peeling fabric on sectional couch (bonded leather)
For the past year i have noticed the deterioration of my sectional shays lounge purchased in late 2013, realizing there was no warrantee i researched having the product repaired at my expense.i only found that the furniture has to be replaced and many other victims were to be found with the same case.so i decided to call leons today feb8 2017 to see if they still carry this type of product and there reply was that they still have it for sale .so i advised them of the limited lifespan and how disapointed i am for their marketing team to carry this cheap quality product .i hope leons will upgrade their standards in the future .if i find a store in the future that uses this dangerous to childern material and environment-friendly products i will warn them of this and proceed to the next vendor .

Leon's lied to me twice. I purchased this set 13 months ago. I was told by two employees if I see my set cheaper in flyer I would get my money back. I saw my set cheaper and was told by the manager I was misinformed and he had a pile of papers sitting in front of him of other clients he had to call to tell them same thing. I purchased the extended warranty because I was told everything was covered. Behold the second lie. I called warranty dept. because one of my sofa arms went flat. U can tell there was not enough stuffing from manufacturer. Warranty dept told me this was not covered. This set cost me 3000 and I am not impressed. I'm going further with this one

My Complaint is regarding to eligible Boxing Day discount. Here is the complete story if you may help me to get justice;
I have been waiting for Boxing days sales since I get my new home possession in June 2016. Hence on the Boxing day 26th December 2016 I reach to your Calgary Leon’s store early in the morning at 8AM to get the best deal. I checked the furniture on the floor which I wanted and talked to the sale's representative for Boxing day sale. He mentioned that you will get 15% off on any furniture you buy today available on the floor. His offer looked very convincing to me. I gave my all the documents so that Leon's should check my credit and eligible me for furniture purchase. Then I roam around the store and found the Sofa, love seat and Coffee table fits into my budget with ongoing discount. Ali Siddiqi (sale's representative at Leon’s Calgary) has been great convincing me to buy furniture. I also bought Samsung TV and Wall Mount as well. He also mentioned that there will be no discount on electronics, I agreed. I went on the payment counter and complete the process for finance and paid all the mandatory fees mentioned by Ali. And went home.
I was expecting delivery on 30th of December 2016 which I received ontime. While receiving delivery I was signing documents for the delivery people and realized that Ali didn't applied 15% which he was talking about during the sell of sofa, love seat and coffee table. Immediately I called Leon’s and asked for Ali’s attention if he is making any mistake. He was not there, so I talked to customer service representative. I gave all the required information to find my invoice and details. She checked and mentioned that I am not ‘eligible’ for any discount. She mentioned that discount on Sofa and love seat already has been given but I can’t seem to find anything on the invoice. Next day I called again to talk to Ali but he was again not there. So Customer service rep forwarded call the some manager. He was even worse and rude, said straight forward NO for any commitment like this. I couldn’t able to continue my call because I was going to India to visit my family on the same day and had to catch flight, so I told him I will meet him once I am back from India.
Once I am back from India, I went to Leon’s store on 28th Jan-2017 to discuss matter. I talked to one more manager, he explained me that price tag was wrong on Sofa and Love seat so you are not eligible for that. He also mentioned that it was Leon’s mistake not changing price tags on day before the Boxing Day night. He called it “human error”. But you can get $92 off on coffee table. I said, when I checked Sofa and LoveSeat price on Boxing Day, it was $719 and $703 respectively. I am supposed to get 15% off on that. But now they are completely denying that. Then finally another store manager came and said that if you don’t want furniture we can pick it up and refund your money but you will not get any 15% off on Sofa and Love seat in very rudely and disrespected way. I requested them to give me call from Ali and I would like to discuss with him only. And left store.
I have been waiting for Boxing day sales for more than 6 months so that I can save some money and now when I am actually eligible for that Leon’s wants to take my furniture back. I calculated and I should be getting approx. $250-$300 discount. I have a picture of every item’s price tags to prove they are wrong for not giving me any discount.
Can you please investigate this case and help me get justice. I am middle class man, saving every pennies to get want we need. And Leon’s store manager being so rude about this. If I will not get satisfactory and disappointing. It is been one more week and didn’t get call back from Ali to negotiate the matter. I feel so bad about this. I could have return items and complain to Alberta board about this but I got my credit hit by leon’s once and my boxing day chance is gone. Now I can’t wait one more year to get good price discount.

sales person had a very bad attitude
I walked in to Leon's, on Jan 24, 2017 4pm located in Richmond, bc . I was going to buy a headboard that is on sale . I didn't see any salesperson around the floor, there's two ladies busy to moved the furniture. I asked them for help, and they called a salesman came . I told him I'm going to buy a queen side headboard. He checked the computer and told me no stock . I have to go pick up at the warehouse. I requested that transfer to the store, and I could come pick up another day . He very rude and said NO . THIS IS A SHOWROOM, YOU HAVE TO PICK IT UP AT THE WAREHOUSE ONLY . He had a bad attitude. I felt like I'm not welcome and cannot afford it, And Also I think he is RACIAL DISCRIMINATION.
my coffee table and end table issues

There are some damages in the tables and they sent the technician come to fix but the technician said the tables couldn't be fixed. sofa and loveseat
I purchsed a sofa and love seat in April of 201. I am 76 years old so figuring this would be my last purchase of this kind. The loveseat had to be replaced do to peeling and seams coming apart which took quite a few weeks for this to be placed, few months later I noticed that there was numerous sections of both pieces peeling, leons replaced each piece, obviously there is a problem with the material. Now for the third time I have a problem with the material peeling and scoffing..there is a problem with this material from the manufacturer, Spoke to the store here in London and the lady I spoke to acted like this was the only time I have had issue with the product and said that the pieces that were damaged would be replaced. Thats not acceptable this is the third time in less than a year I have had the same issue with the products.
I would like my money back, as at this point I don't trust Leons for my purchases I have never had any problems with leons in the past and I have made many purcheses over the years.
kitchen appliances 5 year extended warranty
Two years ago I have bought all five appliances (Samsung) from Leon's Scarborough Store. First week my Dishwasher broke down and they Samsung took a week or so to fix it and in a span of one year repair happened three times through Samsung and in second year it happened again and Leon's extended warranty took two weeks to send technician and after having strong arguments they gave us credit voucher and we end up spending another $300 to have it replaced with Kitchen Aid Dishwasher.
Currently I am having problem with my Samsung stove and Leon's extended warranty gave me 20 days time line to get this fixed. This is very painful and unfortunate at there part they are not able to provide us the repair immediately.
After all spending big money with Leon's only we the customer is suffering only with there bad after sales services in case of repairs or replacement of faulty appliances. Seems like they sold us refurbished items.

We bought kitchen appliances in the month of Aug'2016, that was a Samsung Fridge, Gas Stove and Dishwasher.
The Dishwasher stopped working in Nov'2016 same day we registered complaint to Samsung Canada wide ticket number [protected], Samsung technician visited us two time but every time came with wrong part.I wrote so many email's to Samsung, and visit Leons store located at Bovaird and Mclaughlin but there was no response till date.
We are facing too much harassment from you guys and Samsung Canada.Now we are looking for legal way out to sorted out my concern, we are going to write to consumer protection department and going to make both of you parties for mental as well financial harassment .
My propose to writing you people is only to make you aware that this is what is happening with your customers, we came to big stores like yours with trust that we gonna get better service but we never think about harassment. I am giving you another 5 working days if you want to handle the situation and make me satisfied.

I was going to post a complaint about misleading sales staff (Kyle) and rude, incompetent managers (Xavier) and the lies they tell about when furniture will be delivered. More specifically the Stoney Creek store. But I can see from other complaint that this is an ongoing issue with Leon's in general. Wish I had read the reviews/ complaints, and the fact that they are not addressed, prior to my purchase. In any event, fool me once Leon's, but you will never fool me again. Or any of my friends and family if I can help it.

I ordered a couch set and Stove on the Final day of the deal.
August 23, 2016 was the day.
I called and talked to a customer service representative to veryify the deal; before I even ordered the items.
I was assured that was the deal.
I received the items and the couch, chair set were covered in blue specks from the blankets. The items were covered after they were sprayed with a protectant; which damaged the items.
I then had to wait an ADDITIONAL 2 weeks for replacement items.
Leon's was not very friendly about any of this.
I want the $800 paid by Leon's for the trouble I received.
I have been receiving THREATENING phone calls from Leon's Desjardins credit card; about late payments.
I don't owe any payments for 5 years; so why am I getting these calls.
I am EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED in this company and will NEVER deal with Leon's or the Brick again.
I am also going to file a complaint with the better business bureau about the False Advertising and FRAUD that Leon's has committed.
I have made numerous phone calls to Leon's head office.
Nobody answers the phone there or returns any of my calls.
Desjardins is threatening to put me in the Credit bureau Now because of you.
I am extremely ticked off and want this dealt with Today!

I had my father and mother's permission for the sale; and they were also present.

My husband and I went to Leons in Brantford Ontario and purchase a sofa and loveseat set back on Nov 6 2016. At that time the Salesperson told us that the furniture was in stock and we should have our order in 4 to 5 weeks. We thought that this was great because we wanted the new furniture before Christmas since our old sofa was broken. Then two weeks before Christmas the store called to arrange delivery and after we set the time they called back and told us that half of the loveseat is missing. We were like how can that happen. So they told us that they were looking into this and would call us back. after a week and we did not hear anything we called the store and was told that they were still looking into this and would call us back. Three weeks later no call so we called again. Spoke to a lady and they were looking into this issue. She did call back but just to tell us that they cannot find the other half of the loveseat and that they cannot guarantee delivery until the end of Jan. This is NOT ACCEPTABLE to us waiting more then 3 months for furniture. I work and retail and customer service and would never give my clients the run around like we have had. We asked if they could guarantee to get our set in two weeks and they said no. We would love to give you our business but Leons I guess they don't want our business. We have asked to have our MasterCard credited back and you have lost our business for good. they should have been on top of this!

dining table chairs
We purchased our chairs in sept 2014. We paid 600 dollars plus tax for six chairs. We have not used them much because we are eating our meals in the kitchen around island table. Due to holiday season in the last couple weeks we started to use more. Their legs are lossened up, and craked all over, the shape of cushions deformed and makes horible squizing sound and you fill the springs in your skin, very unconfortable. My sister got her dining room chairs froma lauqudation store and paid 30 dollars for each, she has been using them 6 years now and they are still have better shape then mines. I have called the customer service but I was tald that because it is over 1 year and there is nothing they can do for me. It is ok I had bad experinece with Bricks furniture that is why I throw them all and purchased everything from Leons 2 years ago when I moved to my new home. You pay more and get less quaility.

On Dec 17/16 I went to Leon's to look for a dryer. I told them that I was going to wait until after Christmas when all of the sales start to see if I found this dryer cheaper. I was told not to worry that if I found the dryer at a cheaper price within the next 60 days they would refund me the difference. I purchased the dryer for $629.99 + $81.90 HST total of $711.89. I found the exact same dryer for $548.00, I called the store on Dec. 30/16 about the price match and was told to bring in a printed copy showing the cheaper price. When I arrived at the store with the paper work they would not match the price. They also told me they do not accept returns on appliances.
I want a refund of $92.65.
A difference in price of $81.99 +HST $10.66

Sunday Dec.18, 2016 my husband and I were in the London Ontario store and purchased a diningroom table that we saw on the showroom floor. In conversation with our salesman "BRISBANE" we asked would we definitely receive this table before xmas, as I was selling our old one t get it out of the way for the new table for xmas dinner, to which he replied absolutely it would be in the following Thursday, they had just had a meeting that morning and the manager of the store guaranteed it would be here before Xmas. We paid for the table and our salesman gave us the receipt and instructed us to come back Thursday and pick it up. We came Thursday and it wasn't there, but we were promised it would be there friday. My husband drove across the city again friday and in fact did have the table loaded on the truck. When he got home he started to take the boxs apart and set up the table after everything was opened he discovered that we were missing the base of the table. We called the sore to find out that the salesman "forgot" to order that part of the table. When i got home my husband explaind what was wrong, I called the store and asked if we could simply bring back the pedestals, leave them at the store and take the entire table base with the pedestals attached so we could have a complete table. They had to talk to their manager and call us back. They called back, left no message so I called them back and asked for an answer to which they told me i could not have the table base in the store, but I could drive to the London store and they would give me a "loaner" wooden table, or drive to Brampton and pickup our base and they would give us $25 for gas. We've already driven across the city twice just to pick up our table and now they wanted us to drive even more. Then they told us that since they made the mistake of not ordering the base of the table that when we come back the following Thursday (tomorrow) we have to pay for it. How do you sell a customer 2/3rds of a table. All that Anita could say to us was that she didn't understand how you wouldn't order the base since you need it to make a table, but didn't have an answer for us. Perhaps someone at your head office could explain this to us. We paid for a table, why do we have to pay more for a mistake done by the salesman, this is terrible customer service. I would love to speak to someone who could justify selling anyone a table that doesn't have anything to hold it up. I've added the picture off your site, showing what the table should have looked like, and a picture of what the table looked like that we received, the glasstop isn't in the picture, but we did have that with us. As you can see the base that holds the entire table together is what we are missing.
salesperson lied about price of sofa
Placed an order for a reclining loveseat at Leons during Black Friday week and was promised that there was "no tax" on the item because of Black Friday sale.
Salesperson also promised that this item will go on further sale during boxing week and that if we place order now, we will receive a rebate for the boxing week sale price, if we order the item now and pay for the item during boxing week.
We just went in today to pay for the item and:
1) There is no mention on our invoice about no tax
2) This item has not gone on further sale.
The salesperson lied just to make the sale. And now we have no recourse. Leons is refusing to even follow through on the no tax promise.

I ordered a dining dining table, from a salesperson Glenda from the North York location near jane and Wilson. My delivery came on a Tuesday afternoon Dec. 13th and my table was damage. Very disappointed!
I had a Christmas party schedule at my new place that I just moved in Dec 1st for that Friday afternoon. That was cancelled of course because I don't have a table and this big box is in the middle of my living room. my plans were ruined!
I said fine I will wait till Sat for my delivery, which was scheduled for Sat 17th from 11 to 3pm. I understand there was a snow storm, and there was a delay, but how come I wasn't informed until I had to call the delivery department which I don't think anyone works at. I had to call 4 times and ask customer service to tell me where the drivers are. No one could tell me nothing, which at this point is already 4:30 in the afternoon. I haven't left my place all day so my delivery would come ! This is why we should look at our merchandise when we received on delivery, you guys take our money !
I was very disappointed with the customer service...who's says to a customer just wait. I had my nieces birthday Saturday evening, which I wasn't going to miss ! its enough I missed my own Christmas party. I bought food and meat and order catering. I spent a lot of money all my friends cancel their plans so they can make it...and i had to cancel !I was so mad !
I finally got a call at 8:45pm that sat from the driver for delivery !

Iam utterly disturbed as im having a dinner coming up i was charged extra at the counter which i realized after reaching home.i was being told it will be refunded never heared back sales order didnt mention the bunk bed we were told upon delievery we will be getting it which we didnt we were told we will be getting a call the morning when the stuff will be delievered which i have not gotten..i have 2 infants to take care off i was taking nap not knowing tht stuff will arrive before I getting a call i live in basement they rung my land lady's door she knocked my door upon not answering she thought iamnot home signed and have taken the stuff which was lying at laundry area i called and pleaded for help to leons as they should have called me before delievery i wasbeing told that but they said now nothing can happen a representative told me on the phone i can talk to truck driver my self i said why should i talk? I know leons and not any truck driver then she sais she will look into the matter and will get back to me which she never..i called again where i was than directed to ware house manager since i was pissed off as she clearly refused thatshe cannot do any thing to make my stuff reach the basement and was not even sorry for calling me beforehand suggested i should do it my self bunk bed coffee table side table managing all alone is one hell of a job i said ok give me truck driver's number she said she can not give which earlier i was told i can be given.Well upon checking the stuff got to know love seat and the big sofa is missing i was clueless as to what has happened called back n than got to know it was never delievered sales order said it has to be delievered on dec 14th and if for any reason that has happened they should inform me earlier.I told the sales representative at the time of purchase I have a family dinner and I need it before that is on 20th Dec.He said yes you will be delievered and yesterday when i asked ok so why i was not being told earlier that i wont be getting it on time the lady said oh she didnt know..and than upon asking when am I getting it now she said she dont know only sales representative can tell who is not in since two days and today when i called he left early because of weather and again she didnt know when will i be getting it i have messaged the sales associate last night so the first thing he will do upon reaching is to look into the case and will get back to me but never heared back is there a thing like CUSTOMER COMES FIRST? And every body since start is clearly making mess now even as of now iam unaware as to when Iam getting stuff? And yes the lady to whom I talked today said only the love seat is available and not the sofa..ok so if its not available why was i being promised at first place?

On the last week of October 2016 I purchased a couch at full retail price of $699, and paid for delivery of this item as well. The sales person assured me that if this item went on sale I could come back and use the price protection within 60 days. Today we are not yet at 60 days.
My Sofa went on sale two or even three times now. Today it is on sale for $399, black friday it was on sale for 199. I went in to the store to ask for my price proctection and was originally told "No, nothing we can do" then Phil the manager on the floor told me he would see what he could do. Came back out of his office and said I'll give you $200 back plus tax, for a refund of $226. I said thats not the total amount, and stated that I don't understand how their policy is so misleading. I asked for the money of course and they said they would have to mail me a cheque. I asked the receptionist how long it should take to get my cheque and the answer was 2 weeks, well it has now been 3 weeks so I called the store and am being given the run around, told that they would call me back, still nothing.
Oh and the delivery guy broke an ornament that we got as a gift for our wedding! Should I ask for a cheque in the mail for that too? Maybe I will get that sometime next year?
NOT IMPRESSED. I am in retail and would take big flack for this level of service. I want my money, and I am not prepared to wait for it.
