formula too harsh. Using the new formula Natural Instincts was the only thing in my routine that I changed - I did not use any other hair product, not even hair spray. and my hair kept shedding. The last time I used it was July 29, 2019, and a big clump came out when I was combing it out the first time I shampooed after dying it. I am now looking for another brand. i cannot use it if it makes my hair fall out.

Also, Amy Lynne08, I used the new formula Natural Instincts 4 times, all at least 28 days apart as it says to do, and each time only according to the instructions of no more than 20 minutes on the hair. The last time, I put it on for 15 minutes since I wondered if maybe it was just too long a time period. But as you can see from my comment above, it did not help - the big clump of hair came out that last time I used it.

I also do NOT like the smell of the new formula Natural Instincts or the way it is gopped on the hair while the hair is dry. It is very unpleasant. It also left a wax feeling on my head. However, there was no burning or rash, which means I am NOT allergic to it (and the allergy test came out ok 48 hrs before also). But it is unpleasant the way it feels and smells and the way it goes on dry. The OLD formula was on damp hair after rinsing out the hair, had a good smell, and left my hair feeling good. This new formula left my hair looking like straw even though the color was nice.

When I walked in the door of my mom's house on the Labor Day weekend, she said the first thing she noticed was my hair looked like it had thinned. I am now using the Refresher Packs that Natural Instincts used to have in its OLD boxes with the OLD formula - I had never used the Refresher Packs before this and had stored them in a drawer unused - now I am using them until the missing hair grows back out. That is all I have used since July 29, 2019, when the clump of hair came out from using the new formula Natural Instincts. Of course, the Refresher Packs were made with the OLD formula and they work fine, because they are with the OLD formula. I have not had any shedding since the 28 days passed after July 29, 2019, when the new formula of Natural Instincts starting to wear off my hair - that proves it was the new formula Natural Instincts that was causing the hair shedding.
