****SCAM e-Dreams****
Having just experienced awful services from eDreams I wish I had read this forum first. Reading through the posts of all the people complaining against them after being scammed by so called eDreames (or as someone said e-Nightmares) I simply cannot understand that they are still “lawfully” trading after scamming so many people for several years. How is it “allowed and possible” to scam people repeatedly for such a long period!? At least they could be honest and explain their policy before you make any purchase and not make demands after you press “purchase” button.
They advertise one price and just when you are about to pay for your ticket, as by magic, price suddenly changes, revealing hidden, higher, charges that were not mentioned before. After stupidly giving them passport number and the full details of my visa card nightmares have started.
Once you click on “purchase” your ticket, you expect at least to receive it by email, and not receive an email where eDreams demands from you to fax them copy of your passport, copy of both sides of your credit card (including side with your signature) in order to get your ticket. Why not birth certificate as well? If it is their policy they could at least explain before you purchase your ticket and not demand your identity details as your passport, signature, copy of both sides of your credit card, after you press purchase button.
The next thing you get an email from them telling you that there were problems during payment process.

Important!
We are currently checking a problem we have detected with your bank card during the payment process. As soon as we have verified that everything is correct we will send you a ticket as indicated in the section “Following steps.” If it is not possible to complete the payment with the credit card provided we will contact you by e-mail to inform you of how your ticket can be issued.

If we do not encounter any problems during the payment process, the ticket for this booking will be issued in the form of an electronic ticket (e-ticket). The confirmation of the e-ticket will be sent as a second e-mail to the e-mail address specified below. You will not be sent any paper documentation.

Second email that they send you is demand that you fax them copy of your passport, both sides of your credit card, your signature and it seems from peoples’ experience and the posts in the forum, no one guarantees that you will ever receive your money back if you do not accept to disclose all your personal details to someone you do not even know.
I was unfortunate to come across the company and would never purchase anything from them again. If you want to sleep well and not have nightmares “AVOID eDreams at any cost!

Dear Bea,

We appreciate your comments and observations and would kindly remind you that the relevant information on how our company works could be found published in a FAQ section of our official web site and in the terms and conditions you accept during the purchase.

As it was explained previously, the service fee would depend on several factors and one of them is the mentioned method of payment, which could be selected from the drop window before starting the search and the price in this case would be adjusted to the method of payment you would be using.

The adjusted to the selected method of payment and the detailed breakdown of prices is also shown after the customer selects the type of the card at the end of the booking process and before the customer confirms the purchase. Thus once confirmed, we understand all charges were accepted.

Warm regards,
Nicole - eDreams

I agree and am very convinced that they are scammers and it amazes me that they are still legally trading so prominently. How can they be stopped? I may try to contact my Euro MP for advice on this matter because it seems to me that something has to be done about them.

YES! This is completely true. Just happened to me. I'm now stranded, with my flight in 12 hours. the flight was $450, now it's $2000 -- which is absurd.

RUN FAR AWAY!

I had exact same thing happen, totally pointless and insecure to have to send photos of your credit card by email or fax an obvious delaying tactic while they push up the price, I refused to send and just spent the easter weekend at home thanks to these scammers. edreams = scam.

***terrible travel agency***

It must be scam. I've read many complaints like exactly my case. I booked two tickets yesterday from ca.edreams.com and was taken my money by credit card. They sentme two e-tickets by email, and I printed them. However! I missed the flight this morning becasue the staff at the Edmonton airport said that there was no booking number on me! I was intending to go to Seoul via San francisco, but I coulnd't. what a terrible experience!

I called the costomer centre three times, but they've never apolozied me and haven't accept their fault! They said to send cancellation and refund paper by email, but I can't trust them any more! The two e-tickets they sent me yesterday by e-mail were just a piece of garbage!

There Customer service is appalling, I paid for my flight almost a month in advance of the flight date and then five days before the flight they emailed me to say that if I didn't pay them an additional 47 Euros they would cancel my flights without a refund. I rung them 9 times in one day trying to make the payment, I kept being told that the card is declined, I spoke to the bank three times and they told me that no transaction had been attempted, I honestly think Edreams are trying to steal my money. When I told them that I was put on hold and asked to speak with a manager. She told me to try again and to call her if I had any problems, when I did have further problems I rung Edreams once again and the same manager wouldn't speak with me. Then my girlfriend used her card, we were told that it had gone through and that an email would be sent to confirm. Then when no email had gone through, we rung again, we were told that the card had also decline, even though the money had be taken from her account. At this point I lost my temper with the staff on the phone and all I got back was a pile of excuses basically laying the blame on me. The staff of eDreams are unhelpful and condescending. STAY AWAY FROM EDREAMS, ITS A SCAM! They have stolen 310 Euros from me!

I work for an airline out of SFO. This morning, I tried to check in 2 very nice guests who were excited to travel to Boston and then on to Lisbon, Portugal. They booked through a company named eDreams. When I tried to check them in it indicated that their ticket did not exist. In their reservation, it showed that the seats were saved and cancelled due to a lack of payment (this happens when booked through a third party because the payment is given from customer to 3rd party, then the 3rd party pays the airline. In this case, the payment was never received by my airline meaning it was POCKETED).
I explained the situation to the guests and they expressed confusion because their payments had been processed (over $2000 per ticket!). I gave them the number to call and after being on hold for over an hour, someone finally picked up. The guest explained his situation only to be hung up on! Apparently, the guest service rep on the other end said "hello, hello? I can't hear you. Call back later."

The guest and his son were very distraught and ended up having to pay for a new ticket OUT OF POCKET and with the hope that they would ever receive a refund from eDreams. When I told my supervisor, he said he was already familiar with eDreams because he had come across the same issue with them on numerous occasions.

Moral of the story: PLEASE DO NOT BOOK WITH E DREAMS! Always check the validity of third party websites first. GOOGLE IS YOUR FRIEND!

eDreams is a major scam. They overcharge for their eDreams fees and they do NOT advise you of the fees upfront when you start booking through them. Look at your Total Price as you're booking. They have a small print there stating that if you do not use their ViaPay MasterCard, then you will not receive their discount of 5.18 Euros per person. After you enter your credit card ino and click on Purchase then the extra fees are added. I was charged like 15 Euros per person! In one case, the ticket charges was 100.75 Euros - yet the eDreams charges were 150.86 Euros - $66 USD in eDreams fees that NEVER was stated upfront while booking. These additional fees do not show up when you review the total fees, and in some cases it does NOT even show up after you enter their credit card. By the way, over the phone they told me that the REAL TOTAL PRICE with their FEES shows up AFTER you enter your Credit Card info. So beware...because many of us enter our credit card info after we've reviewed the total price, then we hit SUBMIT to PURCHASE without reviewing the total price again. We do this because we already reviewed the Total Price before entering the credit are info. This company has designed their site to purposefully bank on us forgetting to review the total price again after we enter our credit card information.

The site indicated that the charge is 5.18 Euros per person in one case, and another it was 5.35 Euros if I do not use your Via MasterCard - this is all it indicates when you click on the total price link.  I was charged double to triple eDreams fees - much over the 5.18 Euros per person.

Specifics on overcharged fees: Their website never stated clearly that I was being charged 37.89 Euros for reference fight [protected] (of which total price ticket was 120 Euros), then another $66.75 for reference flight [protected] (of which total price ticket was 100.75 Euros).

We should know  what you are paying upfront, not after you enter the credit card payment and after you hit submit.
I am dealing with them through email, but I do not expect any support - they charge you what they want.

Do not use them!

Thank you. Bea

This is not the only one case Nicole.
Recently I was waiting for two weeks to get my electronic tickets.
The treatment of Edreams is very unprofessional. In my case I thought I had already lost the money I had paid for my tickets. The communication with Edreams in Spain was never personalized. I made the payment for my tickets via bank transfer. It took 4 days for Edreams to confirm (on my request) that it had received a lower amount in GBP, though the ex change rate use by my bank was higher. No additional explanations, just that my reservation was pending and that I had to wait from 7 to 10 more working days to get my confirmation. I was lucky enough that I contacted the airline directly, and then they gave me all the details of my booking, including the rates and the currency handled at the date I made it via Edreams webpage, and the contact details of the Edreams office that did the reservation. I could contact Edreams in Miami telephonically and this time the communication was personalized and fine and I could get my electronic tickets.
Never before I had troubles when buying a ticket online. Only now with Edreams. I guess Edreams take advantage of people that live in remote countries like Mongolia or Namibia or Sudafrica, where no Edream offices to face our complains directly. It was a real nightmare.
Never again

Just drove 6 hours to the airport to have them tell me that my confirmed flight booking was canceled and I had no ticket. I'm now stranded trying to figure out what to do now that flights have tripled in cost. Plus the hotel I will have to get for tonight. I wish I had read reviews before. I have canceled my credit card because I'm convinced they use this information we give them to steal our identity. What a garbage company. I hope they all burn in hell for the hassle and cost they put people through.

WOW! What an incredibly dishonest company. It clearly said "final price" as I was about to book a flight, including taxes and no service fees. As I entered my credit card # the price changed without me noticing it (12% more). They do this hoping to catch you off guard and have you authorize the transaction. I thought this was pretty bad so I decided to google em and I found these comments. Wow, there should be an investigation on the people that run this site. Wish I was a little more "social media savvy" so I could let them have it, hope someone brings them down...
