eBay The trash company without morals

Once upon a time Ebay was the place to go to sell and buy goods, but that's all been abandoned.

1. This company seems to fully endorse scalpers. They only care about their bottom line.
2. I even tried to purchase from these scalpers for a GPU since the market is not good. So they banned me.
3. They provided no customer support cause they really don't care about their consumers.

Ebay has become a company that only cares about their bottom line, provides no customer support, and has no morality. Supporting such a company is shame on you.

Desired outcome: None, I will not provide any business to this trash company

eBay Ebay started a problem and then left the customer hanging. Lost account.

I purchased a flash drive for my Iphone.
It would not work.
I paid to ship back and assumed refund would follow.
Ebay sent email asking if refund occurred.
I checked, it did not.
Ebay said too bad, case closed.
I closed account.
Have had friends/neighbors with similar situations, my case was low cost.
Lesson learned.
I was lucky up to today.
I will not chance luck again.
I conduct business with reputable organizations.

Desired outcome: Become a better business. Check BOTH sides before taking action, no action is pitiful. You started this problem, stirred the pot and left. Pitiful.

eBay Anubis ring egyptian ancient god biker amulet

The seller: golaago, sent this Anubus Egyptian Ancient God Biker Silver Amulet Ring to a 'neighbors' apartment.
Never produced any proof of that but stated that it is now listed as 'delivered.
He has offered all sorts of excuses and then suggested that I go to the neighboring apartment and knock on apartment doors then suggested that I did in fact receive it.
I checked with our fully staffed mail room who of course never received it.

Desired outcome: I want what I paid for and I would sincerely like the seller to be conacted and evaluate their business practices as I am sure I am not the only victim of this complete sham of so called business practices.

eBay eBay gives buyers a license to steal.

A buyer bought a brand new item in a package, then claimed it didn't work right and demanded a refund. I hate place no returns on my item page but yet Ebay is forcing me to take the item back or the buyer can keep the item and they will take the money out of my account. This amounts to nothing more than a license to steal. I am not Walmart I am a private individual selling a garage sale item. If you're buying something at eBay you take your chances. But apparently not according to their "eBay guarantee" however they do sell a product protection plan, that nobody uses because of this. I will never use Ebay again.

Desired outcome: I want my item back, then I will return the money.

eBay buyer protection

If there are rules on how a buyer is protected by the means in which they pay for an item then there should be rules in place that prevent sellers from using any other mean to collect payment that eBay cannot guarantee. absolutely heartbreaking that they say they only protect buyers if they use certain payment services but allows sellers to use other methods. seems like they are allowing people to be scammed without care. How careless of a company that is publicly traded on the stock market.

Desired outcome: change3 the policies to protect buyers and sellers alike.

eBay Not getting the items I order

My experience of getting my order lately are not good. I have not received 2 of the items I ordered. One you did refund my money. The other is still in the process of where I do not know. I asked for a refund today 4/27/2021 and their answer is they will get me the right tracking number. I sent conformation where they sent the first one to the wrong address Corona Ca. 92881. My address is 5900 Starboard Dr. Discovery Bay, Ca. 94505 not even close. It has been too long I need this fish food. Everything I order seems to be taking to long.
You can blame it on the Pandemic but it is pretty much over. I have sold things and the people are getting my items in 3 to 4 days. I ordered the fish food April 2, 2021 I think it has been long enough. I want the food.

I was told by the seller that your company either switched my package out or someone stole it and sent the panties. Suzho_25 messaged that to me on eBay. I'm not the only one scammed

Basically let me get SCAMMED by Suzho_25 out of $102.03 for something I truly didn't receive. I'm not the only one they SCAMMED and sent a wrong item. It's basically in their feedback. Ebay choose to ignore that. Suzho_25 claimed the Jiaxing Zhenjiang logistic company switched my item or it was stolen. They are LIARS. I want my money back now. ASAP

eBay Censorship of buyer ratings and reviews

Unlike Amazon, Ebay's marketplace products and sellers have relatively few reviews and it's hard (sometimes impossible) to leave reviews on products we consumers buy or sellers we do business with. Over the past year, our family has found about half of the items we buy on Ebay don't satisfy their advertising pages' claims. Others arrive broken or with other obvious defects. Sellers typically try to get us to accept a partial refund instead of taking back their goods.

We discovered a lot of the problems were with overseas sellers so started restricting our search to US-only sellers. This didn't solve the problem because many overseas sellers use drop-shipping from US-based warehouses. Recently, we bought our fourth headphones set from an Ebay seller who within 48 hours of the headset being delivered requested a POSITIVE review from us. They claimed this helped their store grow. We politely let them know we couldn't do this because although the headset worked, the USB-C attachment did NOT.

Exactly one month to the day that we got the headset it failed. We contacted the seller but got three words back: "30 days returns." They refused to answer any further questions (we wanted to know if there was a warranty on the headphones...). So we tried to open a return with Ebay. The seller rejected it within minutes. Then we tried to leave a review about our experience. But Ebay CENSORED our review, taking it down immediately.

We've been trying to find out HOW to leave an honest, verifiable review so other shoppers like us understand 1) many of these electronic products have NO WARRANTY, so if they fail, the consumer has no recourse; 2) some sellers are requesting positive reviews immediately after product delivery before likely problems arise (skewing shoppers' expectations about quality and service of products and sellers); and 3) it appears we do NOT have 30-days to return defective electronics since this time period doesn't appear to include the transit time between ordering and delivery to consumers' homes. But no one from Ebay will return our contact requests with a VALID way to solve this issue. We were last told we needed to speak with an agent in the Defects Appeals Department, but the agent who told us this abruptly terminated our chat after promising to connect us with that department.

Desired outcome: Someone from Defects Appeals Department should contact us to let us know how we can edit our review so it posts publically.

I'm not sure if this website will allow me to share an email I recently got from Ebay's Customer Service department. Before posting here on Complaintsboard, I once again tried reaching out to Ebay. There is no way I can find to chat with representatives since my review was censored and removed. Ebay seems to remove the CHAT function from your Ebay shopping page if they feel they've already spoken with you about an issue, sending you, instead, to an ocean of unhelpful "Help" pages.

Ebay's response (I have the email for confirmation) to me: "Thanks for contacting us about the feedback you've received. I understand how frustrating it is to get negative feedback when you feel it's undeserved. I know that you want it to be removed to maintain your good selling reviews." In their reply, they forwarded their censorship policy (https://www.ebay.com/help/policies/selling-policies/seller-performance-policy/seller-performance-defect-removal-policy?id=4352) in which they assert:

"What kinds of defects can be removed, and how?
We automatically remove defects in certain situations, including where we find the buyer was at fault, if the problem was caused by an eBay site issue, or if there was an issue outside of your control like shipping service delays, or items being delayed because of an extreme weather event. If you've had a defect removed for any of the reasons mentioned above, please note it can take up to two days for your ratings to be adjusted."

So, an authentic buyer's review about an electronic product that failed on day 30 and a seller's refusal to answer questions about warranties constitutes a defect in which "the buyer was at fault." Ebay purposely removes legitimate buyer reviews to, by its own admission, "maintain your good selling reviews" instead of maintaining transparency and reliability in its review system. Shoppers beware.

Yes, my feedback apparently was removed. In fact they have no feedback at Limited Goods by Nathan Franco that I can see. He may be a new seller, but my feedback doesn’t show on his page after almost 12 hours. I know your frustration.

eBay Account suspension due to not providing information timely.

I have been caring for my wife for 3 years due to cancer related health issues and I just did not keep up with any eMails from eBay. I find out recently that my account was suspended because I did not provide some information. I chatted with a customer service rep (Briana) and she said I cannot reinstate my account! In today's digital age, I find that hard to believe! I'm sure all my past information is still stored somewhere and could be restored and reinstated now that I am able to turn my attention away from my wife and provide the information eBay has desperately needed. eBay Returning damaged sunglasses

I have repeatedly attempted to get a refund on a pair of Fate Oakley sunglasses that have very damaged lenses not only with scratches but the lens coating is coming off and cloudy . eBay Why are Ebay customer service people all liars?

I had a problem with an Ebay transaction. I was the buyer, and the seller sent me a broken item. However, it was past the 30 day Ebay money back guarantee time period. So, the seller said that he would refund my payment back to me if I mailed the item back to him at my expense. So instead of taking a total loss, I reluctantly agreed to return the item at my cost. Ebay customer service told me that I could have made the seller pay for the return cost, so to make up for that, Ebay customer service put me on hold and I assume spoke to a Supervisor about the situation. Then, the customer service person got back on the phone and said that they would issue me a coupon for $22.00 (the price to ship the item back) for a future purchase on Ebay. I thought this was an act of good faith by a billion dollar company like Ebay, so I said thank you and thought everything was resolved. A couple days later, no coupon had been sent to my Ebay account. So, I called Ebay customer service and one lady said that she would email the agent to see if he could issue the coupon. Then I called again the next day and was told it would probably take another 24 hours to post on my account. The next day, still no coupon, so I called Ebay customer service yet again. This time the agent said that they cannot give me the coupon because I had been refunded for the item. What ? I asked him what did that have to do with paying for the shipping with a good will coupon from Ebay? All I got was sorry sir, we cannot do anything for you. The case has been closed. I asked for a Supervisor five times, and was denied every time. I would still like a coupon for the $22.00 that was promised to me by the first Ebay customer service representative.

Desired outcome: A credit or coupon for $22.00 on my Ebay account.

eBay Unethical Business practices at Ebay

I have been an honest Buyer and Seller at Ebay for many years, almost since they opened as an auction site. They recently suspended my account and ended 19 listings for no reason except to state non-specifically that I broke one of their rules. I absolutely did not break any rules and did not attempt nor doing anything against their rules. After I placed and order for some smart plugs from China of course...everything they are selling is now largely from China, I tried to contact the buyer to ask them to cancel as I accidentally bought the item twice. I am 65 and just got over Covid and I am being very absent minded since. I could not contact the Buyer no matter how I tried or how many times I tried. I contacted customer service by chat, which is now the only way Ebay allows you to contact them...and was assured the purchase was cancelled. Right after that chat, my account was permanently suspended. I contacted customer service and after much wasted time was told their was nothing they could do and they could not tell me anything more about why my account was closed and all my listings erased. I tried again and through their Twitter link and got the same replies...nothing we can do and no explanation and if you try to get around the suspension in any way we will close those accounts too. I begged them to tell me what i was accused of and they would not tell me anything. They also did not cancel the order and I received all these extra smart plugs I do not need. Paypal would not refund and allow me to send them back because they stated they only refund if the item is not as described or does not arrive. Ebay will not allow me to ask for a refund on their site either. I GUESS WE ARE ALREADY BEING CONTROLLED BY CHINA OR OTHER UN-AMERICAN influences, because this is like going to jail without explanation or a trial. I state again, I did nothing wrong and this has been a huge inconvenience as I had 19 listings and just hired someone to help me list many more items of mine to help me pay my bills as i have been very ill this past year. No company in the USA should be able to do this to someone without explanation and also tell them a purchase has been sucessfully cancelled and then send the item anyway and then not assist in returning it. I have the chat transcripts to prove all that I have just stated. Paypal is obviously not going to go against Ebay as they supply a huge amount of business. Where is this country going?

eBay A Seller (salemonarch) Harassments & eBay Does Nothing

On March 19th I purchased item [protected] Men's Jeans from the seller (salemonarchuser) on March 24th I sent the seller an email asking for an updated shipping status and kindly asked for tracking! The seller replied give me 1 more day and they should have tracking information. On March 26th, sent the seller another email requesting updated status, the seller replied give additional two days! This sounds fishy, so opened the item not received a case through eBay, and left the seller negative feedback! The seller started harassing and breaking eBay policies. The first policy broken by this seller was leaving a false negative saying I am a scammer, left negative for no reason. I reported this policy violation and eBay did nothing. Proceeded to receive 26 emails from this seller of harassment asking me to close the case and remove the negative comment. Why would I do that, when the item was not received and the harassment and bullying received from this seller.

The seller proceeded to claim to have a picture of the delivery of the item on my porch, the picture is not of my house! Uploaded a picture of the front and back of my house to prove it's my house, the seller still called me a lier scam. Why would I lie and send fake pictures of my house over a measly pair of jeans. 3 days have passed since the harassment started, and I go about my business of filling and shipping my eBay orders!

On the 4th day received another email from the seller, saying I violated eBay policies and eBay pulled my listings because of this seller's false claims. I sent documents of resell rights and products in no way violate policy and showed them for the past year have been selling the same products to many happy customers and hundreds of other sellers selling the same products.

After the 6th day of harassment from this seller, no product ordered, and contacting eBay by live chat and phone no help at all and they just read what's already posted on their website.

My next question was asked why they allow this seller to bully others because of negative comments not received! They could not provide the answer! Went tried to do the research myself, found this seller harassed other buyers for leaving negative feedback with good reason. This seller has been a member since 2014 and I have been selling for two years, do sellers who been on the platform longer get special treatment even when they are scamming not shipping products they claim to have.

Until this is resolved have pulled from listings from the eBay platform and only sell through my website and Bonanza! eBay does not even follow its own policies!

eBay Sellers and Products

On 03/26/21 I had ordered three items from three different sellers on eBay. I ordered a portable closet, 3 tier cat cage, and a makeup kit. On 03/28/21 I had placed another order which was an unlocked cell phone a case for the cell phone and a mini-fridge from two different sellers. As I monitor the app and get notifications I received a notification that my make-up kit was shipped out on the same day 03/26/21. On 03/27/21 I get a message from the seller for the portable closet saying that he was going to cancel my order and refund me, because they discovered that the portable closets were very poor quality which was very nice of him. Now I'm still waiting for my 3 tier cat cage to ship a cage that I had paid almost $60 for. The item arrived yesterday 04/01/21 which was not the cage. My son opens the package and it's only the tray the bottom part of the cage but no cage. So I contact the seller and of course the seller ignores me. So I then contacted eBay via chat and explained my situation to the rep the rep looked into it and said it was completly unacceptable the the seller did not provide me with what I had ordered and that the situatuon will be taken care of. After the complaint was filed is when the seller decides to contact me telling me that he's sorry that I'm not happy with there product he can ship me a new on or I just ship the item back for a full refund and pay the cost of shipping or just keep the item and only get 50% of my money back no I don't think so you fausly advertised it clearly showes 16 different pictures of this cage and 2 pictures of the bottom tray by its self so no I want my cage. He doesn't respond once again but claims he refunded me when I clearly said I didn't want a refund I just wanted the item that I paid for. So with that being said he must have not had the item period and was falsely advertising, to begin with, because like I said instead of just shipping my order like I kindly ask for the claims that I was refunded. Now the seller for the mini-fridge I had contacted him with a concern about shipping because other Items I ordered were already shipped and scheduled to be delivered before the estimated delivery date. Now it was already 03/30/21 and I noticed the mini-fridge still wasn't shipped but the estimated delivery date was 04/05/21. So I contacted the seller and kindly asked when will my fridge be shipped out because if it still hasn't been shipped then I don't see how I will get it on 04/05/21. I also told him that I will wait a day or two longer and if still has not shipped I might have to just cancel my order. Once again instead of this seller responding to my message regarding when will my mini-fridge be shipped he just took it upon himself to just cancel my order this is the second time already.

Desired outcome: I made it very clear that I didn't want my money back I wanted the items that I had paid for obviously I ordered them for a reason.

eBay Laptop

Sold a laptop on eBay. Contacted ebay because the buyer stated item was not as described, though it worked great when it was in my possession. eBay stated that i had to accept return. once item arrived was dead and no longer functioned. contacted eBay for resolution and they stated they could not neglect the buyer and since I accepted the return I was responsible. Now I have a laptop that doesn't even turn on and I'm out near a grand.

eBay Massive multi-state China virus supply price gouging scam

Whenever eBay makes a statement you can rest assured that in reality the complete opposite is true.

While eBay has been claiming it is against price gouging, eBay has been engaged in price gouging.

Lets examine one example.

The third largest home improvement chain in America has been offering 8 ounce or 12 ounce bottles of hand sanitizer for $2.99, with a $2.99 rebate. The rebate is mailed to you as a postcard that you then can use to purchase items from the store - effectively a merchandise credit check. Thus, your only cost would be the sales tax, unless you used previous rebates to pay for your purchase in which case there would be no sales tax.

I purchased 100 8 ounce bottles at $299.00 and paid $20.93 in sales tax. I later received a rebate of $299.00 that I can use for future purchases. The net cost was $20.93 + $.10 in lost interest + my time.

I wanted to offer these 100 bottles of hand sanitizer on eBay as a free local pickup as they could not be shipped without a special permit. The price would cover the $20.93 sales tax; $.10 lost interest; eBay fees; PayPal fees on the price of the item and sales tax; and a couple dollars for my labor of picking the items up, filling out the rebate and waiting for someone to pick them up. I make a grand total of $4.70 at a sales price of $29.95 for the whole. This would be a great benefit for any buyers unable to outlay the initial $319.93 for the purchase and wait for the rebate.

I was barred from listing the item on eBay. I was told that the item could not be listed due to price gouging. I was told that eBay was working only with a group of select partners to avoid price gouging.

The next lowest priced hand sanitizer on eBay with free local pickup was at least 4 1/2 times the cost. The lowest with free shipping was nearly 8 times the cost.

eBay customer service gave me the typical copy and paste reply of how they are activity patrolling eBay for price gouging. Another lie as a quick search resulted in thousands of similar products, all of which were engaged in price gouging.

Considering that the third largest home improvement chain has been offering hand sanitizer for free for months clearly indicates eBay and its vendors are engaged in price gouging.

eBay's nudge-nudge wink-wink price gouging is a prime example of why you should believe a single word eBay says.

In the end I went with plan B and donated to a local charity.

Desired outcome: eBay management and employees need jail sentences. Ebay, eBay managment and eBay employees need massive fines. eBay managment and employees need to be fired without any benefits or pay packages.
