Food City Disappointing Experience at Food City #774

As a frequent shopper at Food City #774, I must say that my recent experiences have been quite disappointing. The customer service seems to have taken a hit, with instances of mishandled online orders and a lack of professionalism in dealing with customers. It's disheartening to witness a decline in the quality of service and the overall atmosphere of the store. I hope to see improvements soon to regain my trust in this establishment.

Two weeks after your grand opening I received coupons to use on the day of the grand opening. And they were expired. Thanks, a lot. Also no one knows how the gas points work. We have read the rules on it and that was so vague. We have talked to employees and each one was wrong. This complaint according to the website is too short. So, I guess I can Ieave it as is or write a bunch of non-sense.

Food City No limits being posted on items and ringing up items I did not purchase.

I shopped at Food City 663 in greeneville Tn. On 6/2/24 at 11:19 am. The clerk added 2.61 lbs of bulk seedless grapes to my order at 3.49/lb. I bought it before I payed a manager came over an said he took it off but when I checked my receipt it was still on there. So I paid $9.10 for something I did not purchase or receive. Also they had 6 packs of Pepsi products on sale but 2 get 2 free. No limit is posted in store or on their sales ad. So I got 12 6 packs and wound paying full price for 8 of the 6 packs. The ad clearly says must buy 4 6 packs to receive the buy 2 get 2 free. It says nowhere that you can only get 4 per transaction.

Claimed loss: $37.10

Desired outcome: I wish to be reimbursed and if there is a limit on items that are on sale then it needs to be stated.

Food City Fairfield glade store

In Crossville TN, it's a Tale of Two Cities! Food City in Crossville and the Food City in Fairfield Glade.

I'm witting about the Fairfield Glade store. This store by far in my opinion might as well be an IGA or Save-A-Lot. The management is nowhere to be found. Ever!

I tried to speak to someone the other day about this issue, but as usual, when I needed a manager, they sent a kid from customer service...who by the way did a great job. Blonde kid curly hair.

I've attached 3 pictures of what the problem is and how nobody seems to care because one of these 3 machines is always down.

If it were just this one incident, I would say nothing, but this store is so bad that we will drive to the Crossville store because it is outstanding. And it's not just us...a lot of people here in Fairfield feel the same and do the same.

Desired outcome: The store needs help...especially at the top. Just wish I could shop there instead.

Food City Gift cards

I purchased 2 arbys gift cards at foodcity#667 2= $50.00 gift cards and they did not activate the cards . I have my reciept and the store manager said i was just out of luck ,they would not make thim up . Now i am out $100.00 i will never bye enything else from foodcity if this problem is not took care of. The asst. Store manager was the ruudest man i have ever talked to. Food City Employee complaint/manager night shift

On Saturday November 12,2023 I visited the foodcity off of Clinton hwy /Merchants rd. I walked into the store at approximately 8:50 pm..I immediately noticed that the officer that patroles and does security,Is sitting out front of the store and I immediately wave hello to him..I walk straight to the manager a heavy set lady in a skirt who is standing at the middle register observing all the self pay checkout,so I politely ask her if I could leave my two back packs upfront while I shop if she keep an I on it while I shopped an grabbed a few things she say yes no problem so I proceeded to go grab the few things I needed.I spent approximately 25 to 30 imitates mainly look at my twin sisters a birthday card9for their birthday on the 18.As I went to check our and pay for my items she came running at me and ask ihe two bags were mine and I said yes and she screamed getout you had rigs and drugs in your bags and they fell out when she moved them.First of all I have a needle e xchabge card and I'm legally able to caring a as many as I want but I don't even have any of them in me all I have is a narcan needle and the vile which I carry religiously since 5of my close friend have .OD N DIED,I ALSO HAD A SYRINGE dropper with no needle point that I use to feed 3 baby mice I found just. Fewdays old I was actually buying formula or trying to when she yelled at me and embarrassed me I. Front of God and everybody and humiliated me.She took it upon herself to open up my nags bc I told her that I had a gold nevklce and ring 14k that was very sentimental to me and stole it out of my bag and created a false accusation against me and made me leave the store immediately and banned me and yelled for the police officer to remove me from there bc I was trying n to check my bags to see what was gone and show them what she was calling a syringe so I could not put her on blast for what she had done .the officer asked me to leave and I said I would bu I told him common sense do you think I stupid enough to leave a bag full of rigs and drugs u zipped woh the main manager and the police sitting directly out front why I go shopping around for 30 45 minutes.I walked to the top of the road off foodcity property and saw she had taken the gold necklace and ring .I don't have any proof of other than your cameras my bags were zipped and she got in my personal stuff.This is ridicules and I want her to loose her job I'm filing. Police

Food City Opening up registers

This morning and every morning,at the Newport Tennessee store 604,three trys this morning to check put self electronic. Really three trys,with glory Kathyanf a new women helping me.It absolutely makes your store ,your employees and you as a CEO, look like idiots. WHY IN THE WORLD AT 8AM, At least two registers are not open ,babbles me...lol OMG really three people staring at you.I seen some very stupid decision in my 65,year,of life.I myself have made a few,myself. BUT GOSH,WHAT IN THE WORLD. Iam begging you to please open these registers.

Food City The 4 Riding carts.

I’m complaining about the Hazard Ky. Food City’s lack of carts for Handicapped persons.

I am a 70 year old female . My husband and I have been very loyal shoppers for many years. I have become unable to walk so having the carts in the store allows me to shop for the things my household needs.

As of October 22, 2023 (Sunday) I went to Food City where my husband was told they only had one working cart . None of the others would hold a charge among other things.

I’m hoping that Food City will step up and quickly replace the Four. (4) carts we have always had. Our store uses all 4 carts. I have sat in my car for 30 minutes or more to get a cart. , that I can do when all 4 carts are working.

Please sirs provide our store with 4 more carts.

No one will ever know how it feels , or how hard it is until you loose your ability to walk. You lost part of your dignity and almost all of your independence.

Food City Food city scalloped potatoes

The sign said 10 for 10. When I got to the register it did not ring up. It rang up $1.50. the guy was a little arrogant and told me that the sale starts tomorrow. They put the tags up today. Well that's not my problem. If there is a sign with a certain price the customer she get it. This is not the first time over the last 6 months. Every time I turn around something rings up wrong every single week at least three times. I've lost so much money there. I can guarantee you I will never go back. Over the last 6 months I've calculated on my receipts that I have 36 in prices. They did not give me when the sign was clearly marked and I have pictures. The people you have working there are not nice at all. I can go to Walmart and have friendlier faces with better prices. Y'all need to seriously look at this store I would like a phone call back some resolution to all the money I've been losing since I've been shopping there.

Food City Food city Worker

Yes I come into middlesboro kentucky foodcity almost daily and everytime I do I go through self check out and when I do there's always some extremely slow heavy set girl there and she has a bad smell to her. I thought employees where supposed to have good hygiene or has that went downhill with the covid pandemic! I almost want to wear my mask because the smell is so bad and not to mention again she is really slow and all she wants to do is talk about her health problems

Food City Manager. Way they handled my situation

I'm calling to complain about the self, check out cashier and the manager on duty today. The food city on 19th Avenue in Indian school in Phoenix, Arizona period I went through the line twice and it was shift changed so the first time was with an older lady, and the second time was a younger girl period she asked me if I paid for my hangers in my soda. I told her. Yes, she asked me for the receipt. I could not find a receipt. I had bags from next door I had other food city bags and I had 2 purses period I understand the girl was doing her job so I stepped aside and asked if we could speak to a manager period I figured they've gotta be able to pull up the past receipts. Since it's been 10 minutes has gone by. You can easily pull up those self, check out, keep. Dust and see what exactly had been purchased that day period every employee came up and surrounded me. One gentleman was going through the trash. Another one was Going Out front. And this is for 2 to 12 packs and hangers. They said that I need to provide a receipt for those 3 items period I was so embarrassed I ended up handing them the sodas and telling them to give it to their staff once they realized that the stuff wasn't stolen period A big native or Mexican girl grabbed my arm in my cart. Proceeded to pull the hangers out and started to pull other bags. I grabbed my cart, pushed it against myself and said. Excuse me, don't touch my. My items. Once outside I located my receipt and gave it to security officer. If I was the MOD I would I f chanced me out apologizing for the way it was handled. Y I yr employees embarrassed me in front of neighbors, other parents, my sun's friend and myself. You will Beverly see me At Food City again. Re train all

Food City The new bar in cartersville

I love the new Food City in Cartersville, Ga!

My girlfriend and I live close by so it’s very convenient. We especially enjoy going to the Food City Bar while we shop and have a couple of cold ones! It takes the sting out of the price of groceries now days. However, lately, the bartender is never there and the bar is ALWAYS closed. I have come to find out that this store is short staffed and they have been putting her up front to take care of the cashiers and not allowing her to open the bar. I would like to formally complain that the bar is never open because the store manager won’t let her do the job she was hired to do. I am very disappointed in this and please please please! Put the bartender back in the Food City bar !

Food City Service that was received👎👎

was in the checkout line on 9-2-2023 @ 11:34am.. . the cashier Suhair looked at me in discuss,and all I did was smile and said hey how you doing? and she had the most discussed look on her face towards me the whole time she rang up my items, , I admit , I'm a hard working man that gets a little dirty bc I'm a mechanic, but I wasn't even dirty, I mean my clothes might be stained from working, but there was no need for Suhair , a young darker skin nationality to be so disrespectful, I was never disrespectful towards her! and when it came time to receive my change back for my purchase, I held my hand out nicely, and she held her hand above my hand probably a good 5 to 6 inches above my hand, and she basically just dropped it with force towards my hand and the change went every where, .and she stepped back, never said sorry or anything, it was a rather embarrassing situation, I'm kinda got the feeling it was bc I am a White Male! and I don't appreciate your employee, being disrespectful towards me bc she has a problem with my race.im a hard working man, and I enjoy shopping at Food City, but when I get disrespected bc y'all's employee is acting as if they are racist towards a white person, its wrong in so many ways! I've lived in Ringgold GA, nearly my whole life and food city opened up just a few miles down from where I live . it's a bummer that it crosses over into Ooltewah ,TN, and have to pay the TN. tax, but i cant really complain to much on that, just glad the store was finally brought closer to home. but , I did not know that y'all hire racist cashier's to be disrespectful to the customers!? I was checking out at the self checkout machines. After ringing up my items, it came to a total of $26.32 I ran my debit card as my payment for these purchases, it then started going really slow to the point the machine where you ring up the food froze completely. Food City Value card fuel bucks

I made two trips because I was close to a Value Card Fuel Bucks. On the first visit, I was close to having the 150 points needed for a Gas & Go fuel visit, so I made a second trip to get the needed 150 points for a gas visit.

I have both receipts to show my efforts.

I had one fuel bucks visit showing on my second receipt for the day.

I made the trip to Gas & Go to get fuel and use the Value Card fuel bucks and when I tried to use the card, it said no discounts available. I asked the attendant to look, and he said there was only 103 fuel bucks point and no discounts can be given. I called the Store # 632, and the young manager was very rude telling me I only had the 103 points and I asked about the receipt when he got really short with me & said he had other customers.

This needs attention or I will make sure not return and I will let others know the issues I have had.

Food City Texas Style Buttermilk Biscuits

I purchased 3 cans of the Texas Style Buttermilk biscuits last week, July 10th. two of the 3 cans have exploded. One of the cans exploded in my refrigerator, made a big mess. The other exploded as I started to peel off the wrapper. Again a big mess. Had I been holding the can close to my body/face I could have been hurt. Expiration date on cans is 7/21/2023. This is not the first time I have experienced this issue with these biscuits. Earlier in the Spring I got some that did this. I made pictures of the can showing the expire date and also of the mess it made on my counter.

Desired outcome: Inspect plant where made. Better controls should be implemented. A refund would be appreciated.
