Extended vehicle warranty
During my brief coverage plan with Endurance I had two instances that I called to see if they covered the work to be completed on my 2009 Jeep Wrangler. They did not cover fuel tank skid plate, brakes and rotors, heat core flush/repair, radiator flush/repair, or bearings. I decided that my $120/month would maybe serve me better to put into a savings account for my Jeep to have for all repairs. I called to cancel my services with Endurance and was told that they could lower my monthly premium to $96/month which was a slap in the face. I feel like I had been over paying this whole time. She agreed to send a form that had to be printed, notarized, and returned. I was shocked that I had to have it notarized, seems like a call would be sufficient. However, I did as requested and asked for notice on when my coverage would end and to acknowledge they received my form. Nothing, so I called again, the following day, and was told that my coverage was cancelled effective that day. My payments were made on the 30th of each month, this was the 23rd, 7 days short of the month I paid for. So, I asked for my 7 days of coverage i paid for to be reimbursed. I was told that a form would be completed and that any reimbursement would take 6 weeks. This would not have even happened if I had not requested it, it still may not happen. Bad service, bad communication, bad attitudes.
Desired outcome: At this point I just want my money returned to me.
Refusal to cover rear struts
The rear struts on my 2013 Honda CRV have to be replaced. My Advantage Plus warranty plan states under "suspension" that the struts as well as upper and lower control arms are covered. When my auto shop called with the claim, they were told because on my model CRV the upper control arms attach to the struts they are considered shock absorbers, which Endurance doesn't cover. My vehicle doesn't have shocks. My policy clearly states control arms and nowhere does it state any exception to that. Despite a lengthy phone call to the company (and customer service was very helpful and polite) and a review by a supervisor (to whom I never spoke), he said the refusal was valid and they won't cover any of it. I feel they are splitting hairs. Such an exclusion should be clearly spelled out before you purchase the contract and it should be in the contract itself. Now I'm stuck with a repair bill in excess of $1,300. How about kicking this further up the ladder, Endurance? I've paid the $132 monthly bill on time every month as required. Ball's in your court.
Desired outcome: Desired outcome on my end: cover the bill minus my $100 deductible.
Endurance extended vehicle coverage program
At the middle of April 2023, my 2011 Ford Escape registered a Check Engine Code, prompting me to take steps to correct it. "Cylinder 1 Misfire often means the Coil-over-Plug has failed. I changed that. Then I replaced plugs and fuel injector when the problem wasn't resolved. I sent a scope down into the cylinder and didn't see anything that could be a problem with the valve. The cylinder wall was pristine. It looked brand new, with the thatch marks still prominant on all sides. When I did a dry compression test, I found that the #1 cylinder was a bit behind the other 3 in compression (about 30lbs less than the 155Lb that the other three were producing. I took the valve cover off and determined that there was no clearance between the cam and valve at full open.
So, I called Endurance to inform that I was going to need to have mechanical work done with my Secure Plus plan. They told me to take the car to a mechanic and present them with the policy.
I loaded the car on to a trailer and carried it there. (I live in a rural area so it is about 50 miles to the city.) I thought I was doing everything right. My policy states that it covers (Policy Page 5)"... Cylinder Head Valves; Valve Guides; Valve Lifters;
Valve Springs; Valve Seals; Valve Retainers; Valve Seats; Push Rods;...".
A few days later the shop called to get my permission to take the head off. Of course I granted it. The conclusion was the the head would need servicing to replace a valve (burnt). Not too surprising, although I had not seen any area of the valve that was obviously burnt or worn with my scope. The machine shop had to wait for parts, but finally it was back together and ready to pick up (yesterday, May 17, 2023). Then I found that Endurance would have to inspect the vehicle before it could be released. This was inconvenient as it was going on 5 weeks, but THAT actually made sense to me in that it would prevent fraud to some degree. THEN, before an inspector could be assigned the mechanic was called back (this morning) and informed that Endurance would not be covering the repair because the needed part was a burned valve. This is a mechanical problem and not particularly brought on by abuse or poor maintainence.
BUT, THERE IT WAS, in the long list of exclusions, (page 10)"Any repair for the purpose of correcting engine compression, correcting oil consumption, or the gradual reduction of performance when a Breakdown has not occurred. Valve grinding, valve guides, burnt valves, stuck valves, burnt piston, and/or stuck rings are not covered." Technically, the sentence standing on its own negates the stated coverage of parts named on page 5. It occured to me that any other valve issue could (and probably WOULD) be precipitated by poor maintainence, another reason for denial of coverage.
My vehicle has been carefully maintained, but this legitimate mechanical repair is not covered.
All in all, it is a lot of money to pay for poor service!
And yes, I did place a call to Endurance today to confirm what the mechanic had told me,
Desired outcome: Cover the repair or refund the money I have paid. I am not interested in continuing the policy. There are, upon more thorough examination, too many loopholes!
Product/service
I chose Endurance Extended Auto Coverage because they were rated number one for extended warranties but What they DON'T tell you is that when you enter into coverage with them, if your mileage is not EXACT they will not cover a thing. Paid monthly for six months and when I needed to use my extended warranty coverage, (TODAY) they would not cover a thing because there was a mileage discrepancy. I was told that I have 30 days to give the correct mileage but was NEVER told that upon inquiring about coverage. Not to mention, I never recieved an email with my actual policy information until a month and a half later... I would have thought mileage would have been verified like all other companies do with the VIN but they said it is up to me to provide the EXACT mileage. The individuals I spoke with did not care and had no compassion; Just no! we wont cover ANYTHING! Horrible Customer service at that So I wasted my money and time. Learned Lesson!
Desired outcome: An Apology, A Full Refund & Repairs
Contract
I bought a 2019 Chevy Silverado with what I thought was stock tires and rims, I didnt check the tire size to make sure. Endurance denied my claim because I guess the tires are oversized but yet there mounted on factory rims, My break down is lifters in the engine, How many people check to make sure its the right tire on a factory rim, Endurance sends you a contract that you have to read all the fine print and supposedly it says oversize tires make you ineligible for a warranty. So I guess if you by one from this horrible company make sure your tires on your factory rims are the exact size the manufacture puts on them. Do not buy a warranty from this company.
Desired outcome: Honor the warranty I bought, I never check to see if the tires were the correct size the manufacture recommends they are mounted on factory rims I bought the truck used. The tires look normal, Not oversized so why would I check.
Warranty
I call in from the dealership explaining about the situation of a customer car. Explain to the Rep that there is a code for speed sensor inop. Explain to them there is internal malfunction, he kept on asking how I came to conclusions and what we did. I again explain again what we did, he was being such a jerk I got fed up and curse him out. Next day the rep goes on social media and curses me and my mother out which is rude and this looks like this is not the first time the rep goes on social media and to do this claiming he would take his business elsewhere which in fact he just answers calls. The event happen on 4.19.23
Denied warranty coverage
Transmission went out denied claim. Due to unable to verify repair. Dealership turned claim in endurance asked if transmission and filter had been change I thought was odd. I went to dealership to get paperwork and sent it in. They don’t except hand written . So dealership typed it out for them still did not accept stated invoice no. Didn’t match. The company thru back at me I should had it done. The dealership certify vehicle before putting them on the lot. The owner of dealership said they could call them. They chose not to. The dealership was accused of falsifying records. So Edurance denied over invoice numbers and not being able to verify work done. Beware they expected transmission fluid and filter be change just like oil change. There maintence schedule and dealership schedule is way off. It’s not realistic u don’t change transmission fluid like that. I pleaded my case at no end. I’m out of truck I’m 60 yrs. Should went with CarShield. My nephew has had good service . U pay ur bills only to be ripped off.
Desired outcome: Cover repair
Endurance denied covered repairs contract # eadv16072739
0n 3/1/2023 I took my 2014 Ford Escape to DeQueen Ford in DeQueen, Ar. for repairs. I took my Endurance information. I was informed that Endunance that denied all repairs. I called them and the Endurance agent told me the follow; repair #1- valve cover gasket was leaking and this was not covered/Spark plugs and coils were damaged. The oil leaking on spark plugs and coils is what caused the damaged to them. For this reason they were denied.
Cost of replacing valve cover gasket $111.67.(not covered) Cost of.
replacing spark plugs and coils $724.40 (covered). Denied
Repair #2; gas tank heat shield was damaged(not covered)/ drive shaft was damaged and needed replaced. (covered). Denied because gas tank heat shield leaking on the drive shaft and caused the damage. Gas heat shield cost $130.43/drive shaft cost $765.15. I request a copy of my policy be emailed to me twice. Never got one. The agent stated that both repairs could be avoided by regular maintance. I have always kept up regular maintance. Can get in touch with Clay Maxey Ford in Harrison,Ar. They have a record.
Desired outcome: I am requesting I be refunded for covered repairs. $1753.92 If they refuse I would like all my premium refunded.
Warrant plan
I called to cancel my plan because we decided not to get the vehicle after all and had not found one to replace it. It took 4 transfers, and I was on hold for almost 10 minutes to process.
She told me about the refund and when I asked about confirmation of the cancellation, I was told that I wouldn't get anything because basically it was within 30 days, so it was just voided. If I wanted something about the payment being reversed, she stated "I guess you can call Paylink, if you need that."
When I called back to speak to a supervisor, I was told there was not one available after being placed on hold again.
The representative who canceled the plan had so much background noise with children yelling it wasn't hard to figure out she was home. I hope that wasn't the office atmosphere. Until I made this call, I had every intention of purchasing again.
If this is service a transaction, I can't imagine what it would be like to have an issue with a vehicle.
Very Disappointed!
Desired outcome: Confirmation of cancellation
Denial of a coverage clam
I have a 2014 ford expedition that had engine failure in august of 2022...I took my vehicle to a reputable repair shop to have it looked at and had them file a claim with endurance for a mechanical engine failure...Endurance then denied my claim due to their statement that the vehicle was not properly maintained for oil changes for which i provided all documentation as to proper mantainance on the vehicle...I also inquired with the certified auto mechanic at the repair shop who maintained that the engine failure was a structural mechanical failure due to a rocker arm breakage and had no bearing on the so called improper maintenance on oil changes...I am therefore requesting that endurance cover the cost of the engine repair or that this matter be arbitrated to recover the cost of the engine repair.
Contract # EADV36029669
Michael Gasparine
Desired outcome: ENDURANCE SHOULD BE LIABLE FOR THE ENGINE REPAIR AND ANY ADDITIONAL COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH SAID REPAIR. REPAIR BILLS,PHOTOS,AND MECHANIC STATEMENT CAN BE SUBMITTED VIA FAX IF REQUESTED.
Failing Water Pump Claim Denied
On Feb 27, 2023, I took my 2014 ram 1500 to the dealership for a water pump leak. The warranty company I have, Endurance, was notified on 2/28/23 by the service technician that there was leakage coming from the shaft and the water pump needed replaced. The claim was denied by Endurance saying the bearing is a wear item. The Service Advisor contacted me and let me know this, so I called Endurance myself. I was advised the same thing from their claims representative. When I asked where in the contract it states a bearing is a wear item, he stated that the pump would have been covered if it failed, but a bearing is a wear item and not covered with the warranty I chose. I then read through my entire policy and found in the "Covered Items" on page 4 of my policy, it states"... water pump: Impeller shaft, bearings, bushings & housing...". I can not locate anywhere that states a water pump bearing could be considered a wear item and thus not covered.
Desired outcome: I would like the repair to be completed under warranty in good faith as stated in the contract. If this is unreasonable, I would like a full refund of the $ 2,968.00 purchase price of the warranty as I feel it is theft of my money.
If it's on tv, it must be a scam.
People, people, haven't you learned by now that any and every product and services, even charities advertised on TV is nothing but a scam?
Solution: You all need to get together and file class action law suits against the company, AS WELL AS TV NETWORKS FOR ALLOWING THESE CROOK TO ADVERTISE ON THEIR NETWORK, AND THE BANK FOR PROCESSING YOUR PAYMENTS. Let's face it without TV and Banks, these crooks would not have been able to reach you and collect your hard earned money. Both of these entities knew right from the start this whole thing was a scam, and made a lot of money on their ads and deposits.
Warranty
My elderly parents purchased this warranty. The salesperson entered the wrong mileage at time of contract. THAT IS THE SCAM! Now when they went to file a claim ($4,000 later of paying for the warranty) the claim is denied!
When we spoke to customer service manager, she informed me that they use Car Facts to check the mileage. Well, that being said, shouldn’t the sales person done the same at time of contract?
This is elder abuse and deceit at the lowest level
Desired outcome: Pay for car repair
Won’t Cancel My Policy
I opened my account on 1/29/23 and I’ve been trying to cancel my policy 2 days after that because I need my money back. They have a 30 day money back guarantee. I emailed them twice with no response and I called them twice. They keep trying to manipulate me and telling me why I should keep the policy. Its should not be this hard for me to cancel my own policy. This is my money and my choice.
Auto warranty
I would like to file a complaint against Endurance Warranty. I purchased a contract from Endurance in July of 2021, I pay $131 a month to endurance for a service contract and my car broke down on December 6, 2022. The car was towed to a Subaru dealership that night where it was determined the timing belt snapped and has caused major engine damage. The vehicle was up to date on all maintenance, all receipts and records were provided to Endurance by Subaru per their request. Endurance first told Subaru that they needed to have the engine replacement price, which Subaru provided to them. After receiving the estimate, Endurance than waited two weeks to notify Subaru that the engine would need a teardown. Endurance stated that they would not proceed with the claim unless a full engine teardown was performed by Subaru to determine what all has failed within the engine. Subaru performed a leak down test first and recommended the engine be replaced prior to the tear down. To perform a tear down sounded absurd if all internal components of the engine are covered anyway via the contract. What is the point of paying almost $131 a month to Endurance if I still have to pay out of pocket for investigation into an engine that cannot be fixed for the sole purpose of we won’t approve your claim without it.
I regret now but agreed to let Subaru perform the teardown and now Endurance will not honor their warranty stated that the timing belt was deemed to be installed improperly before I purchased the car prior to July of 21 as stated by their inspector, and leaving me stuck with the engine teardown price of $1600, not only the price of the teardown, I still have to pay to get the vehicle running again. The timing belt was replaced prior to me purchasing the car by a certified Subaru garage. I have had the vehicle for 18 months and put around 8,000 miles on the vehicle in that time period since I have owned the vehicle. After I purchased the vehicle, I had Subaru multi point inspect the vehicle and there was nothing wrong or any pre-existing conditions when I purchased the car. I have done four oil changes since the vehicle was purchased and the vehicle passed a multi point inspection during every oil change. I was actually driving the vehicle back from the Subaru dealership that same day after getting the oil changed & routine maintenance performed, the timing belt broke on the way from the dealership. I have had the contract with Endurance this whole time. Subaru told Endurance that there is no way the timing belt was installed incorrectly. The vehicle would have shown signs, check engine light, hesitation and misfiring among other items if the timing was not done correctly.
The Endurance inspector wrote a report that was clearly wrong to get the claim denied. I contacted the Subaru dealership again after hearing that the claim was denied. Subaru reached out to Endurance on January 27, 2023, once again telling them that the belt was not previously installed incorrectly and the tension retainer part failed. I was informed by Subaru after he finished talking to Endurance that he was told by Sean (Endurance Rep) this information still does not change the status of the claim and is it still being denied.
Since day 1 of this nightmare, the initial inspector for Endurance gave them a non-accurate report starting the vehicle cranks, and falsifying other items in his report. He even stated the car would crank in his initial report, however the belt snapped completely off making the vehicle impossible to crank much less even start. Subaru notified Endurance of the discrepancy so the agent for Endurance sent Subaru a portal link on December 30, 2022 to upload photos, videos etc. validifying the inspector was wrong in his initial report.
I have been without my vehicle for almost two months now and all information I got from the company comes after calling for days trying to get answers out of them. I got the runaround since day 1 this whole time, nothing has changed on the status of my vehicle and it’s still sitting in Subaru, now with the engine removed and I’m guessing scattered in boxes since the teardown was performed.
Also, the contract verbatim states "Authorize Tear-Down and/or Inspection - In some cases, You may need to authorize the Licensed Repair Facility to inspect and/or tear-down Your Vehicle in order to determine the cause and cost of the repair. You will be responsible for these charges if the Breakdown is not covered under this Contract. We reserve the right to require an independent third-party inspection of Your Vehicle prior to any repair being made." Notice it says if the breakdown is not covered, I will be responsible note that I have to pay out of pocket firsthand and then be reimbursed if it is covered. However, I was informed I will have to cover this expense for the teardown. Endurance will never want to let you speak to any managers, inspector, or adjuster to determine what they are exactly wanting or possibly looking for.
On January 27, 2023 Endurance denied my claim. I asked to speak to a manager regarding this, I was transferred to other people that worked there. One person I was transferred to was named Alicia who stated she is a manager. However, I spoke to Alicia the day before and she told me she was not a manager or supervisor when I requested one that night, once again I was lied to by Endurance. When I purchased the policy, I was informed by Endurance that this was a bumper to bumper warranty and would start after the waiting period of 1 month and 1,000 miles, but I guess this was just their scam sales tactic to get people like me to believe that my vehicle would be covered to justify the warranty cost.
The bottom line is “this repair falls in their covered warranty” as specified in my contract and should have been repaired accordingly. For Endurance to tell me that the timing belt was installed improperly after owning the vehicle for 18 months and driving 8,000 miles is a joke. The car was previously up to date on all Subaru required maintenance. So far this has been a major hassle, unpleasant and just a total mess with having to contact Endurance repeatedly, getting shifted around from employee to employee, checking to see if they are going to honor the product you sold me. I am really disappointed in Endurance, their staff, and this should really be against the law.
So to summarize: I have an active Endurance Warranty on my Subaru Legacy (the top tier policy), the timing belt broke while driving on 12/06/2022 which is a covered claim item per my warranty. The vehicle met all your policy standards and did not have any pre-existing condition, nor was anything ever installed incorrectly or modified as specified and verified by Subaru of Winchester. The inspector you sent out created a false report to fit a narrative to deny coverage for my car. Since you guys are not honoring a product that you sell is not fair and in my opinion total fraud. Your company has created a larger mess, since I currently have to pay to get my vehicle, and the engine that your company forced me to get removed from the car, and the peices in the box physically removed from the engine teardown now towed from Subaru to a garage I can afford. Your company has now left me owing $1600 plus to Subaru which does not include the new towing fees and the actual replacement parts and labor time needed to get my vehicle running again. If the plan was to deny my claim the whole time Endurance should have not forced me get the teardown performed on the engine. The inspector did this on purpose to delay as a stall tactic until he could find a way to get your company out of covering your warranty product. I was lied to, decieved and cheated by Endurance. Your company wasted two months of time that I have been without my vehicle. I have filed a claim with the Better Business Bearu on 1/27/2023 after recieving your denial for the claim. There is no reason why Endurance denied this claim and should have been handled in a professional and timely manner.
Desired outcome: Honor their premium priced warranty that they sold me. I should be refunded the price of the warranty and the price of the engine teardown at a minimum.
Ladies and Gentlemen, you need to file class action law suits Against Endurance as well as TV stations that received money to perpetuated a fraud/scam despite all the complaints. You also need to file a class action lawsuit against any bank that processed your payments.
If it is on TV, rest assure it is a scam no matter who it is or what it is.
Banks are crooks, they took your money and gave them to another crook, they are liable too.
Need to find a good knowledgeable attorney to put them all together.
Good Luck
Endurance valuemax aftermarket insurance
Stay Away from this company! Do not buy an Aftermarket Warranty through them. I am an owner of an automotive repair shop. One of our customers has an Endurance Valuemax Warranty, and they needed some repairs on their Suburban. The customers Suburban needed a wheel bearing, Inner Tie rod, the engine was misfiring and not running correctly. We inspected and diagnosed the engine issues. Found that there was no compression cylinder #8 and a leak down test showing, it was leaking through exhaust valve. We called Endurance and explained the diagnostics & inspection. They took a few days to call back and then sent their own inspector to verify. I called them back after the week process and they authorized to take the right cylinder head off for further inspection. We pulled the right side of the engine apart and verified that cyl#8 had a broken valve spring. I called them back and talked to one of the agents. He informed me we have to take pictures of the tear down, verify the issue and submit the digital inspection. He wasn't clear that the pictures couldn't be more than 2 mins old. I was in a couple meetings throughout the day and made sure my mechanics took the pictures of the repairs. When I get back to work to finish the inspection and upload pictures, they wouldn't let me upload them. When calling Endurance back, they said that they would not cover the repair- because the pictures were NOT submitted within 2 minutes. So, the customer and our shop are stuck trying to figure out the Charges of the repair that was done. They had bad miscommunication, mis-leading into starting the repair and Will NOT pay for the repair that was done. DO NOT use Endurance Valuemax Warranty
Desired outcome: I would like Them to take care of their customer & our shop's customer. The customer paid them $2,395.00 for the warranty- they should be able to use the warranty
Either pay for the repairs I received for my car or get all the money back for the 3 years I made payments.
I joined Endurance on December 27, 2019. When it came time to use the contract they said I had an oil change at Hyundai on December 19th and my mileage was different than what I started my contract on. I explained to them I had no idea what they wrote down for mileage but when I wrote down the mileage that is what my car mileage was. What Hyundai said and what I wrote down should not have been used against my contract. Their explanation means I had no contract from the beginning. In that case, I should get my money back for all my payments. Thank you, Harold Scott
transmission repair
brought Ford F150 to Ford repair shop and found that it had transmission problems. Had to wait until Endurance sent someone down to check things out. They would not replace the transmission and refused the quote from the Ford dealership and want to install a used transmission. I would not recommend this insurance company to anyone. I have been without a vehicle now for over 3 weeks.
Desired outcome: an immediate repair

The customers that you have trusted you with their vehicle’s care through this warranty and you’re not honoring services. I am going to do everything in my power to expose these practices that your company using. This is ridiculous!
Desired outcome: I would like my vehicle repaired
