Looking at hotels for Las Vegas. Found one at ,get a room at a good price at Rio hotel and casino. March 21st 2022. Something happened I had canceled, CANCELLATION POLICY THIS RESERVATION QUALIFIES YOU FOR A FULL REFUND UPON CANCELLATION SO LONG AS YOU COMPLETE THE CANCELLATION REQUEST BEFORE MARCH 12 2022.I was supposed to cancel by March 12th and I canceled February 21st 2022. I had called the hotel they told me to call get a room [protected]. I had talked to them and they told me my refund will take 5 to 10 days this was February 21st. I called back 10 days later and they told me it was the third party and gave me a very long number for the UK. I can't call the UK. I would love my money back, $50 that I had prepaid. I do not recommend get a room whatsoever to anyone. Having a hard time getting my money back.

Cancellation of Reservation #R2974021895
On 11/29/21, confirmed at 3:29 p.m., I made a room reservation for my daughter Madeline Every via a hotel website which appeared to be Sonesta Simply Suites, Nanuet, NY 10954. The reservation number was #R2974021895. However, it turned out that the room reservation was via a third party, Getaroom.com. Immediately upon receiving an email from Getaroom, with a total charge of $583.78, I called to cancel the reservation as I had not had an opportunity to review the reservation and the Getaroom requirement to pay in full upfront. When I spoke to the Getaroom representative he told me that according to the hotel's cancellation policy, the charge of $583.78 was non-refundable. I was livid. I received a confirmation from HOTELVALUES.COM rather than Sonesta Simply Suites Nanuet. After talking that same day at 4:10 p.m. with the staff at Sonesta Simply Suites Nanuet I confirmed that the hotel has a cancellation policy of cancellation with no penalty up until the day of the reservation. It was totally fraudulent for the Getaroom representative to tell me that the HOTEL cancellation policy was that the reservation was non-refundable. Your organization is a total fraud and scam. I cancelled this reservation within minutes of making it, and was told that there was no recourse to the fraudulent charge. This is shameful. Refund (no refund) cancellation within 5 minutes
On 1-24-22 i was trying to make a one night reservation at our local Doubletree
some how it diverted to Reservations.com and it became 6 nights,
and charged our credit card $1433,65 i called customer service immediately,
they were very rude and said no refund policy i wrote several emails no help. My husband went to Douletree San Jose Ca paid for 1 night and cancelled the the remaining
nights got into system as "no show". of course we did not get a refund . Now Hilton (doublrtree) after talking to a manager says a third party is involved Getaroom
of course i didn't know that. Doubletree emailed me and said they credited and refunded the third party credit card. Douletree said for me to get refund i am to reach out to third party. This has taken me many e Mails . also Douletree said they would be glad to confirm. Fraudulent hotel booking
They said we could cancel up to the day of check in. When we tried to cancel the day before they wouldn't let us. They also charged $100+ more PER NIGHT than what Holiday Inn charges if you go direct.
They wouldn't let us cancel even though we were within our cancellation period.
I am only looking for a refund for the night I didn't stay there (~$250).
I am not going to let this go and will continue to the AG if necessary.

Booked a room on the ground floor at Hamilton Hotel, entire floor under renovation

My wife who is blind and has a service dog called what she thought was the Hampton Inn. It was "Guest reservations" not the hotel. She stated several times be assured that it was understood that the room being reserved was on the ground floor. The agent confirmed this as to we were both in our car traveling from Oregon to KCMO and I also heard the entire conversation as the volume was up on her phone. When we arrived, we found out the entire ground floor was torn up and under renovation and had been for over a month. We purchased another room with two double beds (which my wife was told there wasn't any) on the 2nd floor close to an elevator. We were charged for a room with a king size bed and a hide-a-bed couch. $140 for a $95 room that didn't, exist (on the ground floor). Ordered a hotel room didn't know I was going through a third party. Used my work credit card but yet when they sent the payment to the hotel they sent their own virtual card that was declined so therefore the hotel used my personal debit card for the room that I had given them for items purchased while I was there.
Get a room refused to credit back my work credit card that was $210 more than the room actually was, even though it was their error. It has taken me over a week to get my money back. This just happened February 1 2022 Irented the room for three nights

I was charge $469.38 for a 2-night stay at Hilton Airport in Columbia, SC I never received the confirmation information to review.
I saw the charge of $469.38, I thought I had reserve for 3 nights instead of the 2-nights that I needed.
When I finally was able to contact the company, the first customer service agent hung up on me, when I Question the extra $150 charge.
I called back, the male refuse to give me customer service telephone number, however he did put me through to Amber. She informed me that I never received the confirmation email, because it was written down wrong. My question was why I didn't receive a letter or call. This extra nominal charge of $150 was Ludacris. She called it compensation for their company and offered me 10% of the $150, I told her it was her company's fault because of the cancellation clause I would have cancelled that same night I book it, whenever I saw that $150. She then offered me 15% off that $150. I'm an avid traveler and I never been duped by any booking company. Why would I want to give them $150, when I could've gone right through Hilton? So disappointed, I felt as though they rape for my money

Scam - overbooked for room and they quote false cancellation policies
I thought I was booking directly with the hotel and somehow got mixed this Getaroom service instead although I didn't know this until I attempted to cancel. I called the hotel directly to cancel and they said they had no problem cancelling my reservation since it fell completely within their window for cancelling with no fees or charges, however I had to call this third party to cancel since it was booked through them. At no time at the time of booking did they inform me it was a third party service. I called them to cancel and was told that according to my reservation and THE HOTEL'S POLICY... that I would be charged for one nights stay. This is a complete lie as I had spoken to the hotel directly and was told by thier employee it was fully refundable. I also found out they had overcharged for the room waaaaay over what I would have been charged had it been directly with the hotel. $184 in service fees is absolute BS. This is a complete scam.
Desired outcome: I want the entirety of the amount charged to my card fully refunded. It should be made perfectly clear from your "customer service reps" when speaking to someone that you are a third party service and not associated with the hotel.

Can't reach anyone by phone to ask about a prior reservation
I have called all the phone numbers I can find and I have not been able to reach a person. I am doing my taxes and some of my travel is tax deductible but I have come across (on my annual summary) a charge for a hotel room booked through GetARoom and I do not know what it was for. The charge was for $571.64 and was made on April 5th, 2021, charged to a card ending in 53. Please contact me ASAP if you can help me with this.

Incorrect booking dates!

I booked a room through trivago for a stay at the Doubletree Hilton at Manchester Airport for 26th January 2022. I had some difficulty with the website and when I booked the room it changed the date to Thursday 27th January which I did not realise until I recieved the booking confirmation from Traveluro. I IMMEDIATELY called the Traveluro customer service line and explained the situation. I was informed that they would contact the hotel in the morning to see if it could be amended. As soon as I had hung up the phone, I recieved an email saying that they couldn't change the booking and I would be charged in full for a room that I can't use!
Clearly they didn't call the hotel, and they just flat out LIED to me. I have sent 2 further emails to their customer service team and I haven't received a response.
I called the hotel this morning at 9am when their reservations team was in to try and sort this out. The hotel informed me that my booking was actually through Getaroom.com. This issue still has not been resolved.

I wasn't informed about the $249.00 fee and cancelled the room within the hour. This was on January 24, 2022. I have called the hotel and they tried to cancel the reservation, but we're unable too. I have filled a disputed charge with Citibank. Also, my nephew is counsel with the FTC.
I checked with the Dallas, Tx. BBB and saw you had a 1.07 out of 5 rating. As a company, you should be ashamed of the way you do business. I can understand the class action lawsuit against you!

Misrepresentation of hotel website by Get A Room
On 11/29/21, confirmed at 3:29 p.m., I made a reservation to the hotel I believed to be Sonesta Simply Suites, Nanuet NY 10954 and it turned out to be a third party, you, Getaroom.com. I made reservation #R29740211895. Immediately upon receiving an email confirmation of this reservation with a total charge of $583.78, I called to cancel the reservation and was told it was non-refundable. The representative on the line told me that according to the hotel's cancellation policy, the charge of $583.78 was non-refundable. I was livid. I immediately called American Express and opened a fraudulent case. I received a confirmation from who I thought would be Sonesta Simply Suites Nanuet it was from HOTELVALUES.COM. The reservation confirmation email has a section that is bold which states Cancellation Policy. Under this section, it states that the reservation is subject to the HOTEL'S cancellation policy which is: The reservation is non-refundable. There is no refund for no-shows or early checkouts. THIS IS ABSOLUTELY FRAUDULENT. THE HOTEL HAS A CANCELLATION POLICY OF CANCELLATION WITH NO PENALTY UP UNTIL THE DAY OF THE RESERVATION. This was confirmed by talking with the Sonesta Suites staff at the Nanuet location on 11/29/21 at 4:10 p.m. Your organization is a total fraud and scam. I cancelled this reservation within minutes of making it, and was told that there was no recourse to the fraudulent charge. This is shameful. I just filed a complaint to the BBB about these scammers. My website now advises of all to book hotels rooms ect elsewhere.
No refund for accidental booking of the wrong date
On the evening of 12/31/21 my wife was attempting to book rooms for our family to go to West Yellowstone, MT for the weekend of 1/15/22. She began the booking on the Holiday Inn website, and somehow got kicked to your website automatically. When this happened, the date fields were automatically reset to the current day's date without her noticing. Since she thought she was proceeding with the same reservation she had already started for the night of 1/15/22, she continued to payment and purchased the rooms. She received a confirmation within a minute, and instantly realized she had ACCIDENTALLY booked the rooms for 12/31/21 (the current day's date) due to the default date in the fields on getaroom.com. She immediately called customer service to request help in correcting this error. We spoke with 5 different people, but no one has been able to help with this mistaken booking. As a result, I have been charged $444.78 for rooms that were cancelled and could not use.
I was told that we could not cancel with a refund because the cancellation was for a reservation that was within 24 hours. This is an exceptional case because it was an erroneous booking. We were attempting to book a room over 2 weeks in the future, but the wrong date was defaulted into the field on getaroom.com. Due to this error, it was not possible to request a cancellation in accordance with their policy. We were offered no flexibility and no alternative by anyone we spoke with.
We understand your policy regarding cancellations, and we are asking for some help or an exception for the case of this minor human error in entering the wrong date which was caught and attempted to be corrected IMMEDIATELY within 5 minutes of the booking. It seems that this should be an allowable exception. Any other online purchasing or booking site has allowances in their policies for the realization that the wrong date was booked or wrong item was purchased on accident due to human error. We called within minutes of the erroneous booking to try to correct the date to the right date, but we were refused. We both spent over an hour on the phone speaking with several reps, and we did not get anywhere toward a satisfactory resolution.
I am seeking a refund for my cancelled booking. It is completely unacceptable, and extremely violating that getaroom.com is stealing this money from me by offering no concession for a case such as this where a human error due to their own system defaults resulted in booking the wrong dates.
