Harassment
Wednesday the day before Thanksgiving 530ish.
I was in my car when a man approached and located in her car on the phone. And walks off. I’m anxious and scared. But I think it’s better not to leave I could be followed so I go in store to pick up my shop. I’m on the meat department and the same man is following. I’m not sure what is going on. Come to find out it’s someone employed by Kroger security. This is harassment at its finest I’m targeted in my car never made it in the store and u tell someone located she on the phone and then I come in thinking it would be safer and I’ll be [censored]’s KROGER EMPLOYEE I thought you had to be in the store so they come outside why me is it mistaken Identity I shop there all the time. What is going on.
Desired outcome: I’m not sure I need to first know why.
Is this harassment?
Free turkey when you spend $100
On Wednesday, 11/23 between 7-8 pm my grandson and I went to the Kroger store at 235 E FM1382 in Cedar Hill,Tx to get additional things for Thanksgiving dinner on Thursday. Together we spent $150 +to get those items! When I remembered seeing an advertisement on TV that stated you would get a free turkey when $100 is spent! My grandson spoke to a young lady about the free turkey and was told “my manager said you have to ask for the turkey before the sale is completed to get one!” Who really tallies their grocery bill to see if the have spent a certain amount before checking out? It also seems that the people who order on line to have their groceries put in their cars by your employees are all that matter, as there were bare shelves & freezer space. Do you want our business? Thank you for your time and attention in reading and maybe doing something about this type of service! Joyce Wilson CH, TX [protected].
answering the phones
As I am writing this email I have had the phone on speaker phone calling customer service desk at Kroger on State street in New Albany IN.
It has been ringing for 12:23 seconds and no one has answered. I called corp. office to complain. I called the operator it rang 32 times no answer. This happens all the time at this location. No manager or customer service desk. No good and very frustrating.
I was calling to see if they have 80 of an item in stock I wanted to buy for my office for Christmas.
This store is awful. The shelves are empty, the people are rude and there is no one there to work. They need to shorten the hours of operation. The customer is on their own like a box store.
Please do something about it..
Desired outcome: do something about it!
kroger weekly incentive for contractors(truck drivers)
Hello Kroger team,
based on a sheet that I have, Kroger pays weekly incentive for contractors at Brisk Transportation (Truck drivers) to deliver products to store through its carriers. in order to eligible for the weekly incentive you should run 10 outbound loads or 1900 Miles weekly. there is slightly a problem here that I see, there are few people that actually get that bonus. the carrier claims" they want to be fair to all contractors" and so the way the load routine works, most drivers won't be eligible to get the incentive, because the carrier keeps the contractors under 1900 miles weekly and few who were here longer get the incentive.
Desired outcome: I believe when Kroger is giving out the weekly incentive based on the criteria they created(10 outbound loads or 1900 miles weekly), they should offer the way for contractors to get the incentive.
District manager complaint
11-16-22
To whom this may concern,
My name is April Nice, employee # 3871826 at store # 730 in Elkins, WV. I would just like a moment of your time to reflect on an incident I had with the district manager by the name of Jake yesterday evening upon arriving for my shift on 11-15-22. There is a lot to say about first impressions. My experience was not a very pleasant one of him and one I shall not forget.
Our store is getting ready to be visited by what I would say are some very important people in the Kroger Company. I understand that at times like this management and higher ups are stressed and under a lot of pressure to make sure their store in order and ready for such an important visit. At the same time our Kroger brand is Honesty, Integrity, Respect, Safety, Diversity and Inclusion. I feel that Respect is a very important part of this equation.
I was hired on August 18. 2022. I am 50 years old and since I was hired I was diagnosed with breast cancer. I am grateful to my mangers at my store for their understanding, compassion and willingness to work with me to give me time off to have the surgery I needed to begin the recovery process. I came back to work less than a week after I had a lumpectomy and lymph nodes removed. I am not one to miss work as I was raised with a strong work ethic. Anyways, I have not been employed at our local Kroger’s for that long of a time frame and I have been cross trained in other areas of the store with no additional pay increase nor have I ever once complained because I genuinely like my job there. I always talk to my coworkers the way I would want to be spoken to and treat them the way I would want to be treated.
As to my complaint, When I came to work yesterday evening, another worker was still in the office finishing up her shift and I was starting mine. There was a 30 overlap in our shifts. I had clocked in as normal. I noticed she was doing a refund on 2 packages of 3lbs of bacon and a loaf of bread. As soon as she finished the transaction, I picked up the bacon and bread and promptly took them back to their respective locations to ensure the quality of the meat would not be compromised. I came back into the office where I was scheduled to work my shift and that is when Jake proceeded to very rudely and loudly said “Why are there two of you in the office! This store is too small to have two people working in the office!” I then try to explain that I had just arrived for my shift (Remind you that I have literally just returned post surgery earlier than most people would have) and he proceeded to continue to be loud and say “ No you haven’t, I have made a trip around this store and you were here when I started my walk” (Yes, when I arrived, I reported to the office and I very shortly thereafter left the office to return products to its location to prevent spoilage and returned to the office to start my shift. This all happened when he started his walk. I was not standing twiddling my thumbs being non- productive.) I proceeded to leave the office and work another area of the store I was trained in. As I proceeded to leave the office, I could hear him still yelling repeating over and over “Every minute counts!” My coworker in the office let one of the store managers know what happened, and she apologized to me seeing how upset I was. I was never so embarrassed as my coworkers and customers as well heard this as well. I had no clue who this person even was until after this incident to come up and start yelling at me in this manner. It upset me so bad I had to go to the restroom to calm down and return to work. This person is clearly unsuitable to handle stress and needs a lesson is manners and respect to people. I cringe to think this is how he treats other people. Imagine this is how he treats customers. I would hope not. He clearly jumped to conclusion before reacting to situation and clearly could have handled the situation better. As he left for the evening or so I thought, he never acknowledged me or let anyone there know he was leaving. A simple “ I’m heading out, do you need anything before I go?” or anything. He came back later to work with the overnight crew and never said one word to me or any of the coworkers. I am truly appalled by his rude behavior and I hope no one ever goes through this humiliation and degradation as I did that evening. If you any questions or would need any further information about this incident, my phone number is [protected].
Sincerely,
April Nice
Desired outcome: An apology, this person be held accountable for his actions and stress management / courtesy training.
Error code 9547
In July I received information from you about a Boost program. I am 85 years old and wanted more information. I clicked on it not realizing I was getting the program. When I got my bank statement Boost was listed and I did not remember what it was so I contacted Chase bank to dispute the claim.
Since July when I put in an order I get an error message RV9547 and I have not been able to shop at Fry's. I live in Arizona have a difficult time walking and have depended on Fry's delivery to my car. I talked to many, many of your employees and have not gotten any help. A claim Ref. [protected] has been filed, This has been going on since July and I emailed the Fraud Department twice the bank statement as requested. The problem has not been resolved and when I place an order I still get an error message RV9547.
I was born in Cincinnati and lived there 50 years, something I have been proud of but now I am ashamed of Kroger and your service. You have always been reputable but not anymore.

Autorefills no longer work at Kroger. We always have to wait to pick Rx's
Up until September 2022 my prescriptions were filled by autofill and I never had to wait. Now that no longer works, including the prescriptions for another household member. Online it shows that a prescription that was to be filled October 31, has yet to be refilled. Fortunately until now I have had enough on hand. Now, myself and another family member have...
Read full review of KrogerUnable to use my personal check to pay for groceries
We always use our Rep . Payee Checks to purchase our groceries. We normally don’t have issues with it. Recently we have be turned away with no explanation, this is embarrassing. We have enough in our account to cover the purchases. The most recent innocent happened on 10/24/22 when we had a purchase of groceries in the amount of 258.33. I finally had enough and called up and found out you have limits set on checks.🤔. I have a Disability account which doesn’t allow a debit card tied to it. You should have been to accommodate me and not humiliate me in front of other customers. Someone needs to look into this to help other people like me on SS disability who have no other options other then paying by check . You help in looking into this would be greatly appreciated
Desired outcome: Set standards where these checks are accepted at the check-out regardless of the amount just like a debit card. It should require authorization at the time of check-out holding up the lines
Kroger 2801 Washington rd Augusta Ga
This store is in disarray. Buggies all have bad wheels, almost never inside the store in the storage area, disorganization in the store, isles blocked. Got groceries today around lunchtime, no bagger, one register open. bought $300 worth of groceries, had to bag them all myself. It is a disgrace compared to what this store used to be before the current management. Kroger used to be about customer service. its not anymore. When it closes and everone is going to publix you will understand that your model for a grocery store trying to be like walmart does not work.
11/11/2022
Desired outcome: Store improvement, buggies that actually work. baggers to bag the groceries and lanes open for check out. Not all self checkout.
Points Rewards Plus
I redeemed 6,500 points for a $20 Apple digital gift card on October 17th, 2022. However, I never received an email with any instructions to redeem my reward. My email is [protected]@outlook.com.
I reached out to [protected]@pointsrewardsplus.com and got a request number - 10786, but all they did was "gift" me (several days later) 2,000 points for my trouble (sent by Felicia H.). I never DID receive my $20 Apple gift card. My last 2 emails have been completely ignored and the phone number on the website to call is ALWAYS busy - and I do mean ALWAYS.
It has been over 3 weeks now with no results.
Desired outcome: I would like the code to redeem my $20 Apple gift card that I redeemed my 6,500 points for!
mailed coupon(s)
We received coupons in mail 11/07/22 with an exp date of 10/31/21 - phoned Kroger customer service [protected] to advise - s/w Candie who wouldn't provide last name - she asked me to hold on so she could speak with her supervisor ( Ingrid ) aft 15 minutes she returned & stated supervisor said the coupons wasn't from Kroger, I explained they were most definitely from Kroger in us postage paid the kroger co 19446 - Kroger 1014 Vine St Cincinnati Ohio 45202 dark green in color with head(s) of cabbage pictured on back - trust me I receive coupons all the time & I know what they look like - I still can't believe they sent out expired coupons & refuse to correct the problem, I've had issued with expired food in store(s) but never coupons.
Heritage Farms chicken tenders, boneless chicken breasts
Please stop selling this inferior product. Every package of chicken breast and tenders contains subpar woody meat rendering the meat tough, stringy and inedible. Every package of breasts and tenders has woody pieces. The poultry company should be pulling these affected pieces and grinding them to sell as ground chicken, which from what I understand makes the meat palatable. PLEASE STOP SELLING HERITAGE FARMS CHICKEN to us. Find another poultry supplier. Make them eat the cost of the woody breasts, don't force them on your customers. The poultry industry and grocers are well aware of the problem. Go back to smaller birds and the problem disappears. Stop selling shoddy chicken to us.
Desired outcome: I want to see a replacement to Heritage Farms if they won't stop selling woody breasts and tenders.
Too much technology to understand
You have weekly digital deals that make many older people disgusted with shopping at Smith's in Las Vegas. You have circulars so inscribe coupons like in the good days. I ask store staff to help me with the technology and it brings discomfort because they do not like the technology either. I'm curious if you ever got involved with this horror when going shopping for food, not to shop and bring tech into it. We shop; we do not work for Microsoft. This is very inconsiderate of older people who want to shop at Smiths in Las Vegas. I become an inconvenience for the staff to help me every time. I feel bad asking all the time.
Desired outcome: Coupons available for same items that technology has made difficult to buy.
Customer service-cashiers
11/02/2022
Arlington TN Kroger location
11635 Hwy 70
This Kroger location is the pits. Every time I shop here, I leave saying I'll never go there again, but this time I mean it. It's the pits.
Only one cashier was available. They force you to use self-checkout. I usually use self-checkout but my cart was full and I decided to use the only cashier available.
This cashier was wearing a face mask - I thought for protection, but I realized she was keeping her face covered while she talked on her bluetooth earbuds.
There was no eye contact, no greeting, no "did you find everything you need?" She didn't even tell me what the total cost was of my purchase. She handed me my receipt without a "thank you" - she was too busy talking under her breath to someone.
This is not acceptable customer service for any store. Kroger obviously does not care about this. The Managers know what's going on - they are doing the same thing so no point in complaining to them.
I've never sent a complaint, but I am done with Kroger. The stores are a mess, the employees don't care and you can tell they don't want to be there. Your stores are going downhill.
Customers have to do everything from finding carts out in the parking lot to locating a product sitting on a pallet in the middle of an aisle because no one is stocking shelves, to checking out yourself. Your hiring people that don't really want to work and you're not training them and setting expectations.
I will not support Kroger any longer.
Desired outcome: Hire and train your staff on proper customer service and take away their phones during working hours
Customer service / app cash back feature
The Kroger at 1800 Republic Rd in Virginia Beach has gone downhill, especially over this past year. The employees always look incredibly miserable and rarely acknowledge customers. The customer service desk is severely lacking in, well, customer service. They are always rude and snappy, and I’ve regularly been ignored and left standing there waiting for...
Read full review of KrogerTrouble with my orders
I’ve had a problem with your website. With my order last night I had tried to Oder and a message request came it was not received. To try again latter. Well, I tried again, same thing. I tried again, same message
So I went to sleep to wake up to “ping”, “ping”, “ping”. I should have called then. My son said I shouldn’t continue with the after the first time the message came up. It really didn’t dawn on me what I had done until the groceries arrived this morning.
All I can say is I’m getting very old🤦🏻♀️ I’m 74 turning 75 in 2 weeks.
My bank statement states that my account was hit by Krogers 3 more times, (not counting my mistakes).
Any suggestions for solving this?
Desired outcome: Suggestions on how to fix this
Orange juice
I am widowed, elderly, handicapped, and wheelchair-bound. Every two weeks, I pay my housekeeper to pick up a "pick-up grocery order" which I order from home on my computer.
This week, among other things, I ordered a gallon (128 fl. oz.) of Kroger orange juice, on sale at $3.49/gal as advertised on their website and in their newspaper flyer. I received a very fancy bottle of orange juice containing 89 fl.oz. and was charged $4.49.
I do not drive, and I do pay to have my housekeeper pickup my groceries. I called Kroger's main office in Cincinnati OH to resolve the issue. I asked that an additional bottle of orange juice be dropped off to me. After being cut off twice, I was transferred to a manager named "Angel" who's only solution was to credit me for the orange juice, which does NOT solve the problem!
Since I was both shorted in quantity and also overcharged, it might be of interest to The Kroger Company that defrauding the elderly and defrauding the handicapped are both felonies in the state of Texas.
Desired outcome: A bottle of orange juice be delivered to me
Dairy Department Tim Price and Hicks Road Chesterfield VA
Finding gallons of Kroger SKIM/nonfat milk is increasingly difficult. Today, October 26, we went to both stores (above) and there was no Kroger milk in gallon sizes of nonfat on the shelves. VERY frustrating as a long time customer, wastes gasoline, time and no milk.
Likewise--the Kroger website makes it impossible to communicate with personnel about an issue.
Desired outcome: keep store supplied.
Customer service in Deli
Went today 10/26/2022 to Krogers in Mansfield Texas to purchase meat produce from the Deli. There was a you lady (Pearlina) sp, behind counter that was on her phone txting. She noticed me but walk away to the back to finish her txting. Another lady who had been sweeping in the back came forward and help me. Now that lady did not wash her hands or put on gloves to wait on me. After the lady waited on me the other lady came out and just stood around. They were not busy because I was the only person at counter.
Desired outcome: Employee does not need to be on phone until they go on break or lunch and they need to wash hands or put on gloves before waiting on customer.
Employees who are rude and do not speak to the customer.
On 10/25/2022 I shopped at Kroger, 1670 Scenic Highway, Snellville Ga. 30078.
The employees in the store do not speak. The cashier who has direct one on one engagement with the customer never spoke. Her name is Chelsea. Time of checkout on receipt is 3:03 p.m. She had plenty of time to converse with her co-worker who was working self-checkout. I tried to contact the store manager who never came to the phone. I repeated this on 2 occasions. People who do not have customer service skills should never be employed at this store. Kroger needs management at this store. I will never shop Kroger again. I have 5 other store choices and I will shop elsewhere.
Desired outcome: Store should be closed. Management and employees need to be trained in basic human interaction skills. I spent over $1200.00 at Kroger this month. My choice for future shopping trips has been made for me...I will shop at Publix.
