On 31.08.19, I purchased 49"Smart LED samsung TV from LuLu Sohar. Sales man brought TV pack which was not sealed and took out TV and power cord connected and showed me for 20 secs. They took my signature on their warranty paper. Same day I purchased Samsung 600L Fridge from Lulu. They suggest me to carry the TV in my car and Fridge will be delivered next day. Lulu staff shifted TV pack up to my car and placed in my car. My home is 5 mins away from Lulu. My wife and I personally with care shifted the TV to my home, 2nd floor through lift.
Old 40" TV which was already running properly took out and New TV took from pack and placed on 3 seater leather sofa and base legs fixed. Then it was shifted to stand and power connected. It was very good for first 20-25 mins. Then fine thin color lines started at top middle corner and extended up to center of the screen. Then we switched off and on it again. Those marks become thicker and permanent black image/spot took place at the top middle corner. Then time was 10:30 pm.
Next day I went to Lulu and showed the the mobile captured picture. They asked to bring it back immediately. So took back the TV to Lulu. They checked and said screen got pressed and take back to your home. Samsung technician will come and give report. 2 days later technician came and he alone took out TV and power connected and witnessed the problem and told us give back to Lulu. He had reported, there are no signs of physical damage or fall from height. Mostly they will replace.
Next day (3/9/19) I gave back the TV to Lulu and asked them to support. Surprisingly there was zero support from Lulu. They are least bothered of your concern. They speak to their seniors in Malayalam and told me that Samsung can't replace it. Damage done by you. You have to pay 70% of the cost. Finally I left TV with them. Not a single person contacted me from Lulu for next 5 days.
Then I went to consumer court in Sohar and complained. Today they arranged a meeting at 11 am. Lulu staff came at 12 PM. Consumer court trying to resolve the matter at out of court settlement. Samsung Sohar branch head and Lulu Sohar branch head both are Keralites and came together. They joined together and played everything against me.
My point is, if my old 40" TV is working well in spite of shifting 3 houses in 5 years, how come a new TV can damage from shifting Lulu to my house which is 5 mins away. If it is so delicate, why Lulu sale guys are pushing customers to take away the Items along with them. They should guide us to go for first installation by their staff.
Fridge which was supposed to deliver next day was delivered 3 days later. Their delivery crew was in so hurry that simply created panic at my home. I was in office and my wife struggled a lot with the kind of behavior. They are asking money as token of appreciation. Of course I complained this in Lulu.
I am lodging my complaint here as a last hope. Let see what happens.
