DHL Philippines a nightmare to do business with - I am very frustrated with DHL service in Manila. My shipment was dropped off at the DHL office in Hong Kong on Oct 31 afternoon and as of the time of this writing Nov 3rd 4pm I still have not got my shipment.
I have called DHL service hotline in Manila on Nov 2nd 4pm and asked why my shipment is scheduled for delivery for 24 hours but no delivery attempt has made. I got apologies and the promise to have a priority delivery on Nov 3rd morning time.
Today Nov 3rd at 3:50pm I called again the DHL hotline and asked about the status of my delivery and was told the official delivery time for DHL in Manila is between 9am and 5pm so what do I want … - thanks for the priority classification.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
Have been trying to have a shipment that is free of customs and duties delivered but have encountered the a series of incompetence from the DHL service staff. I must admit I had the item wrongly address but took measures to correct that. After 17 days it has become easier to pay the customs and duties rather than go through a series of letters and paperwork to have the parcel delivered. I had a similar problem with nother shipping company and they resolved the problem without fuss, numerous telephone calls, emails and faxes. Just try and call the office and you get nothing but fob offs, hang ups or left for 20 minutes waiting for your call to be answered all the while being told how great, efficent and easy it is to have your deliveries made through DHL. Never again. My advice is to anyone wanting to use DHL think again and use either FedEx or TNT. F**k DHL
I am going threw the same thing I have documented everything, they lie on tracking saying it is some where but still dhows in manila, then they call and have a excuse, like where is the package suppose to go, idiots, they tried even to charge me storage, even though I have emailed them everyday finding out when will I receive., I don't know if you are Philippine, but I know if you have a foriener name they will try to screw you, thinking you won't be in country to long, government dose not care, why people visit here is unclear but most never return, to bad prety country managed by misfits
DHL Philippines will find a reason not to deliver your package, use the customer to blame, abandon your package to customs so they can seize and steal it. Come on, DHL Philippines, it’s been happening for years and we the customers see it. We’re not stupid and you are being reported to authorities and sued already. You’ve robbed customers of countless hours and money. How shameful. You will be shut down eventually since your current review rating is one star worldwide, and no matter how much you change it to five, people are reading the reviews.
I will never ever use DHL again! Its been almost 3 weeks when the package hold in customs. Everyday I ask their customer service what should I do. They ask and ask about the requirements which I provide and still hold in customs. After a few weeks they ask me to pay for duties and taxes which almost 4000 pesos. Like wtf after all the waiting and update the requirements they needed they charged me a large amount. Fyi the package is just an old laptop. Only one item hold in custom and charge me a large amount. Customer service is no help at all!

I have 3 shipments from UK to Manila
(Shipping from UK May, and now July 2023)
all my used items they report as new. and must be taxed (even though all the goods in it are used goods)
3 delivery they reported the wrong taxes. they report the total price from 3 shipments to 1 shipment (they asked me to pay 3x tax per shipment)
and they do not admit their mistakes. 1 of my 3 shipments was held up and my shipment was returned to the UK
1 of 3 shipping taxes cannot be revised, the reason has been processed from being sent to the HDL warehouse
and asked me to force them to pay, even though I kept saying that I had reported the wrong tax. until my goods are detained and returned to the UK
The other 2 submissions they tried to revise but asked for a lot of new data (and an affidavit reported by the wrong customer)
one of my shipments asked for high taxes, the total price of the goods in 1 shipment was only 34,215 pesos (this is my personal item, game equipment that I use more than 2 years) but they asked for taxes up to 4,523 pesos for my second hand goods
and finally 1. currently revising taxes. took up to 2 months and still not finished. today is June 30th
I don't know what i should to do anymore, is it all too difficult to ship used goods in the Philippines?

Hi. I am from Calgary, Alberta, Canada. My items was dropped off in Calgary, Alberta going in Cebu, Philippines last November 14, 2023. Everything was declared. I even itemized it. And it says November 20, 2023 will be deliver but when we track it, it says November 22, 2023. We waited for November 22, 2023 and I even asked my sister in law to call them and have to follow up and thats the only time we knew that there is mistake to be corrected on my part and they said they already send an email ton DHL Canada and the form that I need to fill up (again). I went to the store to fill up that form (again) and the guy send that form to them. I even send the form that I fill up to my sister in law and now they send a different form again to my sister in law that I need to fill up again. Until now, November 24, 2023, 12:27 am (Canada time), my sister in law still dealing with them. I will never deal with you DHL. The items that I send is for my niece and she"s waiting for that. Come on DHL, Cebu. Do your job.
