Their customer service sucks sans use my card without my knowledge I keep on hanging up on me they make me feel out a lot of forms just a file a claim they make you wait on The call in line for hours customer service is nonexistent

Green Dot money not in account

I just put $200 in my account from Walmart an hour ago. and it's still not in there. I people would take legal action, let's say a hundred thousand for every two hundred. this crap wouldn't happen.

Green Dot Pay as you go visa card

Greendot, PAY AS YOU GO, VISA Cards are a rip off. They make it very difficult to activate. Walmart should not sell these cards. You give Walmart your money and you can not possibly use it, The website and phone number do not allow registration and without registration, you cant use the money that you gave WALMART. Then if you do not register, they take back $9.95. They also charge a minimum of $1.50 to use the card that you can't register. Stay AWAY FROM GREENDOT

Green Dot The app will not let me unlock my card

I lock my card regularly and today i cannot unlock the card . After 45minutes of waiting on hold i get a perswon on the phone. The service person told me i could use the card . I tried with him on the phone and it was declined . I have my whole paycheck in there and cannot access my money due to the app not unlocking my card. There are multiple people complaining aboutthe same issues im having today . People who have locked the card on the mobile app cannot unlock it . Every time you try an error message comes up saying " we are having technical issues try again later . " try again later you say ? i need access to my money now.

Desired outcome: UNLOCK MY CARD ON THE APP SO I CAN USE IT

Green Dot Locked out of account

On 12/23/21 while picking up my very important medications at the pharmacy my card was declined. It made no sense because I checked acct before I went and I had also just transferred funds from my bf's green dot acct into mine. The reason why I have to transfer funds into mine from his is because he lost his card in October, and his pay gets DD into his acct..we called and requested a new card in OCTOBER so for the meantime, we were told about how he could transfer funds to my acct, in order to access his money, until the new card came in mail. So that is what we have had to do since he started his new job in October. So when I transferred the last amount on 12/23, it apparently locked both our accts..actually didn't know his was locked too until I just checked today after reading someone elses complaint saying both hers and her husbands was locked after transfers. I have provided them with the following for Identity verification: an expired drivers license (I explained how I only had an expired license because I was waiting on new ID in mail, they told me to send it anyways) my birth certificate, my SS card, photo of my debit card front and bank, and my new ID when I got it on Monday. They said I failed the Identity Verification. How the hell did I fail to verify my ID!? They have more info on me now than when I opened the account! I cannot seem to get anywhere with these people and they really don't want to help you at all. Hell the first agent I talked to gave me a completely different email to send my docs to than it was supposed to go to. Every dime we own is in that acct. My bf busted his [censored] working 30 hrs of overtime just to have the extra money for Christmas. I didn't get to finish my sons Christmas shopping, he had only 2 gifts from me to open on Christmas morning. My health is detoriating because I have not had my medications in several days. I have no gas in my car and my rent is due on the 1st, not to mention the other bills that are due. This has me in such a mess. I can't sleep, I stress all day, cry all day..I cannot take much more of this. My bf works hard to provide for us and we should not be treated like we are criminals by holding our money hostage. We are the ones that suffer and have to pay the consequences when we have done NOTHING wrong. Here is someone who actually works for a living, to pay his own bills and yet you keep our $$ from us!? I am at my witrs end with this and I will be reaching out to a personal friend of mine, who also just happens to be a Congresswoman from my State. This is ridiculous and I am tired of the runaround. I want to speak to the person responsible for initiating the lock and the person who reviews the acct and determines if my proof of identity is valid or not. All I get from the 10+ agents I have spoke with is contradicting info and wrong info. Not to mention the info I got from someone who was acting as a rep from Green Dot and tried to obtain info from me and scam me. Enough is enough.

Green Dot Blocking access to funds

Without warning, Green Dot blocked access to both mine and my husband's individual accounts on Christmas Eve. Leaving us with no money to buy gifts, food, etc although we had thousands if dollars in the accounts.
Because Green Dot does not allow joint accounts, I have, consistently, transferred money from my hubby's account into mine to use for household expenses and special purchases. On 12/24, I transferred money from my hubby's account into mine. I then realized I did not transfer enough and transferred an additional amount. I found out that was a no no when standing in line at the grocery store with a caretfull of food and gifts when my card was declined.
Went online to see an ominous your account has been blocked message. No message as to why in an email, text or phone although green dot uses all of these methods to verify my account via phone. Yet altho they have all of these methods to verify and reach me, zilch, zero communication from them. After an arduous 45 mins, and being hung up on twice I finally found out that I needed to send ids to prove I am me. Huh?. Then I am told 2 business days to release funds. On christmas eve. Thanks green dot. You ruined our holiday. As if this year hasnt been hard enough.
Terrible bank, customer service. Why isnt that little piece of knowledge highlited somwhere on the site when you transfer funds. If we don't see our funds tues, our congressional reps will be involved.

Desired outcome: Release our money. Stop holding it hostage.

Green Dot Service

I called to file a dispute and the [censored] said to call PayPal. I asked her if I didn't do the transaction through PayPal and only GreenDot would I have a valid dispute? She kept saying PayPal like a [censored] [censored] that she is, I should have gotten her name so I can blast her all over this [censored]. This is my first time using these stupid prepaid cards and oh it will be my last.

Green Dot Green dot pre-paid Visa debit card...I deposited $500, and can't activate

I bought a Green Dot prepaid debit card through Visa at family Dollar in Dallas Texas. I got home, I've tried to activate it seven or eight times now and it's saying that there's an invalid piece of information and I don't see how does everything is correct. So I go online and I research this and I see that Green Dot has ripped off several people and if you rip me off I'm going to have to do something ridiculous and yes I mean I'll probably get a lot of trouble but man you can't do this to people...

Green Dot My green dot account was hacked

On November 30, I was going to get gas I went to check my balance, and I could not logg into my account, without providing a photo of my drivers license. I then provided that, then my account was unlocked. I logged in to my account and I only had 53 cents.
I was completely shocked because the day before I had $300.00, not only that but my pension check was deposited that same morning at 5:05 am.

My account was hacked at 5:45 am with a withdrawal from [protected]@binpopp.com, who I have used in 2 years of having my account.

I called customer service immediately and they made a case and gave me a case number. I then filed a police report, called Green Dot Bank back and gave them the police report number.

Then customer service stated I needed to mail them a letter, with the following, my name, case number phone number, last 4 digits of the card number. Which I did. I still have not heard anything nor do I have my money back even though they are protected by FDIC.

When you call they request the last 4 digits of your card number. I can't use that because the card has been canceled and they canceled my account.

I can't even reach them by phone.
Please help.

Green Dot refund of my money

Greendot closed my account on 11/10/21 because they switched to GO2 bank. I had no idea this was going on until I logged into my account, and it said it would be closed as of 11/10. I had several direct deposits going into this account and was able to stop one but not the other. I called Greendot to get my money and was told that I would receive a refund of the monies left in my account by 12/10/21 or sooner. On 12/11/21 I called back and was told that the check was mailed out on 11/26/21 and I should have received it on 12/10/21. Well, I didn't receive anything and as of this writing still haven't. Today I spent half of my day calling and being disconnected on when I tried to reach a supervisor or corporate to find out where my money is. This went on for hours until I finally reached a supervisor that told me that they would send up a complaint to track where the check is because it went out via USPS, and I should have received it. This has been going on for over a month now and I want my money. This is not a small amount of money, and this is ridiculous. they are playing games, and no one has any answers. You speaking to foreigners and can't contact the refund department at all. I asked if they had a check number so they can see the check has not been cashed but to no avail that question was answered no. Exactly because no check was sent out. Where is my money?

Desired outcome: Send me my money ASAP!!

I am going through the SAME EXACT THING ! Same dates and all.. except they now tell me the refund check was cancelled and my funds would be transferred to the Go2BAnk .. that it would take 48 hrs.. That was last Thursday ! They are lying and I want my money! This has got to be illegal

Green Dot Fees

I'm being charged a monthly service charge even though I spend over 1000 a month. When I call to have the fee reversed Greendot tells me that they cannot reverse the fee because certain items show as funding reversal or bill pay. I ordered something from Amazon and it is showing as bill pay also I use my greendot to pay my bills and when my statement comes out they show as funding reversal although there is no credits showing.I wonder if Greendot is doing this to justify fees.

Desired outcome: I want Greendot to adhere to their own rules and stop the fees

Green Dot Greendot account

My Greendot Card account was blocked on Friday 12/10/2021 Pending Further Review. I immediately called customer service and asked why my account was blocked and was told that because I recieve 3 greendot to greendot transfers in a 24 hour time period that a block was placed and I had to send in copies of front and back of my ID and that my account would be unblocked within two business days. Well this is Friday and all my money is in the account so I demand a supervisor and explain that I did nothing wrong and that every penny I have is in there ($2, 800) and that I would submit the pictures of my ID but why does my account have to stay blocked. She basically says that there is nothing that she can do and don't worry by Monday it will be unlocked. So I submit my ID front and back through email while I was on the phone with the supervisor and she says that she received and sent it to the right people to review. So I follow today which is Sunday and told me Tuesday my account will be unlocked. So here we go with the runaround nobody knows what they are talking about. Look, it's the holidays the money in my greendir account is mine that I work for and I need it. I have kids and bills and because I made the stupid mistake believing that my money would be safe in my greendot account, I now dont have a dollar because they locked my account with no notice or nothing. The transfers I received were all from the same person and his card is now locked to. Can someone please help me or is there a lawyer you can refer me to because this is not right. Same exact thing happened to us today, Christmas eve. No money for presents, food or anything for kids and family. We have 6.00 because all our direct deposits go into Green Dot. Maybe they should tell people that back to back transfers from the same person will cause your money to be taken hostage. Tell you what, if our funds are not released by Tuesday, our government reps will get involved.

Green Dot Account and funds

I've been incarcerated for the past year my stimulus was deposited into my account someone stole my card while I was away hacked into my account and spent all my funds and now they closed my account I just want to have those transactions disputed and my money back please it was 1400 dollars and I have proof I was incarcerated. I just want my money back.

Green Dot Prepaid card

I purchased $500 green dot card could not activate card called them got no where wrote to them contacted Attorney General nothing could be done. The card was cashed in in California I'm in Oyster Bay Ny so the money was taken and Green Dot will do nothing about it and I'm out $500.00. They run a scam. Now I have to try through small claims court. This is so ridiculous. They get away with this. Amazing.

I went on a dating site myhornycontacts.com this girl summer Taylor got me off the website and got me to buy 9 green dot cards said bit was for a dating mid that cost 540.00 and she registered the cards and gave me the pin which did not work when I sent go the ATM she gave another pin which did not work so now I'm contacting you to try to get my money. Green Dot To unblock my card

My husband just recently passed away on Nov 17, 2021. His SSDI was being direct deposited onto my account. I learned a few days ago that my card had been block. My daughter receives her SSDI also on this card. So once the money it's my card I will have no access to it. I've tried many times to find out what I need to do to get this taken care of. I'm a widow and have a 10 year old daughter to support. I have no money and no food
My rent is coming due. I need this fixed asap.

Green Dot Account recovery and pin resetting issues

I have been trying to regain access to my used account for the past two days. I have been asked for my expiration date i have been told that you can not assist me in updating my information over the phone in which i know that, that isn't so. I have been giving the run around for the last 2 days with no success in help. My old email address is deactivated so is my old cell number. I gave the customer service agent my old email info and i was told that it wasn't the correct email address on file for both old email addresses and phone numbers. I am seriously in need of access my account and need to reset my pin. I can not access my user account due to i do not remember the password. Is there anyway that you can assist with this matter at hand.

Green Dot prepaid debit card unethical behavior

I activated my card to buy something witch I did whit no problem but I DO NOT want a checking account whit your bank, so please cancel my account, I do not add any money to this account so please cancel it.
Acc # [protected] if I had known how your business operate I would have never got this card I only needed to buy something but did not expect to open a checking account so please cancel it

Green Dot Holding my money

Green dot said I did not pass verify my docs so they are holding my money. Told me in order to get my funds I would have to haves Ides call them and ask them to send back. This is fraud it take you 2 days or more to get a call back from them. The people are rude how can they hood your money. You are suppose to send it back I can't pay my bills or Christmas shop for my kids because, my money is on hold.
