Hi, My name is Angelo and I've had the privilege to be part of the Coles (RROA) family for a brief four months. I recently was terminated as shift manager at RROA (Erskine Park) for my performance. Which was one of the most disappointing days in my career. I have an attached an email to explain my experience with my direct manger who looked through a...

Good evening, I would like to complaint about a customer service staff. I was served by Alysha today at hoppers crossing coles. I approched Alysha for my groceries scan. I said, " hello". Today at Coles Supermarket in Waurn Ponds amongst my supermarket purchases I had selected 8 Coles Myer Gift Cards for which I wanted $25.00 credit allocated to each gift card The lady putting my purchases through then advised me she could not register all 8 of the cards in one purchase as the rules were I could only purchase a maximum of 5 cards at a time...
Read full review of Coles Supermarkets Australiastaff service was very poor and no product knowledge.
Hi,
I was given a $100 gift card for coles via Prezzee's online. I went in to your Wodonga store and spent $95 so I could use majority of the gift card. When getting to the checkout the staff could not scan the barcode that was provided on the gift card. After several attempts they told me that there was nothing they could do. I had my 4 kids with me that were now restless as well as customers behind me getting cranky as I had no other way to pay for the shopping. I said there has to be something u can do? They said no sorry! I was about to unload the shopping when I thought maybe taking a screen shot I could zoom in on the barcode, sure enough that worked! By this time I was feeling embarrassed and humiliated and wanted to leave as soon as I could. Before I had the chance to leave the staff member serving me was already laughing about it with the next customer. I left in tears !

I was served by a very rude cashier at the Westfield, West Lakes, South Australia store. The Cashiers name was Nikki and she was by far the rudest cashier I have ever encountered seeing that I have been shopping at Coles for as long as I can remember. She does an awful job representing coles and I hope that something is done to stop this rude behaviour. She...

I'm so sad that there is a staff who is working in the automatic checkout machine area, treated me in a very rude manner. Today's afternoon around 5 pm, when my checkout machine cannot work, I raised my hand to ask for a help from the staff. She walked to me but saw another person who do not need her help during the procedures. Then, she just scan her Id but the problem had not been solved. What was amazed was that she went to talk to that person who do not ask for her help without solving my problem! I asked her help again but she just gave me a contemptuous glance and did not say any word! At that time I was a little angry because she had not completed dealing with my issues and went to help a white man! I did not know if her rude manner was because I'm not white or I'm a girl! After she helped that man, she went back to me and with a contemptuous look! She said a word and I thought that was not a good word because when she said that word, an Asian man near me gave her a glance. The time I held my goods went out of the Coles, she just looked at me still with a contemptuous look. I considered she may be a racism because there was a totally different attitude between treating a white man and an Asian girl! I'm so sad and angry that I have been treated in that so rude manner! Why you so big corporation has this so rude racism!
coles online
I made an online coles order on 10th October I was home all day however the order was not delivered. When I called customer service I was told that they couldn't deliver the order (no reason was given) and that the order would be cancelled and my payment refunded within 3 to five days. I was not offered an apology, a reason or another time for the order to be delivered.
Unsurprisingly I did not not receive a refund within that time.
I contacted Coles on line 25th October as it had been 14 days since I was promised a return Of my payment when coles failed to deliver my order, I was not happy with being told it will be another 3-5days. Extremely poor service by Coles as you have had my funds now for two weeks after failing to deliver an order I paid for in good faith. Really not good enough.
I emailed again on 2nd Nov to inform Coles I had not received my refund but received no response.
I contacted PayPal who refunded by money on the 14th November. PayPal stated that though they closed the case in my favour Coles had not bothered to respond. It took over a month to get my funds back.
Disgusting customer service... Just nonexistant. I might add that I have received 2 Woolworth deliveries since 10th of October and had no problems. Obviously I will not be using Coles online again after this experience.

lack of service
Every time I go to Coles Woodgrove in Melton on a Sunday night it takes me 5 minutes to grab a few things and then 20 minutes to get out of the place because some [censored] can't open another register. Tonight there were 2 registers open an a queue of about 20 people, register ladies stressing out, absolute disgrace and as I said, not a 1 of, get your act together, your customer service stinks.
tilda rice sachet
I have been buying the Tilda flavoured rice microwave sachets from Coles Uni Hill for a at least 12 months now. They are a quick easy lunch option when you add a can of tuna. However, on a couple of occassions upon heating the rice & pouring the contents into a bowl I have discovered clumps of mould. The last 3 sachets I purchased seemed very loose in the packet (like maybe air was inside) but didn't think too much about it as it looked fine. Today I gave it to my daughter to eat & after eating half she asked what the green lump was!
concerns about safety and well-being
My review is concerning my safety and well-being at my local Coles shop in Burnside VIC
I had just finished gym and I needed to make a pit stop at my local Coles to pick up some protein groceries, I was walking through the aisles to find these items as I saw one of the staff members watching me and when I looked at him he gave me a smile, he was wearing different clothes to the other staff members so I suspect he was probably a manager of some sort, his arms were also littered with tattoos but I could not see a name badge. At first I thought he was just being friendly but every aisle I proceeded to afterwards he happened to be following me and making me feel uncomfortable, even in the quiet aisles he would walk passed and watch which aisle I would be heading to next. Eventually I picked up what I needed for my groceries and went to the self checkout, I noticed him talking to another staff member and making them look at me as well, this made me feel super uncomfortable as I quickly payed for my groceries and left.
I was wearing fitted clothing as I had just left the gym but that should be no excuse for staff members to make me feel like an object. I did not expect to be stared at in this manner.. I expect a lot more from Coles, especially managers and I'd like to feel comfortable in my own local shop. From now on I'm going to have to wear different clothing or avoid this store all together.
BEWARE GIRLS - Be advised that someone like this works in Coles Burnside
coles wholemeal & grain soft wraps
I have purchased the product " Coles wholemeal & Grain soft wraps " multiple times from a number of different locations. On every occasion I have found when opening them they are always stuck together. Not 1 but every wrap is stuck together, so it's impossible to have any kind of wrap without the filling coming out or it completely splitting altogether when rolling the wrap. I would normally not put in complaints but this has been an issue for over 6 months of purchasing the product and just " dealing" with it. I find myself going back as often as I haveis because my Son works for thee Company and has done for many years. I have attached a video showing my last purchase as I won't be buying them again.
customer discrimination
I have a disability with my balance that when I walk that it looks 👀 like I am intoxicated, but I am NOT intoxicated at all. My problem is the when I go to this Coles Norwood supermarket they treat me rudely like yesterday 22nd October 2019. They NEVER help me and are NOT interested in servicing me. Yesterday I wanted to buy something and they refused to sell me the item that was on sale, they said the sale had ended but they LIED to my face they are always treating me like I am intoxicated or mentally retarded which I am NOT.
I always have to go into Coles Rundle Place where they are so good and helpful to me Kelly. The staff at Coles Norwood need to be dismissed the insulting way the are to me. I wonder why I can't be treated like other customers? There also is an issue with this Coles Norwood store on 21st October 2017 they took 23 days to deliver my food order. I lost 10 kilos and only had s box of porridge. This is on their notes this incident. Well the Customer Service is completely lacking at this Coles Norwood store where it was pure neglect from them at the time. As well as I couldn't walk because of a dreadful injury that I suffered. Anyway moving on from this as far as I am concerned if Coles Norwood staff can't treat me any better than this they should NOT be working there. However when I went shopping with a friend the day before this incident. The staff treat me nicely because I am with someone and they can't get away with treating me wrongly. Well also in the past if I want a refund they refuse me, when I am right. I always have to go into Coles Rundle Mall where there is NO issues. My life is hard enough without this madness from them, they NEVER listen 👂 to me and treat me like I am intoxicated or mentally retarded this is how I FEEL is that I am a piece of throwable rubbish to them. I want to complaint about Coles Norwood
rosslynarmstrong15@icloud.com
I approached the Coles Norwood front counter because of my balance issues. I always have problems with this store, unless someone is with me. However on this particular day I wanted to buy something that was still on sale and still is for another 6 days. I also thought 💭 this was a reasonable request to ask for help because of my balance I struggle to walk, but as usual they didn't want to help me at all because they don't like dealing with me. Although I had been in the day before with a big purchase. The staff treated me like a second class citizen and I felt discriminated against and they have always judged me with no understanding of my condition or even trying to help me or understand my balance issues. This really upsets me all the on going issues that have happened at this store. They just snigger at me and I heard 👂 one of saying that I am troubled. But it has been much worse things they have done ✅ to me like the 23 days without my Coles food order on 21st October 2017.
My life has been so difficult when I am struggling to walk and I am presently waiting on National Disability Insurance Scheme to help me do my shopping. I can't understand when Coles Rundle Mall are so wonderful with me and other customers, what is their problem at Coles Norwood. I have felt very sad about the worthless way manner they treated me as well as endless occasions. They should appreciate the fact that I am still shopping with them after all the grief they have made me suffer with the 23 days without my food order on 21st of October 2017.
employees customer service harassment and neglect
Iam a single mum with 2 young kids under6 one who has a server skin disorder and disability. I always used to shop at Coles until recently. I concideeing speaker to a lawyer. I had a gift card brought for me and my kids to help get on our feet after leaving domestic violence and there was $500 on the Coles gift card and $250 on the other neither one was used. I just got my 4 yr old son out of hospital and in pain I was in a hurry to get him home after getting everything I needed only to have a staff worker again follow me down every isle and watching my every move ever product when I asked her why and where can I find a certain product she just smiled and walked off no name Tagg a apron on while cross contaminating items. I then went to the checkout and the manager was all of a different called to scan all my products again checked all my bags again I never stole a thing in my life and I'm so mad I was advised and suspected as a thrift then when I went to use my gift cards to pay for the shopping they were saying there wasn't anything on the cards they had never been used but we're activated and loaded with money from the domestic violence assistance through a bank. They then made the accusation I was intending to steal a trolly full of stuff and had no intention to pay for it and the worker that followed me around every where stood in front of me with a sarcastic haha look on her face. It's a absulute discrace and ilhave contacted everyone to find out what happened and I have been pushed from one line to another and jumping through hoops and money wasted on credit only to have been told sorry. I'm now struggling beyond belief and am getting no assistance or help and left with no food no roof and no way to support my disabled son . This is pathetic uncalled for and rediculus and insulting and very much harrassment neglect and no name tags or means. What do I do know
mouldy good on shelves
Hi
I purchased a packet of Old El Paso 10 mini tortillas on the 3rd of November 2019 from Coles Dandenong Plaza, Melbourne. Whilst I was looking for the location of this product on the shelf, i came across 3 other bags that was disgustingly infested with mould. Although I had given the obvious ones to the staff nearby at the time, here i thought i had purchased a good one. Got home and opened it and there it was, mould on it. So I will be returning the product in replacement for a new one.
As a consumer, I'd like to know what actions you're taking so that this happens again. It is a disgrace seeing product as such on the shelf especially that it is far from it's due date. I would have thought that for a massive company like Coles, that there would be a high demand on goods quality control before it makes it on the shelves.
Looking forward to hearing from you.
Kind Regards,
Lex Sorral
underweight packaging
Sunday the 3 Nov i purchases Coles GRAZE - Grass Fed - stir fry beef.
Receipt Number: 9321. Time: 15.56
This product advertised weight is 500gweight. 500g
The product once removed from the package was short on weight.
439g
i was shocked.
i then put the absorption protector (black plastic package) on top and correct.
Now that is a lot of meat to be missing from the package. 61g
That makes a huge differenct when creating your special dish for dinner any night but especially Sunday night when you have some time to play and create for your family.
i wish to be recompensed for the inaccuracy of quantity provided in this sealed package.
1st photo - product
2nd photo - second 250g
Third photo - second 250g plus black package
4th photo - whole package broken down into its components; Product package, first 250g on scales, second section of meat 189g beside the scales.
I await your response.

fresh produce
I recently placed order number [protected]. I don't mind getting deliveries early, but would have been nice to know. I was not home, and lucky my partner had finished work and was at my place waiting for me. 35min early, is great, just need to be made aware. Especially as your customer contact number was not contactable, as I'd been trying to call for more accurate time of delivery.
For the fresh produce delivered, all 3 avocados were badly bruised, and barely half was useable from each one. The celery was a complete waste, and thrown out with none used at all. To say I'm disappointed at the standard of your "fresh" produce, is an extreme understatement.
quality of fruit and vegetables with at home delivery
Hello Coles
I'm generally not a complainer however I would like to provide some feedback. My partner and I have started using Coles online for home delivery as we have a new born baby and getting out to do the shopping is a nightmare.
I love this service and can't fault it aside from the recent quality of your fruit a veggies.
My most recent order, delivered 31/10 I ordered a bag of lemons (5 in a pack) and two almost three of the lemons are rotten. The bunch of bananas have turned brown in 1.5 days that they'll have to used for muffins/ banana bread.
And previous order had blueberries which in one pack where starting to go furry.
I would like to be refunded for these fruit.
I will continue to use your wonderful service, but wanted to alert you to the sometimes "not so fresh" produce we have received.
As a positive we are really impressed with this service and your delivery persons have been so polite and courteous :)
Many thanks for reading my feedback.
Kind regards Anna
