I have had a UTI for about 10 days. On Sept. 13th my urine sample was sent from our clinic Alternatives For Women in Las Vegas to Labcorp. The container had only my first name, the receptionist forgot to put my last name. On Sept. 15th I received an email notice from Labcorp that they could not process the testing. WHY? They knew who I was to send me the...

LabCorp Labwork

On September 7th at approximately 11:30 my daughter was seen by Anne, a technician is the Pompton Lakes NJ office. My daughter has legitimate needle phobia- and Anne was informed by my daughter and husband prior to blood draw. My daughter and husband reported that Anne was very stern and had no compassion whatsoever. Grabbed her arm and just stuck her. My daughter called me hysterically crying and said she had 2 panic attacks. Now, I understand needle phobic patients can be challenging, but my daughter became panicked and Anne should have stopped. I have worked in healthcare for 20 years. My daughter has gone for blood work in other settings and treated with genuine concern and empathy. This is her first time at Labcorp and we will never go back. In addition, I spoke with her supervisor who was extremely defensive and rude. It appears your employees would benefit from a customer service series of classes. I am outraged by all of this behavior. I myself went for lab work the week prior in Wayne and I need to say the staff was cold and unfriendly. Nobody introduced themselves. If this is a representation of your company it is very sad. I would never recommend Labcorp and plan to spread the word in Pompton Lakes where I have resided for the past 15 years.

Desired outcome: A call back to further discuss this. And I am not paying for this visit.

LabCorp Closing before “closing time”

My son receives infusions regularly, and we have to check his bloodwork at the same time. Every 8 weeks I drop off his blood at the same LabCorp.

On September 1st 2023, I knew I was running later than usual to drop off his blood, but not after closing hour ( 5pm)

I got there at 4:53pm but the doors were already closed.

On my way there I was trying to call them, to make sure they won’t leave early, but only the answering machine came on.

That was 15 minutes before closing time and I called 3 times. Us patients count on that Lab being open and get our blood results.

Mind you, on their answering machine they state they close at 6pm, only on the door they have a sign saying closing hour is 5pm.

I am so very disappointed. A LabCorp office should not have the right to close before official closing time.

Desired outcome: No other patient should be let down.

LabCorp Billing

I called this company SIX times, yes SIX times and every time someone would answer, obtain my information, hear my billing issue and the phone would hang up. I used 2 different devices, thinking the poor connection was because of me, but no they HUNG UP! I finally was able to talk with someone long enough to request a supervisor. The call was being transferred to the supervisor and again the phone hung up. This is extremely frustration, unprofessional and I do not want to have to interact with this company. I called because of an online bill pay issue and still the issue is unresolved and I can obtain what I need for my FSA account. This is unacceptable. I would not recommend this company.

Desired outcome: SOMEONE TO CALL ME BACK AND ACTUALLY RESOLVE MY VERY SIMPLE ISSUE

I called this merchant SIX times and my issue was not resolved. Every time someone would answer the phone, obtain my identification information and the phone would either be disconnected or they would hang up the phone on me. I asked for a supervisor and the phone would disconnect before it was able to be transferred. They have my contact information and still have not CALLED ME BACK TO RESOLVE THIS ISSUE. Very Very unprofessional. I do not recommend this company.

LabCorp Blood test

I have type 2 diabetes and am on medicare. As part of a regular health checkup, my doctor ordered a series of blood tests. The one in question was a a1c hemoglobin test that has been paid by medicare for the last 6 years.

I took this work order to LabCorp in Wall , New Jersey. The lady who dealt with my paperwork informed me that a1c test listed on the work order would not be covered by Medicare and she printed out the Labcorp Form CMS-R-131 where the a1c test were listed and I checked and signed the appropriate section.

This same lady assured me that the third test on the work order form WAS covered by Medicare, so I went ahead and blood was drawn.

Several weeks later I received a bill from LabCorp which listed the a1c test had been performed on my blood. Medicare had been billed and had denied payment . LabCorp was billing me for a test that has always been covered.

This despite the fact that:

a) The work order from my doctor only specified the test.

b) The same test was performed bt Quest in Sea Girt NJ 3 months later and paid for by medicare.

I have been in touch with LabCorp repeatedly, but no-one has shown the slightest inclination to sort this mess out. In fact I received a form letter in the mail from them yesterday explaining that the bills are for “Clinical Laboratory Services Performed at the request of my physician”.

Stay right away from LabCorp. They are incompetent and unethical and their customer service is non-existent, nobody gives a damn.

Desired outcome: Force Labcorp to get what ever info from my doctor, supposedly a diagnostic code, and resubmit the claim to medicare

LabCorp Wrong Billing

I visited Village Medical located at 20675 Farm to Market 1093, A, Richmond, TX 77407 (phone number [protected]) for my annual wellness visit on March 10, 2023. I have had my health insurance with BlueCross BlueShield since 2010 and my annual wellness visit has always been covered by my insurance. I was surprised to receive a bill of $406.20 from LabCorp for the routine tests conducted during this visit. I called BlueCross BlueShield on the matter, and they explained that a wrong code was entered by the LabCorp when they submitted the bill, and it was not entered as test from a Wellness visit. I contacted LabCorp to relay the response from my health insurance company, that they should resend it with the correct code. They referred me back to Village Medical and said that the information they have was from the clinic. I contacted Village Medical billing, and they told me that their records show I do not owe anything, but then I informed them about the $406.20 bill from LabCorp and why BlueCross BlueShield did not cover the cost of my annual wellness check. While I was there, they sent a message to LabCorp on the matter to fix the issue. However, I kept getting the same bill from LabCorp and we have gone through this process repeatedly and they keep sending me this bill. I just got a notification that the bill has been sent to collection.

Desired outcome: LabCorp should withdraw the bill sent to collections; this is ridiculous. They have refused to do their due diligence and kept sending me this false bill. They should stop this nonsense.

LabCorp Bloodwork

Before my blood was taken I expressed to the doctor that I have a fear of needles and may pass out. The doctor's response was to say "oh lord" and then leave the room, the curtain open for everyone to see me and my information on the computer. She then shouted throughout the small building that "she had a fainter" - everyone including other doctors, patients, receptionists, and people in the waiting room could hear her. When I expressed my anger to her, she laughed. This was incredibly mortifying for me and made the whole process very difficult to get through. This behavior from a medical professional is unacceptable and could have been handled by discreetly asking her colleagues if they could let us use the room with the bed.

Desired outcome: This medical professional should be identified and suspended/fired, since I have heard from trusted family members that they have had similar negative experiences with her.

LabCorp So to post results

The past three years I've been forced to use LabCorp because my insurance won't allow any other lab to perform the work. Labcorp has closed all their locations near me, I now drive 9-15 miles in the Chicago Metro area to get to a facility. I make an appointment 1.5 weeks in advance (they only have one or 2 a day you can sign up for) and the results are never to my Doctor before 2-2.5 weeks. Other facilities or my Doctor's office is next day. Their Customer Service is horrible. You cannot speak to a person. Voicemail and Email only which both go unanswered for days at a time. I have to cancel my Doctor's appointment which I made a year in advance because the results take so long to get. Horrible service. Horrible sense of urgency on their part, and no customer service help what so ever. Completely shielded by technology so the don't have to work with their customers.

Desired outcome: Results of my blood draw posted today so I don't have to cancel my Dr's appointment and wait 3 months to get back in. Appt. Confirmation number was [protected]

LabCorp Debit my bank account without permission

I recently had doctor requested bloodwork completed. At the time of the blood draw, I paid my co-pay directly to the lab tech. Approximately one week later, i received an invoice from Lab Corp advising there was an additional charge and they had already debited my bank account. On checking my bank account, they had indeed taken their additional fee a few days prior. I emailed Lab Corp and requested an explanation. How can a company debit my account without my permission or awareness? Here is their response:

"Good afternoon,

Thank you for your email pertaining to Labcorp’s credit card authorization program.

When a patient's credit card information is provided at the lab on the date of service, an actual invoice for the testing is not mailed. An explanation of benefits will arrive from your insurance company. We adjust the invoice accordingly; charge your credit card for the amount that they advise is the patient's responsibility, and mail out a receipt of payment.

At this time, the credit card program is considered voluntary. If you prefer not to participate, you may advise the technician accordingly. You should not be refused service. Should you experience difficulty with this process at the Patient Service Center, please advise the technician to contact the billing office."

I never signed a credit card authorization with this company or facility. On discussing with an attorney, I have grounds for a civil suit. I post here so others can be aware.

Desired outcome: I want others to be aware. I want a refund. And I won't ever be using them again,.

LabCorp Bianca Vencato, Customer Service Rep, Onsite Staffing

Bianca Vencata scheduled appointment w/me for your Nationwide Health Educator position on 7-13-23 for 8/17/23, 11 am, which I thought was so far in advance from her email to me, asking for a time to schedule an interview.

I emailed her yesterday @ [protected]@labcorp.com to confirm our 11 am scheduled interview. She confirmed.

Today, nearly 2.5 hours AFTER the scheduled 11 am interview, she emailed me, cancelling it stating someone else was selected.

Emails I mentioned are attached.

Not only is this unprofessional, it is extremely disrespectful of my time that I lost to paying clients!

If this HR person is representative of LabCorp, I do NOT want to work for such a company. If not, then, you have some serious training/retraining to do w/this person who not only lacks courtesy and respect, she is markedly deficient in professionalism - a quality that is not enticing to bringing quality people into your company!

LabCorp Not receiving lab results

I was ordered to do a stool sample as part of tests and labs I’m doing to uncover the reason I have had terrible stomach aches and I turned in my stool sample at the Labcorp located in Islandia inside of Walgreens on June 8th and have not gotten any results back. I had a doctors appointment on July 7th in which they also weren’t able to locate the sample. I contacted Labcorp customer service via email and on July 14th they emailed me back initially. On July 17th they informed me they’ve contacted the supervisor of the location and on the 21st of July they told me that the supervisor would be contacting me that day. The supervisor never reached out via phone call or email. On July 27th I emailed customer service back to inform them that the supervisor did not reach out to me and they informed me that they will make contact with that supervisor again. August 8th will make it 2 months since I’ve turned in my sample and still have not been offered a solution or any answers by LabCorp as to where my test results are.

Hi there, this is my first and only complaint about an employee of Labcorp as I have used your services for many years. She was the only one there doing the...

LabCorp Still awaiting test results…

I’ve been waiting almost 10 business days for the results of a test that was supposed to take 5 days at most per the labcorp website. When I call labcorp, they say “the lab is experiencing delays and they can’t give an exact date. Could be 1 to 2 weeks.” WTF?!? I’ve literally spent $750+ out of pocket (uninsured) on testing at labcorp but I can’t even get treated because I’m STILL WAITING ON RESULTS. I can’t even have the follow up appointment with my doctor because I don’t have results. This is unacceptable Labcorp!

Desired outcome: Provide a date test results will be available.

LabCorp Results not sent to provider or patient

On JUly 17 I had an appointment to get blood drawn at a labcorp on Saxon Avenue, inside walgreens in Orange city. At 0945 I had blood drawn. I have been waiting for the results and my doctor is still waiting for the results. I tried contacting labcorp but nobody will get back to me. They did the same thing in March of this year. They bill my insurance company but we don't get the results. Highly unusual because I have not had any previous problems with Labcor in the past 4 years. Something is fishy here and I plan to file a complaint with their regulating agency in Tallahassee. My life is essentially in their hands and I am unable to get anyone to respond to me.

Desired outcome: I need my results or I file a major complaint

LabCorp LabCorp Appointment Scheduling: Easy but Flawed System for Drug Testing

I recently had to take a drug test for a job and decided to use LabCorp's services. With the current Covid-19 situation, I was unsure about the scheduling process and requirements, so I called their customer service line. Unfortunately, I was directed to a voicemail system that only provided basic information. However, the voicemail did instruct me to visit their website to schedule an appointment.

Upon visiting their website, I was able to easily navigate to the appointment scheduling page. I selected the "Employment Drug Screen" option and was given several time options. I chose 8:45am and printed out my appointment confirmation. I arrived at the LabCorp location ten minutes early and signed in. The system immediately notified the receptionist that I was there for drug testing.

However, I was then informed that drug screening did not start until 10am. I was confused because I had selected the "Employment Drug Screen" option and was given the option to choose an earlier time. The receptionist explained that there was a glitch in their system and that the website clearly stated the times for drug testing. Frustrated, I had to drive back home and waste 30 minutes of my time.

After returning home, I revisited their website and read over the appointment scheduling process again. While it does mention the drug testing times after selecting a location, there is no clear explanation of the glitch in the system or any differences between scheduled appointments and walk-ins. It was evident from my conversation with the receptionist that this was a common issue that she had to apologize for frequently.

Overall, I was disappointed with my experience with LabCorp. While the appointment scheduling process was easy, the glitch in their system caused me to waste time and energy. I hope that they can fix this issue soon to prevent future inconveniences for their customers.

LabCorp Labcorp's Incorrect Coding Caused Unnecessary Expenses and Stress - Disappointing Experience

Went to Labcorp for my annual physical bloodwork and it's been a tradition for me for decades. The person who handled my paperwork was different from the usual one I deal with. There was a small fee of about $4 that I had to pay, but I kept receiving invoices for it. I called them and even my insurance company, but it seemed that the code was entered incorrectly, with the last digit off. I communicated with them via email and told them about it, but months later, I received another bill. To my surprise, it has now been sent to a collection agency. This small error has caused hundreds of dollars to be spent just to correct it, involving Labcorp, my insurance company, myself, and another party.

I was recommended to go to Quest for my tests because their information goes directly into my doctor's office files. However, I liked one of the Labcorp offices, but now I'm considering going to Quest because of this experience. It seems that Labcorp offices are disappearing, and I wonder if this is one of the reasons why. The small charge should not be legitimate since these routine tests are covered by my insurance. I even informed Labcorp that my insurance thought the coding was incorrect, but they never got back to me. It looks like Labcorp will lose thousands of dollars in business since they did all my lab work, but I will go elsewhere. It's a shame that there are only two labs across the country that do this work, Labcorp and Quest.

Overall, my experience with Labcorp was disappointing. The error in the coding caused unnecessary stress and expenses. I hope that Labcorp will improve their communication and customer service to prevent this from happening to others.
