food mistakes
Good services but the food is lacking. Very small portions for a large price and forgetting items. We ordered the turkey dinner last night and got no cranberry side or choice of bread. They just gave us garlic bread. Mash potatoes were a little on the cold side. We love eating there every other week but lately, it has been one mistake after another or very little of anything on the plates.
take out order
On October 5, 20018 I placed a phone order per the attached receipt. While placing my order the person taking my order was very rude and did not know what was available on the menu. I inquired about what type of cheese I could select from for my burger, she said they only had American and cheddar cheese. Upon further inquiry I asked her if she could ask someone else, she placed me on hold for 5 minuets and came back on the phone reading a menu. When I inquired about which type of fries I could choose from, she informed me that there was only one kind (plain). I struck me as kind of odd because I frequent dennys quit often. She then told me my order would be ready in 15-20 min.
So I get to the restaurant and based on her voice I believe the same young lady asked my name, printed out my ticket and told me to have a seat my order would be ready soon. So I wait and now its more than the 20 min I was told over the phone. Another lady walks from outside with a Denny's take out bag in her hand and she hands the bag to the same young lady that printed my receipt. I overheard the lady that came in with the bag questioning why she had called her on the phone and asked her to bring the order back, that she was given the wrong order. The dennys worker takes the bag from the woman that came back to the restaurant and hands it over to me stating "Here is your order". I immediately told her I refuse to accept an order that has left the restaurant and placed in someone else's hands, and asked if she knew that what she had just done was against the law, and that she needed to make me a fresh burger. The dennys worker told me that she would not be making me another burger and the rest of my order would be ready soon (by this time Its well into 40 minutes since I placed my original order at 6:55 pm (see attached phone log). I asked to speak to the Manager
The manager then spoke with me very briefly and all she said was that she would take care of my order. In the meantime the lady who walked out with my burger also asked to speak with the manager because she said she was an Uber eats driver and her client was waiting for her food. She explained to me that when she came in to pick up the burger order for her client, the same young lady that took my order, picked up a bag right in front of her and took out the chicken strips and some other items and handed her the burger that was left in the bag. I am suspecting that the bag that she took the food out of was my original order. Mean while the Uber eats driver and I are waiting for our orders and began to witness this same dennys worker begin to harass an older lady and proceeded to tell the older lady that she refused to take her order. The older lady also asked for the manager and the manager told her that she would take her order with no explanation as to why this young lady who was working at dennys could not get her [censored] together.
So I finally get my order at 7:44 pm (see attached receipt). Head head home to take my parents their dinner. I get home and the Milshakes had melted down..whoever packed the bag put the ice cream for the apple crisp in the bottom of the bag, needless to say, it was also melted.
I have frequented this particular location over 23 years. I'm not certain that I can support this establishment anymore based on what I witnessed last night and I will also inform friends and family to stay away from the dennys on Mowry Avenue in Fremont ca.
The food was like warm and my parents did not enjoy their meal, shakes, or dessert. It's a shame especially because my parents are in their 80's. It took over an hour to receive such a simple order. That is shameful

management...Rude and obnoxious to fellow employees and often customers, particularly the elderly. This makes for a very unpleasant experience and difficulty finishing and digesting a meal.
Criticizing and demeaning fellow employees has no place in the public eye especially when you are striving for "repeat business".
No one in management position should feel that many years of service makes them so irreplaceable that they have the right to belittle fellow employees.
Message to dennys corporation:
sometimes even managers need a "time out" aka probationary period to remind them that no matter how long they been employed, and no matter how comfortable they have become in their position...This still does not give them the right to make fellow employees in a lower position and customers especially feel so uneasy . Maybe they need to be reminded that these same customers provide the revenue that pays their salaries.
"i" should not have left this store feeling so embarrassed for the employees that were doing their job, and providing good customer service.

My wife and myself visited dennys on idrive and after we ordered our meals we realised that the air conditioning was off. We drank our coffee and started to heat up. The place was so hot. People were using the menus to try and cool themselves down. We waited roughly 10 minutes for our meals but in that time we had really started to heat up. The floor surfaces were wet and slippy. People had to be escorted to the restroom it was that treacherous. The food arrived but by now I was so uncomfortable and unhappy with the conditions I just wanted to leave. I did not touch my meal it was so hot. I didn't wait for my bill I just wanted to get out. At the till I had to wait for the waitress to pass the bill over I just paid the $35 and left. I was very angry with the restaurant I was very angry I was not informed the air conditioning was broken as I entered the restaurant. I feel this was bad service and the management should have done more, if not to fix the problem then to let everyone who entered be given the choice to stay or not
lack of attention
We came to the restaurant where we usually dine every day, but today we had a bad experience: after sitting by the host, we waited for 15 minutes or more. While waiting, two waiters in the area looked at us and ignored us. Also one of the managers looked toward our table, we thought that finally, we would be assisted but was not the case. We have to request a waitress from the adjacent area to help us.
Later on, a kid spilled sugar on the playground which got sticky, our baby was winning because we will not let her play and that dirty place, we reported it to the front desk, and after a while, we saw one of the managers looking toward our table while (I assume) the hostess explained him about our request. We kept waiting for the help, but after seeing no action, I sent one of my kids to ask for a cleaning cloth, the manager seemed to dislike our request and stated he would send somebody to do so. That person never arrived, in the meantime, the manager took his time to have a waiter serving him his dinner, and we ended up cleaning the area our self with table napkins.

Stopped for breakfast on the way to Monticello Aug 8, 2018 and on the way home Aug 10, 2018. We are seniors and breakfast is reasonable.
NEVER EVER AGAIN! The place is so dirty! The windows have never been cleaned, The floors and the bathroom disgraceful. We sat opposite the kitchen door, it also has never been cleaned.
Coffee came with lipstick on the cup and drippings of coffee on cup from someone drinking from it. You have to be kidding me...THIS PLACE SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN! This restaurant should have zero stars Next time Perkins.

It's to my knowledge the Kevin is back working at dennys he went from turnersville to Borden town and get is the best server i have ever met in my life everytime he served me was great and he never forgot my name i was a regular of his his whole time in turnersville and id definitely travel to this dennys anytime for service like Kevin gives he never got smart and always apologizes for any mess ups but no one is perfect. I was hoping to have a simple breakfast and entered this dirty store. I was a little shocked. The complete menu was expensive and most of the dishes were out, and those that were on the menu were huge. If you wanted to eat there, you had to order a huge breakfast and split it into a half and do with this whatever you wanted. But it was more expensive. Strange and terrible.

I was a witness of a very heated argument between customers and the store manager. I think yelling at people so everyone could see and heard is at least unprofessional. The customers were right because they had to wait for their food for about 40 minutes and when they got it everything was cold. As far as I understood they wanted a refund, but the manager refused. dirty cup
A waitress brought me a dirty cup with a pink lipstick. I called her and showed this cup. She said, "but this lipstick is yours". I asked her to carefully look at me and understand that I wasn't wearing any lipstick. I said that I would like to get my tea in a clean cup for free because it wasn't my fault. But I had to pay for this.
Now I'm sitting and thinking that I should have called their manager and asked for a free cup of tea...
do not think we will be back to this denny's
Denny's in 150 Nassau St New York, it takes forever for an order to be taken. I waited for 50 minutes. And when they finally brought it the food was cold. Thank god they agreed to replace the order. But look into the matter from your customers' perspective. We had to wait for a long time, even though the store wasn't overcrowded. and how your employees could think that it was ok to serve people with a cold food? It's inappropriate.

I've been working for Denys going on 4 weeks now n yet to get paid. They issue my money network card 5 days ago an it went let me activate my card I've tried call costumer service ever other hr for the last 4 days n only thing it says is call back in 24hrs. long wait, ice filled drinks and used children's menu.
Myself my wife, and my nine year old daughter went to Denny's.There it took a while to get seated.This was understandable because it was crowded. Our fault for going during dinner time. However though that is acceptable what happened next is not. My wife and I were given adult menu's and my child was given a child menu filled with coloring and other activities.Apparently the menu was left over from before because it had crayon marks all over it. Needless to say there were still activities left for her to do. However I thought that it was my daughter that made the scribbles. I told her that she is nine years old and too old to be scribbling and she was acting like a dummy. She said that the marks were already on the menu. I told her to stop lying. and slapped her across the face. She said she was not lying. I slapped her again. My wife told me to stop because there were scribble marks on the menu. My child ordered the chicken nuggets and golden crackers. I asked that she be served first because she was real hungry and I wanted her to digest her food before bedtime.
It took them a long time to get her food. She had finished all the activities of her book and was bored and getting impatient so I let her play on my i phone. Then our dinner came. The waitress did not ask if my daughter wanted dessert until after we finished our food, even though I explained to her that I wanted my daughter fed first. To top it off it took her five minutes to refill my daughter's coke. Talk about bad service. The worst part is for the build your own sundae my daughter wanted all three toppings and she could only get one. Cheap, they cannot even spare a tea spoonful of all three toppings.
My wife and I who wanted the same topping(chocolate) had to order something we did not want so we could share it with our daughter and she could have all three toppings. This meaning she has to digest more food than we intended to feed her and making us not enjoy the whole ice cream to ourselves.
This whole incident caused a lot of stress. My wife and daughter were still angry at me and neither spoke to me. I noticed that someone was following us out of the restaurant. They looked at us and wrote something down. I asked them what they were writing down. They told me that slapping my daughter was unacceptable and they were going to report me to the police. My daughter was crying during the whole ride home. My wife gave me the silent treatment because I slapped my daughter. I told her how was I to know they would give my daughter an used menu. Even though I apologized my wife was still angry and my daughter was still crying.
Just thought we should let you know about all of this.
Oh and the police came an talked to my daughter, they are going to press charged and my daughter could end up in a foster home thanks to them.
dirty restaurant, nasty, cold food
This particular restaurant needs to be inspected and the manager needs to probably be replaced. Many customers have complained
to him regarding bad food, dirty bathrooms with no toilet paper hand towels garbage pails and nothing is done. If the windows have cobb webs, bathrooms are dirty, how are the kitchen and do the employees wash their hands? I will be notifying the people who visit

Went to above restuarant for breakfast on Thursday, July 30, 2014, at around 8:00 am. After waitress brought our drinks and took our order, When she brought our food, my husband asked if she could please turn the ceiling fan straight above us down just abit. She did say she would ask...what? She came back later and said she could not turn it down without asking her manager...sorry. So I guess that meant she wasn't asking her manager. When she returned to pick up plates she did notice all of my hash browns were still on my plate. She asked if my food was all right and I told her...yes it was good UNTIL it got cold. We were absolutely freezing and ate so quickly so we could leave. I not only will not go back to that particular restuarant...I will not go to any Denny's again. There are too many restuarants that care about their customers comfort.

The commercial says 2 for 1 Tuesdays. We went into the Toledo, Ohio Denny's two days ago (Tuesday) and when we were seated we asked the waitress if they still had the 2 for 1 Tuesday menu.; She said yes and then we ordered. Bill came and it was regular charge. We asked about 2 for 1 Tuesday and she said that we didn't order the right menu items (what we ordered) wasn't covered. We told her that we wanted 2 for 1 and she said yes and we ordered. She said, menu says some items aren't covered. So we said then why did you say yes and not tell us that our order wasn't covered? We called manager and I was surprised he insted we paid. We argued but they said to call police if we don't pay. Nevver going to Dennys again. big scam, big ripoff

If you are talking about the Breakfast Sausage then... I know several people that have worked at Denny's and the Breakfast sausage is fully cooked when it arrives... All they do is heat it up.

unfair treatment
The company dennys I work for has bad management. Only one out of three managers is willing to help his employees and bend over backwards for them. The General Manger completely disrespects her employees unless they are her daughters or go out drinking with them and dose not allow others for requests off or switch shifts with others when they need it. The other manager ( who is only there because his cousin is part owner), has no common sense and flirts with all the other girls especially a 17 yr old. There is a 17yr old the same one who flirts with the manager always tries to pick fights with fellow employees in front of customers she threatens to beat others up and pull out their hair, and harasses one of her fellow employees constantly. She was written up one day and sent home for being so rude using foul and disrespectful in front of customers that a customer heard her came up to her and the manager and complained. She was sent home and the general manager made the other manger apologize to the employee for sending her home even though he had every right. Bottom line there is a lot of harassment and unfair treatment here and it needs to be solved ASAP by human resources other then the owners

remodelling didn't fix bad food/service
Denny's on Va. Beach Blvd was just remodeled, but it hasn't changed the way is operated before the face-lift. The place is always super cold and the staff says they cannot change the thermostat. Employee Josefa Stevens has been harassing me from her work and different locations.
we were married briefly when she decided to abandon me and my children that I have visitations with on the weekends.
Her threats went as far as saying that if I do not pay for the divorce that she would damage my relationship with my babies and the courts.
I informed her that she decided to jump ship that she should get the divorce.
Her threats came to light when she went to my children's mom and made a false police report about myself which has ended up in my inabilityn to see my children.
this is a very poor excuse for a human being, if you hire and condone such individuals, I feel that you nhave justification in your loss of market share in your industry. I have informed all who I know to stop spending their hard-earned money in a place that harbors such human trash. May you have the insight and intelligence to screen this employee and tell her that she has completely destroyed a family in the name of her own gain.
She refused to help support the household, clean house or cook... then she left and decided it was not enough, having to hurt me and my kids by making up her stories due to her not having me pay for her divorce as well.
Due to her texts received from her while she was at work... and I do have those threatening texts to show you and the courts.
Please take care of this situation... she is living rubbish that should have no access to the public
