IHOP Poor, poor, service

My husband and I eat at IHOP every Sunday and sometimes during the week in Cedar Hill Tx where we have never had a complaint. This IHOP near Lovefield airport was a disgrace to your name. We was seated fast at the restaurant. But, the waiter was a trip. We waited a long time for our food. Then after we get the food, we had to ask for napkins. My husband used the Tobasco sauce and there was no plastic stopper in it and the food was ruined with hot sauce. Then we asked for 2 go containers and the waiter brought us back two dirty containers that was greasy and been used. Had to asked for cleaner ones. Then he brought us the wrong receipt, and when we got to the counter to pay for our meal the manager asked us, "didn't you have a burritos". So that indicate she was watching the waiter or watching what we ate. I felt discriminated against. It made me feel uncomfortable about ever eating there again. Yes we paid full price for our meal, but we will never return.

IHOP Lecture from manager on wearing masks policy

IHOP 3524 3300 E Main St Alice, Texas 78332. 14 Apr 2021 9:04 PM server Carley. This is absolutely the worst visit I have had at IHOP. I have friends visiting from out of state. Since Texas has opened up and is masks-free the hospital rate for COVID has gone down 20%. The CDC reports over 70% of people who contracted COVID wore masks. When we entered the store Carley met us and demanded we wear a mask to be seated at a table not 20 feet away. Fine, we all dug out masks to fulfill the asinine requirement after stating that masks are not required in Texas and Carley told us they were required by management at IHOP. After we were seated the manager came out of the back like a banshee lecturing us on the IHOP policy of mask. She has some obsession with forcing people to wear masks and kept stating she would be fired if we did not wear a mask. It is no wonder every time I go into this store there are very few people with an attitude like that who would want to go there. They did not give us a survey (wonder why?). I have tried in the past to talk to some competent person about this issue but no one has contacted me. I doubt I will rush to go back there.

Desired outcome: Stop treating me like I am a 3 year old kid needing "big sister" to tell me when and where to wear a mask.

IHOP Bad service at restaurant

On 3/20/21 I took my family & son to IHOP located at 4310 Roosevelt Blvd. for his birthday. I didn't want to go there because I had heard from friends the service is bad there. I suggested Bob Evans or Green Eggs Cafe, but my son chose IHOP at that location because its 5 minutes from my home and he likes the food. We were seated at 10:30 AM, but no waiter came to the table until 11AM which is an extremely long wait for a waiter to first great seated customers. The waiter never apologized nor gave any explanation for why we waited so long for him, and I felt like maybe he didn't like Asian Americans. When my family ordered drinks, the waiter took 15 minutes just to return with the drinks, and I noticed big pink lipstick prints on my coffee cup. When I showed it to the waiter and asked if I could have another coffee in a clean cup, he huffed and said "I guess so" as if I was inconveniencing him. Again he didn't even apologize for bringing a coffee which had lipstick prints nor for the 15 minutes we waited for the drinks. Again I felt that maybe he had something against Asians but I tried to put it out of my head. When we finally were brought our food we weren't given any utensils! I was shocked that the waiter never noticed we had no utensils and he never offered us ketchup, salt, pepper or anything during the entire visit. We had to ask for everything. Once again there was no explanation nor apology when we told him we had not been given any utensils. I wanted to spend a nice day with my family for my son's birthday and it was ruined by bad service. The waiter was a short dark skin African American in his 20's with nail polish, and the top of his hair dyed blond. He wore no name tag and I'm not surprised about that. I was hoping to have a nice birthday celebration with my family but instead I left IHOP angry and sad. I felt a little better when I spoke to my best friend who is African American. He told me that the waiter may not hate Asians and may simply be a bad waiter to everyone. He said he was similarly mistreated at IHOP years ago when he went there on duty in his police uniform, and he never returned because of it. He told me I should complain because it will make me feel better and that big franchises appreciate the feedback so they can improve & show the customer they care. I only want to feel that my experience is heard so that other customers don't go through what did. Even though I like IHOP food I'm not sure if I will return. I would appreciate any feedback. Desired outcome: Some sort of feedback to show that IHOP has heard my complaint and that other customers wont be similarly mistreated at that location again.

Servers and staff out back smoking weed in front of everyone. Not a huge deal but it seems like they might be smoking something a bit more seeing a server walk out crying and management trying to cover up a girl having a seizure in the back. Like what the hell is wrong with this place. Located 1420 caldwell blvd nampa idaho.. Very unsafe environment.

Today 01/30/2021 my family and I went to IHOP on 6450S US Hwy85 Fountain, CO 80817. We got there at 3:30pm. We were immediately greeted and got a table within 5 seconds! IHOP Service

Never again! After being seated in a restaurant, we were not served for 30 minutes. After being served and still waiting over 40 minutes, watching customers that were in way after us being brought their food and some even finished and even more customers being served and brought their food, we decided to leave that establishment. We have eaten at many IHOP's before and never have we been treated in this manner before. It saddens us to see such horrible service.

We were seated okay. I ordered coffee and could only get two cups, he ordered sweet tea and even though he brought it to their attention they still brought unsweetened and laughed and said they didn't know what the problem was. We didn't get salt and pepper until I finally went around looking for it. My biscuits and gravy were cold as ice. Very shoddy service and cold food.

IHOP Hash browns and missing belgian waffle

This is the second time this happened. I ordered a 55 old lady special. My hash browns are black. My requested waffle was a big pancake. My daughter ordered a side hash brown also black. We try to support local businesses. This area is pretty remote but it's never really busy except on sunday. My order was online for pick up, so, we didn't have a chance to examine it. I know it's a small matter but, you know when you're hungry and you can't wait to eat your delicious meal and get a pile of burnt potatoes? It's my last straw.

IHOP food safety

To Whom It May Concern:

Good day!

I'm a food lover, a regular & avid customer of Al Shaya chain of restaurants in Jeddah Saudi Arabia.

I've been in IHOP Sary Gate branch early afternoon this day, February 13, 2020. I just want to raise some concerns regarding what I observed which I believe is against the standard of food safety & customer service in any food businesses. The following issues were noted during my visit:

1) Lack of food server — There were only 2 waiters available to attend the needs of both the singles & family sections which are almost full at the time of visit. This creates confusion on the part of the food server which will compromise customer satisfaction.

2) Lack of store cleaners — The food server is also the one cleaning the area (e.g. mopping the floors & cleaning the comfort room). This practice might cause food contamination as the food servers are distributing the food & cleaning the area at the same time.

The store manager as if is not doing anything to correct/fix the issues.

I have no complaints whatsoever on food servers in IHOP Sary branch as they delivered exemplary performance. However, I just can't help but compare this store to the other Al Shaya restaurants like the Texas Roadhouse & Cheesecake Factory which are superb in their work practices (enough staff to meet the needs of the guest) and Infection Control (separate work functions of food servers & store cleaners).

I hope that you'll address the issue with urgency & considerably.
