I recently used ebay international standard delivery to ship a package to Brazil. The package weight was 1 lb 15 oz. I have sent several identical packages via ebay international standard delivery. Always 1 lb 15 oz. Shipping label for 1 lb 15 oz to Brazil was $28.00. However, I was later billed $66.00. I contacted ebay customer service via phone. For 45 minutes the customer service rep stated that the carrier weighed the package at 4 lb 2 oz and there was nothing she could do for me. Amazing how a package magically more than doubled in weight. It weighed 1 lb 15 oz when I weighed it. It weighed 1 lb 15 oz when my local post office weighed it. But somehow it weighed over 4 lbs when it was weighed at the ebay regional facility. HOW? Ebay customer service basically told me "too bad!". No customer service whatsoever. I asked to speak to a supervisor. Was told I'm being transferred to Holly. RIGHT! Nobody on the line. Call disconnected. I want a $38 refund posted to my ebay account as I was scammed either by ebay or the package carrier out of $38. It doesn't matter who did the scam, it is "ebay international standard delivery"(KEYWORD: EBAY) that charged me the extra $38.00. If ebay can't stand behind their product then it is a sad state of affairs as they are just using us and screwing us without recourse.
Desired outcome: $38 refund credited to my account
