I have a 2016 chevy 3500 durmax that has 40000 miles just over the 36000. I was told the vehicle has a 100000 mile powertrain warranty. the vehicle developed a highly expensive component failure in the heater core assembly electrical and was told that it is not covered. I paid 60000 for this vehicle which is not broke in yet and have had a failure. That makes me question my continued commitment to GM.
30k mile maintenance - performing services not required of 30k maintenance
BEWARE of Dyer Chevrolet of Vero Beach Service Dept. SCAMS - Took my 2016 Traverse in for 30K maintenance and ended up with a Fuel injection flush or ?(No GM recommendation at any mileage), a coolant flush (GM recommends @150k, a transmission flush (GM recommends @45k). Unfortunately I did not read Chevy guide to see maintenance needed at 30k prior to going to appointment. By the time I thought of using my phone to look up GM recommended 30k maintenance.the tech was finishing up according to the Dyer advisor, Brandon Wells. He further stated that these flushes were needed because FL has severe weather conditions which according to GM and the Dyer person who called me is NOT true. The Dyer rep called in response to survey I returned to Dyer which I complained about the extra services their advisor said were necessary, I explained that I signed off on service because I did not want to void my extended maintenance contract. We reached an agreement that she would give me a credit for the coolant flush/replacement and the fuel injector flush and I would pay for transmission flush and brake flush. I asked her to send me an email to confirm our conversation after she talked to her manager, she didn't and I lost my notes.
Another cause for concern is whether the work was actually done given that coolant was not to be changed until 150k, Fuel Induction - I had no problems and GM has NO recommendation for this service, Transmission was to be done at 45k NOT 30k which causes another problem as Dyer told me to wait until 75k, but if it was not performed?
I had a good experience when I purchased my car from Dyer, but if you can not trust the service department it is not the place for me. Your spend a couple of hours purchasing the car, but the service department is for the life of your car.
I am also worried that Dyer was taking advantage of me because of my age and figured they could just sell me the additional services. In the long run making a few bucks off me they have lost a good customer and more than likely the sale of another car as my wife is looking to purchase an Equinox.
Not sure why I am getting this message to update complaint since I thought I was submitting the original
2017 impala premier
I bought this car at hubler chevy in Greenwood IN in dec of 2017 it had 6, 000 miles on it . I delt with service department on a few what I would call miner problem. But it turned out each time I was told something it never happened. I took my car in for their scheduled repairs multiple time without getting the repairs completed. I feel they wasted my time at least on five occasions. If your having some one in for repairs you should be prepaired they were not. I wasn't the one doing the scheduling they were. This is the worst customer service I've ever encountered at any dealership I've ever had and I told them so. I'm a gm buyer for the last 35 years but any company that lets a dealership get away with this type service will no longer have my business. They didn't even offer anything to see if they could make it right. I did talk to the service manager and all he said is I'm sorry to lose you as a customer. Very un happy customer of 35 plus years.

I have been in touch with both dealer and GM Canada. The dealer is sympathetic but won't do anything without authorization from GM. Customer care (call centre) has done nothing . They have not contacted the dealer service manager (who did the assessment as requested by GM call person) . My file was lost (filed under another name) lost my phone number and apparently were calling someone else. Automatic answer was there's nothing we can do and since have ignored my phone calls and not contacted me even after I requested to be put through to a manager - at the very least a GM employee. I am continuing to try and speak with someone who is not my assigned customer care "ambassador" and have also filed an arbitration request.

2014 chevrolet malibu
My car has been in my local shop (Rogers Dabbs located in Brandon, MS) three times for over the past weeks. I had taken my car in with the issue involving the radio going out and coming back on (April 4 to April 6). During this time it would disconnect the Bluetooth and change the channels. On the first time in the shop, I was told that I need a battery. I paid to replace the battery, picked up my car and within less than 5 days, the same issue was reoccurring. I called back and was told to bring the vehicle back in(April 13 to April 23). After several days, I was told that they couldn't duplicate the problem. So I pick up my vehicle again. Well, within 2 days it did it again. I called again and was told to bring it back in; however they didn't have a loaner so I returned my vehicle on that Wednesday 5/2 or 9. I had to call and my husband even went by to updates on my vehicle. Finally, on May 21, 2018, I called my advisor (Lisa) and told her that I was coming to get my vehicle and I did. On the morning of May 22, 2018, my husband was placing something in my trunk only to find that the battery located in the back was not connected. I called my advisor on 5/22/18 and explained that not only was the battery not connected, but wondered if this was the reasoning behind the fact that they couldn't duplicate the issue. My advisor spoke to the technician and I was told that the there was some codes that popped up; however the battery tested okay. I really would like a resolution to the issue. I don't know if the battery in the trunk will affect the performance of the vehicle so I am afraid to go to far in my vehicle. The dealership has been professional; however I still have the initial issue. Please advise.
stingray pdr
I've looked at a number of Corvette message boards and noticed a great number of people complaining about defective Performance Data Recorders. It appears the earlier equipped models shipped with defective screens. Dealership are unwilling to replace those devices even though I'm sure they're aware of the known issues with the 2015 and 2016 screens. I think it is unfair to saddle the consumer with a $2000+ repair. Those devices should have been recalled once GM learned of the problem
cadillac 2011 ctx
I am a General Motors Retiree. I had a 2011 cadillac CTX beautiful performance car. The oil was changed on the regular schedule basis according to manufacture guidelines and or warranty suggestions.
My oil was changed on March 20, I wanted to make sure all my fluids were topped off and a great wash for my up coming trip to visit my granddaughter at NCA&T University, on the 24th of March. When I arrived at the hotel I backed into a fence that caused damage to my rear bumper.
When I returned home I took my car to the Cadillac Dealership for repair, on April 30, 2018. When I went to pick the car up on April 7, 2018, the manger told me I could not drive the car home. WHY? Because the engine had seized, engine seized? How could that be? The mechanic did not find any holes under the car, looking for leaks and as I stated before the oil had just been changed and replenished. The mechanic stated there were only two quarts of oil in the car. How could that be? The oil is supposed to last for at least 4000 miles before changing. He told me these car burn oil. I asked, why didn't the car indicate that my oil was low? This car does NOT have an indicator light for the oil. WHY was this car not equipped that important feature? I would think all cars have this important and should be standard feature. And this is a Cadillac!
In my opinion GM you owe me a car. at the very least you owe me an engine.
I had to buy another car, and because I am a General Motors Retiree i brought GM, Cadillac.
powertrain/timing chain break
My parents are in their 60's and 70's and have been lifelong gm owners. They have a 2011 gmc acadia and are 116 miles out of the power train warranty and the timing chain has failed. They do not have the money for repairs or a new car. Gm will not honor or even offer compensation in any way for this issue, even though there are hundreds of other acadia owners with this same issue reported online. The supervisor this morning said all she was allowed to offer was a $100 voucher for an oil change in a gm automobile that my parents are not able to drive. They are traveling out of state this weekend for their grandchild's high school graduation and are having to borrow a car to make the trip. I hope consumers will stop and think about the lack of care and concern from gm before making their next purchase.
taking too long
My car has been in the mechanic at a Chevy Dealership, they have been waiting on GM to give them a response on how to fix the autostop feature and its nearing almost a month and I still do not have my car. It is taking a bit too long for them to come up for an answer so the mechanics can fix it and return me my car. I understand it takes time to find out a solutiom, however it shouldn't take a whole month to figure it out, and not either answer the mechanics when they call or not call them with an update.
2018 buick enclave avenir
I recently purchased the 2018 Enclave Avenir and love much about the car but am very disappointed in a few things which I'll go into here. My wife and I had our first extended trip in the car and ran into light rain and this is where we found that the car had no auto sensing windshield wipers. Mind you prior to buying this car we had two other cars, an Acura and a Lincoln which we're in that $60, 000 price range and both had this feature which we now know that Buick does not even offer. This technology has been around for years and during the drive the rain was light and I constantly had to turn the wipers on and off manually. I really thought that Buick was building a quality car and to not have this feature was greatly disappointing. Along with this we love to listen to audio books on long trips and though the car allows you to connect 10 blue tooth devices we found that if you are listening to a book through blue tooth and you get a call on your cell phone you cannot answer the phone using the car technology which totally defeats the safety of hands free driving as you may have the phone in your pocket. Again, the other two cars mention above had the technology to mute the book being listened too and you could answer the phone with the cars technology. Completely disappointed in the lack of this feature and frankly had I know this I might not have bought the Buick Enclave as at our age the technology and safety features are very important to us. Having had these features on our previous two cars we assumed a new car of this status would have the latest in technology. My last compliant would be when calling for technical support on using the On-star contact, those that we've been connected to are totally unknowledgable and would say they'd have to check the user manual to find the answer for me. Really? As I said the car drives nice but disappointed in it not being up to date with technology.

My name is Brianda Vadivia, on 2015 we purchased a 2015 SLE Sierra, after a year of owning the vehicle we loved it so much that we traded in for a newer model Sierra that was four wheel drive. This second an newer vehicle has giving us a complete headache. A few months back, out of the bloom we started to hear some loud noises coming from the engine. Because the truck will not do it when expected and doesn't have an specific moment to do it, It has been difficult for the GMC technicians to duplicate the sound. I however have video recordings to show proof that something is wrong. I have respected GMC protocols, but this is the second time the vehicle has been at the GMC services department. Even though I have proof of the truck making sounds, GMC dealers are still not able to do anything and just send me home knowing there is something wrong. After listening to the noises me and the dealer both agree that there is something that needs to be fixed on vehicle. I ask for an immediate solution, for the truck to be completely fixed, to get a different truck according to the same features I have, or a refund. At this point, I do not feel safe driving the truck knowing it can fail on me at any given moment especially when driving it with my children. I feel frustrated and alarmed which I shouldn't be knowing the quality and performance GMC offers because this is a very expensive and high quality vehicle. The dealer suggested that this could also be a manufacture defect.
Sincerely
Brianda Valdivia
2013 chevrolet equinox
I have not had my truck a year yet, and the check engine light continues to come on. I got numerous diagnostic and was told first I needed plugs (got that fixed). Then, I was told the Cadillac Converter ($1014 got that fixed). Check engine light still on and putting and stalling out BAD! Chevrolet dealership told me, this vehicle and year has MANY issues and will continue too have issues! This vehicle needs to be taken off the market. I have a friend having the exact same issues with her Equinox (same year). Absolutely ridiculous! General Motors needs to find out what's wrong with my vehicle, and PAY to fix it PROPERLY! I'm worked at General Motors and I'm a VERY DISSATISFIED customer! Would NOT recommend any HM vehicles to ANYONE!
Worse experience and truck EVER!
dry rotten tires
I was having problems with the rear tire on passenger side. The notification came on In March. We put air in tire, it went off. Then came on again in April, same tire, put air in tire. Then in May 7 the notification came on again and stayed on 3 days, even after putting air in tire. After this, the engine light came on. So I called Bennett Chevrolet and made an appt. I took the Eqinonx in and the sensor had went bad, needed an oil change and the rear tire had 2 nails in which they couldn't repair. So they advised me to go back to the dealership to get new tires because the tires were dry rotten. I have it in writing. On 5/14/18 I took the car to the dealership and they stated the tires are fine and plugged the tire. They stated the tires only have stress marks on them. I'm very uncomfortable driving the SUV when the dealership doesn't care about me or my family's safety with the tires. They were shown the paper work from the dealership. I purchased the SUV in Feb. and it's supposed to be GM Certified. I'm nervous every time I have to drive it. I also felt since I'm a women, they don't think I know anything. Also when I called and talked to Bob, Manager, first thing he said, they were trying to get you to buy tires. I stated no, they told me to take back to dealership because it is GM certified and the tires should be safe. I just want some new tires for myself and family to fill comfortable in the SUV.
I have the invoice that Bennett Chevrolet gave me.
I have an invoice from Bennett Chevrolet which Turnersville Auto Mall ignored.
2010 chevrolet avalanche
General Motors has a major problem with the 5.3 motors that change from V8 to V4 from 2009 to 2012. The lifters are collapsing. There are hundreds, if not thousands of people having this problem. This should be a nation wide recall. My Avalanche is barely over the power train warranty in miles. This repair will cost thousands. I am a lifelong General Motors customer. If this is not taken care of by General Motors, I will never buy GM again. Please advise as to what the next step would be as far as submitting complaints.
We need the connection to VP of Quality at GM, can anyone provide?
See my post today above. Costhttps://www.complaintsboard.com/general-motors-b102043/page/32# me $8000 to fix my Avalanche due to bad design of lifters at 70K miles.
Replacement of starter assembly - unethical behavior
On July 5 2002 Jake Sweeney Chevrolet 33 West Kemper Road Cincinnati Ohio 45246 replaced the starter assembly on my 1987 Corvett Vin# 1G1YY2183H5114187. In May 2018 the starter assembly failed and per my receipt dated 5 July 2002 the replacement starter should be covered by the Lifetime Service Guarantee. Jake Sweeney is refusing to honor the Lifetime Service Guarantee and is asking me to pay for the replacement. Their reason is that they found oil on the underside of the engine. I do not believe this to be the cause of the failure. The position of the starter assembly is well above the bottom of the engine. The starter has been in service for 16 years. The failure mode is normal wear. Additionally, the only caveat stated by the contractural 2002 warranty is that I have the original receipt and I do. Your help requested;
Charles R. Wojciechowski [protected]@gmail.com [protected]
Jake Sweeney Automotive advised on 05/14/18 that they would cover the cost of the starter per the warranty agreement established in May of 2002. Case Closed.
unethical behavior
I recently went to Open Road Chevrolet in Union, NJ to get my oil changed.
I was a Multi Chevrolet customer and went to Open Road after
they bought out Multi. The last time I went for an oil change
I suspected they didn't actually change the oil, but had no
real proof. So this time I marked the oil filter, after the
job was done my old filter was still on the car. After I
complained they did give me my money back and offered to do
the job for free while I watched, but by this time I didn't
want them touching my car and left.
I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THEM TO MY WORST ENEMY!
2014 chevy silverado
I turned on my air conditioning on 5 to 2018 and it was blowing hot air I went online to figure out if there was some troubleshooting I could do to find myself directed to a Blog Page full of complaints about the air conditioning in a 2014 Chevy Silverados that needs to be repaired every 3 months approximately at the cost of five to seven hundred dollars there are people who have had to have their air conditioning fixed 4 times a year when they live down south how is this acceptable to General Motors how is this acceptable to you to treat your customers this way I cannot afford to have my vehicle fixed every 6 months for 3 months twice a year to have something fixed when you guys know it as a problem and are simply not taken care of the problem I enjoy driving Chevrolets I have four years however if I have to get rid of my truck ice will be the last Chevy I ever own which probably doesn't mean a lot to you however I'm going to let people know that this is how you guys take care of problems and I'm on a small restaurant so I'm going to let everybody know that that's how it's handled at GM and I just simply want my truck fixed permanently without it being a cost to me for your mistake.
aluminum wheels leaking air and rattle in steering wheel.
I bought a 2002 GMC HD2500 new. Had to replace the rotors at 25000 miles account of the rust issue. Should have not purchased another!
Later I purchased new a 2013 HD 3500. It has had a rattle in the steering wheel area since new. Dealer can never duplicate the issue? Never asked for me to ride along to try to show them the problem. Said that since it was reported under warranty, it would be fixed after the warranty expired, when it could be reproduced by their mechanic at no charge.
More than year and a half ago, one aluminum wheel began to have a slow leak. I found that the leak was around the valve stem. Took it to Sutliff and paid to have the valve stem renewed. A few months ago the same one began to leak again. Took it back to Sutliff and was told that was a common issue with them and that it would cost over 400 dollars to replace the wheel. I also asked about the clear coat peeling on the wheels. Was told that they would have been replaced while under the bumper to bumper, but that has since expired and I was on my own.
Toyota has replaced frames for rust and wheels for peeling long after the factory warranty expired. Even though I love the Allison and the Duramax, maybe I need to reconsider?
jeff drennen dealership in zanesville ohio 43701
