all inclusive vacation
I called on booking two groups on Thursday oct 13 to hotel villas playa samara costa rica 5 for thursday nov 17 and 4 for nov 18 flight with air canada for 974.00 was told it was unavailable only a flight with sunwing was available 1420 and she could give me a 3 person in room for 1310. this was still too expensive. so there were no other all inclusive going to costa rica for those dates we then called back to book a different resort which took from 930 am to 6 pm to finish the booking. It has today Oct 17/16 now magically reappeared for 974. Again i feel mislead by your company and would very much like to have this changed back to where we a group wanted to go in the first place I've been told we'd lose 50 % of our money to switch but this shouldn't be because its the same flight # dates and times and the place we asked for reservations in the beginning
ripoff
My husband and I ensured to call in a couple of weeks before the delayed honeymoon trip and we talked to a customer service representative from Itravel2000 regarding a week long vacation package from Toronto to Dominican Republic. We already made the payments over the phone for both the plane and all-inclusive stay. However, when we called in to remind them to send our tickets - the representative said that ONLY one plane ticket was issued and that only one of us could go for the full 7 days that we BOTH paid for. Their best offer was for one of us to go on time on a Friday, and the other partner to go on Monday for our own honeymoon. There was no way we would go on the honeymoon without each other for even a day! No one bothered to call prior to this conversation, no emails - nothing, we only found out when we called in to remind them to send the tickets to us closer to the date. Needless, to say HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE, SUPER HORRENDOUS experience. NEVER booked/booking with them again!
unflexible, strict no-change policies — be careful
Though the prices are competitive and it's nice to use Petro-Points, BE VERY CAREFUL when booking through this company. I booked a Sunwing trip to Cancun through itravel2000. A week before my vacation, I read multiple very bad reviews about the hotel I had booked. I was hoping to make a simple change to a different resort (same flight, same dates, no other changes). However, they were not understanding and would not make ANY changes to the reservation. I was told by Sunwing that if I had booked directly with them, they would be able to help me but itravel2000 has strict policies. Save the trouble and avoid this company as the middle man!
refusl to honour policies
I checked WestJet's rates from Ottawa to Vancouver for September 4-9 and then called Holly Fisher at Itravel 2000 to see if she could match it plus honour WestJet's policies regarding refund or changes. She said "YES". I should mention that I have booked trips down south (Mexico/Dominican Republic) for the past 3 or more years and in this case wanted to give my business to Itravel 2000 (I also purchased cancellation insurance at an extra cost).
As it happened my sister in Winnipeg with whom I was sharing hotel accommodation became unfit to travel--she has a broken ankle. When I emailed Holly to explain the circumstances and that in view of now having to bear on my own the $150.00 per night hotel rate (6 nights) at the Ocean Promenade in White Rock, B.C., could I change the date to September 5-9, she called me to say "NO". Her explanation was that to get the cheapest WestJet rate at the time of booking (the rate has since gone down which is guaranteed by WestJet to match if price falls), she had to go through a "CO-ORDINATOR" who refused to honour any of WestJet's policies--CONTRARY TO WHICH SHE ASSURED ME ITRAVEL 2000 WOULD. WHY THE NEED FOR A CO-ORDINATOR WHEN I FOUND THE PRICE ON MY OWN ON THE INTERNET?
I called WestJet to explain and they took down full notes and advised me to call the Itavel 2000 supervisor and ask for a tape of our conversation wherein Holly assured me WestJet's policies would be honoured, on which strength I made the booking. I did so and instead of the supervisor calling me back and verifying the taped assurance, Holly called me back and reiterated that my only option was to lose the entire $813.00 plus travel insurance of $56.00 and then fight with the insurance company for reimbursement! Really!
I called WestJet back and explained all of this and in 5 minutes they took over my booking and made the change requested, and did not charge a change fee for doing so. My respect for Westjet soared; my respect for Itravel 200 has gone.
The lesson here is that you cannot trust what Itravel 2000's agents promise.
price drop scam
Price drop protection is a scam. I booked early because of their heavily advertised price drop protection, 10 days later, the identical trip package dropped $300!
Of course itravel2000.com did not issue me a refund, nor did they let me cancel my booking so I could re-book at the cheaper rate. They claimed although it is the same vacation package, the flights are not at the same times therefore they cannot refund the difference.
Tell you what, I've booked with them before in the past, but this time is the last.

misrepresentation of plane ticket
Originally, Itravel issued a wrong invoice on Dec 11, 2013
Cancun (CUN) 21-Feb-14 12:00 PM Toronto Pearson (YYZ) 22-Feb-14 04:45 PM TS 00521
How can a direct flight from Cancun to Toronto take 28 hrs:45 min?
The whole reason I chose this flight was becasue I saw the landing time in Toronto is 4:25pm on Feb.22 and therefore would leave Cancun at about 12pm that same day. Not the day before!
Simple typo on iTravel's part leads me to shorten my full paid vacation from 7 to 6 days.
After 43 days, I received a letter called non-negotiable Flight time change:
21 FEB CUN 12:00 YYZ 16:45
My family's 7 days vacation has been reduced to 5.5 days Why? I have booked accommodation for 7 days how can my flight be for 5.5 days?
It does not make sense.
Please contact me regarding corrective actions.
We too booked a 7day vacation threw Itravel and our flight time from Toronto was to ne 6:15 am, got changed to 5pm...but still leave Puerto Plata same time do we lose 2 full days...and price was not changed!
I booked 2 months ago round trips for 2 people between Toronto - Europe for which I paid 2500, through itravel2000.com.
I cannot cancel these tickets even if I am willing to pay penalty fees. So I paid all the money for nothing!
best way to do anything is through a travel agent, face to face.
that way you know whats going on.
your agent will take care of any problems that may arise, where as the internet guys will be nowhere to be found when a problem arises.
We used them last year and the whole thing was off beam. This year booked directly through theholidayhotels.com and it was a little better.
charged exorbitant service fee without breakdown or explanation
I purchased a return ticket from Halifax, NS, Canada to Mumbai, India on 2nd September 2013 for the flight departing on the same day due to a family medical emergency. I called itravel2000.com and an agent Ms. Varsha Sethi attended my call to book the ticket. She said the total charge for the ticket would be $2981.74 which will include some charges that would have to be processed by itravel2000.com in-house, so I was not provided with the actual breakdown of the charges. I had to leave due to an emergency, so I did not stress upon that issue at that time.
Upon reviewing my credit card statement, I saw $2350.74 charged for the ticket and $631 charged as a service fee according a response that I received from itravel2000.com customer service email. Upon registering my experience with itravel2000's facebook page, my post was removed from their page and I received a call from Ms. Mona from itravel2000.com. She said that the invoice is a legal document and that my complaint would be of no use. I did not deny the acceptance of the total charges, but I requested for a breakdown of $631, upon which she tried to explain me about high airport taxes, etc. I told her that I have an e-ticket receipt for $2350.74 and it mentions that it includes all taxes, fees, and carrier surcharges. She avoids the subject and says that the agent Ms. Varsha Sethi only charged me $31-$32 as booking fees, but she did not provide me with an explanation of why the additional $600 were charged. I sent her the e-ticket. I haven't heard from Ms. Mona or itravel2000 since.
That's going against TICO protocol.
All prices need to state the appropriate taxes.
And there has to be a breakdown of all taxes and fees.
Currently a Travel Student and preparing for my TICO exam...do not use Itravel EVER nothing but problems.
did not cancel my trip after I asked them too
Hi Buchta trip with Hetal ( ex 2138 ) back in January and unfortunately I had to cancel due to my grandfathers death I emailed her the day before to cancel mine and my boyfriends trips and went through everything with my insurance company to get my money back and lo and behold she never ended up canceling my trip I'm not sure if she forgot or what happened. I have been waiting since the March 28, 2013 for a note from either Sunwing or I travel and to this day have not received anything therefore I have not received my money back it is a big hoax do not book with Hetal! My insurance company was kind enough to say that we just needed a note stating that we did not show and I told this to hetal and it is been three weeks now and I've not received any note yet and I left her messages through email and voicemail countless times and she has been very unprofessional and has not message to me back. I don't know if she's playing games but i advise all of you never to book with her she's very unprofessional very unorganized and if you have to cancel she will forget so do not book with Hetal if you want a successful trip.

cheap for a reason
I booked with itravel2000 for the first time and will never do it again. I booked a trip to Las Vegas with 3 other woman. I called a travel agent to book our flight. We told him we wanted a 3 day trip with a reliable airline. When we got to the airport we found out our flight was delayed 7 hours. We also had to pay for our luggage which we were unaware of. We bought tickets that night to see a show so we missed it. We didn't end up getting to our hotel in Vegas until 4:00 am which is 7:00 am our time, so our 3 day trip that we paid for turned to a 2. When we called itravel they were very rude and said it is not their problem. I even asked to speak to a manager and they said there manager was not there. It was a horrible experience and I hope no one makes the mistake we did by choosing itravel2000.

booking incorrect room
This is the worse travelagency I ver used. Stay away from them! They guaranteed us room with 2 double beds at time of booking and when we got there we got only 1 bed in a room for 2 women and a child. When we called them they told us to enjoy vacation. We filed official complain with them when we came back and they defended themselfs that they never guaranteed the 2 double beds in a room. 2 women in 1 bed and a child does not seem Canadian Standard...We will never use them again.

scam artists
I booked a trip to Mexico leaving March 15 and specifically to come back March 23 so I can get an extra day ... My flight was changed .. I recieved an email confirmation about the inbound flight and nothing about the outbound flight .. I went to check the flight time in the morning of the day leaving and found out that that flight was changed aswell from 5 pm to 10 am that morning . I called I travel and they told me that it was my resposability to check and yes I understand that so not only did I have to pay 350 to get on the next days flight I also lost a day since they did not let me stay an extra day . I have spoken to various people and all told me that ALL ther managers are ib the middle of important thing asnd could not be pulled away . One of them cofirmed to me that the flight change notification was also send out to the agent I booked with but since she had a day off I never got any call . They kept telling me I missed my flight because I did not check how about the fact that you have to reply to the email and confirm that you recieved the changes and I only replied to on since I only got one.. Buttom line is these people do not want to meet me half way and do anything whatsoever for me .. I travel 2000 is rude, unprefessional and never will I use them again. This is not my first trip and Im very well of how all this works . Do not use them period.
Not only that but this guys are such sharks. You get online to book a vacation, you check the price and agree about it because it fits your pocket. Save the search and go home few hours later, the price has gone up more than 25 %. Shame. I heard this bloodsuckers move the price up and down by the clicks of the mouse. Is impossible to find the same price two days in the row. I will never book anything with them. They SUCK !
overcharged
Was overcharged by $20 bucks, talked to 5 different people, on hold for over an hour...ALL FOR $20 bucks, after 2 weeks still not rectified, people on the phone just transferred me around like a hot potatoe...for 20 bucks..really. WILL NEVER BOOK WITH THESE PEOPLE AGAIN, it's not the money, it's the principle.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
I have been over charged $120 and nothing has been done as of yet. I feel you pain and will never use iTravel2000 for any services in the future. They promise to call back but nothing. I called several times and they say that they are looking into it. Maybe they will but I highly doubt it. It's sad that a company will lose a customer for $20 in your case and $120 in my case. Unbelievable! Maybe they will redeem themselves today... I don't know. I will update when and if they do.
overcharged and no refund
I booked with ITRAVEL2000, the night before and the price changed (less than half price) and they didn't want to do anything with it, did not refund any thing. Please check some other travel agency's moneyback guarantee if the price go lower: Domestic Flights:

Your protection per person is unlimited and you can grab a deal up until the time your flight departs.
International Flights:

Your protection is up to a maximum of $100 per person and you can grab a deal up until the time your flight departs.

Your protection is unlimited. Price Drops on Vacation packages cannot be claimed within 31 days prior to departure.

mine dropped 120 and they did nothing
Did the same to me all they said we will take care of you on the next flight. LIARS
if they did not honor their price match guarentee or price drop protection and you printed the price as proof and it is the exact same package-you can contact your bank who will do a chargeback on the merchant for the price difference since it is not as described and false advertising. You do usually require proof in order for your chargeback to be accepted and then they will chargeback the merchant (aka Itravel) for the difference.
fraud
This is my second complaint on same agency. Now the price has dropped $600.00 on the package that I purchased - I tried to claim - no soprry you can't do - you have 30 days before the trip to cliam (my trip leave on March 30 - today is March 1) but the wasy they count the days last day to cliam was Feb 27- too bad sucker fooled you again.

price beat guarantee and their false advertizing
I booked through ITRAVEL2000 website and the price dropped overnight $50. They bluntly charged the price and refuse to do anything about price adjustment, they said the price only dropped by $50 and there is nothing they are going to do about it. I think their advertizing is very fake: "FIGHTING HARD TO SAVE YOU MONEY", instead it should read: "FIGHTING HARD TO GRAB MONEY FROM YOU WITHOUT ANY DELIGENCE TO THE CUSTOMERS"
I will not be booking anymore through ITRAVEL2000,
PEOPLE BEWARE OF THEM AND THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE

mine dropped by $100 and instead they said call us on the next flight we will take care of you
price drop protection
Price Drop Protection on itravel 2000 is just a scam to get the business. I booked 30 days ago at an Adults only facility, I specifically asked about the price protection I was booking early so that we would be able to get an adults only resort. The package I was sold was for a Superior Suite no other accomodation was listed on the site save villas with private pools - that I did not want. Within 3 weeks the package droped in price by $150 per person, when I applied for the price drop protection I was told that this was only for the Deluxe suites, the difference being only slightly larger in size - I was never even told about the deluxe suites - so now one can book 40 days out before the departure date and get a larger suite for $150 less - I will never book with this organization again - fraud artists of the highest order.
These people are totally without scruples, they will knowingly sell ticket that are invalid for the purpose for which they were purchased. Left stranded in the Middle East and had to purchase a new ticket for the return despite making it perfectly clear to the agent selling the ticket that the itinerary should be flexible. Anyone purchasing tickets from these people should exercise extreme caution
last minute cancellation
On October 25, 2011 I booked a week long vacation for Dec 27-Jan 3 with iTravel2000 to Mexico. I received notification of a change in flight times Nov. 4, and my itinerary was electronically sent Nov.10. On it was information about printing off my e-tickets 7-10 days in advance. I printed the ticket on Dec. 20 and anticipated my vacation. At 6pm on Dec.22 I received an e-mail from iTravel2000 that my trip was cancelled. I have a narrow window for my vacations and asked if they could re-book in that time period. The earliest was Jan 13. The Tour operator Thomas Cook Travel said that the flight schedule on that particular day was cancelled Nov. 11, and that they had notified iTravel2000 at that time. One representative at iTravel2000 claimed they sent out a notification, and when pushed on this, said i should call back. Another claimed they just received the cancellation notice. Needless to say, I was not able to take my trip, and my travel companion, (who wisely booked with another company), had to spend time in Mexico by herself. I hope others will avoid this company, as they did not even bother to offer some type of compensation for their error.

price protection guarantee a scam
I booked a trip with itravel2000's "Price Protection Guarantee". Then a few days later the trip went down by $170 per person. When I called itravel2000 for my refund I was told that I did not quatlify for it because the hotel was booked, even though they had advertised it. In the guarantee clause it states same room type, same meal plan, same flight, same hotel, same date; no where does it say subject to availability. I tried to get the logic behind the availibility because why do I care if there is availability, I already have a room. They make it impossible to receive complaints, they don't publish thier email addresses - only one for customer service for people who have already done their trip. I mailed a letter and emailed the customer service twice and have never received a response. I will never book through itravel2000 again. And I travel a lot!
I'm going through the same thing as my family trip went down by $500.00 and was told the same thing. I will never deal with Itravel2000 ever again. They are totally misleading the public with their best price BS...
error in e-ticket
I booked a return ticket to Panama City for a friend and because I was paying with my own credit card, I was forced to deal with a live travel agent over the phone. I had sent detailed written (and accurate) information and spelled out my friend's name very carefully over the phone when dealing with the agent. Itravel2000 sent me the itinerary by email two days afterwards, with my friend's name misspelled. The same day I left a voice mail in the agent's mail box and followed up with an email to him and to [protected]@itravel2000.com
Three days later, no response. After three days, I called and I was told that the mistake could not be fixed and that the could not guarantee that my friend would be allowed on the plane. $1000 out the window because G. Alfaro, agent at itravel.com mispelled the name on the e-ticket. This is completely unacceptable. if you read this NEVER BUY anything at all from itravel2000.com
Customer care is non existent at itravel2000.com
misrepresentation
The bottom line with itravel2000 is if the don’t deliver what they promise, and bill you otherwise, is it really a deal; or bait and switch?
When you look on their website (Toronto) you will not find the names of managers, or persons you can resolve complaints with. Your complaint just goes to customer service. They report having over 100 agents; good luck with the follow-up. Consequently, I emailed EVERYONE posted on their website, multiple times, and I am no closer to resolution. I am drafting a formal complaint with the Toronto Metropolitan Police, Fraud Squad, TICO, VISA, and the Ministry of Consumer Services. Ultimately we may end up in small claims court; itravel2000 could be renamed to itravel-to-court-2011.
If I knew now, what I didn’t know then, I would have booked with another travel agency.
Sincerely,
James Harris
I wish I have read the reviews on this site before booking with itravel2000, it was a complete nightmare booking a trip with them. They do a lot of advertising so you'd think they are a reputable travel agency and thus their service is reasonable? Wrong! The post sale service is horrible, their agent is very irresponsible, once you book the trip with them, if you have questions, you have to email or call many times to get an answer. Also the agents made lots of mistakes on the names and invoices and if you don't keep reminding them, they will not send you all the required travel documents/ tickets. The customer care department is completely useless, they do not care about customer complaints, they ignored those complaints. I traveled very often and this was my first time booking with itravel2000 and it will for sure be my last one. Don't be fooled by their promotions, those extra savings are not worthy the extra headaches you are going to have dealing with the customer service (which does not exist) later on!
I have booked 4 trips in a year with itravel2000 and will never again as 2 of the trips were either booked incorrectly or itravel2000 requested additional funds to produce tickets after providing me with a paid invoice for services. Trip 1 was a simple 2 week holiday in Mexico, we added an additional person for the 1st week. They booked the additional person on the wrong date so when I called to have the mistake taken care of they told me I have to pay a change fee if I want what I booked and had a receipt for. I paid the change fee and then when I arrived at the hotel the changes were not made, I had to deal with the hotel myself. Trip 2 was an airline ticket for which I was provided a receipt, when I couldn't print my ticket I called and they said my ticket wasn't issued yet and that I had to pay more now. The receipt did not say this is what you paid "subject to rate increases if we forget to ticket" so I fought for 2 days with them and they finally issued my ticket for the agreed price. NOT COOL.
emails sent to itravel2000.com are routinely ignored, you can never get anyone to hear or address your complaints. customercare@itravel2000.com is completely useless. If you read this before you purchase your ticket, I advise you strongly NOT TO purchase it from itravel2000.com
You will be sorry if you do
Have to agree with Nate1 - if you are going to post that type of accusation online, its only seems fair to include the details supporting it? Not to say that you weren't in fact wronged but failing to support your complaints with details or facts does not help anyone reading your comments...
What did they promise? Or what did they not deliver? I am looking at the website now and your explanation just seems vague or generalized, I realized on purpose, so as (I'm assuming avoid identifiable details). But how did they scam you? I believe they did, just give me details.
The Rent is too damn high
what was the actual problem? jw
