April 11th at 3:50 pm an employee by the name of Ras began banging on the door while i was attempting to breastfeed my daughter. His banging caused my daughter to begin crying and she would no longer feed. He said that i was in the bathroom for a long time and needed to come out, he said that he needed to be going home at 4pm and he banged on the door four separate times. I know for a fact that i was in the bathroom for less than twelve minutes because my husband was still on the phone with me. I do not appreciate the disrespect, i work in customer service and that is not how you treat people that provide the money for your paycheck. I spoke to someone about his behavior but they were also rude to me as well. A man with long dreads who was standing around doing absolutely nothing.
Rude Employee Christine at Giants at Reisterstown rd plaza
For over 40 years Giants has been my family's favorite store to shop. Ive never had an incident until today. An employee Christine was extremely rude and made statements that should not be heard by paying customers. This employee got mad because i didn't see a lady in a wheelchair coming through the main isle. When i saw the lady i moved to the side and allowed her to go by. Unfortunately the rude employee made several comments towards me in a hateful manor. I will never ever go back the Giants again. I will make sure every family member and friend never go to giants again.
Desired outcome: I dont want anything from Giants or the employee Christine. Keep your Apology. My Brother just passed away and her negative attitude was not needed.

I have been a patron of the store for the past 20 years. The people that work there are always very nice and very courteous. Today when I went into the store, did my grocery shopping I found out that I was only allowed to check out 20 items through the self check out. Personally, I hate the self check out it’s clunky and typically does not work as well as it should. Unfortunately, I had more than 20 items and there were only two people working the check out and the line was
extraordinarily long, Sunday morning no less. I realize trying to find.
Employees to work at giant must be difficult
But there comes a time where convenience
Vs price is coming to play. Besides the level of inconvenience the level of safety in the parking lot is questionable. I would never say that I would never shop at giant but I did go up to the Whole Foods and finish the rest of my shopping there. Costly yes but worth the time savings

"Security" at the Giant Store #301 Aspen Hill MD
The security there came out and took a picture of my license plate and yelled that he was going to report my daughter and I! for what? A box of soda fell out of the cart on my way to my car and we asked for a new box of sodas because one of the cans busted open. The manager ok'd it and my daughter got it and left and the security had a complete melt down...

On 3/7/23 I had a prescription sent in to the pharmacy at around 8am. That’s being generous seeing as my appt was at 7:25am. When I got off of work at 4pm I called the pharmacy wondering why I hadn’t gotten a call or text. A text saying my prescription was ready or a call saying it had to be ordered. I spoke to Arlene. Who was very rude. My information should have been on the screen in front of her but she couldn’t get my name correct. She tried to say that my medication was sent it HOURS later than it was, then tried to say it was going to be another 2 hours before I got my medication even as a waiter. That would have made for a 10 hour wait for my medication. I used to work at that pharmacy and sub at pharmacies for Giant. 10 hours is unfathomable. Her apology for not saying my name correctly or even attempting to have the right name was “my bad” She was very unprofessional. Completely wrong in all the information she gave me and completely rude. I love the rest of the staff at the pharmacy even though most of the originals have been replaced. But she will make me leave this pharmacy. I have never caused giant a problem with my meds.
Single-use plastics out of control
I was very disappointed when I recently walked into my local Giant store in Gilbertsville, PA and noticed the unnecessary use of single use plastic... everywhere. The attached picture shows individual muffins packaged in useless single use plastic. This is just one example of the amount of needless plastic used in this store.
With a growing climate crisis and plastic pollution on the rise, I would think that Giant would want to be a leader and innovator in the retail trade sector and not a follower. Helping to educate their shoppers and create awareness on such an important issue is something I thought Giant took seriously.
Clearly indicated under the Sustainability section on their website, they talk about how sustainability matters, how important greater transparency is and how they are working towards "Advancing Circular & Safe Products/Packaging". Giant further goes on to state that they "will maintain a robust sustainable chemistry policy and move toward 100 percent sustainable plastic packaging. As a subsidiary of Ahold Delhaize, Giant Food are signatories to the Ellen MacArthur Foundation New Plastics Economy Global Commitment to Eliminate problematic or unnecessary plastic packaging and move from single-use to reuse packaging models." Giant is clearly not living up to its sustainability goal and should be embarrassed to have this statement on their website. Shame on Giant Food Stores for their lack of transparency on a number of different issues including their animal welfare policy regarding purchasing farmed animal meat from ethical resources (for example they have NOT signed the Better Chicken Commitment https://betterchickencommitment.com/us/), their lack of eliminating plastic packaging and moving from single-use to reusable packaging and by promoting farming and ranching that is not in harmony with nature (aka regenerative agriculture).

Service in the meat department. Racism
2/4/2023 at 1:02pm I went to buy turkey wings and I noticed the sell by date was the next day and I went to the manager of the meat department for a manager’s special marked do since that is usually what happens when products are close to the sell by date he rudely responded to me that he won’t that is it at his discretion that he won’t mark them down that they would sale. But I was confused because about 2 months ago the same thing happened but this time I was there on the actual sell by date and the same manager snatched the meat out of my hand when I brought it to his attention and said he can’t sale it. And proceeded to help a Caucasian women and hand her meats that were marked down. So after I got this response I looked for a store manager and explained to him what happened and he walked me back to the meat department manager and repeated the same thing with arrogance. I then asked what if those particular items don’t sell by tomorrow he then said he will give them to the food bank which made absolutely no sense since I was there willingly to pay he would rather give them away for free than give me a discount after a few minutes of going back and for and intervention of the store manager he marked the items down by 33%. I believe I was treated unfairly and in such a many because of the color of my skin.
Desired outcome: I want this to be handled accordingly
Truck driver driving habits
on Wednesday February 1, 2023, at approx 1:10pmEST traveling southbound on Loch Raven Blvd in Baltimore County, heading into Baltimore City, (at Walker Avenue) the GIANT driver, in truck 8447, saw a yellow light upcoming at intersection. Traveling at about 35mph in far right lane, he cut over into my left lane with NO BINKER SIGNAL, sped up, cut me off and ran a red light at Loch Raven & Walker Ave.

The hiring process is not fair to future employees. I applied for a job, I was told that they could use me. But due to previous employment dated back in 2006 more than a decade ago I was denied employment because of it. I think its unfair i was not even given a chance to prove how good of an employee I can be. The information that I'm getting is that you have an employee that Telerwork from home Soliesting videos on line or by phone to minors or on a my fan app that I'm hearing about I will be getting more information as I receive it her name is Latoyrea Woodard from my understanding she supposedly Teleworking from from this is very disturbing videos or photos.
Self service check-out
Giant Store 0125...In a rush, huge lines on all of the (not that many) registers open, not much of a line at self-service. Wait a few minutes and go to check out. Had my own bags. But the sensor on the machine is miscalibrated on all of the machines. Employee is going back and forth to help everyone because it did not register when a customer put an item in their bag. So she had to continually reset everyone's device. Took twice as long and she (the employee) was not nice nor was she apologetic. Sucked.
Cash registers
The past 3 weeks the cash registers are taking a very long time to print out the receipt. Sunday January 8 2023 it took 3 minutes. This past Sunday January 15 2023 it took 4 minutes. We purchased $242.00 worth of groceries.This makes for long lines waiting to check out and unhappy customers. This is occurring at the Flower Hill Maryland branch. I would like to see this register problem fixed quickly.

Delivery driver blocked ALL the handicap parks
I'm writing to complain about a delivery driver taking up ALL the handicap parks in front of my apartment building. All 4. I pulled to the side and showed my sticker and he told me to wait. He went to the back of his truck and was doing something with the bins for about 3 minutes. Then he comes and sits behind the wheel but didn't move. Once again I asked him to move so I could park, because I'm disabled, and he started fussing from the truck. I understand delivery people have issues parking places for deliveries, but handicap parking is for people in need of special accommodations not convenience.
Desired outcome: Reminding drivers to be considerate of people with accommodations
Customer treatment by pharmacy tech
My son and I were at the Falls Church, VA location at the corner of Graham Road and Arlington Boulevard. I was questioning the insurance process that the technician was asking me about as I have never had to provide insurance information for a vaccination before. The technician proceeded to yell at me, and was very rude to me, and should be fired immediately. Thank you.
I actually wanted to file a compliment
My regular Giant is 6000 Greenbelt Road in MD. I really appreciate the diverse selection of ethnic foods. I'm vegetarian, and Giant provides many flexible options for my diet. The produce is always fresh, and my prescription is always ready on time.
Tonight I wanted to tell you about a wonderful experience with our cashier, Raissa. She was expedient, had a great smile on her face during checkout and told jokes that made my night. She may be new, but she deserves a spot on your wall of fame.
Desired outcome: Give Raissa a huge pat on the back for the great job she's doing!
Free Product Not Given
I redeemed 50 points for a Giant bag of Vegetables online yesterday. (11/20) When I checked out today 11/21 the product was not credited. I sought and received a refund. I went home to see that the item was redeemed (online) but there was no way that occurred between yesterday and today. To make matters worse, I forgot to take the (20) twenty dollars cash from the register. I went back later and no one turned it in. Oh well, live and learn, but I want the bag of FREE vegetables or the 50 points reversed. I have a photo of the supposed redemption. I can supply if needed. The clerks at Giant #169 at 5:18 pm said there was nothing they could do, nor check my account. I was given a number to call on a register tape. I'll try to call tomorrow.
Desired outcome: Reversal of points or FREE bag. I'm skeptical because lately price tags, sales item prices, and buy one get one free Halloween candy required an additional trip to the the line at Customer Service/Solutions.
Pharmacy
On 11/6/2022 I went in to pick up my prescription which was gonna be filled with a certain manufacturer of my medicine due to other manufacturers of the medicine making me throw up. I was at store 109 on Old Court rd. They didn’t fill it with the right manufacturer and when I asked could they they told me it was unavailable and couldn’t be ordered. The day before 11/5/2022 they had this manufacturer and enough to fill my prescription and it was exclusively for me being a customer who receives narcotics. They didn’t really care there attitude was take it or leave it and the pharmacist Leslie refused to speak to me. They play god and games all the time at this pharmacy and it’s the worst Giant pharmacy I’ve ever been too. They know other manufacturers make me throw up and they just don’t care for people. There constantly in a rush and unsympathetic towards the patients receiving there meds.
Manager Yelling at Employee in front of Customers
On 10.13.2022 at 6:50pm. I walked towards the Bakery department 12445 Hedges Run Dr, Lake Ridge, VA 22192. As i continued to walk closer to purchase a cupcake i hear Giant employee yelling at another employee advising that they were late and left work. I found later that the Customer Service Manager Brittany H. was yelling at Chis. Brittany was positioned in the pharmacy and Chris was positioned in the Bakery behind the counter. Multiple customers could hear Brittany and what she was saying to Chris loudly and unprofessionally dictating to him " did you leave work, where were you" Although these may have been great points. I would believe that a manager would be able to take the employee off the floor so that other customers could not hear.
To defuse the issue i purchased 6 cupcakes and a choleate cake. This caused Brittany to move away from Chris and stop yelling at him
Desired outcome: The Customer Service Manager requires Human Rights Training and assistance with Managing within the law
Pharmacy
I am a 58-yo disabled woman. For almost two years I have been forced to live at Leisure World in Silver Spring, MD and have my prescriptions filled at the Giant Pharmacy in the adjacent shopping center on International Drive. This pharmacy is the WORST I HAVE USED IN MY ENTIRE LIFE. When trying to reach the pharmacist today because my scrips were not delivered as we agreed, I called them [protected]) repeatedly eight times in a row and EVERY CALL RANG AND RANG UNTIL THE PHONE COMPANY TERMINATED THE CALL. No answer. This is the normal experience at this pharmacy. When going to pick up an rx that the pharmacy has texted you is ready pickup, it’s common to wait in line for at least 20 minutes only to be told your rx is NOT ready despite your having received the text, and then you have to wait at least half an hour for the rx to be filled. Horribly understaffed and the staff members who are there are without compassion. I’ve filed a complaint today and requested a phone call from the corporate District Manager. I’ll be very shocked if I hear back from anyone at all.
Desired outcome: Better pharmacy service and management.
Procedures with errors made by giant.
I have been using delivery of groceries by Giant for a few months. Been very happy with service and staff. I just retired so I am getting food-stamps along with Social Security. My order on Oct 12th was done just like my other orders. When I looked at my checking account they did not deduct food-stamps they deducted cash from my bank account. I just hung-up with GiantFood and was passed around 5 times to different service people. They all said they do not reverse orders like that. I told them when I opened my account Giant made an error and quickly refunded my cash and corrected with food-stamps. If you look very early on my account you will see it. I want my bank account credeted and please replace with food stamps.
I can not believe Giant is doing this. Please correct this, if you need me to sign a new order no problem going to the store.
Help Please, I need my $76.00 back.
