On Sunday I was returning a pair of shoes at Jet Fleurdal. After the credit I went to the shoes and underwear section where I was robbed of my cell phone out of my handbag while shopping . I BROUGHT it to the attention of the assistant Alinah Mphatseng who said I'm lucky because I bought the phone on my account on the 15'th OF January 2020 and have insurance and you will replace my phone.
They then said at 11h00 I must go and block the phone and card get an ITC number and go to the police and get a case number. Well today when I had all the case numbers upon entering and being treated like a thug by Mrs Alinah Mphatseng who said it's not their fault it I lose my phone am I sure it happened in your store. She humiliated me in front of other customers. Raised her voice and now suddenly I have to pay an Excess because I lost my phone. There is no security in that store . No service personnel on the floor only cashiers. I feel violated because after going to blacklist the phone I heard from Vodacom it was the 15'th one they had to do now from robberies at JET. And they get on average 2 every day. Now after being victimised and humiliated I still do not have a phone and must pay R800 whenever they come back to me. This is really wrong. I have spent over R50000 in that store and this is how I am being handled. Why are there no signs up warning you there are a syndicate targeting your stores and to keep your handbag in front of you cause mine hanged closed on my left hand side.
The manager is no manager Mrs Naomi Nkosi. She just stood there and let her staff member treat me like dirt.
There are thieves targeting your stores. I am without a phone. And must now pay extra to crown it all my affidavit states stolen out of bag, the manager writes on Hollard's form customer lost phone in store. I am beyond disappointed. This is not right. I have rights to and they showed no compassion or human decency Why must I pay excess if it was stolen in your store with no floor personnel or security or even security cameras and then treated like a thug, common thief. They humiliated me in public.
