Jimmy John's delivery service

I am a Jimmy John's fan and have been for years but on 04/21/18, I decided I wanted to have a sandwich delivered to my job which they have delivered to quite a few times since I've been there. So I call the store and they search the address and I was told sorry ma'am we do not deliver there. I ask them how is that possible and you all just delivered here this morning to a coworker? They still tell me, I'm sorry if someone has been delivering there but they're not supposed to. So I say thank you and hang up to call the other store in town, and they say no we do not deliver that far call the other store on beal (which was the one I had just got off the phone with). So I tell them, I just talked to them and they claim that they don't deliver here and their response was yes they do, they deliver all the way to the mall, which is way past my job. So I tell them thank you and call the other store back to ask to speak with a manager. The manager continues to tell me they do not deliver to my job which is right around the corner and he also says there's no record of delivery to my job, when I have seen them deliver there a minimum of 10 times. Nothing was making sense and all my coworkers were confused as to how could they say that. I didn't want to be that upset, annoying customer but something just was not adding up with the information I was given.

I order a #2 as an unwhich - the lettuce was slimy with the green shrink look at the top like it was in a fridge too long and brown at the bottom.

Pickle and chips were fine.

In addition to that - and not at all anyone's fault i'm sure- the credit card machine did not work. This is probably a big issue for deliveries, which mine was, but I work in a bank and was able to grab cash easily.

I went through the drive thru around 9:15 pm. I stayed at the teller machine for about 5 minutes then I drove up to the window, the male employee inside seen me and just rolled his eyes at me and continued to do what he was doing. I honked my horn and he gave me a dirty look and slammed the drive thru window open. He said "can't you see we are closed" I told him, the website says it closes at 10 pm. He said "NO" and slammed the drive thru window closed. I have never in my life been treated to talked to in that type of manner coming from a franchise employee.

Jimmy John's quality of sandwiches purchased

Recently ordered two orders for sandwiches from #1327 store in Atlanta, GA. Have purchased a #3 Totally Tuna on numerous occasions from other stores and never had this problem. The amount of tuna on both of these sandwiches was far less than expected and one did not include what was requested. I called the store to speak with the manager and was placed on hold for at least 10 minutes. Young lady then answered who was not the manager but I explained it to her. She listened and offered to send another order which was not the point. She indicated she would get the manager who never came to the phone. After holding a total of 15 minutes, I called back and spoke with a young man who stated that particular sandwich always came with less tuna. I advised him this was not the slim version. Thanked him for his help and advised this would be my last purchase from that location.

Jimmy John's unauthorized tip added

On 1/8/18 I placed an online order for delivery as I was busy at work and could not take the time to walk 2 blocks to go get the sandwiches for my husband and I to have for lunch. Food was left at the front desk with the receipt attached to the bag. This morning I check my bank account and for some reason the delivery guy decided to add $1 tip to my order even though the merchant copy slip that I was supposed to have signed is still in my possession. So how does a store go ahead and add a tip without the signature that they are supposed to submit as proof that I wanted to leave a tip?!?!?! Needless to say this is NOT the first time that has happened. The first time it happened the store manager called and stated that he would make sure this does not happen again REALLY?!?! I have never had this happen with anyone else that delivers to our building and want a full refund for my order including the tip! My order # [protected] and the total should have only been $17.32 but my account shows I was charged $18.32.

Jimmy John's customer service

Wrong order got sent. I called. They said theyd send the right order. I ate half of whatever sandwich was sent . Idk what it was. Driver said he couldnt replace my order. Left with the whole new order. And the other half of whatever that sandwich was. I have been at the BMW dealership all day. All Ive had is a bagel and cream cheese. I always order the same thing from Jimmy Johns fot myself. Even got other people in ny house hooked in it . But since Im going to bed on half a sandwich, a cookie, and a bag of chips, my house will be Jimmy Johns free.

Jimmy John's #5 sandwich/ customer service

12/21/17

I ordered two sandwiches. #4 no tomato cut 1/2 and #5 ez peppers, ez lettuce. My sandwich was the #5. My sandwich had no tomatoes, no sauce and no oregano. They also forgot my napkins like they always do. I called the store to request a new sandwich. The man who answered told my to wait a second after I told him what happened. A woman picked up the line and asked how she could help me. I told her what was wrong and she said they would send another sandwich out and requested for the mistake sandwich back. I told her that was fine. I asked if they could add mayo to the sandwich since the first one was so dry. She said no they could only put what was requested on the original but she could give me mayo packets. She did not seem to care about the situation at all. When wrapping the sandwich back up to give to the driver I got a paper got cut from the wrapper. I received the second sandwich with no napkins again. I opened the wrapper and the sandwich was dripping from the pool of sauce that was on it. The amount of sauce on the sandwich made it uneatable. I was going to call the store but I don't see the point as they won't care about the situation and will probably mess up my sandwich once again. Desired resolution is for someone to speak with the manager about her customer service and also policy and procedure on how to make and pack sandwiches. I am very disappointed in this location. I will not order from this location again.

Jimmy John's customer service overall restaurant experience

I will never buy another sandwich from Jimmy John's franchise or independent. It is obvious that customer service is not important. I was basically sold a very expensive turkey and cheese sandwich. I asked for the veggies on the side and was rudely told NO. Had to ask for a bag for my sandwich and chips (it's going g to the high school for my daughters lunch). Contacted customer service and was told it was independently owned and they didn't care also that I should expect to get my own stuff. SMH never again will I give them (franchise or not) my hard earned money!

Jimmy John's 2481 s telegraph rd, bloomfield hills, mi 48032 manager: angelica

i quit jimmy johns on short notice on november 16 2017 and gm angelica said she was going to mail me my checks instead of giving me them at the store. I am filing a complaint because i have 2 years experience at jimmy johns at the maple and coolidge locaation and palm beach gardens location. Both stores were run great exspecially the florida location. We were not allowed free food and were not able to smoke. I worked at the bloomflield location and it was a nightmare. Employees were allowed free food everyday and the manager would take smoke breaks (and allow employees too) and hide it from the area manager keith. This never happened at the other stores. Employees would eat off the line ex. take bread guts and dip in mayo and/or put sauce on them also. ex. eat bacon off the line. I was appalled by the behavior of the employees and was not suprised that the store never got any business. I am disgusted by gm angelicas ethics. I have a tracphone (pay for minutes) and am doing the best i can to get by and she called me 7 times and texted me relentlessly that she needed to know why i quit. Then she put me in a group text and I was forced to change my number because she was trying to run me out of minutes. That is none of her business. I need my money and she says i am not allowed to contact her or step foot in the store. I do not know why because i never got into any arguments with her or her employees. Someone please step up because this makes jimmy johns look bad. Florida and troy jimmy johns were managed great. Can not believe the lines were always left a mess and employees would eat off the line all day.

Jimmy John's employee

A sex offender was hired and I don't even know how he got hired if they did a background check. His name is Benjamin Ruiz. This is at the sterling colorado location. He is a sex offender for sexual exploitation of a child. It isn't safe for this dude to be around children. I have a child and I'm not gonna be going in your business due to this fellow, I have let other parents know the same, that Jimmy johns has a sex offender working there. So that there children are safe from this guy.

Jimmy John's tv commercial

I watch the commercial whenever it's being aired. M y complain is this, you make a sandwich on the commercial. The Sandwich looks great, and I would love to buy it, except nobody on that commercial is wearing gloves. I don't know where those bare hand have been before making that sandwich. To me it's very unsanitary.

Companies/restaurants are not legally required to wear gloves while preparing food as long as proper hygiene (ie: hand washing) is utilized.

Jimmy John's store

I want to start by saying that I love Jimmy John's and I do not wish to stop eating there.

I have made several attempts to resolve the following issue with the local JJ representatives, but nothing has been done.

My girlfriend and I rode our bikes downtown for dinner on a Saturday night (9/16) around 7pm, locked our bikes up to a bike rack that looked like a public rack, and went to dinner. When we returned the entire rack (including our bikes) was gone. We spent the next hour searching, but eventually gave up and walked home. I returned the next morning around 10:00AM to search in the daylight, but the rack and bikes were still nowhere to be seen. After making some calls to various city departments over the next couple of days, I was informed that the bike rack likely belonged to JJ's, that they pull the rack into their store every night, and that they might have the bikes. I called the store on Wednesday morning (9/20), and to my delight they told me they still had them, and walked to the store after work that day to get the bikes.

When I arrived, the bike rack was outside as it had been the previous Saturday evening, but only parts of our bikes were attached to the rack. Most of my bike was there (aside from the rear tire, phone mount, and rear rack), and all that was left of my girlfriend's bike was the front tire. This was extremely disheartening.

I took what was left of the bikes home, and called the store the next day at an hour I thought would be convenient and less busy, so as not to disturb the business' daily flow. I talked to a store manager and explained the confusing situation, for which he seemed already prepared to defend himself. He was rather rude and very dismissive, not wanting to take any of the blame or responsibility, though he admitted that after Saturday night, the store began leaving the rack out over night (this explains how the bikes were picked apart). He repeatedly blamed me for "leaving my bike out for days", when it was the store's fault I couldn't ride my bike home that initial Saturday night. He said that nothing could be done.

I then contacted customer service and talked to Brian, who was very nice and much more understanding about the situation. After hearing the story, he told me that he would reach out to the area manager and store owner and that I should be expecting a call from one of them. After about a week and no call, I called customer service again, and reiterated my discontent. After this attempt, I soon received a call from the area manager, and I gave her all of the same details. She listened and wasn't rude, but clearly lacked any empathy concerning the situation, and exhibited no willingness to make things right. She said all that she could do is relay the message onto the store owner and have him call me. I have yet to receive a call from the owner.

I hope that this story reaches the right people within the company. It seems that the JJ representatives associated with this particular store don't desire to take any responsibility for the accident or make any effort to correct the error (maybe it's beyond their authority). I want you to know that our bikes were our primary mode of transportation, so losing them in this way is no small matter. Though JJ no doubt has much bigger issues to consider, this issue is not insignificant to me and my life.

Again, I have no plans to stop eating at Jimmy John's or to degrade its reputation; I love your product. I am not outrageously furious or anything, but I am severely disappointed.

I just hope that some resolution can be found. Please feel free to contact me at any time.

UPDATE:
The owner of the store contacted me by phone. He apologized sincerely for the confusion, explained the situation, and offered to compensate me for my loss. He was very understanding and handled the matter with finesse and professionalism. All has been restored, and I will of course continue to be a faithful patron and supporter of Jimmy John's. After all, they got me through college!

Unfortunately the problem was not just using the bike rack, but not securing the bikes properly or with the correct locks. Check with some of the local pawns.

Jimmy John's no service

I went to the Jimmy john's on 716 S Duff Ave, Ames, IA 50010 tonight 10/24.
It was between 7:00 and 7:15. There was no one else in the building except for one employee. I entered the building and the lone employee had his back to me at the register. the music was a little loud, but I figured he would have heard the door open or at least turned around at some point. I stood 3 feet away from him for several minutes but he never turned around. He was texting or playing some game or maybe watching a movie on his phone I guess. I could have said something to get his attention, but the longer I stood there the more amazed I became that he never not once turned around or looked around or anything. I finally left thinking maybe he would here the door open again. As I drove off I watched him and he remained with his back to the counter and door until I drove out of sight. If you have cameras in the store watch the footage if you think I am making this up.

Right away I noticed the girl at the register did not change her gloves when making my order. I politely said did you change your gloves She did not respond, and instead the gentleman she was working with said yes always remember to change your gloves. She also touched the cutting board with her hands as well. I would like to file this complaint because it is highly unsanitary and I am extremely bothered as to why this employee was not trained properly. I really hope the video footage was working for this to be handled ASAP

Jimmy John's over halfway eaten sub delivered to me instead of what I ordered.

Just ordered delivery at 8:40 pm on Oct 4, 2017. It was two giant subs on French bread and two drinks. We received one correct sub and the drinksand something else we had not ordered. The other was an almost completely eaten sub which I had mistaken for a kids size sub from the outer appearance. I called to let the store know we got the wrong sandwich and informed him I had not opened it. He asked me to open it and see what was on the sandwich and that's when I saw the disturbing truth. When I told him what I'd found he just shoved it off like it was no big deal. He said quote, "it was probably one of the employees" WHAT!? WHY THE HELL IS THERE LEFTOVER SANDWICH ANYWHERE NEAR WHERE MY FULLY FINISHED SANDWICH WAS!? Uderly discuting and unprofessional. He didn't offer any sort of penance just acted like everything was cool. Very unsettled by the way the employees handled this situation. I did not get any of their names as I was too upset to think that far ahead.

Jimmy John's sandwich

I ordered a jimmy johns sandwich tonight somewhat late and got it delivered to my house. I ordered the sandwich plain but it came fully loaded with everything that came on the sandwich originally. I called back but the Jimmy Johns had already closed for the night. I was just hoping to get my money back or a new sandwich. I would normally just take thi issue up with the store itself but like I said before, they have already closed for the night. Thanks for your help.

Jimmy John's delivery man

Christopher made verbal advances to my fiance while delivering our food. Christopher was the driver and the manager at the time was Joseph. The Jimmy John location was in Edwardsville, IL . The commentary made to my fiance included, "Your voice sounded nice on the phone but I didn't expect you to look this nice person." After my fiance dismissed the comment, Christopher took a bow and said, "Thank you madam" as she handed him the signed receipt. As he was walking back to the car and Kendra was grabbing the cat to bring in, Christopher stated, "If I didn't have any more deliveries to make, I'd love to take you out." At this point, my fiance stated that she is engaged and returned inside. Why would you as a delivery driver make someone feel uncomfortable at their own residence. Second of all, what an unprofessional impression that leaves on Jimmy John's. After calling the manager, Joseph, nothing was vocalized to me about what he was going to do about it. Extremely disappointed.

Jimmy John's delivery

Two days ago, I made an order for delivery at 10:16 pm to my house in Oxford, OH. I ordered a number four with extra turkey and chips and waited an hour and 15 minutes before calling back to which I was told by the employee to let him get his manager. I waited on hold for over 15 minutes, decided to hang up and call back in another 30 minutes if I still had not received my meal. When I called back, I began to explain that I had made an order 2 hours ago and the employee that answered told me they were going through some problems but would get it to me as soon as they could. I then waited another 30 minutes and was going to call to just ask if I could cancel the order and get my money back, however the man that answered told me it was on its way and apologized. However, the meal had never arrived and I spent 13.25 for nothing. I am a very frequent jimmy John's customer and order at least twice a week. I would like to continue to order from jimmy John's but this experience has left me unhappy with your restaurant.

I have never sent a compliant to a restaurant but I feel that I was treated so poorly by the employees of the Jimmy Johns located in New Braunfels that I had to say something.

My son is 17 years old and frequently orders Jimmy Johns to his work (address 1533 Ih-35 North, New Braunfels, TX 78130). He called on September 15th to place an order while at school. He attends New Braunfels High School ( address 2551 TX-337 Loop, New Braunfels, TX 78130). They first asked him how much he wanted to tip the driver he told them $1.00. His order never showed up so when he called back they told him that Jimmy John’s does not deliver to the high school and never offered to refund his money. I checked his bank account that he was charged $11.00 from jimmy johns (see picture below). I called the store to simply settle the problem and was treated in the most unprofessional, unfriendly, and unapologetic manner.

I called and spoke with the manager Mark who said he would call me back. When he called me back he left me a VERY rude voicemail (I wish I could attach but I'm not sure how). His voicemail claimed that there was “no problem on his end and that there was no record of a transaction”. I proceeded to explain that there was a charge on my son’s account. He proceeded to explain to me that my son was told that Jimmy Johns does not deliver to New Braunfels High School. The problem was that there was a charge and the manager continued to tell me that he reviewed the call and my son was told Jimmy Johns does not deliver to New Braunfels high school. If he was told that I questioned why did they ask my son for a tip? Regardless, I was not unset about the sandwich not being delivered. I was upset because the manager made me feel like this was our fault, and would not refund my son. He told me that he would have to investigate and would call me back on Saturday morning.

So, Saturday 09/16/2017 he NEVER contacted me. I sent him a text message at 1:44pm (He gave me his cell phone number). The text message I sent him was of the charge that was still pending on my sons account. He responded with my son’s receipt that had the address for Canyon High School (1510 I-35, New Braunfels, TX 78130) and that he would refund the order “this time” (see picture below). Why this time? My son was apparently told that they don’t deliver to New Braunfels High School (Mark heard him being told that), my son never received his sandwich, and he was still charged for his order. I replied and told him that I was very appalled with how this was being handled and how I was treated and Mark NEVER apologized. VERY poor costumer service.

On Sunday 09/17/2017, I sent him a picture of my son’s account of the charge that went through. He responded and said that he would drop off the refund at my house. I told him all I wanted was to be refunded on my card. It is Sunday night and I have not heard anything.

This could have been fixed with a simple refund on Friday. However, I was treated in the most unprofessional manner and as if this was my fault. I understand that misunderstandings/mistakes happen in the restaurant business. ALL I was asking for was to be refunded. I was never upset over the situation until I was treated poorly by the manager. I am very appalled how I was treated at Jimmy John’s and very upset that this happened at one of our carry out places favorite places. You have lost loyal customers over an $11.00 refund.

Jimmy John's owner and managers

I'm a former manager at Jimmy John's and one of the other managers have gotten into it with just about every body in the store about three days ago one of the partners that's co owner of the store died once he dies the next day the same manager that has gotten into it with everyone was picking and yelling at me because I stayed that I'm a manager too and do was best for the store and didn't think that what he did was best so he told the owner on me and lied about me being distrustful to him and stated that i was ghetto due to my aperrience and the way I spoke when trying to take up for myself they stated that i had to go home and they would give me a call to discuss the situation never got a call be did get a text that next day firing me
