verbally abused and unlawful detainment
Store: 9080 Taylorsville Rd, Louisville KY
This is the third time I have filed a complaint on this same employee, Tonya. The last time I asked to have a returned call but never received one. I have been verbally abused and unlawfully detained by this employee twice. She repeatedly stated that this was in retaliation for me previously calling corporate on her. My rights have been violated and all I am asking for is that an investigation be conducted into her behavior and to be informed as to the findings.
I was at the Stony-broke Kroger in Louisville, KY tonight when Tonya refused to let me leave the store and took my items that I paid for out of my cart and hands. I paid for my items and was trying to return a pork loin that I had just bought and Tonya was working customer service and refused. She took my receipt and went over to the register I checked out on and pulled coupons out stating that I was not leaving with my items I used coupons on. When I tried to leave with my items she physically stopped my cart and started violently pulling my bags out while yelling she was going to call the police, causing a scene. At this point she is now refusing to let me leave the store and called another manager and the police. I kept telling her I just wanted to leave with my items that I had already paid for that she now had behind the counter, she refused. This is the second time she has held my property and refused to let me leave the store. I have already called and complained twice about incidents that happened with her at this Kroger this is now my third time reaching out about her unlawful behavior. She kept stating that she knew me and that she knew I had called corporate on her before. After a few minutes of arguing with her another manager came up front and asked what was going on. I believe his name was Dave and he was the Assistant manager. After hearing both of us speak he immediately told Tonya to give me my items back so I could leave. As I was leaving Tonya was mad and stating she was banning me from that Kroger and if I stepped foot in there again they would have me arrested.
I do request an investigation into this matter and to be contacted as to the outcome.

extremely rude customer service.
After a friend recommended the Kroger Marketplace on State Street in New Albany for Levi's jeans, I went there to check out the apparel section. The store was noticeably dead as I walked to the clothes. I located a few items I would like to try on for fit. I walked up front to ask about trying on and was told the section was closed. As I went back, I saw fitting rooms. I let myself in and almost immediately heard security be paged to apparel. The guard rudely told me I needed to leave without explanation. When I asked to speak to a manager, another associate said I was "throwing a fit." Even though there were numerous employees standing around playing on their phones, Kayla didn't see fit to have one of them to go to apparel to watch me if they thought I was really going to steal. If it is store policy that apparel closes, it should be posted. I left and went to the Marketplace on Dixie in Louisville. I had a totally opposite experience. While looking at jeans, an associate asked if I would like to try them on and explained they were on sale. I ended up spending $121 on apparel and will return to that Marketplace. Although I have shopped at the one on State Street through many renovations, I will never shop there again.
buying wine
I shop at this Kroger weekly. I went in today to buy a bottle of red wine for a family dinner. I am 26 years old and 5 months pregnant. I very much so look old enough to buy wine! This lady looked my I. D over several times, looked at me and then called someone over to look at it. They told me they couldn't accept my ID because there was a slight rip in lamentation of my i. d. I have never heard of such a thing and have never had problems with my i. d. I am livid! I left and got wine elsewhere with no issue!
seafood
Tonight I thought I would treat myself to shrimp especially since it was on sale for 7.99/lb. it normally was almost twice that price and it was the big ones. We brought them home, and grilled them...they would not peel and they just did not taste right. I think they were old. Since they were on sale does that me that, we the consumer should expect a less good quality product? Does being on sale mean you have had them in the freezer too long? It was very disappointing, this was to be a treat not a let down.
magazines
Aren't ya'll supposed to put little plastic covers in front of the magazines in the checkout lanes? There was a Sports Illustrated swim suit edition on display today, and my baby yelled loud enough for half the store to hear, "hey mamma, I can see that ladie's booty!". It was very embarrassing and I shouldn't have to worry about my child seeing pornography when we're just out to buy some food. Take care of this immediately, please!
sheba perfect portions salmon & tuna cuts variety pack
Hello,
This is absolutely unacceptable.
I have order groceries from ClickList at the 4901 maple ave Dallas tx 75390 location, like I have many times before. I got home unloaded and one of my bags smelled horrible, I am unpacking and bugs fall out of my cats food. When I open the package I am disgusted with not only the smell but with what I saw. Bugs on not just one or two of the containers but all of them.
I call the store and speck to a manger, the solution credit my account for the amount. Not any where in the conversation was it addressed that rotten pet food (or food of any kind) was on the shelve, but someone honestly selected this item completely ignored the smell (kinda hard to miss) and placed it in my car.
This is ridiculous and not something I should have to worry about when shopping/ order my groceries.
pharmacy fredrich bvld. portsmouth, va
yesterday March 1 2018 I went to your pharmacy to to get a shingles vaccine. I gave the atendent my medicare card part A&B and my Aetna RX plan card so that it could be put on file. I was told that the vaccine would be $163.90. I was asked if I still wanted it? I said yes but I interested to know how much I would be paying for the vaccine if I was uninsured, she replied that she was not able to tell me that, I replied that did not make since to me she started typing and came back with the amount of $175.00, I was informed that I would have to fill out some paper work I filled it out and signed it, handed it back. and was insstructed to take a seat. During this time could not help but notice that the Pharmaist seemed manic in her behavior, counting out pills to put in bottles at very fast rate while at the same time shacking her head back and forth and talking to her self, she seemed very upset. I think her name was Kathrine on name tag. I thought that since was already there I would get a Tetanus vaccine if it was alright to get both on the same day. Kathrine called me up to pay for the shingles shot, I asked her if I get both shots, she said she would have to look it up, I paid with a debit card. she walked away and did not come back so I pulled my payment off of the the machine and put in my wallet. There was some conversation between Pharmisist and worker I was told the the cost of the second should be $61.57 and that I would have to fill out a paper for the second shot, which I did. When I went to pay for the second shot the Katherine told the worker that I had not paid for the first one. I told worker that I had pulled payment off of machine myself. She said she would have to see it, I looked for it in my wallet could not find it at first and after some looking I find it, and paid for second shot, and sat down. when Katherine was ready she called me into small room and asked if was right or left handed, I told her I am left handed she stated that it would be best to get the shingle shot in the left arm because the the other shot could be sore. she also said that I was getting a great deal because the shingles shot was $1000..00 without ins. I told her the worker had toldi t was $175.00 without any ins, she said oh the whole vile was $1000.00. then she started to give me first shot in my left arm, she could me that the needle to go into my arm, thati have scar tissue in the area. I told her I did not have scar tissue, she tried it again, needle would not go in, then it was the reason that she was inferior needles, left came back with a guess it worked. then the other shot in right arm. DONE glad the I was not going to be sore in left arm (left handed} but some hours later very sore in left arm fine in right arm, I assume somehow it got done backwards I was told during this time that they were short staffed and that she was pulling her second double shift in a row. VERY SURREAL I did think about just leaving mostly because Katherine seaming to be on the verge of a breakdown my # [protected] Jerry Cooper
associate complaint
Good Morning,
On yesterday February 28, 2018, I went into to the store to purchase some items. As I was getting ready to check out, I went to a 15 items or less line where the cashier Bobbie was checking out. I asked the associate about if they had a pacific item was on sell. This associate got smart with with me and getting loud just because I ask him a question. He stated, "do it look like that it on sell".in return I told him, I just ask a question. He then start discussing me with the customer behind me. I told him that was uncalled for. As I was walking out, I stop to talk with another associate. Bobbie stop ringing up his customer and turned around. His comment was, "Don't be asking for a discount". He this this in front of other customers. First of all, I wasn't asking for a discount. I was just simply speaking and asking her how she was doing. I didn't appreciate how I as treated on yesterday. His customer service was very poor, like always. Every time I go in the store, he is very rude and loud. I honest believe this is not how Kroger associate suppose to act. I am very disappointed in the way I was treated at Kroger here in Greenville, MS.
the customer service and employees
I am a very loyal customer of Kroger. On average I spend anywhere to $500-$700 a month. I work all different hours so the 24 hour locations are convient. Unaware of the hours to the stores, there are NO managers available after 9pm and very limited staff. I waited almost an hour to purchase two items. The only station open was the U scan and no staff to montior them. I asked several employees at the store about management or what else can be done to get the line going quicker. All the response I got was "there is no one available". Another time I waited in line for 20 minutes to watch 3-4 employees ignore the line at customer service and play with their hair. I did try calling corporate and the gentleman who I spoke with said "there is nothing I can do". I don't understand how a multi billion dollar company can still be in business for the way they treat their customers. I've worked in Customer service and in call centers for over 17 years and if I ever acted the wat the employees at Kroger do I wouldn't of had a job.
facebook survey that gave me a $250 coupon
I recently did a survey on Facebook that gave me a $250.00 voucher to use at Kroger with expiration date of [protected]. I called my local Kroger store to see if there were any restrictions and they said no just have a manager approve it when I got to the store. I go to Kroger and go straight to the customer service desk and Show the clerk my voucher and she takes it to a manager and then comes back and tells me that they don't honor the voucher. I don't understand why Kroger ask you to do a survey for them and approve you for a voucher and then won't honor it. What good does it do to answer your survey and receive a voucher if the company is not going to honor it. I like to shop at Kroger but this has left me feeling very frustrated. Hoping you will give me some answers.
kroger customer service
3125 John R Rd, Troy, MI 48083
This Kroger It's a very convenient location for me, however because I am middle eastern all of the employees seem to have a negative bias. I ignored it the past few times that I have been there, but today was by far the worst. The first time one of the rude cashiers refused to accept my coupons that were CLEARLY VALID, he did not even try scanning them. He literally seemed like he wanted to get into a fist fight with me. I made him call the manager and she "tried" scanning them but apparently they "didn't work". I over looked it the first time this happened, due to my reasoning being that it was only one [censor] cashier. The next few times I went I always noticed their employees hovering over me, and watching me every chance they got. Once when I getting stuff in the aisles, and another when I was just scanning my stuff. They never failed to hover over me and ask me "if I need help". The last occurance was just today. I use the Kroger App frequently, and I was planning on getting some soap due to it being on sale on the app. There was only one bottle of soap left, I grabbed it and was on my way to the price machine to double check it, but apparently it was down. I then noticed that the service desk was open, so I went over there to check the price. First off she had her back turned, and was talking to what appeared to be a "manager", he saw me but continued to finish his conversation before he informed her that I had been waiting there. The employee then checked the price and told me that it was $4.50 vs. the $1.75 price that it was showing on the app. I showed AND explained to her quite clearly that this is the price that is showing up on the app. Her response: where are you pulling it up on? I told her the kroger app. She then asked if it was a digital coupon. I told her no this is the price that comes up when you search for the product in the app. And she told me that she doesn't understand. And that "she doesn't know what to do for me" I told her that it's the last one and that I am only getting one and that I don't see why she could not adjust the price . I once again showed her and explained to her that it is CLEARLY on the kroger app. She treated me as if I was not speaking English. I do not have an accent and was raised here in Michigan all of my life. I don't understand what she couldn't understand. She then asked another employee, and she was no help either. They both treated me as if I was insane and looked at me like I was an alien. Needless to say I got infuriated by the way they were handling me, and just left. I even left all of my groceries, because of how infuriated I was. I have never been treated with such disrespect at any store, it's not even about the money. They treated me so horribly. This store requires immediate action to fix these horrible employees' actions.
deli/hot food
On Thursday 2/22/2018 I visited THREE of your locations. 1750 Hudson Bridge Rd. Stockbridge, 8059 Tara Blvd. Jonesboro and 7125 Ga. Hwy 85 Riverdale. After work between 5pm and 6pm. Neither location had chicken prepared. The location on 8059 Tara Blvd had the audacity to try to sell chicken that had been sitting there since noon. That's a recipe for food poison. I spoke with the store managers at both the Tara Blvd and Hwy 85 locations and they shrugged their shoulders neither apologized. As a customer I really didn't feel valued. I feel all locations should have FRESH food available that time of evening when most customer's are just getting off work headed home to feed their families. I'm a long time customer and I'm very disappointed in the lack of customer service especially on the managers part. Please address this issue immed.
manger
I was shopping at Kroger today and I was buying with coupons and everything was in order had nothing. Wrong had five coupons go each product and the lady charging me says I can't use them and starts voiding things. What makes me upset is that the lady is being very rude and doesn't tell me why she can't take them. Nothing was wrong with the order so I do not understand, so I decided to make everyone's life easier and leave everything
$35 prescription credit
I am writing to you today as this is my 4th call to your call center regarding this issue which has still not been resolved. I received one of you rx transfer $35 coupons in the mail. I spoke with one of your pharmacist @ the cincinnati, oh marburg location whom explained to me the stipulations of the coupon credit. I transferred 2 prescriptions 1 for myself and 1 for my husband. The prescription for myself did not qualify because it was a new prescription however the 1 for my husband did as he has had this drug fill numerous times @ walgreen's. I picked up both prescription's on 2/23/18 @ 7:31 p. M I also gave the attendant my $35 coupon which he scanned. He also stated that our credit is now attached to our plus card and can be used at anytime up until 3/31/18 as it also states also my receipt. I went shopping the same night and once I got to the register to check the $35 credit did not register. The cashier contacted you corporate office where we spoke with cora @ your call center whom proceeded to tell me that to corporate pharmacy was closed and she can give me a case # for me to call back the next day. She was more or less no help.. Even though I explained to her that my receipt from the pharmacy states that I have the $35 rx dollar. I asked for her supervisor's name and she advised that she could not give me that information. Case# ([protected]) I called back the next morning here I spoke with debbie (a supervisor) whom again I had to explain to her the situation. I also told her that I wanted to file a complain on cora as well. She understood my situation and stated that she would try to have the situation resolved asap and that she would give me some fuel rewards point for all my troubles. As of this morning I had not received a call back so I contacted the call center again to see the progress and was informed by caroline that the case was closed because my prescription did not qualify as a transfer. I explained to her for almost an hour that my husband did qualify but mine did not she still proceeded to tell me that according to her corporate pharmacy it did not qualify. I am needless to say that I am totally flabbergasted at the incorrect info that I have received over the last few days and the act of not listening to the customer. I am very disappointed as I have never had to contact your call center before this incident.
customer service
I am a long time customer for most of my life. I have always shopped and bought my fuel from kroger. Recently I came into kroger and realized that I beeped through the security measures by the door. I tried to talk to several employees and managers to say do you want to check me and we can find out why and they answered no we know you and you are fine. This continued for awhile I kept asking if we could figure out why but they said its fine. I have been a VERY loyal customer who was in about 3 to 4 times a week. I now get followed through the store by security. This is not fair as I have tried to figure out why im beeping. I have repeatedly asked staff but they refused to help me and just treat me like a criminal. I loved shopping at your store because they understood my children had special needs and were kind. However now I will not be back, nor will I purchase gas from your establishment.
Hello Kroger. I'm have been a faithful Kroger shopper for many years in Memphis, TN and now in Hernando, MS. 2380 Mt. Pleasant. I used the pharmacy and shop for fresh fruits and vegetables and whatever on special that week. I'm a senior citizen. On June 28, 2019, I purchased my prescriptions and I checked the Marketplace and selected a few items for my husband(wallet and shirts) and myself. I also purchased produce and continued to the self check lane. After checking out I preceded to the door and there go a beep and I immediately turned around and waited for the cashier to check my bags. She gave me a clearance and I got another beep and the security guard was at the door. By that time, I was puzzled myself. She double checked and they finally told me to go on. In my mind as I was going to my car I felt that something was causing that buzzer to go off. When I got to my car I went through everything I had and finally, there lay on top of the billfold that I had purchased for my husband an extra plastic wallet insert for pictures and cards (not scanned) because it was stuck just on top of the plastic case of the billfold. I had placed it there because I didn't want it to fall from the grocery cart before checkout and I forgot when I scanned the billfold. Therefore only the billfold was scanned. The insert cost a grand total of $1.27. At that moment and my inner belief told me that I needed to go back and make sure this is paid for. I have never intentionally taken anything in my life. This is not what I do. The cashier, Teresa, was so nice. I tell this story because every since that incident, it seems as though I have been unwelcome in Kroger and tracked when I come into the store. If I wander over to the clothing or shoes, makeup, purses or in that area, I will hear over the intercom some calling for security. I have watched this approximately several occasions. When I pick up my prescription, I have to go past that area, and when I come back through I will stop and browse. In about a minute or two, I will here someone calling for security. One day, I stopped and I believe it was memorial day weekend, I stopped and browse and heard them calling for security over the intercom. I heard the same message this week. Therefore, I moved on and went to the ice cream/frozen food department. In approximately two to three minute a young lady met me with a pad trying to do a survey and get me to sign up for discounts and want my name and address and I told her I already had a membership. I was kind of suspicious . When I go to that store, I don't feel welcome. I feel that I'm being watched as if I don't belong. I will travel 30 miles out my way to feel welcome when spending my money. That's known as Respect.
deli
I was in the maysville, ky kroger to get deli ham and samantha was cleaning the slicer so I said excuse me 3 times to get her attention, she came to the counter and I told her what I wanted she took the ham out of the case did not change her gloves and sliced my ham on the slicer she was cleaning with the chemicals they use. I was shocked by this so I the package to the courtesy counter and told the guy what happened and refused to take the product. I was not going to eat ham with chemicals on it and on her gloves!
This needs to be addressed with her immediately before she does it again!
Thank you
e/coupons
I loaded an e/coupon on my Kroger card, it said it could be used 5 times, expiring on the 21st of February. At the first Kroger I used it twice, the second Kroger I used it once due to limited supply. The manager had to do a manual input because the computer didn't recognize the coupon. At the third Kroger again the computer didn't recognize the coupon, but the manager would not assist despite looking up on the computer and not seeing 5 uses on the coupon. The coupon was: Save $4:00 on 4 Coca-Cola products, use up to five times. Which I was denied the right to use it 5 times.
pharmacy
While picking up a prescription for my wife I encountered a very unprofessional and combative employee. I believe the date was Feb 1st but in may have been a week earlier as I was provided an 800 number to file this complaint. The wait time was incredible. I held on for 30 or more minutes each time before giving up. A few time the message was call volume to high please call back at another time. While this added to my displeasure with Kroeger, it is not the reason for this complaint.
Your employee Jose was working the pharmacy and got the prescription for me. He asked for my phone number to enter for Kroeger point. When I gave it to him he looked up and said that is not enough numbers. I repeated the number and made sure to separate the area code. He looked up and said that is not enough numbers. I gave him the numbers one by one and asked if it worked that time. It did but he said you didn't give me enough before. I said well maybe you didn't hear it correctly. He got this angry look on his face and said no you didn't give enough numbers. I told him I was pretty sure I did and again he stare angrily at me and said no you didn't. At this point I'd had enough of him and said your kind of an [censor]. He replied you did give enough numbers and sarcastically have a great day. I know it will have little to no effect on your profits, but I only go to Kroeger now if I don't feel like driving the extra 2 mile to HEB. There apparently was no one at the store to file a complaint with and the Pharmacist provided the 800 number. Jose was wearing a blue smock with technician on the front. I hope this helps improve future customers experiences with you store In Crowley Texas.

rude behavior
I have had a few occasions at the Krogers on Delaware Avenue in Charleston, WV, where an employee has been extremely rude to me. The first time was about a month ago, it was an employee whom was working at the self-checkout registers. I went to hand her my coupons because she had to scan them and she stood there and would not take them. Finally, she snatched them out of my hand and demanded me to "stop looking at her like that". I have no idea what she was talking about. Then she proceeded to call me names under her breath. People around me were looking at her strangely. The behavior was weird and almost as if she were on some kind of drugs. I spoke to the manager, Ms. Brown and she acted as if she could care less.
Then this past Saturday, I went to pick up medication from the pharmacy and the girl working, Maria, was extremely rude. I had called earlier that day to ask if I could a refill on one of my medications. The girl that answered the phone said yes and we will have it ready for you this evening. When I went to pick it up, Maria told me they didn't have it in stock. I asked why I wasn't told this on the phone earlier (I was polite about it and did not raise my voice.) She responded, "Don't ask me I just got here". I asked when it would be ready and she snaps, "I already told you Monday." I did not hear her say Monday. Then she was trying to tell me that I would not get fuel points on the prescriptions because they were free. I proceeded to tell her that I have in the past. She yells at me, "If you would let me finish talking and stop talking over me". I wasn't aware she wasn't done talking and I certainly had not talked over her. I told her that I did not appreciate her being so rude. She laughed and said she had not been rude to me and walked away. Another pharmacist had to help me. Again, I asked for a manager and saw Ms. Brown. At first she told me that she did not manage the pharmacy. I then asked who the manager was. She said well what is the issue. I explained it to her and she said "Oh well I will let the manager know". I don't believe she did so because again, she acted like she could care less.
I've been a customer at Krogers for years and with the pharmacy. Often times the store has bare shelves, things are outdated, there are no buggies in the store and the lines are packed. However, I have overlooked these issues. But being treated poorly is unacceptable!
