We have recdently purchased (on 11/20/23) our second Maytag gas dryer, only to find that the LP conversion kit is not available. We purchased this dryer previously and returned it because we could not get the kit. This time, we ordered what we believed was the correct kit because it was listed for our dryer model, so we went ahead and purchased the dryer again. The kit we received was incorrect so we consulted a local applianced repair person. He ordered a kit but it was also incorrect. We ordered another kit but that was also incorrect, even though it was listed for our exact model number. Out local Lowe's store, where we purchased the dryer, says the kit is out of stock.
So, what are we supposed to do? It appears the only solution is to return the dryer again. Why don't you have LP kit for this dryer? We wanted this dryer because it matches our washer which was another issue that I will explain below.
The first time, we had the dryer all torn apart in our basement waiting for the part for a month. We paid our local appliance repair person $95 to set it up for us. Now, we are in the same situation again. The dryer has been in our basement all torm apart since it was delivered on 11/22/23.
This all was after we dealt with the Maytag washer we pruchased which tore itself apart after 3 months in October 2021.. Maytag would not replace the washer, they insisted on repairing it. We then had to get two, not one. but two quotes for repair. In the meantime, we did not have a washer so we had to buy another washer. The the repair place had to get the parts so the washer was not repaired until January 2022. So we did not have use of the washer for 6 months and had to but another washer in the meantime.
Desired outcome: We want reimbursement for all the time and money we have spent with issues with Maytag appliances.
