I went to the menards store in new phila ohio. A big box of pig ears for dogs was sitting in an aisle along with plastic bags and scales to weigh them 12.99 a lb. Menards most recent tv ad says 11% off many times. Totally misleading. I had to chase them for my $370 rebate.
Also remember, if you lose the rebate check your are out of luck. I know they hope people lose their rebate checks happens frequently.
I will not be doing business at Menards again and hope my local small businesses can take business away from them. Eventually it will be Home Depot and Lowe's who wins the home improvement battle.

We rented a carpet steam iron today 1-2-2020 and the lady made my husband run his card through three times although each time it said approved and remove card. When he came out and told me I checked the bank and it had gone through 3 times. My husband said she was pretty rude. Her name was annie.
When I called back to tell her what had happened she was extremely rude to me also. Therefore I asked for a manager.
I called and spoke to tyler who told me to talk to him when we returned the item later that day and if he wasn't in to talke to leon. Tyler was not in and leon was who we talked to when we brought it back.
He told us it was only charged 1 times even though after checking several times over time it was still on my account. By this time I was getting very angry and I told him I would call the bank and take care of it and we would just start doing our business elsewhere to which he replied "okay, sorry."
We have been doing business at menards for many, many years and had a construction company of our own for years so we have spent a lot of money there. If we had treated our customers like we were treated today we wouldn't have had any customers.
The date was 1-2-2020 and the slip says written by 1715880 and id number xxxxx8632.

When attempting to order Christmas lights online Menards website provided me with and error indicating the order did not go through. After receiving this I initiated a duplicate order within minutes. Keep in mind these were the exact same order where I am paying shipping charges for both. If I wanted 8 instead of 4 I would have joined them on one order to avoid additional fees. Then I received alerts showing both orders went through. I ordered through the mobile app and attempted to find a contact number but only saw a cancel request option. (This was very frustrating by the way, why not have an option to call) I immediately attempted to cancel the order using their request form ( again another point of abrasion, why not an easy way to cancel and order through the order confirmation email, what's the point of having a order cancel request form if it doesn't work. Especially if it doesn't work when submitted within minutes of ordering. And don't give me some BS of since we try to ship so fast it didn't leave enough time. I tried to cancel in 2-3 mins of ordering.) I even emailed them to again outside of the request to cancel the order prior to shipping. They contacted me back stating they would try. What try? I attempted to cancel within minutes of ordering. Let's not forget I only ordered again because the website directed me to. This was not an accidental reorder on my part I intentionally reordered. I did this because your website stated there was an issue ordering so please try again. Now I have two orders of the same thing. I have paid extra shipping charges. And the only resolution offered is to pay additional shipping to return these and still be out my initial shipping to me. Since then I have sent 3 emails to customer service asking for someone with authority to resolve this to call me back, So far no one has. (On 5th day currently) This is crazy. Unless a reasonable solution is offered I will be, this will be my first and last time ordering online from this company and I will also never visit the stores. I will bash this company every chance I get to whoever I speak with. I will also teach my 3 young kids to not shop at this store. My family alone will represent 10 of thousands of potential lost revenue over their lifetime. This company will ultimately be at the losing end of this deal over a 50$ order with 11$ shipping. At this point I am more frustrated with the lack of response/follow through that the lost money. I will continue to use Home Depot where I am still provided some level of service.

I have my receipt from our 10-18-19 purchase of 402.90. I sent in our rebate which should be 46.56 on 10-18-19. Never received it and not showing up on the rebate tracker. I purchased 2 of the Classic Decor Brushed Nickel Towel Rings # 675=0127. There are no pictures or specific instructions indicating that the mounting plate goes with edges up. I am so mad and both me and my father as well as other shop here. But if you can;t sell products that are specific even for a person like me trying to survive after a deceased partner then your organization is worthless. There are alot of women out there trying to survive but we are not men and we do not have carpentry background. Look I dont undersTAND.

I overheard an employee named Christina tell another cashier that most of her customers were construction wetbacks and probably illegal that night. She said they were illegal because they all paid in cash.The other girl was a young white girl in her teens. Christina looked to be in her 20's and was black. I don't appreciate being called a wetback or illegal. I was born in Ohio. If this is your employees attitude I won't be returning to that store again. The other young woman told Christina she shouldn't say things like that, but Christina said she was just pointing out the truth.
the sorry service for handicapped persons
I went to the store at 6:30 AM Saturday after Black Friday and they only had one handicap scooter and it wasn't working. It seems they don't want customers that can't walk. I have acute arthritis and can only walk a short distance. I have complained about this before and was told they would check into it but there have been no results. It is very disappointing not to be able to shop the sales like everyone else. I was planning to purchase several Christmas presents.

My husband and I were in the market for new stainless steel appliances. After much research at various stores, both "box stores" and small shops, we selected Menards because of the new "ship to home" service. We were told this service became available to reduce the chances of receiving damaged products. That, plus competitive pricing, helped us to determine that this would be our best option.
If we only knew then what we do now. It all started when JB Hunt was to deliver our new appliances on Wed, Nov 13. They never showed up. We called several times throughout the day for updates and were told that our appliances were on the truck for delivery. After our third call, we were told the delivery was still scheduled for "between 2:15 and 6:15 PM". By 6:45, we had to call again only to be told the driver had exceeded his hours for the day and we wouldn't be receiving our appliances. They arranged for delivery the following day, which means I had to rearrange my work schedule yet again to accommodate.
On Thursday, Nov 14, our delivery arrived. The drivers began unpacking our appliances (three total: refrigerator, dishwasher, gas range) and let me know right away that the gas range was damaged with a big dent and showed me a picture. I refused delivery. So disappointing, especially when we had been without a range because we were waiting for the new install. To top it off, we had paid for installation of the range but were then told they wouldn't install ours because it needs the conversion from natural gas to LP.
Our first order took one week from order to delivery. Our replacement won't show up now until NOVEMBER 27.Two weeks later. We are without a range because of damaged goods and our order can't be expedited. Why? Because, apparently, deliveries are only made to our area on Wednesdays. Apparently, our new range won't be ready (really, it's made-to-order?) until Thurs, Nov 21 which means it can't be shipped until the following Wed.
As the consumer, I honored my "contract" when I purchased appliances from Menards in good faith, for new, undamaged products. Menards didn't honor its end of the deal, with delivery of a product that was damaged and then inconveniencing me by not expediting a replacement. I'm beyond frustrated with this whole process and I will do what I can to spread the word for consumers to purchase appliances elsewhere. We haven't been offered a credit, an expedited order of our range so it's ready prior to Thurs, Nov 21, nor a heartfelt apology. I have a lovely gap where my range should be and I'll now have to rearrange my work schedule AGAIN for the next delivery, assuming it even shows up next Wednesday like it should. The first delivery certainly didn't. We haven't received a credit for the gas range install which couldn't happen because the range was damaged...and WON'T happen, because of the conversion.
This whole experience is a Menards fail.
I'm hopeful that my update will increase the rating for Menards Customer Service? It certainly should! I also wish I could go in and update my original star rating, but I can't seem to do that. I would update this to FIVE STARS, without a doubt.
AN IMPORTANT UPDATE: I have some very promising news to share as an update to my original post about the home delivery service from Menards. Menards must have circulated my email (I sent the same "story" to a customer service email), which made it up the chain at Whirlpool, who then reached out to JB Hunt. JB Hunt went above and beyond to correct our delivery issue! They made a special delivery on a Friday, so that we would receive our replacement range the day after it was ready at the manufacturer. Prior to that delivery, they called with an apology for the original delivery fiasco. After the replacement delivery, they called to make sure everything went okay and that we were happy with the service. Bravo JB Hunt! In addition, Whirlpool contacted Twin Cities Appliance out of Hopkins, MN. Tim K from Twin Cities Appliance contacted my husband to let us know he was sending one of his professional installers (thanks Jared!) to convert our new range from natural gas to LP and that he would work with the JB Hunt crew on instructions for the conversion/install. They arranged for the installer to arrive when the JB Hunt team was here. Bravo to both Whirlpool and Tim K from Twin Cities Appliance! Seriously, I'm beyond impressed with how this situation was rectified! I'm so incredibly happy to know that true customer service still exists! I can't thank everyone enough, from Menards, to Whirlpool, to Twin Cities Appliance for your exceptional customer service and subsequent support. My gratitude and appreciation to you all. Thank you.

On July 3, 2019 we purchased materials for a deck totaling $9733.51 and turned in rebates for the decking boards which we received. The next week the 11% was advertised so I went back and got the form for the 11% price adjustment and told to send in original store receipt, they even made me a copy so I could send original which I did. I calculated the 11% adjustment would be around $671 but on August 1 I was issued a refund for $6.93. We did return some items totaling $256 and $322 . I have contacted Rebates International and they said I didn't send the original receipt, I replied that I did and to please review this and they sent back that I did not follow the guidelines and no rebate will be issued. Of course I have no way to prove I followed instructions other than for this amount involved why would I risk not following the rules? I realize I won't get the $671 because of the returns but still a significant amount is due back to me. Is there anything else I can do? V Keesbury
The same thing happened to me! Now, had I returned the order, then bought it again, I would have received the 11%. I had an adjustment because the siding went on sale, so according to Menards, it voided the rebate. And, the adjustment was NOT put on the card I used, it was a store credit! Menards is ripping people off constantly! I wont ever buy from them again!

The company always advertises will match product costs. Ok so exact model number on a nail gun from Lowe's and manager refused to match a $30 difference. As we just spent $1500 there. I had to go to 3 different menards stores to get my 8-3 wire. 2 of the stores were out and the only reason I kept going to menards was for the 11% rebate but I probably spent half of that in gas.
I tried the one by my house which never has anything the one by work then I tried the one halfway to work. That one had it.
I bet they had plenty of stoves, Mattresses and food but I thought it was build material or hardware store.
They try to carry so many different things but the things they should have they are out of or the selection is very poor.

Unless Menards is the only home improvement store left on the planet, GO SOMEWHERE ELSE! Their customer service is the absolute worst. In the middle of a remodeling project, the porcelain tile I purchased from them was discontinued. Not only was my local store out of the product, but the closest store was five hours away. They refused to ship any to another store or to my house. I went through several general managers, both at my local store and the stores who carry the product and each one of them said it is a ridiculous Menards policy that they can not interstore transfer. Get with it Menards - you can and should easily do this! I am now at a crossroads with having to drive five hours for the tile or bust up my existing project and start over. If it is the latter, I can assure it WONT be with Menards tile.
