The next day my wife who was withe me called thee food city manager my wife told her everytheing and thee manager said she would review thee video tape theen call us back, it is now Tuesday night and no call back. Wow! TWO people had the cajones to take credit for that mess of a complaint! I wouldn't want my name on it at all!

harassment
I've been working at the Newport, TN Food City for 2 years. Since i started, I've been harassed and picked at by the head cashier named Cathy. She's made the job a nightmare for me. Last year she accused me of having my cell phone while on the clock (it was in my locker) and searched me for it in front of the customers and other employees. When i complained to the store manager about it, he said he would talk to her about it, which resulted in her cutting my hours from 15 down to 3 hours a week. Recently she sent me home 3 hrs early and threatened me with my job because I didn't tell her to have a good day when she came through my line on her lunch break. This woman is nothing but a bully and needs to be reprimanded in some way.

Or maybe you need to quit your job until you are more mature?
rude cashier
While my daughter and I were shopping at our local Food City in Lebanon Virginia we were treated very badly by the cashier. We had decided to buy four candy bars so we could come home and make treats, while checking out my daughter was laying the candy bars on the counter and the cashier ripped them from her hands, my daugher is three years old, I would...

While purchasing beer, I showed the cashier my drivers license which were in a plastic see through in my bill fold. I told her my birth date 11-25-46 which could be seen all but the 46. When I told her to release my wallet which she had grasped from my hand, she asked did I want to see a manager and I said yes. When he arrived, he began to explain the law in Tn which I already knew. He did not seem to understand the actual problem or give me time to explain it was the cashier grabbing my wallet which upset me. The young lady was totaly without tact and has much to learn about cutomer relations as she appeared to be somewhat hostile and lacking in social graces. I have shopped at this particular food city location for seven years but I am seriously debating ever going back.

I am a customer and she is rude and sour to everyone...maybe that is how she got promoted - got her off the cashier line :)
employee complaint
At Food City # 664 in Kingsport, Tennessee there is a woman by the name of Sue Selby who is the head cashier at this grocery store. This woman is the most vile, bitter, bullying person I have ever met so far. She treats her cashiers, baggers and front end managers like they are lower than the ground she walks on. I know because I have worked there for three...
