Harbor Freight Tools review: Pittsburgh 3 ton low-profile floor jack with rapid pump, slate gray (item 70482)

This 3-ton floor jack was advertised in your 3-day black Friday sale 2024 for $89.99. It was not available for online sales only available in store pick up only. Due to my work requirements, I was unable to go to my local Harbor Freight in Benton Harbor, MI. during this sale.

Yesterday, 12/5/24 I received an email from Harbor Freight advising me they were extending the black Friday sale and sent more coupons which included the above 3-ton jack for $89.99. According to the Harbor Freight website this jack was available at the Benton Harbor, MI store. So I drove 10 miles to this store to purchase this jack.

I entered the store approximately 5:30 PM, saw the exact jack advertised on display, grabbed the product tag and went to the register to check out. The young clerk on duty advised me that this jack showed it was not available in her computer. She asked another employee if they had any of these jacks in stock. The other employee stated yes, we have 2 in the store. The clerk found two jacks in the store, both on display with boxes below the display. I said a display model would be fine for me to purchase.

The clerk said we do not sell display models. I asked if I could get a rain check? She said we do not give rain checks. I said can I order it online for shipment? She said no. I asked it she could substitute another model. she said no. I asked when they would get more of these jacks in the store they could sell? She advised she didn't know. I asked then what can you do for me? She said "nothing, I am sorry".

This morning at 10:19 AM I received another e-mail advising me Harbor Freight is extending the Black Friday sale, sending coupons that includes the above jack I want to purchase. Harbor Freight's own website shows it still in stock at the Benton Harbor store.

Can you please advise me why Harbor Freight will not let me purchase this jack at the Benton Harbor store?
