Diabetic test strips and various other prescriptions
This is not a complaint but notification about why we are leaving CVS store #3508 in Martinsville, VA. My wife and I have married for 56 years and have done our business almost entirely with CVS (Revco) for medications but for the past year or so there has been numerous problems which continues to escalate which has become a nuisance. If we call to complain they tend to get defensive and say it is out of their hands and not responsible. A few examples are they will contact us and say we have something to pick up and when we get there we have nothing ready, or it was sent to another store which we have no connection or out of stock. More than once I have had to make several trips to pick up prescriptions which were not ready or out of stock which is costly to us. Once they gave me the incorrect test strips which are pretty expensive that are in a bag and I did not catch until I got home and tried to return for the correct ones and was told I could not return them since I had taken them out of the store. I had to buy enough from Ebay to get by since the insurance would allow me more. We recently went on vacation and forgot our insulin and called back to get ok to get at local CVS which worked fine until wife needed to get refill at our local store and was informed they had transferred her prescription to the vacation store. Today (12/5) she called about one and was told it was delivered on 12/3 which she has not received. She got 4 that day but not that one. Also she got wrong syringes for insulin shots at another time which she did not find until arriving home to which she was told basically she could not exchange since she had left the store. As I hope you can see the problem and understand why we will be looking elsewhere not for just wanting to but out of necessity. These are not all of the problems, but I think it is more than enough to see they are more than we should have to put up with to continue spending our money at a store who seems to not be concerned. One more thing she got an appointment to get the covid vaccine and when she arrived had to wait for over an hour because they forgot to get it out of the freezer for it to thaw! Some more customer care.
Covid booster
I received multiple confirmations of my flu shot and COVID booster schedule for tonight, 12/3 at 9:00 PM. I drove 30 minutes to get there and arrived a half hour early. I received text after I got there that my appointment had been canceled. When I went in to ask, I was told no by the pharmacist because they had done vaccine from 10 until 7:30 and there weren't enough pharmacists available. When I asked them to reconsider, they told me that all the shots were in the refrigerator and couldn't be given until they are room temperature. When I spoke to one of the managers, he told me that they NEVER give vaccines after 7:30 and that they have no control over the on-line scheduling system. I have a very urgent need to get both shots and searched extensively to find a time that would work. Now I am having to go out of town on a required trip this weekend without either shot and a massive inconvenience. Also, because appointments are not easily found and take about a week to schedule, this will now put me behind another week to get them. I have had this appointment since 11/28. Additionally, the form on-line takes a lot of time to fill out and it has to be filled out from scratch to reschedule.
This is horrible service and I feel that it has put me at risk.

Covid shots and bs
You people sent a pronouncement over my telephone last week saying that I needed to get a booster shot. When I called the number from the pronouncement, the man told me December first at 11am. I was there a bit early, and the dick hiding behind the screen said, "if he's not on the schedule, [censored] him" You folks are seriously screwed up, and sexist [censored] like that will destroy your business. I will never see your store in my lifetime, and I swear I will do my best to destroy your business in the future.
Desired outcome: Find the [censored] and fire him
CVS pharmacy #2764
This location has really changed once they brought new pharmacist in, I have proof that every time I try & get anything filled, they i believe purposely leave certain scripts in process mode, not only do they not fill my prescriptions, which I've purposely called numerous times with no answer EVER) there is a female pharmacist that absolutely won't speak on...

I reloaded a debit card on 11/30/2021 at 8:40 pm at the CVS store in Pell City Alabama as of 12/01/2021 my money has not loaded as it never takes but 15 to 30 minutes for the card to load. I was told it could take up to 48 for my money to be on my card. When I checked with my company they show nothing even pending for the card. When I went to speak with...

My wife was denied a prescription for test strips for a blood test device. They told her they were $150. That is [censored]. We have had problems with this location before. Taunton store; have 2 people working in the pharmacy, so with respect to the amount of work that can be done by 2 people they don't answer the phones, I was on hold for an hour and a half when I finally gave up and hung up the phone. On 11/30 I visited Store #2665 for a Minute Clinic Visit. The NP suggested that I get a Decongestant product from the pharmacy as one of my treatments. I walked immediately over to the pharmacy to get this product to an already rude and agitated cashier (Michelle) that clearly did not want to serve me for some reason. She went to retrieve the product and...

I signed up for the care pass card because it seemed to be a great way to save money & seemed to have great deals. I never received my card yet money was being pulled out of my account. I tried to access the features with my email, phone number at the store & the cashier told me they didn't have my information & to wait for my card. I tried to cancel my membership & request a refund because I never was able to access the promised features. I had one representative raise his voice at me, another that had no clue what was going on & finally I had a great rep named Denise that tried to help. We got disconnected & wasn't able to pursue this again until days afterwards. I was told by Mike -another rep that I had been cancelled & no refund was to be given & to take it up with my bank. I am so incredibly dissapointed with CVS. I tried to email them & reps keep telling me to call their 1-800 line. I won't do business with such a shady business again after this. I can only imagine how much money they are making by pulling out of accounts & not giving the customers what they promised.
Desired outcome: refund of all that CVS pulled out of my bank account
Shingrix vaccine incompetence
I took my husband to obtain his 2nd Shingrix dose today 11/28/21 at 4:30pm. His first dose was on 8/15/21. We were told on 8/15/21 that he needed to obtain his 2nd dose between 2 and 6 months. We returned today to obtain his 2nd dose and were told Shingrix was a 1 dose vaccine and he was not due for his 2nd dose for 6-months. They refused to give my husband his 2nd dose. CDC and Glaxosmithkline indicate this is a 2-dose vaccine with the 2nd dose being between 2 and 6-months. The Nurse and the 12-year old tech were incompetent and the pharmacist was not available. They had no basic knowledge about Shingrix and insisted it was not a 2-dose vaccine despite all the literature. They actually asked each other what the vaccine was.
Desired outcome: They need to have a basic understanding of Shingrix
Covid test
I made an appointment to get a covid test because I was not feeling well and received a confirmation To get tested at the cvs on 14701 pulaski road, midlothian, illinois. On 11/22 I picked up one of 2 prescriptions. The other was out of stock and had to be ordered. On 11/23 I checked and it was ready for pickup. I was late getting home and pharmacy was closed. On 11/24 I worked late again. I called the pharmacy and was told I had until Dec 3 to pick it up so no issues. CVS was closed Thanksgiving 11/25 so I went to pick my script up on Friday 11/26. I was told by
CVS pharmacy they couldn't fill my prescription that was already filled and I needed a new script written.
Desired outcome: CVS Pharmacy Tech should be able to explain why without a simple “Well, I don’t know and too bad.”
Accusations of Theft
On Wednesday at November 24 ( day before Thanksgiving), my husband who is a senior disabled black male purchased several items from our neighbor CVS located at at approximately 7 pm, when the store manager who is also a woman of color called the Nassau County Police accusing him of stealing from the store. Once the police questioned my husband and he was able to produce the receipt of the items purchased she still insisted that he had items that he didn't pay for in his possession. Needless to say, her she was unprofessional and tried to incite an occurrence that could have lead to serious consequences. We are educated professionals and homeowners in the Elmont community that have been actively involved in the improvement of our community. The audacity of this poorly trained manager at CVS is unacceptable and will not be tolerated.
Desired outcome: Training of staff and termination of manager
I agree.
Question
CVS Complaint Nov 5, 2021 I am very disappointed with your store (CVS) today. I went there to pickup a Rx and get some other supplies as I do often. Today, there was no where to park. November 24, 2021. Store # 16542. Address : 55 US Highway 9, Manalapan, NJ. Pharmacist was very hostile and ill-mannered. He was talking down at me like I am a [censored] that do not understand English. It looks like he is from India and his tone was he do not want to answer my questions. I was inquiring about the deductible and co-pay and his answered in a hostile voice, "I do not know!". There are no customer waiting on line. So I left and told him to go back to India and get some manners. He physically followed me and came close enough and said, "What did you say?!" I just left to prevent anymore altercation. I am the customer and he should have offered more courtesy towards me but he did not!
My husband and I are regular customers at this pharmacy and he is the only one that treated us so badly every time we pick up our medications. Today, his hostility can no longer be tolerated by me.
We are transferring our prescriptions to a different pharmacy.

RX No. 1267921 METHENAMINE HIPP 1 GM Qty: 60 COST - $46.614
RX No. 1307531 METHENAMINE HIPP I GM Qty: 90 COST - $132.33*
When I questioned the extreme price change, I was told the previous order used my Good RX discount card. The second order was filed differently causing the huge price change.
I have purchased this prescription from CVS for more than 2 years and always used my Good RX discount card.
The pharmacy submitted the second prescription noted above differently than all other orders. The CVS store (No. 7665). I was told it was too late to change and provide a refund for THEIR ERROR!
As a long standing loyal CVS customer, I am extremely disappointed the store could not resolve this error. You can see from my CVS account no. [protected], I do a lot of business with CVS for personal items beyond pharmacy purchases.
Good RX card should have been used. Member ID HJ709722. Current cost for RX 1307531 is $45.98. This is a difference of 98.35
Secondly, I was not informed by CVS Pharmacy that they contacted my physician for a renewal on my prescription. The renewed prescription was changed by my doctor. Previously, I was prescribed to take 2/day. The new order was changed to 1/day. This change should have been brought to my attention. I see this a a violation of my privacy and ability to accept or reject the physician's change.
Desired outcome: Refund due $86.35 which is the Corrected cost for the RX 1307531 using my Good RX discount card with appropriate refund.
No telephone response / auto refills without authorization
I have been a customer of the particular location for more than 11 years. Since the newest pharmacist has come on board, it has gone terribly downhill overnight. Every review is the same… no one picks up the phone ever! Not even a different CVS to this one. They are now refilling all my RX's without my authorization. I am not on auto refill and never was. I am on Hizentra, Subcutaneous Immunoglobulin therapy medication. I rely on the manufacturer's copay assistance program to afford this very expensive drug. I often have to wait months for reinstatement to this program and do without it for several months until I am eligible to reapply. When I finally do get that reinstatement, CVS Specialty just can not figure out how it works even after repeated calls from CLS Bering to verify my eligibility and the process. This typically causes a delay in my treatment plan which could equate to a hospital admission. It can take hours or days to unravel this mess and I go through this stressful and frustrating process every time I try and reorder my medication. It's exhausting and doesn't have to be this hard. Big time review and education on pharmaceutical company copay assistance programs needs to happen. This is an unnecessary waste of time and energy and causes avoidable delays.
