Dollar General manager

The manager of the Richland GA dollar general is very RUDE! She ignores people in line and refuses to open a register to help when it's so busy with a line wrapped around the store. I've heard her yelling at her employees many times even when they are not working. I also know someone who works there and she changes the schedules EVERYDAY to try to get them written up and fired because she just doesn't like them. Y'all need a manager who people actually enjoy being around and isn't a horrible customer service manager

Dollar General I bought nestle ice cream cones 4 boxes and every single cone was melted.

I went to Dollar General in Bogalusa, Louisiana on 9-13-17 bought 4 boxes of ice cream cones and every one was completely melted. I should have known better then to buy because I went last week and freezer was out. I assumed that they would not sell but I was wrong. Please be careful buying food out the freezer section. Very disappointed. No more food at dollar general for me and my family.

Dollar General customer service

I am a coupon user and frequent several stores in my local vicinity, it was brought to my attention that a particular store (03152) has been complaining to other customers about me. The Manager and Asst Mgr were talking to a fellow customer and said they do not like when I (referred to me by my first name) shop in their store and use coupons because I buy to use to many coupons at one time. I have always been respectful to the employees and other customers in line, I will move aside and let others go before me if I know it's going to take a bit. This type of behavior from a store manager and assistant manager is very unprofessional. Dollar General needs to educate their employees on Customer Service!

Dollar General coupons not working

This happened to me on 9/13/2017
I just wanted to vent about my beginners experience at DG with couponing. I have two DG near me so I went to the first DG ( store# 09865) and spent about 30 minutes trying to decide what Gain products to get. I was makings sure I was doing the coupon requirements correctly. I'm writing down what the deductions should be and what to expect out of pocket at check out. Since I'm new to couponing I was so nervous and scared already that it wasn't going to come out like I expected, and I was right.

The cashier( black guy, heard him say he was a Sargent in the service to a customer)rang up my 6 items and had me enter my phone number for the digital coupons. It didn't work! It wasn't responding to the phone # entry. He voided out the transaction and re-rung everything 3 times with me entering my phone number each time, but it's wasn't responding so I could apply the digital coupons.
So another worker calls corporate while I stood off to the side and waited so they could help other customers, this took about 15 minutes. Everyone was clueless as to why it wasn't acknowledging my number, even the person on the phone wasn't having any luck figuring it out. They finally had me go over to the other register they had, it worked, so I left. I was in there close to 45 minutes doing what should have been a simple transaction.

I then drove over to the other DG (on McCord Rd in Holland, OH) to do paper (manufacturers) coupons for some Gain products. When I enter the store there are NO carts at all, all of the carts are full of stock and boxes sitting in the isles. I had to go down an aisle to get a crate off the shelf to put my stuff in. I spent about 20 minutes getting my things and being nervous as hell something else was going to happen. I get up to the register with 3 Gain F.S. and 3 Gain detergents. The cashier ( a woman with bad teeth, some missing) says I can't do all that, I can only do 2 coupons on each product, so I put one of each to the side and continue with my four items. She goes to scan the manufacturers coupons and they don't scan! She says I have the wrong size bottle of fabric softener for that coupon. She says the OZ on the coupon are not the same on the jug I'm buying. I pointed out to her the coupon is by loads (48oz) not OZ so the coupon WAS correct for that product. She kept saying it wasn't right but it absolutely was correct! Then she says, "Well it won't scan anyway, so there's nothing I can do." I had to leave the store empty handed and upset. This shouldn't have happened.

So I drive back to the first store (09865) thinking it will be alright this time since I'm going to use the paper coupons I wasn't able to use at store number two on McCord Rd. I go in the back, get my Gain products. The whole time I'm in this store I'm upset with what's happened so far and nervous I'm going to have another incident. And then there is another problem. He gives me the total but it's too high, and I ask him why, he says only two out of the six coupons I gave him will scan and there's nothing he can do about it! ...What not again!

I only brought with me a few dollars in my pocket because I knew how much I was going to need at check out. I'm short with money now because of the coupons not scanning, so I tell him I'll have to take something off. A complete stranger behind me overhears me saying this and offers to give me what I'm short. I thanked him several times, all the while feeling like a complete fool over this.

After going through all that, I just felt like crying. On top of all the commotion I didn't realized until now that I paid full price for most of my things when those coupons didn't scan. I'm mad at myself for not leaving when they didn't scan. I'm now afraid to go back there without knowing if any coupons are going to work or not. I just had to let someone know how I just spent two hours trying to buy some laundry products in two of your stores.

Dollar General the service I received

They refused to take my coupons even though they match the description.. they said I can't come in here a clear the shelf when I only had 10 items.. the said dollar general changed the rules and can longer take a lot of coupons.. when I asked for proof.. they got upset and said we are tired of couponers coming in here taking everything.. I told them to void my transaction. And I asked for there names Sharon and Shay. I will no longer shop there

Dollar General unethical behavior

My name is kiana smith. I was an employee at dollar general, but I was fired yesterday morning and I was schedule to work yesterday at 3:30 to close. She fired me because she found a pack of popsicles opened in the freezer, and she wanted me to confess to opening the popsicles. when I told her I didn't do it she told me I was fired. I don't feel like that was right, I'm 8months pregnant I don't have any other income coming in. I don't feel like that was right for her to do that. three days ago me, her, and my boyfriend had just went to the casino together and for her to do that is plain wrong. I need some kind of benefits coming in like I said I have a child on the way.

Dollar General deplorable state of the bentleyville, pa store

The Bentleyville, PA DG has been steadily going downhill, but there has been a DRASTIC decline from July to today, 9/12/17. The store is filthy, the shelves are in complete disarray, exp: Men's & Toddler shoes are tossed in the same boxes, items are on the floor, things are thrown everywhere, stock carts out day & night but never emptied & block most endcaps. I can provide pictures from today's visit at 8pm. I was looking for a size 4T girl outfit. Items are crammed onto the racks in no size order, in no gender order, in no seasonal order, like items are not together, and when I say crammed, I mean you can't move anything on the rack to find a size. Items pulled out of the display can be found tossed on the floor or onto another shelf. I was in the store the beginning of August to purchase socks that were on sale. There were no socks stocked in the sock area, and when I asked the Manager, I believe his name is James, about them, I was told, sarcastically, that they had socks, but they were in bins in the back, and when he got a chance, he'd put them out. No offer to help me, no offer of a rain check, because when I asked, I was told the socks were there, just not on the shelf. He told me if I wanted socks, I'd have to come back. (I was leaving for vacation. I went to the Family Dollar up the street & got socks.) I have been in that store 5 times since, and there are still NO SOCKS on the sock display, there are a few gray bins underneath, but these seem to contain an array of other items, but not socks. Tonight's experience was the worst yet. When I walked in the door I was treated to the sight of boxes and bins strewn all over the entrance & blocking the cashier area. I could barely get through the isles due to the stock carts in EVERY AREA OF THE STORE. If the manner in which this store is being managed continues, there will be no stock on the shelves, just in the carts waiting to be unpacked! This used to be a nice store. The building might be old, but the store used to be clean, items used to be easily accessed, and employees were kind and helpful. I can shop at the Richeyville, PA store, which is beautifully maintained, but is further from my home. There is also a Family Dollar closer to me, but I always preferred DG. Unfortunately, the horror that the Bentleyville store has become is driving me away. As I said earlier, I have pictures. I'm even willing to walk in the store and live video the disaster in there to you in real time on a daily basis to prove my point. DG has always been a vital part of the Bentleyville community and I would rather lodge this complaint than see the store closed.

Dollar General manager

The store on Highway 11 in Leesburg, is the store I go to on a daily basis. I will no longer go to this store with the manager you have over that store. She is rude and very vulgar with her words and I feel sorry for the girls working below her. I have been in a few times when she is working and it isn't right for a manager to cuss and yell at anyone let alone to one of her employees.
I overheard a conversation between an employee and the store manager and the manager was just outright rude to her. Talking about how she didn't give a [censored] and didn't care... and I'm sorry I have a business too and I wouldn't allow my employees to talk like that or be talked to like that.

Dollar General employees/where your employees park and always standing in long line

I live in Seagrove n.c. and i have a few complaints i want to bring to your attention.First of all one of the employees at the dollar general store in seagrove follows me and my kids around almost every time she is working and i fill like it is because i go in the store in my pajama pants i dont steal and never have and that is what she makes me feel like i am in there to do.i am not sure of her name i can not remeber it sorry.second of all the employees park in the front of the store when i thought they were suppose to park on the side and leave the front parking spaces for there coustomers.and lastly every time we go in the store there will be a long line and only one register open when the other employees are standing around sometimes you might see one of them stocking the shelves . but i do not see the point in having all of them registers if all they are going to have open is one inless you say something and then they might finally open another one sorry for the long complaint it just makes me upset with the way they r doing.

Dollar General advertised discounts not given

Purchased cereal advertised as 3 for $6., and Doritos advertised as 2 for $5. I was charged full price on all items. I showed my receipt to the cashier. It took 45! minutes to get my discount. I had paid with my debit card, but couldn't have the card credited. I was reimbursed with cash and I still don't think it was the correct amount. It was the second day of a 7 day sale and most of the sale items were out of stock.

Dollar General store manager kenya timmons

I have a close friend that works at dg on county line and hwy 72 madison al. Kenya the store manager never comes in always has lame excuse. She hired her family ross townsend to do stock but my friend does almost everything. They had a guy named josh that worked there and got fired for grazing. Well kenya got cought "grazing" on camere and she didnt get fired. They sent her home admin leave then her husband came up to store and said something to ricky the dm and she was back at work, similar situations have happened before. Kenya will redo the time sheet and not put it back in computer and this is so nobody knows when she is at work which isnt much. Then when she is out she has hourly people cover which messes up the hours. My friend takes care of that store. Ricky and kenya, there is something weird going on because he is to scared to reprimand her. Two employees have quit because of her. I hear rumors that the police are watching that store because of drug activity. Kenya gets payed anyway so that explains why everytime she is supposed to work she ask everyone to cover and if they wont she will text all day argueing so your days off are filled with stress too. Ricky is not dm material and kenya is not store manager material either. This company is so messed up, or at least this district is and its causing people alot of emotional distress. Can someone please grow some and take care of these problems. It really makes your store look like a joke.

Dollar General service

Takes forever to be waited on. The workers are in the back and when you yell hello. No one comes. Be a good way people to steal from this store. No workers up front to watch the store. Or the workers during the day outside smoking and be a huge line. I go there on my lunch break and dont have that much time. I will be finding another place to stop. The 2 ladies working during the day not very friendly.

Dollar General my application

I have recently put in application with Dollar General in the economy Shopping Square in Oklahoma City Oklahoma Southwest 29th and May and I have also been calling to check the status and see if anyone have looked at my application but the manager there is rude and he keeps telling me if he's interested in hiring me then he will call me and let me know there's no one but one employee that works during the day no manager in there with her she's always in there by herself I asked her if she could tell him also about my application and she said she would tell him and I also witnessed that it was long line of customers and no one in there to help her no one.., I was just wondering if there was anything that anybody could do talk to him and tell him that his customer care is very poor service and if I could get a call back cuz I'm very interested in working there is right down the street from my house and it's convenient for me and my children thanks for your time and letting me comment about my experience with Dollar General

Dollar General room freshener

I purchased the 4 pack of Dollar General's room freshener. I usually by the name brain but have like other Dollar General products. I documented the time that I replaced the air freshener. You state it's a 30 day fragrance. I show this to last from august 19 thru the 26th. So . A pack of 4 lasted a month! I tried for refund but was refused. Could you help?

Dollar General coupons

6-9-17 I made a purchase of $52.45 with the intention of using the coupons that amounted to $10 dollars or more. When I went to use the coupons it kept saying that my phone and coupons was excepted and then it said it was not. I ask the clerk what the problem was and all she could say was she could not tell me.
cottenelle flush wipes, $1., Dawn dish soap, .25, Downey fabric softener $2. and a $5. coupon for $25 dollars or more.
I wish to be refunded for the amount as I have kept up with my part and expect you to do the same. If I had it to do all over again I would have just told them to keep the stuff and walk out.

Dollar General customer service

#1 worst company to work for, be a customer at, and to be treated well. Also, their equipment and policies are [censored]. Lastly, they don't even pay their employees correctly, this class-action lawsuits have been awarded to over 1500 prior managers.

Seriously, the entire company cares only about the dollar, not the customers at all. Don't ever enter a dollar ghetto store, unless you want to be treated ghetto...

Dollar General service

On today Sunday September 10, 2017 I went into my local Dollar General which is only a few blocks from my home. The worker that checked me put was very nice but she needed assistance because I had 2 items that were on sale but not ringing up for the right amount. she then called the manager I assume. while on the line with the manager they began to make rude comments as if I were not standing there. I told the first lady that she could go ahead and finish my order because I had been standing there for 15mins already. The other worker fail to hear what I had to say...i never raised my voice I just simply told her that the system may not have caught up with the sale..They were clueless about the coupons as well as the digital coupons...the rude one told me that it had to be only digital for the sale to work, which I know is not true...i left the store embarrassed and I will not go to THAT store again...i will go across town before I go back there. I have never had to complain like this before but I feel it is a must that some thing is done. Even though I showed them the ad they would not give it to me at the sale price...i am so upset and confused.

Dollar General slip and fall

I slipped and fell at the Dollar General located on Glenwood and Newburg in Westland Mi. I told the store manager that was there about it and all she did was apologize and filed no incident report. She didn't even suggest it as if she didn't wont to be bothered with it. The whole right side of my body is sore and bruised. There was only one caution sign up and it was at the front of the store. I was at the other end of the store and the lane that I fell in had no sign in that area. I told here that she needed to put those signs at other ends of the store and she said nothing once again I don't think she wanted to be bothered. I am in the customer service field and I know that there are proper steps that needs to be taken when customers have accidents on business properties. The incident happened on Sept 9th between 8:30 and 9:00 pm that evening. I just want to know what steps should I take before I take the steps of suing which is what I'm trying to avoid. Dollar General adolph burnall

I am writing because your store located at 319 Moursund Blvd, San Antonio, TX 78221 has the womens bathroom designated for employees only. They have taped a piece of paper over the womens sign. I went in there to pick up a few things and my little girl needed to use the restroom very badly. The mens restroom was out of order. One of your cashiers named Adolph Burnall would not let me use the remaining restroom because he said it is for employees only. We tried to make it to another store but she urinated in her pants on the way. I will never shop at your establishment again.

Dollar General cashier/ anderson al

9/9/2017, 7:15-7:30 p.M. approx. Checked out with young cashier. Friendly but, she asked me for a tip. I told her I'm sure she could get in trouble for that and she said she was just kidding. Also, I didn't get receipt. My fault, I didn't notice that til I left. Called store on 9/10/2017 to speak to manager about it. Woman who answered phone said she was acting manager. I ask her if she worked the night before, she said she was there. Told her about my experience and she said she would tell main manager. No apology or disbelief about tip being asked for... This lady I talked to clearly didn't want to be there or deal with the tip situation. No harm done of course just thought DG should know. Very unusual experience.
