Received in 02 january a bill from this company that I don't know.
Seams a company that took over necc telecom but no explanations
No legal information that the company exist, no postal address no website address
And a phone number that cutting line every time you choose customer relations.
The bill was charges with fees that I don't recognize and the due date was 2 so received too late.
Tried many time to contact them but is not working.
What to do?

I am customer of necc telecom and I just received a invoice (mail) from maplecall inc which I have o knowledge with a long distance bill from nov 11th 2018 till jan 5th 2019 with so many extra chages and fees that I never paid with necc telecom. I last time paid to necc via my credit card on dec 8th which was about $3 only. Now I see that maple call invoice includes so many fees and charges on top of called minutes charges, like 4.99 int'l discount fee, 2.99 for operational charges, 3.15 for carrier cost recovery etc.
As other users complained, they do not have any address and only one phone number that no one attends. I am going to call my credit card customer service to complaint as they might have taken the money from my card already.
I hope I can cancel this service and take some action against such fraud long distance company that sends extra bills to customers. There is no website address and the necc website is not available now.

random bill
I received a bill for $9.01 even though I cancelled my services with necc three months ago. I have no association with necc or maple call and hence, there is no way I would pay this bill.
Is there anybody here that can provide the best course of action on how to report this fraudulent bill? What is the process? How can we ensure random companies do not take advantage of peoples information to try to make $?
If someone could provide a process, it would help everyone here.

I have never been a customer of maple call in. Just received an invoice from them for $16.00, somebody called me during last week and told that necc which was my long distance company went out of business and they are taking over their customers and I clearly stated "no". The charges on the invoice are ridiculous, they don't pick up phone and don't have a website... Invoice arrived on 02/02/2019, should be paid on 02/02/2019, no hst number listed and taxes are charged... Thinking to report to cra and better business buro

Hi, I also received a new invoice [protected] dated March 9, 2018 for $3.38 after I called and canceled my account with Maple Call on March 5 when I spoke to Camille. They assured me that my balance is $0.00 and my account is canceled, yet I got another invoice. When I tried to call them again several times, the message keeps saying to call another day. This is ridiculous and I don't intend to pay this bill as I have never used their service. Please advise. Thanks,

They have a web site now (a pretty basic one). I left a message there asking to delete my account and got a confirmation today that my account was deleted. Before then I got two invoices: on Feb 2 and on March 5.

I got the same today. I am going to call the anti-fraud centre for updates on my case.
It seems that their customer service is answering calls only after 2:00 p.m. I called at 2: 30 and it worked.
I didn't wait long, most 15 min but I talked with a very polite guy( I was also very polite)
I explained that we are not anymore Telecom's customers and must be a misunderstanding. He said we don't have to pay their invoice and our names are deleted from their customer list. I couldn't t ask for more ! Call them after 2-3 p.m and be polite

Ok folks, and sorry if you feel I'm taking too much of your time. As i mentioned above, to cancel the credit card is not the solution. And to call them is not either, no matter what they will say/do. They have already charged our credit cards and made some $$ off us who have not even used the service. I just called the credit card department and explained; I asked to make a STOP PAYMENT for this specific fraud inc. Unfortunately they're closed tonight, but I will call them tomorrow. And, I was told that once they verify the case and find out that it is fraud, they will take care of charges.This is better choice than cancel, but it's your decision. Again, good luck to all.

In February 2019 BBB received an influx of complaints and inquiries regarding this business.
Consumers have advised they received an invoice from the company but do not recall entering into a contract with them for services. Many have attempted to contact Maple Call Inc for assistance, however when faced with extensive wait times, the consumers ended the call without speaking to a representative.
BBB contacted the business on February 4 2019 regarding the quantity of inquiries received and requested they work to resolve the underlying reasons for the complaints.
We are currently waiting on a response.
I am having same issue as other ppl. I want to cancel this ridiculous service. But I dont know how as when I call it just have voice message to call back next day. I just got my invice today Feb 14 and it is due today. Also they are charging fees that were not part of initial agreement with previous provider. I, like many, was a client of the company blue tone. a couple of months ago I noticed that the bills for international negotiations did not come. This morning I called and got all the answers. it's not scam! this is a new company that has taken customers from small companies that have closed. why not ask the data? They enter their profile by phone number and they all know. I have on my account the date for payment is February 10th. I called necc at 1 866 300 2610 and their message system says that "we are out of business, we are sorry" but they don't mention anything about being bought by maple call inc.
My invoice is for international discount fee of $4.99 and for operational charge of $2.99.
Before any payments request maple call inc. Should of informed us about the take over. Also, we need to see the new contract and the additional charges we didn't pay with necc.

I totally agree with the previous comment about the lack of communication given their customers regarding the take over of NECC by Maple Call Inc. There definitely should have been a new service agreement as I don't agree with the charges on my current billing. Secondly, I did not authorize this company to automatically bill my charges to the credit card previously authorized to NECC Inc. I look forward to some kind of communication by this company before I will go forward to paying any charges.

I made one call to poland. The bill was received at the end of january 28 2019. The bill is showing me that 16 calls have been made to poland. This is in fact not true. When I call the customer service number, I get an automated recording to call back later due to high volume of calls. I have never received any information about a company change. I definitely will be escalating this dispute.

Contacted Mastercard and will make sure these crooks do not charge me. If they do I am disputing it and complaining to every consumer-protection agency I can think of. This is a Third-world way of doing business - automated messages, additional fees etc. Boooooo!

I have the same issue. Never signed with Maple Call Inc., paid all my bills to NECC, but Maple Call thinks that I owe them $1.34 for calls, $4.00 call discount i have no clue what for, and $8 service charges with no explanation. I tried to call again, no success.

On january 31, 2019 I received a bill from a strange company: maple call inc. For long distance calls. I have been a client of necc telecom for a number of years. I have always received email notifications about the due bill. Recently there was none so in the beginning of january (probably) I checked on line (it was still possible) and had $0.00 balance. Then an invoice from a company that doesn't have a website/ address. There was no notice from the necc, no letter from that maple call inc. As other customers of necc, I couldn't get through the long lineup when calling their customer service. Today there is a message "calling is temporarily unavailable". I am not going to pay for "other fees" that I have never agreed to; there were no other charges with necc. The invoice date is jan. 9 and I just got it : jan. 31. Due date: feb. 2! What kind of a company does this? I will be writing to that po box address to immediately close my account, however, I do not want to pay for extra charges and any late fees.

I have a same issue with Maple call they keep sending me invoices as i never used their services i use to use NECC, infact they took my credit card information from NECC i have cancel my card.Every month invoice comes to my place and they keep adding the fees.($ 15) When i called them they said i have to pay but i never use it ! not only that the person on phone started laughing when i told i am not using maple call. I do not need any invoice more now it's very annoying.
Well - it is even worse for me. I paid my bill to MapleCall at my bank in February (and have a proof of it), yet they send me a bill indicating that I still have an outstanding balance. They can not be reached via phone (the message states: "due to large volume of calls and long waiting period, please calls us back at another time." I am yet to reach a person at this c/o. I guess I will have to do same as someone already suggested - write to them and include a copy of paid invoice.

I received no notification from either companies saying NECC is out of business and Maple Call inc. is taking over. So I will not pay a cent to Maple Call Inc. as they have no authorization to communicate with me of invoice me.
Maple Call responded to my message (request to forget about me) on their meager web site saying that they removed my account. We'll see early next month if that was true.
I have same problem, they send me 2 invoices with Other Fees much bigger then my long distance calling time and double price per minute to my destination.
I was able to contact them on live chat and lower prices to much previous provider (NECC) but recovery fee still is charge, $4.99. They even charge for uncomplicated calls.

It seems they act like robots. I sent them a cease and desist letter, filed complaints with CRTC and Anti-fraud centre, and yet they dared to send me a second invoice a month after. Naturally, they are not getting anything from me. I have not used ANY long distant services of this kind for the last 2 years.

Received a bill from them on Feb.14 and it was due on Feb. 14. Top right hand corner said "no payment required". Have no idea who they are, used Pulse Telecom for years. Charged 10.98 "other fees". Have been unsuccessful in trying to talk to someone. Called Pulse Telecom - message says company no longer exists. Maple message says they are overwhelmed with calls and no chance to leave a message. No email address, couldn't find a website. No explanation, just an invoice. What kind of business is that?

It's amazing reading the comments. My mom and I are having similar issues. When the company took over NECC we got a phone bill and paid it on time. The next month we received a bill stating we didn't pay the last month fees and late fees were added on. Spoke to 2 customer representatives who were rude and unhelpful - said we were liars and that the first bill wasn't paid - even though we gave them transaction information! We then paid the new monthly charges but refused to pay the charges we had already paid the month prior. My mom got very upset about all of it and tried to call and clarify again - and the customer service agent was so rude, he made her cry and she got off the phone and just paid the already paid bill a SECOND time so she wouldn't be harassed anymore.
She then called a few days later to cancel the services. I told her that this wasn't right and we will be filing many complaints to get our money back! Then a few days ago we got ANOTHER bill - despite cancelling services and paying the first bill TWO times. I will try to contact customer services with a letter and detailed statements and proof of payment but if they do not refund the money my mom paid and actually cancel there services - I will contact BBB.
I am still pending to sort this out however stopped paying bills as something is fishy, stopped using the service mid Feb, i am still charged for calls I couldn't have possibly do as the time of the calls are not right, moreover the call records contain duplicates ...
I will join the club. Since beginning of July last year I'm not with NECC anymore. I do all my calls with my cell phone
and that is a different company. On March the 8 th I got a bill from Maple call. They billed me for one month 9.00 $
and than again for a second month another 9.00 $. With NECC I never paid more than 4 to 7 Dollars per month. Also with NECC my bill showed me all the details and numbers that I called.

I have the same concern. I received the first bill at the beginning of February. Called Maple and stayed on line for over 55 minutes. I finally got to talk to one of their reps. I was told to ignore the bill. I was told that they are trying to sort things out and I should not be getting any other bills. Guess what? boom I got a bill yesterday, March 5 and it was due yesterday. What shall we do?

I am in the same situation, former NECC customer taken over by Maple Call. We have received a call mid-Jan in this regard, however I have seen no contract no terms and conditions, no current rates. I believe it is not much to ask to have visibility to my rates and to be correctly billed. It is the second time I have to complain about such take over (NECC took over Pulse Telecom company). Now, I have received a suspicious bill for apparently Dec01-Jan15 services, however charges are 3 times higher than expected (defying the simple math by adding my individual call charges attached to the bill). It is a shame that regular people like me are working a lifetime to be a good citizen, to pay taxes and keep a good credit score and now I am concerned my account will reach collection, because there is no way I am going to pay such bogus bills.

We did not use necc for 3 years and disconnect our phone, but still received invoice for january 2019 from maple call inc.
Looks like maple call inc. Took necc inc. Database of clients and started to send invoices charging recurring service fees to the people, who are not even signed up for it.
They will charge you fees every month, no matter if you do not even use there service, if you do not report the police.

I was client of necc long distance company without a warning I was transferred to maple call inc. I received high bill to be paid by feb 2/2019 received today. I am unable to pay the bill through on line and royal bank because they dont exists on payee list. They not registered by royal bank. For one our I am trying to call but seems to be impossible.

I have been for longtime a client of necc telecom. I was using their long distances services. I found out by chance, only a few days ago, that necc telecom has been bough by maple call. I called maple call and asked about their rates and services. They said that the necc telecom rates are kept at the same level. I received yesterday (january 30, 2019) an invoice for 2 months in the amount of $107.13. I have a previous bad experience with necc since they billed me for calls I have never used. I understand that the invoice is for 2 months. However I never paid so much. There are other fees in the amount of $18.16, that I have never paid before. The invoice states that it has to be paid until february 2, 2019 otherwise late charges may apply. I am trying since yesterday to contact them. It seems almost impossible, I am currently the 49th in line every time I am calling them. Right now I am awaiting for 45minutes and I am the customer 1 (from 49 at the beginning). The customer service representative answered me said hello and hang up on me. It looks that is almost impossible to talk to them. I tried to locate them on the internet but I cannot find any site. It looks that it is a phantom company.
I have the account number [protected], and the invoice number [protected] (cannot attached since pdf not accepted as format). I cannot see in their invoice their gst number, usually all the invoices have. I would like to know what my recourse against them is. It looks that I have no other choice then to pay without asking questions, otherwise I will be penalized with late fees. Another question, how I will unsubscribe from them. There is only a po address.

It started with me back in January 2019. They called me and said BlueTone is out of business and that I was their client. I told them clearly that I was not their client since I didn't even know who they were nd never signed a contract with them and I would not talk to them or anyone unless BlueTone informs me they were out. That didn't stop them and they started sending me invoices and email. I emailed them back with a request to cancel, then I successfully got though on the support phone and told them again. nothing helps.
Recently, 2 days ago on Oct 12 2019, a MapleCall employee called me to remind of the "outstanding balance", I told her again and she suggested to switch me to their cancellation department, where a guys with an Indian accent was making circles around me, saying that if I am not their customer he cannot cancel my account and 30 seconds later, to my "then stop sending me your bills", he would respond "if you are receiving our bills then you are our customer" and so on.
So, looks like numerous complaints to BBB and CCTS from other customers didn't stop these scammers from following their harassment business practices.

SCAMMERS! They just print invoices with fees only, even if you didn't make any long-distance calls and mail them out to landline numbers from a P.O Box address. Their toll-free number doesn't work. seems like lots of people got absurdal bills for maple call. my charges are 22 dollars plus tax for the phone calls i have made but bill is 100% bigger with additional charges and double taxes, one called HST and another harmonized tax?

In February I got an invoice from maple call with no idea what it was. I called the number and they said that they are taking over necc services. I paid the invoice and they fixed some extra charges. Now I got another email with the same charges. Tried calling but the call doesn't get through. How can I disconnect the service.
If you have not yourself contacted Maple Call and agreed on their terms and conditions, then you should call them at +[protected] and ask them to take you out of their data base.
I took me multiple attempts to go through, but eventually I was put on a queue and talked to a representative. The representative removed the previous charges. Not sure if they actually took me out of their data base or not, but at least I won't be getting further invoices.
I am canceling Maple Call long distance service
The same scammers, Maple Call, they sent me a $82 bill for 45 days of service with them. Usualy I had like $10-$15/month with bluetone... I never sign any contract for long distance calls with anyone, but bluetone. Does anyone knows a layer to sue this company!?
