brand new frigidaire (1 minute old) gas range purchased from the brick (thunder bay, ontario, canada) has non-functional broiler (will not light)
Sept. 19, 2018, gas range installed by technician, everything but top broiler lights up, and as a result technician will not certify installation for non-functional gas appliance. 'the brick' can't/won't do anything for a week or two. the only warranty technician is up to his eyeballs in work. if this is the quality of frigidaire products and service we will demand our money back and be ever so happy to tell others of our satisfaction with our experience. don't you people test your products before letting them out the factory door ? so what do I cook on for two (or more) weeks ? what if you bought a brand new truck and it conked-out 5 minutes after being bought and service/warranty/dealer said to you, " well, we will get on this in few weeks (maybe) and until then walk or take the bus ?
no one seems to have parts in thunder bay for this range either, except by ordering, from somewhere. pretty shoddy experience for the price paid for this product. More experiences like this by more people, and judging by the internet complaints about the company/products/service, you may not be in business much longer with so many bad reviews. PLEASE DO SOMETHING AND HELP. THANK-YOU.

Having purchased an unfurnished home 8 years ago, we needed to find a new refrigerator/freezer, range, and microwave.
The deal we found on a trio of Frigidaire ‘Gallery' appliances, at a major home improvement box store, seemed too good to be true. A year after our ‘investment', we realized the deal WAS too good to be true.
I kick myself in the [censored], now, every time I interact with one of these cheap pieces of crap!
The range is a tinny box. The storage drawer doesn't hold much more than the griddle and a couple of baking trays. The oven racks are tipsy, and L-O-U-D, everytime the oven door is opened. The oven burner ignites with a WOOF...every time.
The microwave's door handle came loose with infrequent and light use, as the lower mounting screw pulled completely through the brittle plastic, and out the over-sized mounting hole.
And, the refrigerator/freezer?! OMG!
The water dispenser hose is mounted at an angle. The ‘Cubed' ice comes out ‘Crushed' more times than not. The drip tray is so shallow, any water misdirected by the mal-mounted water dispenser hose is immediately splashed onto any unsuspecting user, and/or the floor. The shelves/baskets in the freezer mount so flimsily that any lateral movement results in the shelf, and its contents, falling free to the shelf/basket below. The bottom well of the freezer constantly fills with water from a terrible design flaw with the condensation hose. The water then freezes, filling the well which results in subsequent water flowing over the ice, seeping through the door seal...ruining any non-masonry floor one might have. You should see our, otherwise pristine, bamboo floor. We're constantly placing/replacing (prying, is more the appropriate word) towels in the well to try to absorb the water. But...go on vacation for more than a week, or two? Disaster.
All-in-all? I wish I'd have known, then, what I know, now.
DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!
ps: How happy am I that we didn't need a dishwasher!
My 7 year old Frigidaire Gallery refrigerator, which I bought along with the matching stove and microwave is rusting out on the back panel. The metal is so thin I could probably push my finger through it. I was told by a Frigidaire rep there's nothing they can do about it so I called a repair service and they said there is no fix for it. If I have to replace it I won't buy another one and I'll be stuck buying a fridge that doesn't match the set. Buyer beware. I also know I'm not the only one with this same problem and Frigidaire won't own up to it.

Purchased new Frigidaire refrigerator from Lowes in Ormond Beach, FL on May 5, 2017
Defective Liner noticed in December 2017 Noticed a tear in the liner at bottom of refrigerator on main base where the door shelves perhaps were cutting in to when closing. Service tech came out under warranty and Taped it... then again on December 21 another crack appeared and they came and Taped that one as well. It is now September 2018 and there is another one! Several inches long. Frigidaire tells me. when I paid for my extended warranty, I didn't pay the sales tax. What?! You have to pay that separately? You don`t collect it at the same time? So I pay it and then call them back a week later to check on status and now they say lady in back office did it wrong... gave me a 1 day warranty on accident and to call them back again in 3 days. I requested a New refrigerator and not a third tape repair in which I was told no. I am seriously considering hiring an attorney to handle this for me. I have owned refrigerators for over 50 years, also worked in an appliance store for several years. This is a Defective Product! I would like to return this item and receive a refund...

I bought a Frigidaire under the counter wine refrigerator in July 2017. Last night I opened the refrigerator from the top horizontal handle. The right side of the handle popped off causing the left part of the handle to rotate clockwise slicing my hand open. I went to the emergency room and received 5 stitches! The edge that sliced open my hand is incredibly sharp and dangerous. This appliance is a danger to all those who have it in their home.

fridge/frigidaire
We bought this fridge from Home Depot at the end of July on my husband, John Buckley's Home Depot credit card. (see below for Home Depot order number, and fridge serial number and model number) We paid $698.40 for it. It was delivered in early August. My husband was in the middle of renovating the kitchen, so did not plug it in right away. We now have it up and running but having a problem with the amount of noise it makes. It's so loud, we can hear it with our bedroom door closed. I have had a few fridges in my life but never experienced anything like this. This is not normal or acceptable, and we should not have to live with it. I spoke with a representative of your company and explained the problem, to which she responded that if a service person comes and does not hear the noise I will be charged for that appointment. The noise is intermittent (when the motor runs), so may or may not happen when he's here. What are we supposed to do ? How can we remedy this situation? I spoke with 2 people at Home Depot in the last hour, and 2 at Electrolux. No one seems willing to take responsibility for the problem.
We would like you to honor the warranty policy that came with our purchase.
We would like to return this fridge.
We are willing to buy another fridge, perhaps even an upgrade.
Please contact us as soon as possible to resolve this issue.
Thanking you in advance,

side by side refrigerator freezer with ice maker.
This is an ongoing prolem since April of this year. At that time we started having problems with the ice maker. I called and they was to find some one in the Walkerville michigan area to come and fix it. No one in our area to work on them.next they were to replace the unit. Ater 3 or 4 weeks they deliver one and it was damaged. After 3 refrigerators that all came damaged I began to get suspicious. The people at the help center are not helpful and i ask to speak to a supervisor. I though she was really helping but I was wrong. I tried to tell her that your delivery people were damaging it after they found out they had to bring it up 4 steps and take the doors off to get it in. Last thursday they were to deliver the 4th refrigerator at came at 8:30 in the evening. When they got here I went out and ask if they brought me a good one this time. Oh yes they said. When they lowered it out of the truck everything looked good. They ask to see where it went. I showed them through garage up 4 steps to kitchen. They pulled out the refrigerator to unplug it and shut off water. I was on the other side waitng and they were gone. I went out to the truck and they were both standing by the new one talking and looking back at me. I went out and all of the sudden 2 poke holes on the handles and all scratched. This was done on purpose i feel just like the others because they did not want to work. Each of these times i have to reload my refrigerator and push it back in. My name is Robert Falnery. 6900 n 168th ave. Walkerville mi. 49459. Phone is [protected]. We had a house fire and lost everything. We purchased this home from Freemont homes in freemont mi. This is the refrigerator that came with the home. I know you have all that information on your computer along with the fact they gave us a 6 month extension on warranty because this has taken so long. Now the ice maker will not work and leaks on the floor. I have contacted Scott at Fremont homes about this. I will hope that whoever reads this will take care of this issue imediatly. A very dissatisfied person. This is all un called for. Robert Flanery.
fridge
We bought a Frigidaire fridge, Stove and Dishwasher in 2016 at Lowes. After 6 months the fridge stopped working and needed a compressor and it was fixed. Two weeks ago the ice maker quit working and we had it fixed. Now this past week the fridge stopped cooling again! We called the 800 number and he said that it will be very expensive for parts and labor to fix it and plus no one could come out to fix it until August 30! I will never EVER buy another Frigidaire appliance again! Very UNHAPPY! I would like to be request a refund for the fridge. This fridge should last manys years not two years.

Yesterday morning I cancelled my order with Fahima, a cashier in JC Penney Thousand Oaks Store, California.
Because they failed to deliver the Frigidaire refrigerator to my condo at 7:30-10:30 am as promised. Then their delivery to be delayed for one week. My tenant could not wait simply.
1) I requested for a cancellation number for my record or proof, but they said they don't even have such a thing.
2) Immediately I requested to give credit to my Visa Card account, but they refused to do so. They said I have to wait for 7-10 business day. Why?

frigidaire refrigerator purchased may 2018 at lowes. model # lftr2032tf1.
Refrigerator is under warranty and stopped cooling in mid-August. Additionally, a puddle of water was easily visible at the back of the refrigerator unit. Customer called contracted service provider Qdexcyma Technologies at 50 Duncan Drive in North Andover MA at telephone number [protected]. On Thursday, August 16th technician conducted a service call. The field service report stated that he removed ice build-up and dust. The unit still did not cool. The next day, Friday, August 17th, customer called Qdexcyma and informed them that the unit was still not working. Customer was told she would schedule an appointment with the technician. On Monday, August 20th customer called Qdexcyma at 10:15 am and was on hold for 30 minutes and then had to end call as he had a doctor's appointment. Customer called back at 12:48 pm that day and was told that the technician would call me to schedule an appointment. Two days later, Wednesday, August 23nd as of 3 pm customer had received no call from the technician or Qdexcyma. At this point, we have lost food, money and patience and the desired outcome to this complaint is a refund for the full cost of the appliance and delivery, which was $704.
refrigerator freezing food in vegetable tray and ice in back of bottom freezer
Purchased 10/23/2017. Model # FPBS2777RFD serial # 4A73004245 client # [protected].July 17-18 repair came called Electrolux was told to replace 6 parts due to veggie tray freezing my vegetables. Also ice in back of bottom freezer. On 7-31 parts were replace. I had to unload all my food both in top and bottom freezer and turn unit off to defrost for 24 hours prior. Last week noticed it was doing the same thing except worse. Called electrolux and they sent the repairman back today, 8-23-18. He called service department and was told to replace all parts once again! This meaning I had to unload, store, and reload this unit. I called Electrolux and told them I wanted a replacement unit or a refund, I was then sent to your escalation department. Spoke to corporate supervisor and was told unit would have to have new parts installed again. And only when unit was deemed unrepairable could a possible replacement for the unit be done. Was offered an additional 6 months warranty. I am so aggravated about this whole process because this is the second Frigidaire refrigerator I have purchased with problems. I had to replace the last one with this unit in order to gain part of my money for the previous one back due to not finding the big hole in the back of it until it was a month out of warranty. I feel like I was coerced into buying this unit to start with! I want a full refund so I can purchase a brand I want or a new unit!
refrigerator defrost thermostat broken
Purchased new fridge in June 2012 for a second home. Used it 2.5 months out of the year, unplugged rest of the year.
Last week fridge was overheating. Waited one week for repair to come out. Was told it needed a new Bi-metal defrost thermostat. Will take 7-10 days for it to arrive, which means no fridge for another 7-10 days which is very difficult in this hot/humid NE weather.
Needed to speak with manager who told me basically too bad we can't help you cause you didn't purchase the warranty or extended warranty. Best she could do would give us 30% of the part which would save me all of $3.00 and the part was back ordered and would not arrive until August 31 and would then take 7-10 business days to ship. If I wanted expedited shipping, I would have to pay. Mgr kept telling me we should buy the extended warranty and that is why they offer their 30%.
I now need to call back the appliance center, pay their price, which is double, along with all the service and labor costs for a total of $300 for a fridge that was used literally 1 year while the rest of the time is was unplugged and not used.
I asked if they could at least pay the labor and service fees, and they basically told me they would never do that and they could offer me the 30% off the part.
I am not even going to get into the rust on both runners of the freezer. don't have money to pay for that in addition to the refrigerator.
refrigerator
I purchased a Frigidaire refrigerator (model LFTR2032TF) that has required multiple repair calls on the new appliance. The same problem, where the bottom refrigerator part stops cooling, keeps occurring. The temperature is about 60 degrees or higher. Various new parts have been installed in the appliance with the repair lasting less than a month. I need a working refrigerator.

Rita, ( Believe you are the one intercepting Mr. Shaw's Emails)
Can you at least forward the attached Pictures over to Mcglaughlins Service, Hoping that maybe someone for Mcglaughlins is smart enough to determine a suspected part that could resolve this issue. As I mentioned
several times I have missed 4 days of work and now what looks to be another 2 Days. Feb. 12th PM would be a Good Day because I am already off for a Doctors appointment in the am.

I just received a call and the below response back from Customer care. I have already had to take 4 days off from work. And the next steps Frigidaire could cost me another 2 days from work. I sent Picture so that your tech support could looks at,
Reading some online reviews this is a common issue. Your tech support should be able to guesstimate what parts could cause the issue and make sure the service tech has with him and or send me the parts to replace. If the service tech has possible cause parts with him this could save me a day from taking off work. If your Factory Tech Support cannot distinguish probable cause and parts to try by the picture so Service tech
can have with him on next visit I strongly urge that Frigidaire send a replacement compatible model Refrigerator from one of the Local Home Appliance stores in my area. (Lowes) I have had several Email correspondence with Social Care, Tech Support, Valerie Money and someone today on behalf of Valerie. (Didn't write her name down)
Your help and consideration in this matter will be greatly appreciated.

Your pictures have been reviewed and it’s determined that water is leaking into your icemaker container. This will require having one of our authorized service providers diagnose further. I have sent your file over to our Service Locator Department so that they can locate a servicer for you. They will be in contact with you within the next 24-48 business hours.

Frididaire,
My last correspondence I sent on Jan 29th with Pictures of how the Ice Maker was making ice and again I resent on the 30th because your reply from the email on the 29th mentioned nothing
about the Pictures I sent and next steps ? I have re attached the Pictures please forward to your Tech support on a cause and repair solution. Also Could you forward this to Valerie Money.
She had left me a Voice Mail to ask how the Repair went on January 28th as you can see from the Pictures something is still not right. I had mentioned this to the technician at two of his visits.
Jan 29th Email with Pictures Attached (No Comment from Frigidaire)
Received a voice message asking about the repair. (Valerie Money)They replaced the Fan. Too early to tell 100% if the repair was successful.
The fan was replaced yesterday. This is the second fan replace since early December. See attached pictures on how it’s making ice. Brought this up to technician twice this was also issue.
This is not how it should be making ice.

Bought Last Spring. Broke down Late November early December. Took over 8 Days to have repaired . Broke down again Christmas Eve again. Over 23 Days and still not repaired. Think it’s time Frigidaire step up to the plate and replace refrigerator. Don’t recommend anyone to purchase Frigidaire Products. Days lost at work exceeded what I paid for refrigerator and still need to lose more time from work because it’s still broken. Frigidaire should at least extend the Warranty on this product at no cost instead of sending me notices to purchase extended warranties. Not a happy customer. Very inconvenient not having a refrigerator over 2 months.
Jan 19th Email
Update on Poor Customer Service / Relations: Since Late November Early December I have been with out a refrigerator for Over 33 Days. First Repair it took over 8 days to repair. A week or so later it broke again and took 20 Days for a Service Tech to show up and Look at. Parts needed to be ordered, 6 days before service center received part but its going to take another 12 days before they can send someone out to replace part. Frigidaire need's to step up to plate and make things right and replace the refrigerator and have delivered from a local appliance store which could have me up and running in a day. All They have to offer is extend the warranty for 6 months maybe a $20 Value. I missed 3 days work plus will need to miss another day in 12 days again. I would not even rate Frigidaire a star but you have to put something their in order to submit a review. Looking at their extended warranties 3 year full coverage extended warranty is listed at $103.00 and all they offer me is 6 months for the loss in pay for having to take off and inconvenience of being with out a refrigerator for so long. Don't recommend anyone to do Business with Frigidaire.
microwave
My husband and I bought a new house in June of 2017. All new Frigidaire appliances. We had a problem with our microwave at the 10 month mark. Every time I boiled anything that created steam, the steam would leak into the door of the microwave...not inside the mircrowave but in the door which created about 50 cracks all inside the door. I was actually afraid to cook because I thought the steam would blow out the door. After many calls with Frigidaire, they paid for a new door but not the cost of installation by one of their recommended repair services. The repairman said it was definitely a defective door allowing the steam into the inside of the door.
I am very, very upset with Frigidaire not paying the $80 repair fee. The defect created a cosmetic problem so because the defect caused a cosmetic issue (50-60 cracks in the door) you wouldn't pay for the repair? Come on now, the door had a defect that actually stopped me from going anything on top of the stove. Frigidaire couldn't affor $80? The product was defective, did you get that? DEFECTIVE. Now that I have a new door, the problem hasn't happened again.
I am looking for the $80 refund. That is a weeks worth of food for me but a drop in the bucket for you.
Thank you

warranty issues
In July we plugged in a brand new Frigidaire refrigerator and after 2 days it was not cooling. I called Frigidaire and they gave me a # to call for service. AAA TV Cincinnati, Ohio. At the first service call they said it had no Freon and the service tech told them what needed to be done. The service person said it was not something he wanted to do because it was a 3-4 hr. job. After speaking with a Frigidaire customer service person they said it was what had to be done first. After waiting 2 weeks for the repair the service person could not make the repair work. He said it would be escalated to the next level and they would contact me within 2-3 days. I did not hear from them so I called both a Corporate manager and service dept. They said they only knew that it had been escalated to another dept. Tomorrow will be a week since that happened and we still have not heard anything about the replacement. We have been without a refrigerator for 3 weeks.
I consider this a health issue because there is no refrigeration.
refrigerator
LOWES sold my 80 year old mother a DEFECTIVE refrigerator and will not replace it. Frigidaire sent a repair person who identified that the unit was defective and probably dropped. My mother did not purchase the extended warranty and noticed the issue with the unit after 30 days and LOWES response was ... " sorry, call Frigidaire". Frigidaire said sorry... deal with LOWES. DON'T BUY APPLIANCES FROM Frigidaire... they are the LOWEST quality and they take advantage of 80 year old ladies.
There is no way anyone can determine how the unit was damage and neither LOWES or Frigidaire will do the right thing!
frigidaire
I purchased a refrigerator model number FFET1222QS and serial number KA62315658 in December of 2016. The compressor is broken and an authorized service person came to look at it. I brought it from Home Depot. I am told the compressor cannot be fixed. I have the receipt. I did not purchase an extended warranty but I'm sure that the compressor should last more than 18 months on a frig. I would like to have this one serviced or a new refrigerator. Please reach out at your earliest convenience in reference to this matter. My name is Jacqueline Glass and my email address is [protected]@yahoo.com
refrigerator/freezer (side by side)
10 days out of the extended warranty, a part failed, costing me $500 (June 2016). On July 1, 2017, oil clogged the compressor lines. The repair guy said it wasn't worth fixing as it would fail in 2 years anyway. So, after paying $1200 plus $500 (total $1700) for this POS appliance, I am having to purchase a new unit ($1800) after only 7 years. I am NEVER buying another Frigidaire product again. Oh, did I mention that one of the shelves broke after 1 year but wasn't covered by the warranty?
microwave
Only 1 year and 9 months and my microwave has stopped working. Someone came to fix it, still does not work. I call the company and nothing will be covered or replaced without a warranty. The product is worth 100 dollars more than labor costs. This does not make sense and I am very disappointed with this company, service, and product. Not even 2 years but of course it is more than 1 year so your company gets a customer to have to buy an entirely new product. I will not be using this again if this is how your products work.
