negligent servicing
On 6/16/22, my 2006 Volvo would not turn on, after I went shopping at 306N W Plaza Real, Boca Raton, Fl, about 14 miles south of my home. I had the car towed to my home, and had a licensed mechanic, Matt, check it. He made a small adjustment to some "sensors" and recommended a tune-up. So, on 6/17/22 12:25 PM, I took it to Firestone for them to diagnose the problem (5190 W Atlantic Ave Delray Beach, Fl. (Store #025100)
My daughter and I picked up the Volvo at 6:35 PM Friday, 6/17/22.
Work Order # 526020 Service Advisor, Don, [protected]
Technician: 99 GUIVARD
Paid $115.89 as per Retail invoice # 526020 for oil change, vehicle inspection, etc.
This was billed to my daughter's account:
Del Aguila, Rachel
2079 SE Heathwood Cir
Port St Lucie, Fl [protected]
PLEASE NOTE OUR ADDRESS WAS NOT UPDATED ON THE INVOICE (even though we have been living here in Delray Beach for 3 years)
The next day, 6/18/22 10:30 AM, I decided to visit my son in Pembroke Pines, and took I-95 South. The car stopped responding to the gas pedal, and I was able to roll over to the right side of the road. I then called my USAA roadside assistance. However, Diaz Roadside Assistance just happened to be "patrolling" that area (it was just before Exit 33 South on I-95) and they towed the car and brought me home. I arrived home about 1:30 PM 6/18/22.
Tuesday, 6/21/22, a licensed Mechanic, Matt [protected]) came to examine the car, and noticed right away that there was no engine coolant and that the engine seals were all melted. Matt noticed that "the hose to the coolant was not re-attached properly and that allowed the coolant to dry up," thus causing the mishap while I was driving.
So, it appears that Firestone forgot to replace the hose to the coolant, and that resulted in the car now being totally useless. Additionally, due to their "alleged" negligence, I, a 77 year old woman, was put into an extremely dangerous, life-threatening situation, given that the car stopped responding on a very busy I-95, with huge amount of traffic going at 60-70 mph. Very frightening, and totally due to Firestone's incompetence. It appears that the mechanics at Firestone in Delray Beach were incompetent, since their negligence caused me to be in a near-death experience on I-95, I think $25,000 would be a suitable settlement.
Desired outcome: Since their negligence and incompetence at the Delray Beach Firestone caused me to be in a near-death experience on I-95, I think $25,000 would be a suitable settlement.
hub cap
I took my car in to firestone on Belmont Ave. Liberty Ohio on June 29 2022, to have an oil change and tire rotation. When I left firestone after work was done there was all this rattling loud noise which was'nt there when I took my car in. I went back to firestone only to be told a big lie. Whoever worked on my car pried hub cap off and broke a chunk of metal out of it. I have picture but having problem uploading to this message. Fireston people tried to tell me I scraped my hub cup which is not true at all my hub cap was perfect, no scratches were on my hub. my hubcap was not broken when I took in. Can you please send me an email address so I can send you a pictue showing how it was pried off?
Desired outcome: replace my hub cap.
Horrible customer service and treatment of car
On Friday July 1st we took our 2003 Dodge Ram 1500 for 4 brand new tires. During the tire replacement my husband I received a call that the truck didn't sound good and was "poorly running" per one of the workers in a very demeaning and rude way. Upon pickup of the car the workers told us that the truck was cruddy underneath so they cleaned it out and recommended replacing the throttle body and getting a tune up due to build up so we agreed to the work and left the truck despite the rude conversation on the phone earlier. On Monday, we followed up on the truck to find out that Firestone had not even began the work and said it would be a 3 week wait for the parts though we had already confirmed with auto zone and O'Reilly the parts was available immediately. Due to the lack of concern and disposition of the workers we decided to take our business elsewhere and upon our arrival to pick up the truck we were told now the truck will not turn on so then we had to pay for a tow to the other service center. Today, July 6, 2022 we called the other service center and they still cannot get the car to start. When speaking with another service rep at the Firestone location he admitted inadvertently that something was done but could not state exactly due to the confrontation that took place due to the rude comments made about the truck from the beginning. The car was running when initially dropped off with no issues and to come back after just getting tires and now my truck doesn't run at all is a problem. I understand trying to take initiative to fix something you see as a concern but that has now caused problems with my truck which is my livelihood and means of work for my business. Therefore, due to the workers means of "getting back" he is now causing me to lose money.
Desired outcome: I would like the issues to be fixed at no cost to get my car back running as it was when I initially dropped off the truck.
Sunday appointment 7/3/22
Since, I have only had problems with my last 2 visits at the Edison Mall Firestone in Fort Myers florida, I figuered I would try the Del prado Firestone in Cape Coral since they were open on Sundays but the Edison Mall store is now closed on sundays which has never happend in the 10 years I have owed this Chevy Colorado. Paying a toll bridge fee to get to this
Firestone learned me.
I thought it would be better staffed to complete all my items needed on my Colorado that has only been serviced at Firestone for the last 10 years.
I had called a week ahead of time to reserve a day and a time with the list of service's my truck was needing, since I drive my truck 100 miles a day monday - friday, servicing my truck only happens on a saturday or sunday and the Edison mall Firestone in Fort Myers has failed me the last 2 times.
I scheduled a week ahead of time the following to be completed:
3 TPMS sensors replaced, Front Brakes replaced, replace Sway bar bushings both sides, tire rotation, Lifetime alignment and a oil change/ filter.
I dropped off the truck at 8 am and called at 2 pm to see if the truck was ready to pick up and the gentleman on the other side said the master mechanic went home sick for the day and he tried to call me but didn't leave a message at 9am.
When picking up my truck at 2:45pm on sunday 7/3/22
I asked if anything was completed like oil change or brakes since a master mechanic might not be needed to do those items and I was told nothing was done to your truck nor was any other call attempted to me.
No message was left on my cell phone by Firestone and I am not sure why this would be protocal?
There was 1 bay in use and I think Sundays are open till 5pm but no offer to complete anything was offerd. I thought the Firestone issue was solely at the Edison Mall Firestone in Fort Myers but I was wrong, this is a company wide issue, a lack of training issue, a lack of staffing issue and a lack of comunication issue with 2 Firestone stores in 2 seperate cities.
So, I got my oil changed at a Vavoline, drive through store not 3 miles from that Cape Coral Firestone store on my way home since it was 5,000 miles since my last Firestone oil change.
I have an email into a chevrolet dealer to see the next saturday they have available to complete the rest of my trucks service list.
Desired outcome: If Firestone is repeatedly waisting my time I can only imagine others this is also happening too.
Poor ac service
August of 2021 I took my truck into Firestone in Galletin. I knew the ac was bad. Needed new compressor.and freon. They also replaced relays, fuses and o2 censors. They said the line that pumped my freon to compressor was leaking. They said they diagnosed this because they put dye in the line. $1300.00. It lasted a week. I called and told them and they said it could be other issues like blender doors, dirty filter or bad dryer unit. I could not afford another bill so they assured me there was a yr weren't on the compressor if it was that. And I told them as soon as I paid down my bill I would schedule another appt. Which I did in May. I took it back they put a new compressor in again! And freon and assured me it was blowing very cold air. But it lasted a day. No ac again. They said it has to be an electrical issue .they recommended AES in Nashville. And had it diagnosed. No codes showed up . They said they did have to replace a fuse again! And some freon again. So I took back to Galletin. Another compressor was put in. With out checking the clutch or blender doors. And sid please take it too a dealership. We have no idea what it is. So I took to SERRA CHEVROLET IN Goodlettesville. They said line was blown out,and clutch was bad to compressor. And should have been addressed at the time the compressor was changed. The lines were not replaced only repaired and said they were to old to not been replaced. I called Galletin Firestone. They hung up on me. I just wanted them to know what they missed . I think I should get some sort of a refund on this obviously poor job. I am 67 yrs.old retired .fixed income and its not fair that a woman between advanced of. I been a loyal Firestone customer for over 8 yrs. I have proven documents from Serra and Aes .Firestone dropped the ball on this job.
Desired outcome: Refund
Customer relations
I made an appointment yesterday (06/21/2022) for a front end alignment today (06/22/2022) at 11:00am. I arrived early by about 15 min. The attendants at the desk said she had taken 2 other walk ins before I arrived, therefore I’ll be set behind them. I asked about the appointment. Her reply was she will take a walk-in even though there is an appointment due...

My name Edwin Rivera on June 20, 2022, I went to firestone for service to my car. I have been a loyal customer for years. When the car was returned to me, I had scratches on both side of the bumper. I reported it to the person in charge, Chris, and he basically just told me to go and get an estimate and bring it in the morning and give it to whoever was there. The worst service ever, I will never go back to this shop and there are nothing but slobs working there. Other times, that I had my car serviced, there were grease marks on my steering wheel and on my seats. Horrible service there, workers don't care. I am making a complaint to the ct bureaus of consumer complaints. This car is a 2021 Toyota Corolla, nice car and they scratched it badly. I went to get an estimate from a local body shop. As they are booked and until mid-August I cannot get it worked on and I don't think I should pay for this. I also would have to leave it at the body shop for a few days, and I would need a rental because I only have this one car. Total disaster dealing with this shop at firestone in Brookfield, CT.
Desired outcome: store# 014303 need my car scratches on bumper painted and fixed. want it the way it was. nice car. will need a rental for the time the car is in shop.
Incorrect order cost does not make sense based on what I was quoted.
On June 15 2022 I took a Jeep Wranger to the Firestone store on 2414 Hancock Drive in Braselton Georgia. I talked to #22 num (employee on the invoice and another employee named Mike .My jeep had a grinding noise coming from the driver side front brake . I noticed the brake disk was wearing wrong. They inspected the jeep and called back with what they found. I talked to Mike .They said I needed front brakes,I had an oil leak on the upper oil pan. My back brakes were worn and they noticed the tires were wearing on the sides slightly and they suggested I get an Alignment and my brake fluid was dirty and needed an exchange. I then told Mike to change the front brakes and fix the oil pan leak . I was quoted a price under $1000.00 to do the job . This was all I ordered to get done . The jeep stayed the night then on the next morning I received a call that the left front caliper was locked up and needed to be replaced . I was quoted a price of $500.00. I said I would call back and give you an answer. I then received another call within 10 minutes stating that a mistake was made on the labor portion of the caliper install and it would be around $300.00. So I said Ok . Total invoice to be around $1300.00. I go to pick up the jeep and the bill is $1900.00 . I find out they changed the back brakes with my approval confirmed by the counter employee Mike .Another employee came out to talk to me . I assume he was the manager but he did not introduce himself he to talk to me at the counter while he turned the computer around and expected me to look at it and see what was done . I have been in management all my life if there is a problem introduce yourself take you and the customer away from the rest of the customers waiting on each side of us and move to a different location to discuss the problem . I mean I am trying to make heads or tails from your computer screen with people on each side of me. Puts me in a uncomfortable position . Do not get me wrong he was professional and so was I .So bottom line he refunded the back brakes . Which was $459.37 . I am looking at my invoice (at my house) and I have questions. I now notice an alignment charge of $99.00 which was not ordered also .this I did not see on the computer which I was trying to understand at the counter. Again the employees were professional . Invoice 101103 store 906088 Thanks Mike Villaume.
Desired outcome: Refund the Alignment charge as it was not ordered (confirmed by Mike your employee . Or a coupon for $100.00 off my next visit .
Lifetime alignment destruction of suspension
They stripped a bolt to the frame of my vehicle during an alignment because the technician used an impact to tighten a bolt. There is no telling the cost of these repairs or even if its possible to be repaired at all. The fact that they let my vehicle roll out of the shop without saying anything says enough to me, the lack of care for safety is unbelievable. I took the vehicle to a second Firestone location to confirm these findings and after confirming, they allowed the vehicle to drive off without concern. This is an important part of the suspension system that has a stipped main frame bolt.
This location has been horrid with customer service over the past six months. The GM has confirmed two separate appointment times prior to this alignment which was never upheld when I brought my vehicle in. The appointments weren't even written down, nobody knew anything and suggested I wait for three hours in line both times.
Desired outcome: Firestone pays for the damages caused and repairs. Firestone covers the cost of new tires that are now balding due to the failed alignment. Repairs will be done by the dealership or trusted maintenance shop other than Firestone.
rack and pinnon
I've been a long time Firestone customer and I really appreciate the military discount. The only issue that I've had with Firestone before was with a store in Washington state regarding brakes. I went to the store located at 221 S Range Line Rd, Joplin, MO 6480 to address a tremor. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The technician identified and replaced ball joints and front u joints, and a new rack and pinion was ordered. I returned to the store on May 27th to get the rack and pinion installed. After waiting a half hour, I was told the parts were not in yet. The part didn't arrive until June 9th. After it was installed, I brought the truck back to Firestone that day to get an error code cleared.
The tremor issue continued after the new rack and pinion was installed and the error code remained. I brought the truck back to the store on June 13th. After waiting over four hours I was told that Firestone could not clear the code and it would need to be brought to a Chevy dealership for reprograming. The original tremor issue was still not addressed but believed to be caused by the torque converter. I expressed my frustration to the Firestone rep, who said that he would speak with the manager John Stamm.
Since the Firestone rep at the store said that the Joplin dealership would not be able to get my truck in for about three weeks, I took it to Springfield. They successfully reprogramed and addressed the code in about thirty minutes, and an appointment was set up to address the torque converter issue. I went back to Firestone and was refunded for the charge from the Chevy service center. I asked if the manager had said anything about my frustration at having to spend my time and money to address something that Firestone could not complete. He stated that the manager had left earlier that day.
I've worked in the automotive collision repair business, and I understand that it is not always easy to pinpoint an issue and that things aren't always delivered on time. What is irritating is spending a large amount of time and money and having to follow the task through to completion myself.
Josh Rolls
Desired outcome: I think that Firestone should compensate for burdening a customer with something related to a job that they could not complete.
Rebate on spending money on my credit card
Sorry I am very upset I in good faith believed your clerk at Firestone store at 11327 Hull Street Midlothian Va I purchased four tires in Jan 2022 was told I would receive a visa gift card for spending so much money never happened I called many times after March 30th to give it time to be procssed no result then they told me the district manager would be contated sent numerous emails no result what knd of way is that to treat a customer of 20 years
Desired outcome: expect to get my visa gift card

I initially brought my car in on 5-30-22 (I had an 8:00 am appointment), at the Firerstone (Store# 021458) on McChord AFB, Wa. I have a 2008 Chrysler 300. I needed my brakes and wheel sensor checked. After the mechanic checked those items out, I was told I had a leak in one of my wheels' axle shafts. Well, I didn't have any more time to wait, so I told Mr. Mario I would reschedule for the following Monday. When went home I called and changed it to Thursday, then I called back and changed it to Saturday morning. When I scheduled the appointment for Saturday I told the person who took the message I wanted to have my brakes changed, the seal fixed and replace the wheel sensor. I dropped my car off at 7:33 am, my appointment was for 8:00 am. I called around 12:00 noon to check on the progress and Mr. Mario said because they had the car, they would be getting to it before the day was out. My wife called around 2:00 pm and he was a little rude to her. Instead of him giving her an update he told her he had already talked to me. You never tell a customer that. I paid over a thousand dollars on that brake job. He should show a little customer service. They still had not started working on my vehicle. When my wife and son picked up the car, before 6:00 pm, only the brakes were done. Mr. Mario claimed they sent the wrong seals and they didn't have the sensor for my wheel. My car was there the whole day and they didn't get to nothing but my brakes. I had a 8:00 am appointment, my car
should have been the first one worked on that day.
Desired outcome: I was trying to get this work done and not have to worry about it. There is nothing I can think of to rectify this. I could take it back, so they can finish the work, but I'm not sure I trust them to do a good job.

On 5/26/2022 I went to Firestone on 1666 Boston Rd. Springfield Ma around noon . First I am a good customer. No one other than them service my truck or cars for the last
15 years and spent thousands of dollars at this location. Till today service has always been good and in some cases outstanding! I mentioned the above fact to Dan, sorry to say I believe he's the manager, his response was: Good for you
His attitude at this point was disrespectful and condescending. As demonstrated by the fact I told him I could not understand everything he was saying. Again his curt replay and this is a quote " Get over here." In it self the response was disrespectful, compounded by the fact I need a cane to walk with because of failing health. Maybe he needs a class in empathizing with the customer. Note he also keep working at the computer with no eye connect. There are other things he said but this should suffice to demonstrate the poor
service and attitude. This all because I mentioned being upset about the poor quality tire they sold me putting my and my families safety at risk. I bought a
Continental tire which though only now has 20000 miles on it, the sidewall is degrading with splits developing 3 separate areas. Again because of my health my truck only has 23000 miles on it, most of which was done before my health declined.
Next I was told not his responsibility showing a definite disregard for my
concerns or needs.
If you're concerned, I don't threaten, this is merely an advance notice , if not handled in a timely manner, I will be notifying the Massachusetts Department of the Disabled only have not contacted
them as of yet is the good will built by Dan's predecessors who were always concerned, professional and accommodating .
Desired outcome: apology from manager stating how he treated metire replacementand donation to my favorite charity in my name
Tires
So today on 5/24/22 I brought my 2015 Ford fusion to firestone on 12th street and bell because my mechanic could not find where the air was leaking from the firestone brand tire that was sold to me in 2020. When my mechanic called firestone, firestone explained to my mechanic that the tire was under warranty and would be covered. After dropping off the car we received a call and an invoice that states it was not covered and we would actually end up owing over $200 for the tire and service to replace it. After asking why we were going to have to pay for it when we had a 50,000 mile warranty and only had 20,000 miles on the tire they explain that the tread on the tire was too low and it voided the warranty. When I asked them what was wrong with the tire and where the leak was coming from nobody at firestone could tell me where the leak was actually coming from. I explained that the tire must have been a faulty tire and there should be an exception made with no visible damage or air leak Dean stated there was nothing they could do and I would have to pay. The 2015 Ford fusion hybrid is a front wheel drive car and so there’s no way to of peeled out to west down the tread off more than the rest of the tires so I explain to Dean the manger that my mechanic couldn’t find the leak firestone couldn’t find the leak all three other tires were good but then this tire that had this mystery leak and the tread was too worn down and they should honor the warranty. Dean said he would not be able to honor the warranty. I agreed to pay for the tire. When I went in to pick up the car I looked at the tires outside and noticed that they all look significantly low and so I went in to pay for the service and asked Dean the manager if the pressure in the tires had been checked before they were going to allow my wife to take the car and go pick my kids up from school. He explain to me yes they had been checked and I insisted that he go check them again. He asked the service tech to go check the tires and I followed. I asked the tech what the first tire read and the tech replied that the first tire that he checked at 21 psi and when I asked what it was supposed to have in it he replied it was supposed to have 35 psi. The second tire he checked was also extremely low same with the third and same with the fourth tire. Dean the manager at firestone was about to send my wife off to pick my kids up from school with 4 dangerously low tires and had I not noticed and questioned their work my wife and kids could have easily gotten into a horrible accident and could’ve been seriously injured or even killed. I recorded the entire conversation from the minute I walked into firestone and started speaking to Dean all the way through the tech telling me how low each tire was. I have it all on tape. I highly recommend that nobody go to fire stone because this is not the first time that something like this is happened and they are putting peoples lives at risk with their careless work and service.
Desired outcome: I would like my money refunded and want to warn other people that they should be careful and think twice when taking their vehicle here with such recklessness regard for the safety of its customers.

Hello,
My Name is Damon Plumides in Charlotte N.C at [protected]. We have a Firestone account under my wife's name Rhiannon Hendren, where we have had plenty of service work in the past at the 13834 Steel Creek Rd. location. We have a 2013 KIA Soul that stopped and wouldn't start last week, so I had it towed to that location to see what the problem was. After they got around to looking at it, I was called and told my engine had seized up and needed a new engine. I was also told that Firestone did not do engines. I have a mechanic we have had for many years, but he only accepts cash. I had it towed to him and began looking for a used engine. These are very hard to find right now and very expensive. I found one here in Charlotte for $2,900 with 89,000 miles on it and he said he would put it in for $600. I went to the bank and took out a personal loan to buy and pay for it. The engine was paid for and set to be delivered to him when he called me and said he took the engine out like I asked him to but there was nothing wrong with it. I cancelled the purchase of the used engine. He said I needed a starter and a clutch. I ordered a starter online for $110 and got a clutch for $230 at Advance Auto. He had to put my engine back in with the other repairs, but he saved me quite a bit of money. I of course had to pay extra for him to put the engine back in. I would like to know Firestone's thoughts on this as you almost cost me $3,500 for your mistake. By the way the car is fixed already, and I picked it up yesterday after I dropped off the parts 9 and picked it up at 2:30. I can be reached at [protected].
