IKEA Racial abuse

I went to manchester store with my wife, 3 year old and a new born to return some extra items from the wardrobe.
The rapper of an item was torn and I was told that we are not going to return them. I argue with them that I bring them in my blanket and not even a single scratch was on it, but she keep ignoring and rudely told me that she is not returning and wont serve me, she bring the manager and she said you were shouting at the staff (which is lie) and so I am going to bring the security, they bring security at me, my wife and my little children, I left my items there and I left the store, the manager told me "we know how to deal with you people. Just because I am asian it doesn't mean that she will treat me in this manner, every thing should be recorded on the cctv camera and it was around 7:30pm 10-09-2021
Customers before me was even shouting loudly but they did not bring the security so why she bring security at me and refused to serve me?

Desired outcome: i need my full refund and the apology from the staff member and the manager

IKEA Web site problems, and errors on hjalpa baskets and upfora cabinet

First, I looked all over the Ikea web site and found nowhere to provide feedback or contact customer service. If you click the "contact us" tab, it shows no way to contact you, only links to web sites for information about various subjects, and no frequently asked question "how do I make a complaint or contact customer service", so it looks like you don't care to hear from customers.

first, on the Hjalpa Baskets, they come with locking clips part #152457, and the picture shows push them on and click. they do not work that way. There is a tiny gap on the clip that has to separate on the guide rail, and if you try to push them on as pictured, the entire clip slides under the guardrail and does not attach and the only way I could get it to work was to hold a screwdriver to widen the gap, or put it on perpendicular and then rotate to click.

Next, on the Uppfora cabinet, there is a large safety sticker on the inside of the cabinet. Ok, I looked at it and made the cabinet safe installation. Now the sticker won't come off. It is unsightly and when you try to peel it off, it rips and leaves sticker. It should be robust plastic or material that can be removed once I accept it.

Finally, on the Uppfora cabinet, displayed at the store as Hjalpa in the childrens wardrobe section, the bottom of the cabinet on the display model has a kickplate on the bottom front. The cabinet assembly instructions do not show this, the instruction show the kickplate attached in the rear (at the wall|) and an open gap on the front. I want a kickplate on the front as the display models all have. that is not what is sold.

IKEA Customer service for delivery

We made 3 orders, got 2 delivered but not the 3rd one which was supposed to be delivered on last week 8/15/2021 (today is 8/23/2021). Nobody gave us any update about it before I called and waited 30 min and talked to 3 customer service reps. I was told:
* Some items are out of stock. Ikea didn't know when would be in stock.
* i'd have to call ikea everyday to check & request to put items aside for the order if an item is available. Ikea will not do it. Again, everytime i made a call, had to wait at least 30min before able to talk to a rep, and then transferred 2 more times (10 minutes waiting the between).

I asked if I can return all items in previous orders because some components are in the 3rd order, and without the 3rd order those items are incomplete to use. I was told I can return, but ikea won't come to pick up due to pandemic and I'd have to transport items to the store by myself. I paid for delivery because I don't have a truck, so how can I carry the items back? They don't care.

This whole thing is so weird and doesn't make sense to me at all. Why wouldn't the store check the order and put the items aside whenever available in the store to make it ready for delivery? How can ikea ask customers to check and call them to notify to make the order complete? i paid $40 for them to get the items from the isles; so they won't do it until i call and tell them to do so?

IKEA Ikea Not Processing Online Order

I placed an online order to be delivered - and paid for the $49 shipping fee.
My order was processed at 10:30 AM this morning and I received 2 emails to verify my order was processed and when I should expect it.

Later today I received 2 voice mail calls verifying to have someone at my home to accept the order.

Later today - 3 hours after I received confirmation of delivery, I get a form letter stating were so sorry but your order is now refunded - due to out of stock product.

I would like to know why my order was not pulled at the Fishers, Indiana and why they sold the product I had ordered to another person.

After waiting on hold for 40 minutes - Ebony - your supervisor said that no one at the company could help me out because it's company policy to sell product that was ordered online to customers in the store.

I just spent $4, 000 at IKEA in Fishers - poor customer service now - I will never shop at this store again!

Desired outcome: I want the dresser I ordered shipped to me.

IKEA Unprofessional customer service

Hello,

I ordered (#392133223) from IKEA a wardrobe scheduled for delivery August 1) between 8am-8pm and the delivery was automatically canceled without my consent, so I called IKEA to try to confirm that I home and do not cancel. The associate called at 1:44pm and I returned that call at 1:53pm but was on for 20 minutes. Meanwhile at 1:22pm, the driver from driver texted me letting me know that they would be at my house in 38mins I texted back at 1:52pm saying ok. Another text came in at 1:56pm saying they are arriving in 7 mins I replied ok still while I am on hold with IKEA waiting to tell them not to cancel the delivery. After driver didnt show up in 7 minutes my husband called the driver at 2:10pm at the number he texted me from and he said delivery was canceled. All this time goes by while I'm still waiting on hold to speak with a representative. I spoke to a gentlemen for 15 mins trying to understand what transpired and why my deliver was canceled and he said he didnt know so he transferred me to another lady that told me she could reschedule me after talking to her for 20 minutes she appears irate and told me if you need to reschedule call XPO [protected]. I asked her why I needed to go through delivery company to make an appointments this year she told me "no" and that is when I knew it was personal and she wasnt going to assist me any further. I called deliver copy and their sales representative directed me back to IKEA. I then spoke with a 3rd representative that said the delivery schedule is booked up through September, then she transferred me to a 4th representative name India who listened to my concerns and got me rebooked for August 16. This was the worst customer service I ever experienced. I have 2 toddlers and instead of enjoying time with them on Saturday I had to spend over 3 hours of being bounced around because no one understood my frustration and wanted to do their job.

IKEA Payment not received, scam and lies

Description of incident :
Very bad service, no idea about of dates of refund for our money.

We have been charged 409$ for a purchase that we have already returned to Ikea. The service representatives at the Ikea store at Iris St, Ottawa, gave us the wrong set of bed It has been a month now that we have not got our refund.
Such pathetic customer service, that every time we tried calling for our refund status, there is a different information set provided.
Starting in August 7th around, until today, they mentioned every time that we should be getting it by next week. By 30th July they said they have changed the refund type - from direct payment to our debit card to giving us Ikea credits [which we never asked for, neither was it discussed with us, and honestly who would shop with them after such a pathetic experience ?], but calling after a week after 30th July, we found it has not been shipped and there is no tracking number either provided to us even after requesting.

Date of incident - 8th July 2021, until today, it is continuing

IKEA Cabinet

July 20/21 Etobicoke Ontario. Bought 2 cabinets. One was for a friend but they would not let them pay separately as they put both on the same ticket although I told them we were not together. Had to wait 45 minutes to get cabinets after paying for it. One cheaper cabinet was ok except had to drill to get metal screws in. The other one when the box was opened had a broken glass shelf and the panels were all scarred and streaked. The photo does not really do it justice. Like they put an old beat up floor model in the box. A real bummer. I read many posts on how awful IKEA is with CS and to deal with for complaints and so for a $249 piece of junk I won't even bother. I just will never ever shop at IKEA again and will tell at least 10 people about this.

Desired outcome: Not worth my time to follow up for compensation. Will never shop at IKEA again.

IKEA Customer service

I have ordered today from Ikea Spain.

However, Ikea tells me the order is not accepted as I have NOT paid.
But I have!
I cant reorder unless my PayPay payment is refunded, of course.
I phone Customer Service, very long waiting, not very helpful, line was cut, tried four times, no use.
I try to send an e-mail. That is simply not possible. In this 21st century where e-mail is the default form of communication, one of the largest firms in the world does not have an e-mail address. I am baffled!

Desired outcome: That the order I paid for, gets delivered.

IKEA Product neither delivered nor refunded

I purchased several items from IKEA Perth, online, on May 19th 2021 including 2 sets of 3-Seater Stocksund Sofa covers in grey/beige.

The original order number was [protected] and I have no subsequent order numbers.

I had to call and change the colour of the covers immediately after purchase, as I realised they weren't immediately available. I chose the grey and was refunded for the difference in price only. I have a Property Staging business and needed the sofas in a hurry during a busy period. I was assured the covers would arrive by mail within a week, which they did not.

Eventually, I was contacted by a delivery driver who said she had been unable to deliver my order (I hadn't been informed it was going to be delivered on that day and wasn't available.) The driver informed me she was returning my order to the warehouse, which she considered to be the best course of action.

I have contacted IKEA 3 times since by phone and email but haven't had any satisfactory response. I have not received either the covers or a refund and have 2 sofas sitting in my warehouse that I am unable to use. I intend to return them.

I have a case number which is

I don't have a copy of the email I sent as it was through the IKEA mail site and I can't locate it.

Please can you advise me on how to proceed?

IKEA shelves

I ordered two shelves online from the Ikea website on May 27. Order number is [protected], the item is Utrusta Shelf(2 pack), delivery charge $9.99. I have an existing closet system (not from Ikea) and chose these shelves due to the published size (24x14 3/4). The shelves were delivered yesterday and the size was only 22 1/2 inches wide so they are unusable in my closet. I called Customer Service and the representative told me that the size posted on the website refers to the size of the Ikea closet system, not the actual size of the shelving. This was not referenced on the page I was looking at and the rep agreed there would be no way I could have known this.
I asked about returning, and he said I could take them back or ship them back for a refund. He said the original shipping cost would not be paid back to me. He said I could print a shipping label from the Ikea website and directed me to the location. When I initiated the return process I could not get a shipping label. I called customer service again and a different representative told me that IKEA no longer provides return shipping due to Covid. The only way to return was to pay for it myself or take it back to the store. This is unsatisfactory to me.

Desired outcome: I would like the entire cost plus shipping refunded to me because of the misleading dimensions listed on the website.

IKEA Shocking customer service

Firstly, I take exception to the ridiculously long phone queues, seems thirty minutes or more is par for the course. Secondly, that earsplitting din on hold would annoy even the most placid person. A number of other retailers do this, notably JB HiFi and a couple of sporting footwear companies. It most definitely does not appeal to me, in fact I have a habit of informing staff I will not tolerate disco music at dangerous volume, and promptly leave the store. Thirdly, when I placed a click and collect order, I had no way of knowing that a personal emergency would make it impossible for me to collect the items on the allocated day. When I requested a different day I was told that cannot be done, I'd need to cancel the order and create a new one. The staffer to whome I spoke was totally inflexible, his attitude was that customers must follow all Ikea rules. Needless to say, no other retailer would dare treat a long term customer with such disrespect. I see this is the epitome of ignorance and arrogance, and I certainly won't be recommending Ikea to anyone in the future. In times past I had been a regular customer and had recommended Ikea to many associates, and my immediate thought was that the staffer in question was having a bad day. On checking a number of review websites both in Australia and internationally however, I discovered that the name of Ikea is universally mud. Presumably the recent change of management has brought with it a desire to completely destroy everything that was once commendable about Ikea.

IKEA Management mistreat

Today June 2, 2021 11am I was at Ikea sunrise in Florida to return 4 boxes I purchased wrong size and a clock that never worked! I did not keep a receipt, I just want a store credit! The lady at TGE return was very rude, she said without a receipt I could not return TGE items? I got very upset since I always did and never someone told me I could not have a store credit without a receipt! Otherwise I would have kept the receipt! The manager came and started to treat me very badly! I want to record him and he called TGE security. He said he would not give a store credit, he said they can choose to whomever they want to give a store credit without receipt! The security was very nice but agreed with him. It is ridiculous a store like IKEA giving such power to their employees specialty the ones who do not know how to handle customers! I have an IKEA family card for 30 years and never knew what it was for I asked the cashier and she told me they are supposed to keep my receipts on file. If this manager should have told me I did not have to go to such aggravation. It was a very stressful situation I do not want another person to go through. I hope something will be done with those 2 employees so they will learn to respect their customers and help them with a solution not giving them the impossibility and making us to feel like we are a zero! Thanks

IKEA Service - products and false commitments

There are many furniture stores providing excellent customer service - they vaue their customers now - no more ikea - I regret I chose ikea

First of all I am certain that ikea might be getting lots of complaints - and this complaint section is just a punching bag for "dissatisfied - frustrated customers" to release their frustrations. It will fall flat - its just an eye wash

Ikea has grown in past few years - so big that company does not care if a few customers are unhappy - dissatisfied - their orders were not fulfilled and so much so customer duty managers - are unreachable and don't have time to walk up to the customers & listen to their issues.

Ikea needs to stop tall talk audio promotion when people call over phone - (that too it takes nearly 40 - 45 mnts for someone to answer - then customer is put on hold again for 20 odd mnts)

Issue is ikea has really grown and it does not affect if a few customers are "dissatisfied - frustrated" coz there are people out there looking for economical furniture's - they have no choice than to buy from ikea.

Now - no more ikea - I regret I chose ikea

IKEA Kooper microwave

Hello,

We purchased a Kooper microwave at the IKEA in Rishon LeZion last week. Once we arrived home, we unboxed it to discover that the microwave was completely smashed in in the back, due to what appears to be negligent handling in the warehouse. We returned last week to exchange it for a new one. We live in Tel Aviv so it is an hour long round trip. Once we arrived home, we plugged the second one in to find that this unit was also broken (it looked fine externally but would not turn on). So IKEA sold us TWO broken microwaves in the span of a week. When we called to tell the store, we were told that we would again have to drive the hour long trip to return it, which is completely unreasonable as they obviously should have come to collect it.

When I arrived at the store to return it, the shift supervisor Shachaf was surly, openly rude, unreasonable, and completely unwilling to help. She told me that "IKEA isn't liable for the products we sell" and that I should contact the manufacturer to return it instead, despite being completely incorrect in regards to IKEA's liability and return policy. I think she told me this due to laziness as it didn't seem like she wanted to process the return. After I explained to her that this is not how stores work, she acquiesced and returned it. Basically, this was the most unreasonable customer service experience I have ever received and I am completely livid with the hassle I went through, quality of products I received, and treatment I received on behalf of the staff at this particular store.

IKEA Service

My advice, don't buy anything from IKEA. Their product is inferior, order and payment processes are clumsy and deceptive and their customer service is basically missing in action. I went to their Calgary store today to purchase and pickup a bookcase. I got there, the line-up was long and it was rainy and cold. I decided to use Click and Curbside pickup to avoid the cold. I am old and suffer from pneumonia. I ordered it online using my smartphone and chose curbside pickup for the $5.00 fee. My order was processed successfully and my credit card charged including the curbside fee. I texted them for pickup and they said that I ordered for next day pickup. This is a lie. On the online app there is a very obscure line (drop-down text box, the service manager showed me later) that asked you when you will pick it up. It is not obvious and it defaults to the next day unknown to me. This is ridiculous. I waited in the lot for a long time, texting them and they asked me to come back the next day. I chose online pickup for the very reason of convenience and timeliness. None of their advertising, either in store, online or curb signs indicate that you cannot pick it up the same day you ordered. The order confirmation and invoice was immediate, yet I never received confirmation that my order was available for pickup until five hours later. I have been charged the fee for no value received. IKEA is a bunch of cavalier crooks. They will squeeze any penny from you without any additional value provided. I will never buy anything from them again. Prior to this incident, I purchased two bookshelves in-store from them this week and this would have been my third one. Never again. Their customer service was cavalier about it didn't seem to give a damn about any help or refund of my $5.00 fee for which I received zero value. Not to mention, I have to repaint the first bookcase I purchased because the paint is coming off where slivers of wood are chipping off. My advice, don't buy anything from IKEA. Their product is inferior, order and payment processes are clumsy and deceptive and their customer service is basically missing in action. I spent the whole day attempting to buy this product with no result in the end. These guys are a complete waster of time. I am convinced that this is part of their business plan; low prices, pay your people poor wages, low quality products and inferior, untrained and unskilled customer service staff. You get what you pay for, nothing! Go to a value store instead.

Desired outcome: Refund my $5.00 at least and fix my bookcase paint.

IKEA bed

i went to the conshocken store to purchase the Brimmes queen bed with slates and headboard in gray 193.248.63. that was January 2021 i was told it would be in by February 2021, went back number of time with no results! I put my number and email to be notified when back in stock. the only email or text i get is not available. I have call customer service to buy and have it delivered i was told they cannot send me out a bed if they have less then two in the store! If i am buying it what does that matter! I have been waiting 5 months now for this bed, I don't understand why it is taken forever to come in! How and when can I get this bed> my email is linda.[protected]@comcast.net [protected]. IKEA Cuisine et Plan de Travail

J'écris en tant que client IKEA de longue date pour me plaindre d'une situation très stressante et totalement inacceptable avec mon récent achat d'une cuisine. J'ai commandé une cuisine complète en ligne chez IKEA Dijon, France le 17/03/2021. Votre agent commercial m'a conseillé en ligne de passer une commande auprès de DIJON car c'était apparemment le plus rapide dans les conditions de confinement Covid. Voici ce qui s'est passé:

04/02/2021 - Cuisine principale livrée.
19/4/2021 - ÉCHEC à livrer le plan de travail de la cuisine
24/4/2021 - ÉCHEC à livrer le plan de travail de la cuisine
30/4/2021 - ÉCHEC à livrer le plan de travail de la cuisine
18/5/2021 - Reprogrammation AUTOMATIQUEMENT pour la livraison du plan de travail.

À aucun moment, personne d'IKEA ne m'a contacté pour m'expliquer pourquoi la livraison n'est pas arrivée trois fois de suite. J'ai perdu énormément de mon temps personnel et j'ai commencé à souffrir de problèmes de santé importants dus au stress. J'ai une cuisine totalement non fonctionnelle car mon évier et mes plaques de cuisson ne peuvent pas être installés. J'ai perdu la disponibilité de la personne qui faisait la queue pour faire le dessus de la cuisine et mon carreleur.

J'attends la livraison de l'article ci-dessus dans les 48 heures suivant la réception de cet e-mail ou un remboursement complet du montant. Sinon, j'irai à la presse et à d'éventuelles poursuites judiciaires pour récupérer mon argent.

I am writing as a long-time IKEA customer to complain about a very stressful, and totally unacceptable situation with my recent purchase of a kitchen. I ordered a complete kitchen on-line from IKEA Dijon, France on 17/03/2021. I was advised on-line by your Sales Agent to order from DIJON because it was apparently the quickest under Covid Confinement conditions. The following is what happened:

2/4/2021 - Main kitchen delivered.
19/4/2021 - FAILURE to deliver kitchen worktop
24/4/2021 - FAILURE to deliver kitchen worktop
30/4/2021 - FAILURE to deliver kitchen worktop
18/5/2021 - AUTOMATICALLY reschedules for delivery of worktop.

At no point did anyone from IKEA contact me to explain why the delivery did not arrive three times in a row. I have wasted enormous amounts of my personal time and have started to suffer significant health issues from the stress. I have a totally non-working kitchen since my sink and cooking rings cannot be installed. I have lost the availability of the person who was lined up to do the kitchen-top and my tiler.

I expect either delivery of the above item within 48 hours of receiving this email or a full-refund of the amount. If not, I will be going to the Press and possible legal action to get back my money.
