poor making quality and poor staff - karama, dubai

I visited Karama Branch and exchanged a pair of 22kt gold ear rings (AED 497-Inv. no. DKM [protected]) and then also bought a 22kt Bracelet (AED 1, 150-Inv. no. DKM [protected]).
I didn't get much attention from the staff, probably because I was not wearing much make-ups, jewelries and shiny cloths on me!
The staff named "Siva Krishna" seemed to be forcefully assisting me like a robot. He just kept quiet, he just took out the ear rings I asked him to show me then he put them back. As I asked some questions while I was trying on a few ear rings, I realized he was looking away and I had to repeat my question again. He didn't say any more than yes and no. I asked him if he has a small mirror so that I can look at the ear rings on my ears. He pointed me the mirror on the wall behind me with his chin.
Maybe it was because I was looking for only small and cheap gold rather than trying to buy kilos of golds and diamonds!
And best of all my experience? - "The bracelet broke 2 days while I was just sitting on the couch and watching movie..."

I have purchased couple ring set with diamonds. The design had half of white gold and half of yellow gold in it. After within a year of use, the white gold portion of the ring turned yellow. When questioned the Malabar gold, they said its common for the white gold to turn to yellow gold in some time. Thats the crappy explanation i got. But the twist is the inside part of the ring is still white color. Then according to them it should have turned to yellow. If it has not turned yellow, then is it white gold or some cheap metal like silver ? I feel cheated, no one in the shop told me this during the purchase. And now when i ask for a exchange they are charging the making charges and other charges. Is this how they treat their customers who have issues? When go to buy they will be very nice and respectful. But once you purchase and has any issues with the ornament, they will show their real face. Bloody cheaters.

Last year I bought gold bangles from as rao nagar hyderabad branch the design was beautiful so we again ordered the same bangles 2 months back. But this time they made us to drink our own boiling blood. Firstly they took one month to make bangles, at time of delivery we found that the design is different. When we complained they again took another 15 days. Even after 15 days they dint fulfilled their promise. This time design was same but bangles shape was different and polish too. After requesting at the first time they still gave different polish to the bangles. When we started shouting at the store, the manager asked us to come today for polish n it will take 15-20 minutes to change polish of the bangles. When we went today they asked us to pick up the bangles after 2 days. When we said that we will sue them in consumer forum then they agreed to give the bangles by 7pm today. I'm definitely going to publish their pathetic service in deccan chronicle.

I have given an order for bangles of 32 grams. I told them to modify some things . As told all the modifications are printed in the order form. The bangles I ordered were deliverd 10 days late . The real problem is there were no modifications done and bangles done at the 42 grams. Even though i was given my money back was really disappointed. I have really waited for those bangles for 45 days and finally when i got to see them they are not the bangles I expected..

I purchased a diamond ring on 23rd Nov 2015(Friday) and did not get the certification. They promised to send me within 2 days(Monday) but didn't contact me even. When I called after 3 weeks, they said they cud not find it and wanted the ring back And behaved very badly as well. Even dropped the call when I said I will complain against the branch. Unprofessional behaviour.

Hi Sir/Madam I visited with my Mom to the Malabar Gold, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu branch on 8/11/2015. We entered the shop and waited for a very long time to get a seat. It was crowded. So its understandable. Then we got a seat. Nobody approached us for more than half an hour. We were getting restless asked a sales man nearby, whether anyone will come for us. He said, wait some one will definitely come for us. So we waited. We must have asked every salesman so many times, all he did was assuring he will send some one.. We could see some salesmen attending people who came after us. A salesman started to attend people standing behind us. I was so annoyed, asked him, can't u see us.. It's been more than one and a half hours, we sat there like we had no other job to do. He said, if you come to a jewelry, it will be like this. Come on. Don't they have any value for people's time? I am very unhappy with their customer service. We will never be stepping into their shop again because they treated us like we are not welcome there. poor quality gold chain
I had purchased 18K gold chain for a light weight diamond pendant from Malabar Gold showroom in Gold Souk Mall Gurgaon on 30/08/2014. The weight of the chain was 3.67 grams. At the time of purchase the salesperson had mentioned that since the chain is in 18k gold, it will be more reliable and last long. After wearing it on few occasions I noticed that the chain had started breaking from 2 points. When I went to Malabar Gold Showroom with my problem on 15/03/2015, they clearly told that they cannot do anything about it. The repair of the chain was not possible as it is machine made and will bend on repairing. All they could offer was to exchange the chain for a new on after cutting making charges or take a cash back at the current rate which was Rs190 per gram less from the purchase rate. On enquiring that for a poor quality product why should the consumer suffer, the salesperson as well as store manager said that it is the company policy. Only for exchanges within 7 days of purchase they do not cut making charges but the price of gold is taken on as of date. Their own salesperson now said that such 18k chains break easily...Then why the hell sell such product !. Also in 7 days gold ornament may be used once or twice and the consumer will never come to know about any defect. This is an unethical practice by the company that they are harassing and cheating consumers for poor quality ornaments. How can the chain start to break only after few uses? I tried to reason with them that cutting making charges makes no sense when the product itself is bad. But they would not listen. On the contrary the salesboy started saying that we broke the chain ourselves. This is pure harassment and cheating by Malabar Gold. As the situation was not resolving, I had to agree for cash return and suffer a loss of Rs 3200 from the original bill aw well as mental harassment. My sincere request to create awareness about such unethical practice of selling poor quality ornament by Malabar Gold and then earning money out of it.
cheating in dubai center malabar store
We visited Malabar Gold was and Diamonds store in Diera city centre on Dec 6th, 2014 on our way to India from US. The Sales person told us that there is 45% sale on uncut diamond necklaces due to dubai government promotion. We were charged 41, 245 dirhams for the necklace. We were on our way to India and asked specifically for price difference for the same item in India. The sales person stated that there will be atleast 10-15% difference in price.We went to Malabar store in Hyderabad to get matching earrings and to our horror we found that the same necklace with more gold weight was more than 25% cheaper in Malabar India store. We were clearly cheated in the name of Dubai UAE Government promotion by the store. We seek justice and attention from Malabar management into this.

I ordered a gold finger ring from Malabar Gold on 28/9/2014 order no 1415/0000305 to be made as per order. The due date of it was 30/10/2014. Have been contacting their Nasik Showroom since then but no one is ready to respond properly and they dont know when the order will be done. I paid an advance on Rs 6500/- against this order

We went to buy gold bangles on malabar gold last month (18-Sep-2013) and booked the order. While placing the order we had been assured by Mr.Shafi that while calculating the final amount once the bangles are ready we would be charged on the order booking date of gold charges for metal rate and making charges. Today when we went to buy the bangles first of all the weight of finished good was increased by 3.9 gm and the executive said that now this 3.9 gm and making charges will be charged on today's (24-Oct-2013) date . Further arguing with them they agreed to consider gold price for 18-Sep-2013 yet making charges were calculated on 24-Oct-2013 gold rate. Their executive said this is thier policy. I would like to complain about the false promises made during placing an order and then cheating us by charging extra money. Mr. Shafi misguided us by giving wrong information of policies while placing the order. I am highly dissatisfied, unhappy and cheated with the way they deal with thier customer.
