Manager John tried stealing from me
The manager John told me I need rotors and brake pads & rear struts but that's impossible because I just got all done at my mechanic about 7 months ago - 6/9/21- and since then I only put 6, 484 miles on my vehicle. On 11/11/21 went to Mavis Tire at 10190 highway 142 north, covington Ga. to purchase 2 tires for my 2010 ford F150. Lee Searcy signed me in and was the person who drove my truck into the bay for the tire replacements. As he pulled into the bay, he did not have the bay door high enough causing the door to hit my ladder rack on the camper top, ripping the ladder rack from the top of the camper which is made of aluminum, causing two large holes in top of the camper. Zack Fisher, the manager notified me of the damage, he said not to worry, all I would have to do is take my truck to Leer Camper Top, the make of the camper top on my truck, have it checked to see if it could be repaired, if not then replaced. I took it to Leer, they said it could not be repaired, would have to be replaced, cost for the same type of camper top would cost $3, 195.53 with installation included. Leer sent the estimate to Mavis, about a week later I contacted Zack, he said the estimate was approved by their people, that I would receive a call from the district manager John Zaucha, he never called me. I contacted Zack on the 4th of Dec., he said the D.M. would call within 48 hrs., no one called, I called back on Dec. 9th to Zack, was told I would get a call from D.M. within the hour, no one called. I called back at Mavis after a hour to speak with Zack or Lee, was told neither were avaliable, busy, three hours later, 6:40 pm., still no one has called. This is not right, we are going on a month now and nothing is being done.
Desired outcome: Replace my camper top
Finally received a check after 3 months of calls after calls for the damaged camper top that had to be replaced. You have to be persistent my case went over the person in charge of my claim, all the way to the president of Mavis.
Still no results on camper top as of 1/16/22, keep being told the check is on the way.

I had my oil changed at the Palm Harbor FL location on November 22. I have a Nissan Frontier which I have taken to that location often. They performed a standard oil change with bulk oil. I was charged $55.85, and when I questioned the price and offered a price matching competitor coupon I was told their is an oil shortage causing the prices in the market to have gone sky high. I checked with 2 other major competitors Tires Pus and Tire Kingdom and their prices were $27 & $30 which is what I anticipated paying. They both told me they hadn't heard of anything of the sort. I spoke with the Manager Chris this morning and he stated they had 2 different oil changes. A regular standard and a Synthetic starting at $39. I though wasn't charged for the low one I received. I was charged for the full Synthetic. On top of all this i wasn't given a free tire rotation as promised and they lied on the invoice and said I declined a free inspection. I was never offered one! I was also listed as a sensitive customer on the the invoice. I submitted an email immediately to the location which wasn't returned. I then received an email the next day saying they were sorry for me missing my appointment and would I like to reschedule. The email would keep me from receiving a review email I could post. The manager was nice but just basically ignored anything I said, and didn't even offer to return the difference in oil change prices or apologize for not doing any of the other items involved. Nov of last year, we went to Mavis for tires and brakes. We were sold 4 tires and paid for warranties, etc. The tires were 60, 000 mile tires, and a year later we had a problem with the right front tire (mind you we had free tire rotations for the life of these tires, and husband took them for rotation every 6-10, 000 miles, never did we get a receipt that they were rotated. Now today we had a tread problem with the front right tire, and they are accusing us of having switched out our tires. (Reality is we did not.) They installed lower grade tires and a different brand than we paid for, While my husband waited for the car, son picked him up. They were told our receipts were in the glove box, now they are no longer there (We suspect they destroyed them, so they could accuse us of not bring in for rotations, and switching the tires) We are elderly and I assure you these are the tires THEY put on - they installed lesser tires than we bought. Now they will not honor our warranty and replace the defective tire. Not only that, they are saying our ABS sensor switch is bad cause the tire caused it to damage the wire on the right front. TO make matters worse, the guy kept arguing with my husband. My husband has cancer, and tires easy, and just brought our car back home. Another thing I have been angry about is back last year when they did our brakes and tires, the Mechanic was vigorously pushing in n out my brake assist took that was attached to our car. We had to have it removed cause they damaged it -- and they wouldn't acknowledge what they did and we were looking right at them from the waiting room. It was the only means by which I could drive my own car due to disabilities. I've gone a year without being able to drive my car and they wouldn't take responsibility. My husband at the time was going through treatments, and just didn't want to make argument, so we left. I have no proof either whether or not they actually replaced our brakes. I no longer can trust these guys. Today, the men we dealt with were not there last year, so we could not confront them. But now we no longer have our receipts, they got in our glove box and removed them and probably destroyed them. Thing here is, their records didn't match our records, now we can't prove it, but the tires on our car are not the ones in their system records. It is literally mind blowing. We need the part fixed, and new tires all the way around, and we haven't even gone 60, 000 miles, cause we both don't travel much anymore.
They would not honor what we paid for. We paid for all the warranties that should of covered defective tires, or even tires for whatever reason get damaged before 60, 000 miles. Angry and can't trust them any longer.
Desired outcome: Want the money to replace brake assist piece, and 4 new tires, and the damaged part fixed, but at a trusted location - Not the same place.
Unprofessional- terrible customer service
I called Mavis tire last week. She told me the earliest they could get me in to get my tires rotated is this week. So I made the appointment for 12pm today. I get here and the guy tells me it's going to be a while. I said I have an appointment and he said it didn't matter. He has people here that had 8am appointments that are still here. I said what's the point of having an appointment if you can't get me in? I have been here for an hour and 15 minutes (from my appointment time) and I just asked him how much longer and he said at least another hour!
This is horrific customer service. His attitude is terrible. If he said "we had someone call in sick so we only have 1 person", that would be ok. Because I understand stuff happens. But he is basically saying this is normal protocol in the automotive industry. An appointment does not mean they get you in within even 2 hours or more of your appointment time!
The process is clearly broken!

This location is poorly managed, and they were very slow (more than an hour to replace tires on a car. My daughter had a blowout and has been driving around with her donut tire. I ordered tires from them and the website told me they were ready the same day (Sunday). I went to the store and they told me they did not have the tires and they gave me an appointment for Wednesday. When I showed up on Wednesday, I waited a little while and then they told me that they could not do it Wednesday, and gave me an appointment for Thursday (their late day). After waiting 2 hours on Thursday, they told me they could not do it Thursday and gave me an appointment for Sunday. I showed up on Sunday and waited 1.5 hours. I was watching them work on other cars, and it took over an hour to replace the tires on a car, while the manager spent a lot of time eating and watching the football game. I finally decided to call Mavis Customer Service to see if I could take the tires somewhere else to get them put on my car. They went to get my tires and they could not find them. I had contacted Mavis customer Service and they promised me a $80. voucher because they could not replace my tires on Wednesday. Then I was promised another $130. voucher by the Butler store because they could not do it on Thursday. I contacted Mavis corporate, and they told me that they could order my tires for a different location, but they would not honor the vouchers I was promised.

The Manager Sonny at Mavis in Watertown NY was very unprofessional.
They gave me a different price after my vehicle was done as to what they quoated me over the phone was $519 + change . I paid $589. That's a big difference. So I started asking questions because I'm a single mom with a tight budget.
Sonny actually started arguing with me because my voice changed and he accused me of yelling and starting getting very sarcastic and rude. He wouldn't listen to anything I had to say. I have bad anxiety sooo my voice does fluctuate plus I'm almost deaf in one ear and he just went of because he didn't like the tone of my voice. After he accused me of getting loud I got very upset. Paid my bill and left. I did apologize to one coworker that was cashing me out and told him I'm sorry if I came off wrong, I just had questions. But Sonny - He got no apology!
FYI:While I was waiting on my vehicle a customer came in to talk to Sonny. She said she needed this this and this done. And I've already texted you what I have for $, hook me up!.🤨

They crash my truck
Last Saturday 11-14-2021 took my truck for a brake check and drop it off there. 40 min later they called me from the shop saying that the mechanic hit a pole and damaged my truck. Took it to the dealer because I'm still financing it and in order to be fixed is going to cost me more than 4000 dollars. They asked me to take more quotes so I did. I'm still waiting from a response and not able to use it. Now my truck is going to loose value since is going to have an accident on it. Not a call from them yet to see how they are going to pay for this…think I'm going to have to sue them in order to fix it and get a compensation for the damages…

Sandy Smith. Trucks been in 4 times this year for tire wear issues. Tires got so bad I finally complained and the 5th time in guys said my struts were bad. That's why tires are wearing. Why didn't they tell me months ago and my 1000$ set of tires would not be in the condition they are. Gm said sorry can't help you. No discount on parts labor nothing. My tires are so chopped up that they roar going down the road. You guys are the professionals not me. Please work with me to get my truck back to normal

While taking my usual trip to the jersey shore this summer i was on rt 73 around maple shade new jersey driving my 325 bmw when i discovered i had a flat tire so i pulled off and happened to have a small compressor to put air in tire and went to mavis tires across the road on rt73. The guy said he could repair the tire for me when i called him on phone but when he took it into the bay and onto the lift he called me and said the tire had to be replaced. I said i would meet him at the car i wanted to see what he was talking about. These tires were michelns and i put less than 5, 000 miles a year on this car .So i asked him if the hole was on the side of tire and he said yes so when i asked to meet him to show me he has his mechanic show me a scuff ring on side of tire. And i said where is the hole and he just looked at me so i spun the tire and found a screw in the middle bottom of tire and pulled it out and you could hear the air hissing and i said here is the problem and all i need is a plug and he refused to do it because of a safety because of scuff mark on side .What a bunch of bs i will never use this company for tires if this is how you run your bussiness taking advantage and lying to customers about the real issues. You should really be fined or put out of bussiness for practices like this.
New tires
I ordered tires online with front end alignment and inspection.
They gave mean appointment and said tires would be shipped to store.
A week later I arrived for my appointment was told they had the tires . I sat down in the waiting room and was waiting for them to get to my truck. Two and a half hours later he tells me they don't have my tires !
On top of that thetoresi ordered were not the ones being shipped, I ordered P265-70- R18 Fusion SUV Teuck tires.he tells me there getting Nexium ? Brand tires.
I td them that was wrong so.
They offered me other tires at a much higher rate over $100 Dollars per tire with no discount or price match.
I think at the least I should have been offered an equivalent tire at the price I was quoted.
Now I have no tires no state inspection and
Am left with the wrong ones coming to the store.
I will never do business with this company again and will ne sure to tell everyone I know to stay away..

Tire mounting/balancing
On Wednesday, November 10, I bought 4 continental cross contacts. Mount, balance and wheel alignment for my 2019 Acura MDX. This morning, (Sunday) I noticed paint ground off the inside if my rear wheel near where the new wheel weights were. I checked the other 3 wheels and found the same on each. Picture attached. I called Mavis 699 dutchess tnpk. Poughkeepsie and told the person what I found. The answer I got was "The wheel weights won't stick to a sticky surface, or paint. They're not ground, sir, just sanded. They need to be sanded or they won't stick ". All 4 wheels look horrible. I've had tires installed on several vehicles over the years and never saw such careless work. He did say to bring it in and someone could touch the wheels up, but now, I wouldn't let them put air in my tires. I can't believe someone could do that to a customer's vehicle and call it "good".
Coil packs/ took 1300.00 not fixed
November 13, 2021 5:15pm Little Egg Harbor -Mavis
Went to local mechanic and scanned my truck and told me it was a misfire
and he could not fix my truck for several days too busy. I went to auto zone and purchased a coil pack to fix myself. Right next door to auto zone is Mavis so I stopped in the see if they could fix my truck. I spoke with Zack at Mavis I explained to him what is going and what the previous mechanic told me. I did
ask if they fix more than tires and brakes Zack stated yes we just do not fix electronics. He said we only install our own parts that they do not just replace one coil pack they had to replace all 8 coil packs. Him as a professional I took his word. He also suggested to replace all spark plugs. I agreed to let him do it since he was the professional. I am a contractor not a auto mechanic. After a few hours Zack called and suggested to put new wires on the engine. I also agreed to that. After backing the truck up out of the garage bay the truck was the same as I brought it to them nothing was resolved. Then Zack insulted me and asked me for the keys until I paid him, thinking I could drive off with out paying. I went into the office to have a discussion because I was very un happy with the service. Zack told me the service I asked for was done. I am not the professional they are and they should have ran there own diagnostics on the truck to confirm that was the issue. Not take the word from some other mechanic or myself who is contractor. He admitted he did not run his own diagnostics, and I also asked him if the staff working on my truck were certified. He would not give me answer, at that time I told him I will contact my attorney. I did ask Zack if everything was recorded by voice and video he stated yes. I paid the $1300.00 for a truck that I would not drive over 35 mph.
Now I need to take it elsewhere to get repaired.

Tires and break
On November 11 I brought my Toyota Highlander to the Mavis in Mahwah New Jersey. I received absolutely terrible service and was given a call from the regional manager Louis Blanco. He was very kind and told me that when I brought Lexus (other car) into the mavis near my house in Woburn Massachusetts I would get my tires at cost. On Saturday morning I called the woman location and I spoke to Stephanie and she was extremely kind and assured me that I would leave today with tires. I dropped my car off before 1. I called the Woburn location before I left my House around 4 PM to be put on hold for over 10 minutes so I decided to head down and pick up my car considering they close at 5 o'clock. Well five minutes at five my car was not taken into the garage to have the tires done! This is literally the worst company I have ever dealt with! BOTH locations! I would never have even given them another chance had Luis not been so kind and promising on the phone. This chain needs to shut down.

I made an 8 am appointment, I always call for appointments, have used Mavis for quite a while. I got there at 8 for four new tires and an oil change. I ask how long they said couple hours. I said I'll be back in little bit. I came back an hour and a half later and the truck is still in same spot in the parking lot. I ask what happened and was told I'm next after oil change. Scheduled work should be worked on close to appointment time. What good is an appointment? I think the person at desk and the mechanic had too many personal things going on. I will spread the word and I wont be back.

I had my car (Blk. 2003 Mitsubishi Spyder) towned to Mavis Tire and was told by (Jerry, the Manager) the engine was blown and not worth fixing.
He told me that he knew of A place that buys Junk Cars and that they would give me $300.00 and tow it away.
That never worked out. Then MJ, (Mavis employee) had a friend that wanted to buy it for $200.00 The car sat for 3 weeks and that never materialized either.
11/04/2021: I called Jerry and told him I was having my Tow Truck come and get the car and I was selling to a Scrap Yard for $200.00. When the tow truck got there my car wasn't there anymore. JERRY NEVER CONTACTED MYSELF OR THE OWNER OF THE VEHICLE 1 TIME, TO LET US KNOW THAT THE CAR WAS NOT THERE!
In fact when I called furious Jerry told me to come in on that Saturday and he would give me the $200.00 originally agreed upon just so he wouldn't loose his job.
I got there with the owner of the car (my husband). Jerry was Extremely Rude to both of us yelling and screaming. He told us to get off of the Property several times! Jerry will not tell us where the car is only that it was towed away with no paperwork to indicated the car's where abouts. No Tickets or anything to substantiated Jerry's lies about the car having a all of the sudden Gas Leak (really?)
Jerry sold the car and has fabricated this whole story. I am over 55 and my husband 63. This is a plain Case of Taking Advantage of the Elderly.
WE ARE PLANNING TO REPORT THE CAR STOLEN WITH THE POLICE AS WELL AS CHARGES OF DEFRAUDING THE ELDERLY.
We will also be calling the T.V Stations to further let the Public know just how Jerry operates the Mavis Ft. Lauderdale- BEWARE

Hello, I am writing about the Mavis store at 5363 Southwestern Blvd Hamburg New York 14075. I was in there for 2 tires on Tuesday Nov 2, 2021 at 2 pm. I asked for 2 Pro series tires that were on sale for $97.99 per tire. Yes a great deal. I asked for the 10 percent discount for essential staff. I am in law enforcement so I thought it was a great deal. It didn't say anything about it not being available with any other discounts. The man waiting on me said he couldn't give it to me because he had to be able to pay his guys and himself also. I thought that was so inappropriate to say. If it mattered so much it should not be offered. I felt like it was only put in the add to lure people in there. I came in because of the great deal. I didn't get my discount and I have another reservation for Thursday Nov 11, 2021_at 12 pm. I'm hoping maybe something could be done about this rude behavior. As a law enforcement individual I felt very angry I was being what I believed to be as misled with false advertisement. Maybe I should tell all my first responder friends which are many to never go to Mavis ever again.
