My sister and my girlfriend had issues with each other, but they both worked at Jimmy johns in Terre haute. The one on Wabash. To avoid this problem, my girlfriend worked night shift because she doesn't want conflict. My sister would come in almost every time she knew my girlfriend was working and basically stalked her. There's been charges filed against...

I worked for 3 days driving in Spartanburg I was deducted for a hat and shirt which I returned the day I quit. The shirt I got was dirty and small because you didn't have a size I requested and then you asked me to come in and then had me sit and study a menu for an hour but didn't pay me. I think that I am owed money for at least an hour and the uniform return.

I worked at Spartanburg location on Pine Street for three days as a driver for you. The first day you asked me to come in and then he had me sit there for one hour starting a menu and wouldn't punch me in so I think that was wrong I should've been paid for the hour that you asked me to come in. Then I returned the shirt and hat the day I left because the shirt you gave me anyway it was dirty and too small and then you deducted me anyway. I think I at least deserve to have that hat and shirt money that you deducted but my paycheck returned back to me

treatment
I was an employee at Terre Haute, IN stores and I loved working at Jimmy Johns but what made me hate it was the owner of the store. He picked at me until I reacted and fired me. BUT he didn't even have the balls to fire me to my face because he knew he was wrong. I've busted my [censored] for this job and I got kicked out over something so little. General Manager...

I ordered three subs an hour and 45 minutes ago for me and my two kids, I was told two times over 30 minute span that the order was on its way and there's nothing that they can do because it's game day. The franchisee a.k.a. the owner Braxton Turner hung up on me three times without even trying to attempt to resolve the issue. He challenged me To file a complaint because he said there was nothing that I could do and I'm livid. I want this resolved immediately or I'll make sure that everybody I know and my hundred thousand followers on Instagram know not to shop with your establishment. My email address is [protected]@gmail.com and I need to talk to someone immediately. I am not the type of guy to complain or file complains ever but this was unbelievable

customer service
I've been here 2 times the first time I asked for the lettuce to be put on the side because it was for me to eat later for lunch at work so the lettuce gets nasty if you put it on the sandwich and eat it hours later so the first time they put it on the side for me so today was my second time back and I asked for the lettuce on the side and the guy behind the counter said they don't put lettuce on the side the young lady at the register never got to say anything and she was the one that put the lettuce on the side for me the first time but I explained about the first time his jerk said he doubts if they put it on the side the first time i don't understand if I'm spending my money here why I can't get what I'm asking for it takes a few seconds to put it on the side so why is it so hard the customer service sucks
valdosta, ga store incident
Let me start off by saying that I was not there, so can not attest to the situation 100%. That being said, I saw what was posted on social media and I have heard from an employee who has since quit because of the incident and did not want to notify corporate because they fear repercussion.
I work in HR, and if this would have happened where I work (or hopefully anywhere else), it would be cause for immediate termination. It is unacceptable behavior and I hope, for the victim's sake especially, that it is handled appropriately and quickly.
A few nights ago, three employees thought it would be humorous to play a prank on an African-American employee, by dressing up like the KKK and scaring the employee. Then, if that wasn't bad enough, They take pictures and post it on social media.
Whether this was intended to only be a joke, I feel it was taken to far and feel for the employee that was the victim. I love Jimmy John's and want to continue eating there. I have no issues with the ones in my hometown. However, if this is not handled, I will not continue to support Jimmy John's and will let everyone know why. I'm sure that doesn't mean anything, after all, I am only one person. However, I think it will end up hurting Jimmy John's as a whole, in the long run, when enough people hear about it.
unethical behaviour
My name is Deanna Anderson. I reside in Opelousas, LA. I've been riding around town in search of a part-time job. I noticed there was a For Hire sign located at your business. On September 14, 2018 at 3:21 I called to inquire about the position they were hiring for. A male subject answered the phone. I asked him if they were still hiring. He paused, then said, "all positions were filled". When I hung the phone up with him, I called my daughter. I asked her to call Jimmy John's and ask them if they were still hiring. She did just that, and to my surprise the male subject told her the positions were not filled. He went on to tell her what position needed to be filled, which was a driver and something else. He told her the hours they were hiring for. He also told her she needed to go into the business to fill out an application. After she was done with him, she called me and told me what occurred. I then called back to the business at 4:30 and the same male answered the phone. I told him I got my daughter to call and ask the same question I asked. I asked him did I sound too black? He paused then said, "you can come in and fill out an application". I told him I was no longer interested. I told him I should go public with what happened and he stated, "Go Ahead"! I then called corporate and the female told me to report it, do a survey. I was really hurt and disappointed.
area manager being absolutely ridiculous
I worked at Jimmy Johns, I was the first, I tried calling out of work the next day because I was sick and throwing up constantly, I couldn't call so I texted my area manger that I couldn't work the next day because I was sick I can't make it in and I don't know who to find to cover my shift. First He Said to talk to my gm & my gm said he wasn't going to work tomorrow & that I was trying to force him to work witch I was not. Instead of him helping me find someone to cover me he just Insisted on my having to work regardless and tried using my "track records" has something to force me into working still. Honestly that's ridiculous and I shouldn't of had to put up with that. I guess be careful eating at a jimmy johns because there employees might me sick because there being forced to work anyways. I was certified too and I felt bad for quitting because of all that money spent on me for it to and my area manger pissed all that money away on his owe I'm not gonna work for a company that's gonna force you to work sick especially around food. Disgusting!
This is Very True, I was a GM for Jimmy John's and a 1st Assistant. It's very hard to find coverage if your sick and they pretty much force you to work even when you are sick. I always helped my employees find someone to cover them.
delivery in rock falls, il
I have ordered from Jimmy John's in Rock Falls IL in the past quite a few times for my children to have delivered to their school. Not only once or twice but three times it was messed up leaving one or more of my kids without lunch. They would give an apology but never a solution. Once the branch did refund me, but now I cannot rely on them for this service. It is too bad as it is my kids' favorite place to get lunch from.
customer service
I placed a large telephone order for my staff with Tyler at the E. State Street Rockford IL location. We picked up the order and later discovered that the order was not fulfilled correctly, we contacted the E. State store and explained that we were missing items, Tyler (who took our order) and Johnny kept denying that our order was not complete. After numerous phone calls and terrible customer service our order was finally fulfilled but was 45 minutes late and cost us about $55.00 more than what we were told. The customer service was awful, Tyler and Johnny were very harsh, mean and disrespectful to customers. Jimmy Johns has lost my personal business and my corporate business as I will not patronize a business that allows employees to treat customers this way.
agm at omaha location
I am an employee at one of the Omaha Jimmy Johns locations and I usually love my job. Over the course of my employment the experience has been getting worse and worse due to one of my managers. He continually harasses the women who work there. He has touched my butt on more than one occasion, and makes unnecessary remarks to me about my personal life. I have gone to the GM and upper level management, but since they're all friends, they think he is just kidding. I don't want to quit this job over a manager, but I have done it before. I just want something to be done.
owner/manager behavior
I was a delivery driver for the Jimmy John's store at 4261 South Buckley Road in Aurora Colorado. I texted my manager, Courtney, Friday June 1st at 11:21 AM. I told her my girlfriend, Sara, had gotten me sick. I asked who could cover my shift at 5:00 PM. I received 4 names, an hour later. I contacted 3 of the 4, 1 of which never responded, the other 2 both said they couldn't. I didn't communicate that to the store, I went to sleep to get well again to avoid missing more work. Sara had made an appointment with her doctor on Monday. at 5:02 PM Courtney texted me saying "What's going on? where are you or some one else?". The other manager on shift was Connor Shultz who called and texted me at 5:07 PM saying "Yo where you at?". Why would they be asking where I am if they knew I was sick. There was no other communication on either side. Until I texted Courtney the next morning, Saturday June 2nd, at 12:53 PM. I said "Sorry about last night. I fell asleep and didn't hear my phone. Hopefully you guys wern't too busy. I didn't come in because I don't want contaminate food, co-workers, and customers. I'm still sick but feeling better, I will be there for my shift tonight". At 1:58 she responded with "I totally understand not contaminating people and food but you no called-no showed..". How did I quit by calling in sick? I asked at 2:01, "So I was supposed to show up anyway?". At 2:08, she responded with, "You are well aware of how things work. And all we ask is for communication to know what's going on & could have helped find a cover or what not. It's too late now to communicate about the uncovered shift yesterday." . I responded at 2:11 saying "I communicated that I need the shift covered, and asked who could, and I texted them to try it get covered and no one could or didn't respond. I'm sorry I didn't communicate that to you, but you can't say I completely blew off work." . At 2:16, she responded with "I had no idea if anyone was contacted, if anyone was coming in etc. 5 pm rolls around and no one knows what going on & no one can get a hold of you so yeah you basically did. I'm sorry but it's not like this is a new concept. You know how it works." I then asked, "So Im supposed to show up sick?". Her response was "Like I said you are supposed to communicate what's going on so we can all be on the same page and figure it out before the shift starts. I'm not going to argue about this. It is what it is and you know the rules. You know we have helped in the past figure things out because there communication and we knew what was going on and could help." at 2:20. I honestly think this is pathetic. Courtney has no problem telling me I should have communicated. They never asked how the search was going, if I've been to a doctor, nothing. At 4:03, I asked if I still have a job and got no response. I called the store to ask if I should show up for my shift, she responded with "No, I thought that was clear.". Sara then proceeded to call the store saying I was fired and by Colorado law, they owe me my final check within 24 hours. Courtney said the law says 48 hours, even though the law actually says immediately. They came to the agreement that my check will be at there store on Monday at 5:00 PM. On Monday, Sara goes to the doctor and gets xrays, confirming bronchitis. After I didn't get better I made an appointment for Thursday June 7th. On June 7th, I texted Courtney "Is my check there?" at 10:54 AM, to which I never got a response. My doctor's office is near my store, so I figured I would stop by my old store and pick up my check that should have been there on Monday. At the doctor, they took x-rays of my chest proving I have bronchitis as well. The doctor offered to write me a note saying it's likely that yes I did have bronchitis on the 1st. Little did I know what was about to happen, I turned down the note. I left the doctor's office and went to the store. The manager on duty said she was told that they don't owe me a check. I left the store and texted Courtney at 3:45 PM, "You don't have my check? Just wait...". Which I admit was in poor taste. Then the owner of the franchise started texting me. He sent me a screen shot of a contact in his phone and at said 4:10 PM, "Hey tough guy, here's our attorneys contact info! You want to keep threatening us, you'll be the one who will have something coming to him...". I responded with " I didn't mean to come off as threatening, I don't want trouble, I just wanted my check, after Courtney said it would be ready in 48 hours. I disagree with being terminated after giving 5 and a half hours notice before my shift. Medical staff has x-rays that prove I have bronchitis.". As I'm clearly trying to reason with him, I got no response. At 4:39 I sent "Was I supposed to work sick and contaminate food, coworkers, and customers because no one would cover my shift?". He responded with "No, you were supposed to get your shift covered. You're an adult, and you understand the responisibility. Smoky had people available, southlands had people available... and there was no communication with Courtney or Shack (Connor Shultz). Courtney laid out the expectation that she needed to hear from you, and there wasn't a word from you after you go the list of people who didn't work.". At 4:48, he sent "You're going to get a certified letter in the mail from our attorney Monday clearly laying out the situation.", which I never received any kind of anything from an attorney or the company. He continued at 4:49 saying, "If we hear anything from you from this point forward, you can speak to her directly...or hire yourself an attorney yourself.". Then proceeded further in making this threat at 4:51 "If you speak to anyone on my staff in a negative way that results in any negative consequence to me, I'll be all over you. are we clear?". I responded with, "Yes we are clear." . The next available payday was June 15th. I normally had direct deposit, and my check wasn't deposited as it should have if I really had quit. I texted Connor Shulz the next morning, the 16th, asking if my check was there, to which I received no response. I then texted the owner and said "My paycheck was not direct deposited into my account as normal. Do I have a check at the store or is it in the mail?". Matt Anderson, The owner, responded with "It is a manual check, was written before the regular payroll processed. It's at the store." . I then went to the store where I got a hand written check for less than $100 and hand written with a date 11 days before the payday, and 3 days before I asked for it. It was hand written for 6/4/2018. I was told I didn't have a check and started receiving threats on the 7th. If that was the case, why couldn't they have given me my check when I asked or even responded when I asked for it? Communication is what I was terminated for right? So then why can't they communicate the information I need to resolve the situation. I spoke with my therapist this situation, he advised me to contact Jimmy Johns corporate and the Colorado Department of Labor. I put it off because I struggle with depression and letting people push me around. After I had talked to my therapist and told him that I haven't acted upon the suggestions. We decided mutually that I should stand up for myself. I contacted Jimmy John's corporate and asked if there was an email I can send a complaint about a franchise owner to. The customer service person I talked to, I could make a complaint but they are just going to give it back to the franchise owner, and there's nothing else they could do. Even though the owner of a store (who has priveleged information about me such as my, SSN, address, bank account information, etc.) was sending me personal threats. From every person or organization I have talked to said they couldn't do anything, or doesn't handle these types of disputes. Am I really just supposed to let this happen? especially since I feel unsafe, complaining about some one who has the information to screw me over. Isn't the a code of conduct or professionalism? Doesn't Jimmy John's care who does business under their name?
sexual harassment. and discrimination
I was sitting in the lobby eating my food and taking selfies when a sandwich boy asked 3 ladies and another male worker was I a man sitting over there I overheard the question and answered him like an adult would do. And then left I didn't feel safe and cancelled my other food due to the fact he would have to make my sandwich for me I will have a lawyer help me out if possible transwomen are people too
Hobart Indiana discrimination against gays
sandwich
I went into the jimmy johns at 1919 kentucky avenue suite 121 in vestavia alabama phone [protected] on 06/23/18 at 8:35 pm, the store was completely empty and the clerk was on her phone and didn't even know I entered the store, after about 5 minutes I cleared my throat and the clerk then noticed me. I ordered a number 11 sandwich and paid, then I noticed the condition of the counter, fluid, rotting lettuce and other items I could not describe all over the counter where the sandwiches are prepared, the clerk laid the bread for my sandwich on the extremely unsanitary counter to which I then immediately requested a refund and told them why, the clerk never gave me a receipt to begin with and she touched the keypad at the register and the told me that the transaction had been voided. I asked for my copy of the charge and credit to which she touched the keypad again and sighed heavily, no customer service, unsanitary conditions and rude service, do not visit the store listed above. Still waiting on my refund, had to contact the bank to do a dispute.
lettuce wrap
I orded a Tuna lettuce wrap with tomatoes I ask to put the 4 slices of cucumbers on the side and the girl making this said we can't do that and i told her the last one i got the person laid them on top and wrap the paper over them. That was fine with me, she proceeded to not put them in. I also ask to put a little more tuna on the sandwich, the last one was very little tuna and she told the cashier to charge me extra, and she did not put enough crispy lettuce so the bottom was not wrapped so she was sloppy and rude, snippy, i go there 2 times a week for lunches and will try one more time to see if I am happy with them. I read all of the surveys and this location is rated a 3 star. noe of your surveys are good! [protected]@covertauto.com

Your driver cut me off and flew right threw a red light almost hitting a car because he's on cellphone
It was a grey PT cruiser license plate # Z94 1082
I hope you do something about this because I will be posting the picture of his car and plate number on the internet

cashier
Went to the location at 6102 Luther Ln in Dallas, TX just minutes ago and the cashier must have been on drugs or hungover or something. Worst service ever from any jimmy johns location. I bought lunch today 4/24 at 12:10. Won't come back to this location ever again. I asked why the price for my usual was higher than ever and she struggled to answer me and slurred out that the price just went up? Then she wouldn't give me a receipt when I asked for it. Never again for this location! If this keeps up I'll just go somewhere else altogether because this is ridiculous.
online ordering
I ordered a sandwich online on 5/17/2018, I usually order quiet ofter from JJ. It is usually super fast, sometimes even like 10-15 minutes. This time it took them 1, 5 hours to deliver my sandwich, I tried to call the store as well, they said to hold, then they hung up on me. Called back, they said the sandwich was on its way, but it still took another 45 minutes to get here. I understand lunch time is busy, but it should not take 1, 5 hours for a sandwich that it advertised to have freaky fast delivery. I want a refund for my order.
my manager
My manager fired me after I complained about him cutting my hours from 15 a week, which I didn't get because he sent me home early several days to 6 a week. He still sent me home early when it was only 6 a week. He texted me this morning that I was off although I was scheduled. I texted back why which he never responded to and I asked for the phone number of the store owner. Then he texted me to come in and fired me when I arrived. He said I was fired because my shirt came untucked several times while I was cleaning. Then he said I took too long cleaning two garbage cans in between doing deliveries. He sais I didn't do a task on the daily sheet for cleaning but the only task left on the sheet was cleaning the slicer which he was using. Ask the other employees. Additionally on the task sheet from the weekend there was a blank space in which he wrote unacceptable. Did anyone get fired over that? This all stems from an incident in which he threatened to make me pay for a sub I delivered in which the customer only had 50.00. I did not have change so gave the customer his sandwich and took collateral money and returned to the store for change. He was angry and said I had to pay for the sandwich. Nobody informed me we didn't take 50.00s. I refused to pay for it and said I quit if you make me. He backed down and gave me the change. But he was angry. His face was red and he seemed agitated based on twitching and speeded up motor responses. Since then he has cut my hours drastically and when he sent me home early yesterday, after already cutting my hours to 6 a week, I complained. Then he called me off early this morning with no explaination as I staed earlier. I asked for the owner of the store's phone number which he refused to give me. He angrily ordered me out of the store which I refused until I could get a number for his supervisor. He threatened to call the police. I said go ahead. There happened to be two SWAT officers eating in the shop already. I sat there peacefully and he again angrily ordered me out of the store. I asked for the number again and he said the owner refused to give it out. Then he he threatened to call the police. Isaid you already said you did. He must have been faking. Finally the police arrived and I discussed the matter with them. They said I had no right as an employee to speak to his supervisor. I found that hard to believe and asked them about the legality of picketing the store which they were hazy about. They said I had the right to free speech so I told an approaching customer not to eat there if they were concerned about fair labor issues. So I will be picketing the store even if I get arrested for it soon. Ill have to make a sign. My name is John Rincavage [protected].
commercial
Dear. CEO: James John Liautaud
Do u realize that everyone in your commercial are not wearing gloves ? Just a bunch on bare hands touching all lunch meat and bread etc that's so disgusting and I am sure it's against codes. I don't know who u hired to make your commercial but u should get your money back and make a new one ASAP. I would never eat alone or with my family or anyone I know at a jimmy johns just for that purpose. I am not the only one it's out there on fb not to eat at your establishments due to your disgusting commercial.
