I asked them to change the tires on my vehicle, a 2017 Honda Civic, on December 3, 2022. I picked up the vehicle that day to find that my tires were almost completely flat and I had to go back on 2 occasions to try and get you to fix it. When I originally came in, I explicitly told them (I have a witness that went there at the same time as I did for hi...

Mr. Lube Canada Winter tire change

I went to Mr. Lube 1185 Fanshawe Park Road London. Ontario to have my winter tires put on. I asked them to only do 1 tire to ensure the rims fit before doing all of them. The did not. They said they fit and changed all tires. Then after they charged me and told me to drive out There was a loud cracking sound. I stopped. They noticed then that the rims didn't fit correctly and were pressed tight against the brakes They refused to give me any refund even though they admitted to their mistake. I asked for a refund on 3 of the wheels changes as they should have known from the first wheel. I was quite upset when the manager came out and refused to refund even thought it was their mistake. Lots of swearing involved and told me to get the f out of his shop and laughed about me complaining to corporate and said that they didnt care! I have never been treated so horrible from any business EVER! I am so upset. NO one should be treated this way. I want to be refunded.

Mr. Lube Canada Oil change.

I have been going to Mr.Lube for all my oil Changes. I never had an issue my car takes BMW oil. I spoke to the workers said they don't have it they'll be using another brand that BMW approves. I said what if something goes wrong what should I do, the worker said to come back they will fix it. They tried to charge me BMW oil price when I wasn't getting that oil... I had to ask him to bring down that price I got the oil change done. A couple days go by, I start smelling burning oil in my car. I thought it was in my head, eventually I had brought my car back to Mr.Lube today to let them know that whatever oil that has been put into my car my car isn't taking it. The "manager" said he can't help me and there is nothing he could do. I told him I've been a paying customer and using the same oil the moment I used the oil your co worker suggest that is approved by BMW my car starts smelling like burning oil .. mind you I have three young children in the car smelling the same burning oil and you can't help me... He laughs in my face and tells me no he cant help me. This is Disgusting on a whole other level no professionalism, no costumer service skills, I need a refund or someone to contact me about this. This is NOT ok and they should not be able to get away with this. It's not fair to the people putting their hard working money towards a company that doesn't not care about their loyal costumers.

Desired outcome: Refund, the person to be fired. I need a call back for corporate.

Mr. Lube Canada winter tire changes

I brought in my car for winter tire changes at Mr Lube 3 days ago. They didn’t let my car on the ramp and was planning for manual elevation outside the garage. My winter tires were with rim on and in my trunk to be unload. Just by touching the first tire, the staff told me my tires are off balance and tried to talk me into balancing all 4 tires at 79$. Plus 110$ tire change with rim already on. Suddenly I have to pay almost 200$ total for tire changes, while I only expected to pay max 80$ total. I felt very ripped off and refused Mr Lube service that day. I have driven car for ~10 years and nowhere has mentioned anything about this balancing problem for tires without any car symptoms. I made an appointment with Canadian Tire instead and they changed my car tires yesterday with 70$ total. No issue raised.

What a service Mr Lube has become. The address of Mr Lube I went to was “793 Spadina Rd, Toronto, ON”

Mr. Lube Canada Oil change

I've had after issues every time I've went to this location and I'm done and Mr Lube. Issues from previous visits...

-plug not on tight. Leaked.

-dripping oil every time from not cleaning off excess oil.

-skid plate not re fasten was dangling with one screw.

Had to go back several times the day after.

But this last time I informed the upstairs tech to please make sure plug, skid plate are tight and to wipe away all excess oil from bottom. I'm almost certain the tech bellow deliberately left the oil or even put oil all over underneath!

Desired outcome: Make other customers aware.

Mr. Lube Canada Being charged for parts installed when the diagnosis was wrong

Complaint:

Location: Mr. Lube 1790 Marine Dr. West Vancouver

Invoice: [protected]

License plate: DN752H

Date of repair: 04/20/2022

Name: Bahram Mohammadshafiei

Phone: [protected]

Hello

I visited Mr. Lube because of a sound coming from my engine. They looked at my car and said: "Belt and pully for the alternator need to be changed, and adding rear breaks the total came to $992.31. I paid and then asked: when can I pick up my car? They said:"5 p.m.". When I returned to get my car, it was still making noise and the mechanic told me that the problem was not the belt and pully as they assumed, but the alternator itself was the problem. Mind you, the mechanic that talked to me at pickup time was not the one that worked on or diagnosed my car in the morning. This Mechanic, whom I never saw again, brought a stethoscope and put it to my ear, and touched the alternator with the other end. He said:"see, you can hear that it's the alternator making the noise". I said:"thank you for showing me and recognizing the problem but I have already paid for parts that didn't need to be changed. what do I do? At that time he just smiled at me while shrugging his shoulders, turned his back, and walked away! That was quite strange to me! So I found the manager and asked him, the stethoscope clearly shows the problem area, why didn't you use this for your initial diagnosis? He asked me: "who gave you the stethoscope?" Also strange! I told him who it was, but that was not the question I asked! I want to know why I was charged for unwanted parts and labor. He did not have an explanation for me.

I have yet to be given a reason.

If you realize the date which this happened you'll see that I have been very patient. please intervene and solve my problem. someone call me please.

Thank you

Bahram M.

Desired outcome: I want either my money back or store credit because I need tires.

Mr. Lube Canada Differential fluid change

Where to start...Sept 17, 2022 so went to get oil change and was convinced to get a Differential oil change as well. He does, at a cost of 294.00. A few weeks later he notices a sound, takes it in to a shop and they tell him they never added a gear oil to the Diff oil. Car was taken to FORD (another $224.00 to fix issue) and they verify these findings and state that if the noise does not go away then they will have to change the rear diff clutches at a cost of $2,344.09!

Phoned Mr Lube and got a "JOSH" who stated that it was probably how my son drove his car and that their oil is superior to FORD's (eye roll here).

Phoned head office to never get a person...or reply! Just crazy they get away with the attitude and no responsibility!

NEVER USE THESE CONDESCENDING [censored]!

Desired outcome: They take responsibility and acknowledge their mistake. Refund a customer if there was a problem, so there isn't such a bad taste in your mouth.

9228 200 St, Langley, BC V1M 3A3

I also had to go back the next day to have them Balance the rims because they where not.

Desired outcome: Either pay to fix the damaged rims or replace them I paid 300$ per rim

Mr. Lube Canada Tire swap

On November 7th, 2022 I went to your Kamloops location on the North Shore and was appalled at their customer service. I was told it would be a 3-4 hour wait to get into the shop, so I waited since I desperately needed to get my tires on. I reached the shop 7 hours later, which would have been okay if they had changed my tires. My car apparently needed a wheel key to take off the lug nuts, I, unfortunately, was never told this even when I had gotten the vehicle. There was a mechanic there who had told me he could break them off and change the tires and I would just have to buy replacement lug nuts, which I gave him the go-ahead because like I said, I was desperate. Then I heard one of the other mechanics say to a different guy that "this was a complete waste of time". so they put my hubcaps back on and told me that they cannot swap my tires and I would have to find someone else to break them off or find a wheel key. When I explained to him that I was never informed all he could say was "oh, well we can't do it". After waiting for that long I was extremely frustrated since I had spent from 9:30 am to almost 5 pm in a line to be told that they couldn't do it even though there was a mechanic willing. I am extremely disappointed and will definitely not be going back.

Mr. Lube Canada I am filing a complaint for being charged double the normal price of a cabin filter for my car.

I went to Mr. lube on Fanshawe park Rd. They found that I needed an il change. I usually go to Jiffy Lube but I thought I would give Mr. Lube some business and see if I could get just as good a service as Jiffy Lube.

After doing the oil change they found that I needed a cabin filter. I said ok replace it if it is worn out. he did replace it.

I came home and looked at my bill and I saw that I was charged $68.99 for the cabin filter. I drive a 2009 Toyota Corolla.

I looked at my last years bill from Jiffy Lube and I was then charged a $39.99 price for the same filter.

I went to Mr. Lube today to see the manager and see if they would refund me the difference of the overcharge.

I was met with the manager there his name is Brandon. he refused to listen to me about my complaint. Then another man is coming towards me and he says he is the area manager for Mr. Lube. His name is Altamash Mir. I told him about the overcharge and he was very rude to me. he also did not want to listen or resolve my complaint either. I asked for the person who owns Mr. Lube and he siply gave me his e-mail and phone number. I would like to file a small claims against Mr. Lube so I can get some of my hard earned money back. Can you please tell me where I can file a small claims court against Mr. Lube. I hope that you will be able to compensate me for this difference in price so we don't end up in court. I checked with Jiffy Lube and their price is still $39.99 and Canadian Tire's was $29.99. That is a gig difference in price.

Please contact me at my e-mail [protected]@yahoo. ca or at my phone [protected]. I hope we can resolve this in a friendly manner.

Desired outcome: I would like an apology first of all and an adjustment in price for the filter.

Mr. Lube Canada Oil Change

Invoice #[protected]

On Oct 8,2022 we came into store #199 for an oil change on our 2013 Audi S5 with super charged engine which is a very expensive engine to repair. At first we were told by store manager to drive back to Langley from Princeton BC which we did refuse. Thanks to us this claim would have been in the thousands of dollars. Very unprofessionable advice from store manager!

When we refused to drive the car for 3 hours we were asked to have it towed to garage and if it was Mr Lubes mistake to send all invoices and we would be reimbursed. We were told from Rocky (Oct 13,2022) via email that he would be contacting customer service. I have since that date sent emails and phone calls to find out when we would be reimbursed. As of today Oct 16,2022 we have had no reply>

PLEASE ADVISE!

[protected]

Desired outcome: To be reimbursed for towing bill/ mechanics bill and our time spent cleaning our garage and inconvience.

Mr. Lube Canada Oil change and damage to undercarriage

Daughter went for oil change on her 2014 Civic. They told her that the protective skid plate was rusted and the bolts wouldn't come off. They suggested to cut off the plate and said she wouldn't need another as the bolts would just rust again. I took a look under the car. Nothing was cut off... It's was torn off! Why not recommend a mechanic? Why damage the car and cause additional costs? Why [censored] a female? Why modify a car part that serves a purpose?

Desired outcome: A new skid plate would be nice or the equivalent of that in oil changes...

Mr. Lube Canada visit to the Mr. Lube

My husband and I went to the mr. lube in London, Ontario here on Commissioners Rd for an oil change.

It was clear form the start that the person working on our vehicle was very inexperienced. He was trying to do something under the hood and was having great difficulty doing so. There was like 4 people under the hood at one time doing i have no idea. Than someone comes around and informs us that they took out a spark plug and it was cracked. Asked us if the engine light was coming on. I said absolutely not never have any issues what so ever with my car. Told us was have to go to the dealership to have it dealt with. We were also told driving like it was will not hurt anything! So we got out of there, and noticed right away the vehicle was acting strange. Started down the road, and all of sudden the engine light is blinking now! Got to the dealership and told them about what happened. They said we cannot drive the vehicle as it will hurt the engine. Now we are stranded without a vehicle because of mr. lube!

Dealership did not have any cars to loan us, so we had to rent a vehicle. I am going to have to miss work because of this. All because we needed a oil change. If there is anything major wrong with our vehicle mr. lube is going to be liable for ALL OF IT! What kind of people do you have working there?

You guys need to pay for our rental as well any time I have to miss off work.

At the very least you will need to pay for the rental for starters!

Wanda Massie

Desired outcome: Pay all expenses for starters

Mr. Lube Canada Customer service

To whom it my concern,

My transaction# - [protected]

I went to the Langley location(20112 Fraser Highway Langley, BC V3A 4E5) today for an oil change.. I pulled up at sat there for close to 15 minutes and not one person came to greet me... Which isn't the main issue... The real problem is during my oil change.. The upper technician wasn't very knowledgeable and definitely did not do his job correctly.. I know this because I was also an employee at this location around 2003.. I get that my truck only has 23,xxx kms. But, didn't even bring up any passed or potential services.. The communication between him and the lower technician was absolutely zero... He did the start check without asking the lower technician if it was safe to do so.. I had to show him myself where my cabin air filter was.. After he told me that my vehicle doesn't not have one.. When they did their double checks the lower tech asked if were going to do the start check before.. I called out the upper tech and said why did you do a start just before if he wasn't there. He told me that there was two techs down below...which I am thinking that was a lie... Because when he told me to start my vehicle and to bring it up to 2 thousand RPMs... He didn't call it out.. It was just such a bad experience and had no confidence in the the job done.. I literally went home and double checked everything myself.. As of right now I will definitely not be going back to this location and to be completely honest, I don't think I'll be bringing any of my vehicles and my familys vehicles to Mr. Lube. Hope to hear from someone there so I know this will be addressed..

Mr. Lube Canada In cabin filter replacement

My daughter tried getting her oil changed at your establishment for the first time. We warned her to be very careful about your upselling techniques. The tech removed her in cabin filter and when she said no to the replacement he told her he couldn’t let her leave there with such a dirty filter. We are not disputing that the filter needed to be changed. We are disputing the cost. On line the exact same filter is under $20. In this case less than a minute to change it. An $80 charge is not acceptable. Also what is the charge of $12 for special filter.
