Meritless suspended online shopping privileges
Macy's has declined to the lowest possible caliber. Macy's discriminates. I ordered a dozen panties for my toddler. Waited almost 4wks, without notification delay. When I didn't receive the panties, I called to find out why they were delayed. A representative told me it will be shipped soon. How soon I asked, she had no explanation.
As a result, I asked for this order be canceled. Subsequently, received a letter, that my online shopping privileges were permanently canceled.
I was beside myself. My toddler was in the middle of patty training. We solely rely on those panty to help expedite her training, instead, her potty training revert back to square one.
On numerous occasions I contacted supervisors and customer service representatives, I was only told the case will be submitted to a team who will make a final decision, whether or not my online shopping privileges will be reinstated. The Supervisor told me I would have received a decision, a week after Thanksgiving. No one has responded, my online shopping privileges are still suspended, for no fault of mine. This same Supervisor said she doesn't see when this happened to me. Due to the fact the package was never shipped. In fact nothing was done, but my credit card was charged. This is how Macy's treats its loyal customers. I've been shopping with Macy's 20 something years, and was ever treated this way. I plan to share this experience with family, friends, associates, acquaintances, strangers, etc. I don't wish this unfair treatment on any customer.
Desired outcome: Online shopping privileges reinstated and charges returned to my account.

Evolution dining table, 7 pc. Web ID: [protected]
I purchased an above referenced dining table sometime in May and received it in July this year. 6 chairs are bad, there are quite a few of chips, scratches and cuts on the edge and front of the chairs for all 6 chairs. They are very rough furniture. Your inspector came over and acknowledged the problem. Later on, we have exchanged the 6 chairs. However, we are not satisfied with the replacement, but we don't have a choice. They are the low-quality chairs and were made in overseas.
A few weeks ago, I polished the table and discovered that there is a couple of shining spots on the table. I don't know how to get shining spots off the table even I tried. I filed a complaint because it has spent me a lot of time to deal with the quality issues one after another. This is the poor/defective furniture.
Desired outcome: Please replace the table with a good quality one. Your attention and assistance in this matter is appreciated.
charged for cancelled order
On November 23, 2022 I made an order that initially went through however it was later cancelled (for unknown reasons) however my account was still debited. I made contact with customer care via the chat box who then tried to solicit my full card number details, phone number and address. I Found the entire interaction bizarre and of no help. My order number should be sufficient for them to assist me.
Desired outcome: I would like to either have to funds applied to intended order or return funds so that i can reorder
Billing error on your part, WORST customer service I have EVER received.
I ordered 3 of the same item on 11/22 & called back to add 1 more of the same product throughthe automated line & somehow managed to get thru to customer service to verify that my order was corrected & was assured that it went from 3 to 4 items with a new amount due. This morning I had 2 debits to my account, 1 for 3 items & 1 for 4 items. Consequently I have not only this overdraft but I will have 2 more when my 2 more debits hit my account. I filed a dispute on this with my bank after trying to talk to a customer service representative for 47 mins & 14 sec
She then just transferred me to credit card info. I have made 5 calls here & even tried live chat. I need a resolution NOW. My bank can't make an adjustment or even stop pymt on my account because of the dispute I filed. I finally got a supervisor who told me to use this authorization code & they will adjust my account & said call over & transferred me auto line for survey
Calls for macy's to a car dealership
Hello and good morning. My name is Mary Williams and I work for a car dealership in Daphne, Alabama. For the last month, maybe longer I have been receiving calls from Macy's customers that are trying to make a payment on their bill and what have you. Of course, I can't help them because there is absolutely NO affiliation between our store (that sells Nissan vehicles) and a department store. The last few days I have tried reaching out to anyone from Macy's, including the main store in Herald's Square location in New York. I have been hung up on, told to just transfer the Macy's customers to them (the billing department?), etc. I don't believe this is feasible idea because to be perfectly honest, I'm not sure if this is scam or not. Help needs to be given to these people and figure out what exactly is going on, and if this is a scam then it needs to be shut down immediately. Thank you for your help and have a blessed day.
Men's Sweaters Shipment
Order #[protected] was place on 11/13/22. As of this writing the details on the website indicates it is still be processed. When I contacted customer service by phone the automated system indicated it is stilling being packed and expected to be delivered 11/23/22. Today is 11/22/22. Very disappointed in the lack of communication. Never received any information that the order was going to be delayed.

Not reactivating a never been used retirement gift card
I received a $150.00 Macy's gift card as a retirement gift from students after working in education for more than 30 years. I retired in 2012. I misplaced the gift card, I moved, and things in life happened.
I found my gift card in September 2022. I started to use my gift card and was told it was blocked due to no use. I live in California and I thought gift cards did not expire. I called Macys Sept. 17, 2022 and was told the card would be reactivated in 30 - 60 days. I checked on it in Oct., this time I was told to take it to the store and I could use it because a new gift card would not be issued. This did not work, card was rejected. Today I called again 11/21/2-22 and was told
a new card would be sent out in 7 - 10 business days. Called just to confirmed and was told the card was not in the system because of no use. What happened to cards not expiring?
I am a 72 year old senior and $150 to be used for the holidays is significant.
Desired outcome: I would appreciate returning my $150.00 gift card.

Upon arrival of my online order, I proceeded to try on the pants I received. To my surprise a portion of the security device was left in the pocket of the pants and resulted in a long cut on my leg. Very disappointed that this was left unchecked, and caused me injury due to someone’s negligence. For future customers sake I hope items are being checked for these types of hazards before being sent to customers.
Furniture delivery
Furniture delivered on 10/27/22 with one piece missing (the main section). The delivery truck from Dayton to Columbus marked the delivery as complete even though they knew of the missing piece. They also left remnants of the furniture covering in our driveway. My wife and I have called the store at Polaris Fashion Mall and was told we would get a response in 48 hours regarding the missing piece. Two days later, no response. We called again today and still nothing from the warehouse. Spoke to a representative (James) who mentioned all escalations don't receive priority as they also get a 48-hour response. We are demanding someone contact us and get this resolved ASAP as we've been given no response from anyone, from the warehouse or the store. We need our furniture by 11/3 or we will go to corporate as high as we can go. Contact # [protected]

Price matching of an item
Earlier today at 2:28 pm I contacted Macy’s customer service to price match a dining room table that was on sale both at Macy’s and at Overstock. Macy’s price was $170.00 plus $18.00 in shipping not including the taxes. The customer service woman was rude and loud when I was asking here why they did not price match with Overstock. The customer service woman said that Macy’s only price matches w/a box store like Target or Walmart. I had to ask the woman twice to lower her voice. I was not yelling at her. I asked her if she was from the United States and she said no but did not tell me what country she was from. I asked to speak with someone in the United States and she told me that she did not have the ability to transfer me to the US.
I later found the same dining room table at Walmart for $156.75 and free shipping. So i called the customer service department at Macy’s this evening at 8:47pm. I spoke with a customer service man and he told me that Macy’s does not price match. I explained that for almost 20 years of being a customer of Macy’s I never encountered this problem in the past. I asked the customer service gentleman if I could speak to a supervisor and he told me that his supervisor will tell me the same thing. I again asked to speak to the supervisor. He said that he first had to speak to the supervisor. I was then put on hold. The supervisor came on the call and said my words didn’t matter and he didn’t care. I asked him where he was from and he said Columbia.
I asked him to transfer me to someone in the United States. The supervisor said goodbye. I didn’t know if it meant that he was going to hang up on me or what. I was on hold no longer then 2 minutes and I was able to talk to someone in the United States. She was from the credit department. She listened to my explanation of what had happen and she deeply apologized. She said that she would transfer me to someone in the United States that would honor the price and free shipping.
I was put on hold again and then a woman from a different country came on the line to take my order. I told her the price that wa advertised at Walmart and had to repeat it twice. All of sudden I got an automated questionnaire on the service given by the customer service department of Macy’s.
To say the least I was very angry. As a platinum member of Macy’s I will consider taking my business elsewhere!
It is a shame that Macy’s is sourcing jobs out of the United States when there are many in the US that need jobs. While giving the jobs to arrogant men that treat women like [censored]!

Macy's credit card Rip Off! Charging for items Returned!!
I have purchased and returned several items recently. I am petite, and they don't carry my size in stores, so I have to order items to try them on. Many items are too big and don't fit - even with brands they carry that used to fit me.
What I'm angry about is they are extremely slow in putting the money back on my card and crediting the account. I have made a few large payments to pay the balance in full, but they are still charging me for items I have returned.
If I don't pay what they're asking, they will charge me $29 in fees MINIMUM! They have charged me more "fees" in the last couple months than in the prior 10+ years I've been using the card.
Also, their customer service team was completely incapable of answering my questions, or telling me any additional info that I wasn't already able to see online. This store, and especially their credit card processes and services, and gone downhill to the point I am going to cancel - ONCE I GET THE MONEY BACK THAT I HAVE OVERPAID DUE TO THEIR HORRIBLE, DISHONEST CREDIT CARD PRACTICES.
Desired outcome: CREDIT MY CARD FOR ALL MY RETURNS - WHICH ARE EASILY VIEWABLE ONLINE - AND STOP CHARGING ME FOR ITEMS YOU HAVE BACK IN YOUR POSSESSION. SOMEONE WITH SOME KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITY TO FIX THE SCENARIO NEEDS TO CALL ME.
TRAD LUGGAGE [protected] 752/37
Luggage purchased on Saturday 15th October at 1.19pm from Macy's. Made way to JFK Airport on Saturday around 3pm for flight to London Heathrow and onto Edinburgh but between getting out of the taxi at the airport and getting to the bag drop at airport a wheel had fallen off. I have tried to push this back on but it wont stay on. FYI this was only a second luggage set to go home with and only weighed 17kg. I purchased it because I thought it was good value.
This suitcase is now not fit for purpose.
I know I am now back home in Scotland and to be honest I wasn't going to do anything about it but the more I thought about it, I thought why not try and claim something back after spending a total of $152.41 and the large suitcase now being useless.
Desired outcome: Refund - will consider part refund
Customer Service
I accidentally made a payment to a closed Macys account in July. Macys has so far refused to refund my payment. My bank sent Macys proof that the payment was sent and accepted on their end. It has been over three months, and I have also sent Macys every bit of information that they have asked for. I am not giving up and will continue the fight. The world is going to know just how horrible this company is.
Desired outcome: Obviously I would like my hundred dollar payment refunded.
Jewelry Repair
Dropped off my Gold, Diamond and Onyx Ring at the Macy's Meadowood Mall Store in Reno Nevada, on August 21, 2022 because the stone had fallen out, and it needed to be replaced. I talked to Jim the Jeweler and sent him a clear Text message asking him to, "return my ring if he could not get the stone replaced in 3-4 weeks."
He agreed, after I informed him that I was leaving the country for the winter. I also told him I would be back in 2023 and would have more time then, and absolutely didn't want to be parted from my ring all winter.
Approximately a week after I dropped my ring off, Jim decides to mail it off to Ohio without my knowledge or authorization. He still refuses to give me an estimate of how much longer he plans to push my repair to the "back of the bus" as he works on newer jobs. He Text me telling me my ring and Onyx Stone were returned on September 24th, 2022. It is now October 13, 2022 almost 8 weeks later.
Tying to call Jewelry Repair at extension 3160 is a waste of time. In order to reach Jewelry Repair you have to call the Jewelry Department and they will deliver a note. You can send Jim a Text even though he objects stating, "he's just an employee" and doesn't want to be bothered on his personal phone. He used his personal phone to contact me by Text, but acts offended, even if I send him one or two messages a week during Macy's posted business hours.
Consumer Affairs rates Macy's Jewelry Department at One (1) Star for many of the same problems I'm experiencing and worse. Rather than filing complaints (everywhere online) I would rather that someone in management, motivate Jim or a professional Jeweler to complete the job, and mail my ring Insured to my daughter's address without further delays.
Desired outcome: Complete my ring repair professionally and immediately, and mail my ring insured at $1,000 minimum to my daughter's address in Newhall California within one week of receiving this message.
Wrong Items Delivered
I ordered 2 sweat shirts, but the package I got contained 2 towels. I called Macy's customer service and was told to keep the towels and the customer rep would reorder the sweat shirts and I would not have to pay double. I asked for an e-mail confirmation. I did not get a confirmation. The next day I called customer service and was told there was no reorder, but this rep would reorder. I would have to wait 24 hours to get a confirmation. No confirmation. The 3rd day I called and got a different story. This time they were going to issue a gift card. They cannot credit my Macy's card. When the gift card is processed, Carl will use it to place the reorder. When this is done, he will call me to let me know the "process" went through! Fourth day, a different story. This time I am going to be mailed a gift card which may take a few days to reach me. Can I believe this story? It is very apparent that customer service can only answer questions if the answer is in the computer. If it is not, they cannot help, so they make up a story to get rid of you.
Desired outcome: An apology from Mr. Gannette for the way his customer service people treat Macy's customers so disrespectfully.
My sectional
This is the second sectional I’ve had in the last 2 years. They replaced one because of wearing the leather does not hold up. Now this one is doing the same. I purchased a warranty for pet damage an wear an tear leather rubs off like it’s 10 years old. You tell me to call no more worries an they send a guy out which came out before an my recliner that I purchased the same day they where replacing my sectional an that broke they send him out to tell me how do I know you have pet protection well look up my account before sending him again an then he tells me that it’s only a year old no [censored].now I’m looking to talk to the head manager or someone that is going to resolve this matter. As the first time I had to go back to the store an talk to the sales lady Becky to see what they where going to do. Had no problems with her she looked up my account and put in for a new sectional and it was delivered within a week or 2 I do believe now I need this matter resolved immediately.

Kitchen table and chairs
I ordered a kitchen table and chairs set on 8-6-22. I was told it was in stock and would be delivered on 9-6-22. THat day came and went and nothing. I called my sales associate and he told me it would be back out for delivery in a week. Nothing. I called the warehouse they said there was a mishap as they told me it was dleivered on 9-6-22. It wasnt so it took 4 weekes to get it out of the system as delivered and then re-deliver it. Today it was supposed to be delivered and I got a text that said it was on the way. Then I received a phone call saying they couldnt deliver it today because there was no hardware included. This is really bad as I thought Macys was a really outstanding company and I am re-thinking my thoughts. I tried to call corporate and VM and no reply. Unbelievable. Very Upsetting

I am complaining about customer service
I spoke with customer service on 10/1/2022 @ around 1:25 PM regarding changing a size from a small to a medium size. The customer service person stated that he wasn't able to change the size, but he was able to cancel the order which was confusing to me. But I was very excited about it. I also mentioned that I had $10 in Star Money that I used on that order and if he was able to apply it to the new order and he said yes. My original order was $55.35 order#[protected] and he said he was able to apply the $10 star money to the order and my final order would be $45.35. If this wasn't true, why he felt like he had to lie to me. I could have waited for the order to arrive and return it like I always do. I am a very loyal customer, and I don't feel like I should have been treated like a 98. I would like to get some type of satisfaction from this blatant lie. Please and thank you. Rosetta Evans
