Donettes
Bought a package of Hostess Donettes, best by Mar 23 2022, J010721000 007, 18:52 7. For the first time ever, it contained 5 donettes versus the normal 6.
Was bought at Harvest Foods, Coulee Dam WA. About 3 weeks ago.

Stale hostess donettes, powdered mini-donuts (bagged)
I have been purchasing these donettes for a long time. For the past year I noticed that they started tasting stale even though I was eating them far from the expiration date. I switched to Tastykake mini-donuts and was pleasantly surprised at the moistness. I buy my groceries from Publix via Instacart. I always order Tastykake now but they are usually out and Hostess is my replacement choice. On 2/20/22 I ordered 4 bags of Tastykake (bogo) and was unhappy to receive Hostess as Publix was once again out of Tastykake. The expiration date is April 11, 2022 and once again they were so stale that I barely enjoyed them. I don't know what Hostess has done to its recipe but you need to fix this staleness problem. How can you call yourselves "America's #1 donut"? You have now lost a customer as I will not choose Hostess as my replacement if Publix is out of Tastykake; I will choose 'refund.'

Ding Dongs
Purchased a box of Hostess Ding Dongs at local DG yesterday 2-19-22 around 3pm. Husband ate one last night and said there was no filling in it. Could have been a fluke. He ate another today and no filling either. I Opened another and cut into 4th’s nope no filling at all. When taking the pictures I also noticed the best by date had expired by about 3 weeks.
Desired outcome: Increase your quality. Fresh box of Ding dongs with filling would be nice.
I purchased the 32 ct variety pack (16 twinkies 16 Ding Dongs) from Sam’s Club February 24, 2022. NOT A SINGLE DING DONG HAD ANY CREAM FILLING.

I opened the bag and on a donut is a dark brown bug or poop baked on top of it. It is approx 1 inch in length. I purchased it at dollar general in Byram, MS on 2-19-22, approx 3pm.
Desired outcome: I am expecting a full refund and replacement.
Hostess Frosted Mini-donuts
Just wanted to send some pics of the latest bag of your Hostess donuts we purchased from Wallyworld (Walmart). These must have been from a Friday afternoon shift. My wife did eat some of these before she realized just how bad the donuts were at the bottom. We love these little donuts, especially broken in half and dunked in milk. We just think the quality control is missing something. Thank you and have a Blessed Day. I also sent these by text to the 1-800 number. that one piece is just a big wad of chocolate!

Lemon cupcakes
Purchased two boxes of lemon cupcakes and a box of cream cheese coffee cakes on 2-9-20, from Butler Walmart store. Butler Missouri.
I can't believe how terrible they are they are just plain to see how we all feel about. Small and tasteless . Both of them and they were not out of date, just hard like a old cupcake.
They are dry and hard with very little flavor in the cake and like hard candy for frosting. This just made us decide hostess no longer has quality and definitely not for the price spent for us and grandkids. We are limited income and to water this much for so little. Shame on you for lack of quality control. Never again.
Desired outcome: Just wanted to have a good snack. Guess need to buy it elsewhere.
Snack size Apple fruit pies
I purchased a box of Apple Snack Size Fruit Pies inside the package I found an empty package fully sealed. The snacks are very good but was surprised by one being completely empty. The box bar code is [protected] it was purchased at a grocery store in Brooklyn Michigan on February 14th.
Zingers
I recently bought a pack of zingers. Got to work and realized that the zinger was very hard (not even able to break) thought that it was the only one in the pack this way. Got home and check the rest all the zingers was this way. The packs looked as if they weren’t sealed properly. Wasn’t able to return to the store due to when I buy snack cakes I place them in a snack bowl to give me more cabinet space.

Hostess mini muffins blueberry
The photo of the mini muffins blueberry featured on the outside of the box is a poor representation of the actual product found on inside. I purchased a box of said product on Thursday, February 10, 2022 from my local Dollar General in Richmond, VA (bar code [protected]). The fluffy-looking, light, and airy muffin displayed on the box was hardly comparable to the dark, flat, overly moist to almost wet, heavy-tasting muffins inside. So very disappointing. Please consider how Hostess can improve the muffin, or whether or not to continue making them. Meanwhile, I will discard these. Thank you for the opportunity to share this complaint. Hostess has many great products, but this is not one of them.

Vanilla ding dong/ taste like soap!!!
I bit into a vanilla ding dong tonight ..It was like I bit into a bar of soap..It was awful and I had to brush my teeth and mouthwash to try to get the taste out of my mouth ...It was actually very frightening...The taste was so strong I was scared thinking is this soap.or poison...Feb 12 2022 1:00 am
Bit into a hostess ding dong and almost vomited it tasted disgusting like soap or chemicals. I had eaten 8 of a box of 10. The 8 stated fine. However the ninth was so foul I thought I might have been poisoned. I had to brush my teeth and rinse to get most of the taste out of my mouth but I can still slightly taste it. Wtf? I smelled the remaining cake and dont smell anything odd. Does anybody know why this would happen?. I'm worried to go to sleep now ... any help would be appreciated.

I opened the box and there were only 9 instead of 10. I had an empty wrapper full of air instead of the snack cake. It was extremely disappointing to find that I was shorted a snack. We literally buy this product twice a week due to the freshness of the individual packs. On this particular box we ended up with two packs of donuts with only two Donuts instead of three. I purchased a box of 8 Hostess cupcakes from my local Fry's Food store week of January 17th 2022. Three of the cupcakes were were open on one side of pacaging and were hard as rocks. I threw them out.

I bought a box of zingers that where very stale. The icing was very hard and the cake was dry.I checked the date and it was good. I buy alot of hostess cakes zingers are my favorite.
