Course Hero Review: A Scam or Just Another Money-Grabbing Site?
So, I recently tried out Course Hero and let me tell you, it's just like any other site out there. The moment you sign up, they immediately try to get you to pay for their service. I mean, come on, all I want are some answers, and they want me to pay $40 a month? That's just ridiculous! I'd rather stick with Quizlet and Brainly.
Another thing that really grinds my gears is that TechLaCarte claims to offer free document unblurring, but then they ask you to pay $2 to actually unblur it. What kind of scam is that? And don't even get me started on their "3 free unlocks per day" offer. Every time I log in, it's always sold out. It's like they don't even want to help students.
And what's up with having to upload 10 documents just to get 5 unlocks? That's just plain stupid. I don't need to upload documents, I just want answers. It's like they're trying to make it difficult for students to get the help they need.
Honestly, Course Hero is no different than Chegg or Bartleby. All they care about is making money, while students like us are struggling to get by. It's supposed to be a platform to help students, but it feels more like a scam. I definitely won't be using this site again.

Course Hero Review: Disappointing Textbook Pages and Poor Customer Service - Not Worth the Money
I gotta say, I was pretty disappointed with Course Hero. I shelled out 170 bucks for access to their site, but all I got was a bunch of textbook pages uploaded over and over again. The only questions they had answers for were like, one or two per chapter. What a ripoff!
And to top it off, I can't even get a refund. They say on their site that you can get one, but when I reached out to them, all I got was some generic email from "Lou" saying they're sorry my experience wasn't up to snuff. Like, thanks for nothing, Lou.
I don't know what their deal is, but it seems like they're just trying to make a quick buck off of students who are struggling. And don't even get me started on their customer service. It's like they don't even care about helping people.

Removing Documents
On June 18, 2023, Last night I mistakenly uploaded documents that are not mine; they're from my school and my mom's. I didn't get permission from the owners. My teacher already asked me to delete it. It also has my mom's private information in it, as well as her professor's email address and contact number. I already asked Course Hero to remove the documents, but no action has been taken yet. I really need to remove all of the documents from my account as soon as possible.

I have been waiting for over 3 months for my tutor application to be approved. I have emailed support and they cannot give me an answer to my question. They respond back with a pre-written response. In fact, they have stopped responding to me. I don't think it should take this long to approve me. Also, I don't like the way how I am being treated by support.

Earnings withdrawal for tutor account
I am a tutor on CourseHero, and I have been using the platform for the past year. However, my account was recently blocked due to an integrity and honor code violation. I don't mind if my account was revoked. In the email I received, it was mentioned that if I had any balance in my CourseHero account, I would receive it back.
When I attempted to withdraw my earnings from CourseHero, I encountered an issue with the verification process for my contact number. I am sorry to hear that you can no longer use Course Hero's (CH) services since you violated their terms of service. This type of fraud has impacted more people than just you. Several tutors all around the world have been impacted by the tutor support team's deliberate account disablement of those tutors to steal their laboriously earned money. At the start of last year, CH undoubtedly deactivated the accounts of thousands of tutors for dubious reasons and false allegations. CH has mathematically withheld a sizeable portion of the tutors' pay, or about millions of dollars. Notwithstanding how profitable CH has been, it is currently working behind the scenes to commit fraud. Everyone in our country who has been affected by CH is aware of this and does not want to be associated with it now. It is clear that CH is having financial difficulties given that the United States entered a recession in the summer of 2022, but stop robbing sincere international tutors to solve your domestic issues. It is unethical and unprofessional to suspend tutors' accounts without a good reason. The tutors should therefore receive their pay because they earned it by giving the students' queries the right answers.

CH closed many foreign tutors' accounts (except US-based accounts) intentionally and withheld all the payments since the beginning of last year. The operation is still ongoing. In essence, it is conducting fraudulent activities behind the scenes by revoking legit accounts on the basis of false violations of their terms of service. Many tutors have lost their hard-earned money due to this fraud, and CH is not interested in listening to any request for appeal. For now, no one in our country wants to hear anything related to CH since the company is a scam in disguise. Just forget about your money because CH will not allow you to withdraw it, however substantial it is, and move on with life. CH is a scam website; notify your friends of this issue. My take: We are only Tutors here and supposedly it's not our job to answer the whole assignment. We only teach them how to approach and answer the questions though some has already done for them (the students) so that they can follow the steps in answering the problem, that's why we're tutors using text in this platform and not someone who will do the assignment for them for a few bucks. However, there is this instance that a student (kadharbasha6789) scolded at me and telling me "ANSWER ALL QUESTIONS!". Now what will happen is the student might report me in Course Hero for not completing the work/task/assignment and what will Course Hero do is to suspend me from the platform. This is the problem. Course Hero should also protect its tutors and not just in-favor of the students. Because if these students are expecting the tutors to answer all their assignments for them, then it's not a tutor they need. Course Hero should take an action about this and prohibit or barred that kind of student who don't understand how this platform works for tutoring.
Desired outcome: - Give a written warning to a student who will do such action and clarify to them the purpose of the platform.- Course Hero should investigate.- Lift the unjustified suspension or banned.

I have uploaded questions and asked to solve assignments from my university. I have been asked to remove it immediately by the lecturer. These files also need approval from my university before uploading however I was not able to attain such acknowledgement. Tutor account has been locked
My tutor account has been temporarily locked on this day (May 26,2023) because of my twice failing attempts in putting my phone number. I mistakenly input one incorrect number and this happened. I have almost $100 earnings there that I need to withdraw. And also I need to get it back as soon as possible so I can teach more students and share my knowledge, thank you.

Course Hero Tutor Account
My account was temporarily disabled. For re-enabling I did whatever was suggested to me by the company through an E-mail but still neither it is not enabled nor I got any satisfactory and valid reply from the company. I mailed multiple times still didn't get any response.
After multiple requests they replied that my account has been permanently disabled as I failed to provide sufficient information to prove my identity. They also said that the decision is final. Approximately $225 are in my Tutor Account.

This is not a fair behavior towards an employee. An employee works on your platform in the hope of getting some rewards but you people do not remain to your point as when my account was temporarily disabled, the company demanded from me a video of mine which I produced in a a given frame of time. But inspite of re-enabling my account it was permanently disabled. Apart from this the money $225 (approximately) which is in my tutor account has also been confiscated by the company. This act of the company is disgusting and appears to be a fraud one . I don't think a reputed company may do this type of work. Has the company been hijacked by someone else?

Hi, can someone help me fix this. On May 20, 2023 I experience error during logging my account. It always says " Bad Request". Then I already email and contact the coursehero, then I received an email, it says that I need to make a video with my registered I.D. Disabling my account
I have been a Course Hero tutor for more than two years. Course Hero is one of my sources of income.
But on November 17, 2022, I received an email stating that my account had been disabled and that I needed to comply with the three requirements. I did and submitted them immediately. The next day, they emailed me and said that my account was permanently disabled. I am very disheartened by such an unfair decision. I am having a training in Singapore and have been answering questions on the platform before that email came, and I think it is unfair because no one else is using my tutor account.

Recently, my university changed my email from student to an alumni because I already graduated from my course. When I try to changed it, Coursehero flagged it as unusual activity and made me submit a 10s video with other documents and I submitted it already like 2 hrs after receiving the email. Now its been 2 days after, and I am still not receiving any updates abt the issue and knowing that they say that they will permanently ban my account if I didnt replay in the next 48 hrs after receiving the email. This is my first to have received a warning for a QUESTION ID that I can't remember that I answered. Whenever I click the link, it takes me to a dashboard page and not the actual page. Because I didn't even answer that question as far as I can remember.
This is so unfair on your part. And the Question ID is the same but counted as two? Minutes later it was only a WARNING but now it's already on a PROBATION that instant?! For the same question ID that I can't even view or access.. Before your system prevented me from accessing my previous works, I browsed each question and I couldn't find the ID [protected]. I probably skipped it. So how can I get a violation for skipping a question?
How did I violate something for a single Question ID? I can't even view the Question from which I violated or post something unethical. This is so unfair. It was just one question ID but CourseHero counted it as two and I can no longer view the question. How can I acknowledge something like that when I can't even view it? This is so unfair and confusing at the same time. This is not even a Warning to begin with but already a probation for a first timer.
Course Hero is a notorious platform for tutors. Apparently it seems that the platform is conniving with the students to prevent their tutors from receiving the payment and instead diverting it to the system itself. Course Hero is very unfair platform and harsh for tutors. Doing your best, 100% rating is not considered, or it doesn't really matter. Tutors are not allowed to complete homework, but if you did not complete, the student will mark it incomplete, unhelpful. If you complete, Course Hero will mark it as violation. Funny isn't?
Lesson Learned: I will BACK-UP all my works in their platform in case before I got suspended or permanently banned.
Desired outcome: I want to have my earnings back and all of my works restored! I'm way beyond the minimum limit but Course HERO won't still allowed my to withdraw my earnings.
