Jewel-Osco review: Checkout discrimination/defamation of character security

Upon visiting this jewel location i stopped inside to purchase a few items for a single mother and her child I seen sitting outside the jewel as well as for my mother that’s currently suffering from stage 4 cancer . While getting the items checked out by the employee in check out I noticed another customer with a specific item I had interest in so i grabbed the item asked the employee to scan it because i wanted to switch the one I picked out back so after scanning and me placing it back to the other customer. I paid for my items and walked back to freezer to grab the item I had the employee switch out and scan ,as i was walking back to the front I ran into an old friend we hugged and started catching up as I was walked to confirm the switched out items I had paid for , when getting by her register I showed her the item to confirm and she nodded then out of no where while attempting to leave with my friend I just caught up with in jewel I was brutally attacked by a undercover security for defamation of character by “ accusing me of theft “ with aggressive force , grabbing my arms to snatch my bags out my hand and telling me to leave for stealing, I politely refused to leave because I needed to proof my Innocence with receipts, after reaching in my bag that was thrown on the ground with my items by security) to get my receipts I was being called a theft by the security and was told because of the way my approach was in the store while purchasing items they assumed I was stealing, the security guards apologized and saying he assumed I was stealing because of my bag I was carrying, I yelled out and said that’s discriminating me and you just embarrassed me your wrong , so he throws my coffee cream on the ground and walks off , I was so embarrassed and stressed out I had a nervous breakdown and had to calll the police because of the way I was attacked and approached . There’s no rules or signs that says customers cannot bring they own shopping bags ! I did nothing wrong ,That’s not a professional way to handle any kind of person. I spoke with management about it and was giving a 20$ gift card , that’s insane and not fair to my rights as person or customer , I tried my best to be compliance with the management by accepting the card because two wrongs don’t make a right but I will not spending that gift card or my money in that store ever again. The police told me this issue is civil for slander and I just don’t feel like it’s fair how I was attacked and discriminated by defamation of character because of a assumption .
