Oil Change
Went for an Oil change in the evening for a Lincoln MKT and the next day, turbo failed causing the vehicle to smoke up with the engine light, had to tow the car as it was undrivable.
Mr Lube in Oakville clearly overfilled the Oil which caused the Turbo to fail and $1500 in damages to replace the turbo and other components involved including labor. I provided clear evidence with numbers that oil has been over filled, but Brian Jones (no technical knowledge at all) failed to see reason. Never was able to disprove me, just stopped responding to my mails. I copied everyone I can find at Mr Lube and EGRP(which handles damages for Mr Lube) but did not get a response. I didn't have the time of the day to pursue this matter , but would just like to say disappointed I am with this group of companies, I just hope they don't hoodwink innocent car owners. Brian Jones who has no technical knowledge what so ever kept giving me generic statements such as "oil change was done to standard"
If anyone is interested I have the entire email chain back and forth, any qualified mechanic or an engineer would understand that the oil was overfilled.
Please contact me if you need the email chain as I am happy for it to be made public as the email chain proves by numbers given by Mr Brian Jones himself proves the oil was in fact overfilled.
Desired outcome: Compensation for the damages caused because of the mistake (overfilling the oil)
my car engine issue
I went for regular oil change at Mr Lube Matheson Boulevard Mississauga.
The licensed mechanic was not on site and only trainees were working.
After one hour they came and told me that the worker has made some mistake and car could not be driven out because of engine issue.
i had to leave the car on the mr lube shop over night
The manager mansoor i called him was highly disrespectful and was inconsiderate about every thing.
Desired outcome: No solution was achieved
Oil change TURN INTO DISASTER
Store - Steeles Avenue East, Milton, ON
Date - 7 August 2022
Time - 10 am
Mechanic/Technician - Raymond
This store should be CLOSED as soon as possible. This is the worst experience I've ever had with mechanics. I brought in my car on 7 August 2022 for a routine engine oil change and the mechanic, Raymond, suggested that I should change my spark plugs because the car has a misfire issue. I told him okay because I made the mistake of assuming that the people who work here must be qualified. I ended up paying $379 for a spark plug and air filter change.
Now, the moment that I cashed out, Raymond told me that oh by the way your car engine is shaking and choking also your check engine light is on. I was surprised and instantly told him to show me because I had none of these issues when I brought the car in. So, I sit in my car and it's shaking terribly! They tell me that it's probably the coil inside the engine and we can have them brought in tomorrow. I spoke to the owners, Rich and Simeen and they casually told me that it will be fixed. I got furious and told them that these issues should not be present in the first place. While the mechanic told me to take the car back because it's perfectly fine. I requested them to keep the car in the shop and only to return once you have fixed it.
Lo and behold, they were NOT able to fix the damage they had caused and instead told me to show the car to a local mechanic. What is the use of this big brand name inside Walmart that has no reliability whatsoever? It was my mistake that I did not check that they have the WORST reviews on google maps.
Completely disappointed customer,
Waleed Ahmed Siddiqui
Desired outcome: I request the whole Mr. Lube corporation to step up its game or else this will hit them back in their face one day. At the very least, I should be compensated for the hefty invoice that I was charged.
Transition oil mr lube
I took my car, Grand Caravan 2016 CRYD371, on June 14th in perfect condition for a transmission oil change at Mr Lube in Halifax, and the Mr Lube employee put a wrong clip on the oil tube, this caused all the oil to escape while I was driving, damaging my transmission, poor service performed by Mr Lube, and they are blaming mechanical problems such as overheating. I was using the car perfectly until I made the exchange at the store. The manager who attended to me yesterday, June 28, when you attended to me yesterday, said that the whole problem was due to the wrong placement of the lock and he redid the exchange and returned the entire amount of the payment for the oil, but he refuses to repair the car. really a reanalysis on the part of the company.. Thank you for your attention

Oil changed done and workers damaged the engine.
My vehicle went into Mr. Lube Store 112 located in Newmarket, ON.
The vehicle drove in fine however I was unable to drive it back out.
The employees at Mr. Lube damaged the engine of the vehicle.
It has been 24 hours and they refuse to return calls or provide updates.
The vehicle needs to go to the dealer and a rental is needed. All these request are being made to the store manager Romen and Area manager Vineet.
This store lacks in customer service, integrity and moral.
They ignore customers and think it is ok to take a customers vehicle to any shop they choose. Without the customers authorization
I am still waiting for Mr. Lube's insurance information to put forth my claim.
No one will return my calls. Or answer them any longer.
Desired outcome: I am still waiting for an outcome!
$200 oil change
Went to Mr. Lube May 27 for a quick oil change as I was going on a road trip. Went in knowing full well they will try to upsell on anything and everything... I know to always politely decline the added services. First I must say that he tried to sell me a flush because my dirty oil was black, I politely declined and wanted to say my oil is black yes because it is dirty and that is why I am here getting it changed but I felt it was not necessary to bring that up to him. The attendant pulled out my air filter and said it was dirty and did I want him to change it. Now I figured I could buy an air filter from Lordco for around $20 but I figured how much can the mark-up be so why not I said no to all the other upsells... well guess what they charged me $60 for a Fram air filter. So all said and done my oil change turned into just over $200. I am more pissed at myself for saying yes to anything they were selling including a full synthetic oil, when then saying come back after 3000km is synthetic not supposed to last longer... a lot longer. Regardless for their need for greed I will not support them ever again and I will have to learn to say no at future oil change businesses. Highly do not recommend or learn to say NO for all and any upsells.
Desired outcome: Hate the upsells that the staff seems to be required to do with all customers and how much is your mark-up?
Oil change mistake
Store 152

The Truck and Driver we at your store for 3 hours
Truck now blows blue smoke from tailpipe
The truck has been damaged by your company
The manager said there was nothing he could do. Gave me the area supervisors number which I have called left 2 messages with no response.
Desired outcome: I would like my vehicial repaired at your expense
Oil change service
Today I visited the Mr. Lube location at 2465 Eagle St N Suite 1, Cambridge, Ontario, for an oil change service on my 2011 Mini Countryman. I pulled into line and waited. 10 min later an associate came to me and said that they might not have the filter for my vehicle. He would have someone check while I was waiting and let me know. 30 min later no one had came back to me and I was able to pull into the bay. The attendant then advised me that they had no oil for my vehicle. I explained that I was waiting for over 30 min in line and was told that if the products weren't available for my vehicle someone would tell me instead of waiting. Her response was " sorry for the inconvenience ". I find this to be totally unprofessional as all it took was to check on their system. Especially the comment " sorry for the inconvenience".
Swap winter tires with summer tires
Last spring I took my car to Mr Lube in Bow Trail and 37th St to swap my winter tires and put my All Seasons on the same rims. When I took the car in winter to do the swap again I realized that the tires were damaged in the interior border during the last procedure. I had to buy a new set of tires because of that (of course not from them).
Will never let them to even touch one of our cars
Refusal to Cooperate and issue refund
I went to the Milton Location at 1525 Main St. E. because I had a sudden flat tire and at that time, that location was the only one that was open that provided tire repair. They did not have the tire in stock so they had to place an order.
The car was my sisters, I called her to inform the situation and she tried to get into contact with her husband but he wasn't answering the phone at that time and it was starting to get late so she said to go ahead and order it.
We placed the order for the tire, that was supposed to come in the next day. They quoted us 370 dollars, all included labour and any other costs, Taxes would be extra. I get a bill for 432. Basic math states that with taxes, I should not have been given a bill for more than 418 dollars.
I paid it because the situation was rough. not 15 minute later, my brother-in-law, who's car it is, spoke to my sister and I and said he'd change all 4 tires himself. I immediately called this location and a person named Marco answered, I explained to him the situation and he straight up refused me the refund. Stating some BS about it being on the computer and they can't do anything about it. That's a straight up lie, there is no PoS system that does not have refund or return built into it.
I tried to explain to him that the car again was my sisters, her husband's said he'll be changing all 4 tires, but he still refused to give me the refund and said it was my problem now.
I tried going to the bank to dispute the transaction and they were unable to, stating we would have to go to the merchant. The merchant, Mr. Lube #156 refuses to provide a refund.
Completely unacceptable.
Desired outcome: I would like a full refund.
My experience there
I went to the Mr. lube location on Islington Avenue. When I first got there the customer service was wonderful the guy who helped me he was a nice guy but I feel like he took a vantage of me because I was a female. I went in there to get my oil change and as well as a new windshield wiper I let him know that it was my first time there. He never told me how Mr. lube to work ever told me that Mr. lube checks your car to see if your car runs perfectly I didn’t know any of that all I know is that him and his other coworker start changing stuff in the car and when I’m realizing it they have already changed it and added onto my total instead of them to ask me if I want them to get a changed they have already changed them down me knowing. They will tell me that they are checking something the next moment that I know they have taken it apart and replacing it with a new one and since I have never been there before I didn’t know it was part of the policy I feel like they only did it because I was a female and they clearly knew that I didn’t really know what was going on after I was finished paying I was trying to tell the man my concern and how I feel like they took a vantage of me because I came there with an oil change and a windshield wiper in mind and now I’m leaving with a whole different other stuff he was just smiling and telling me that he told me which he didn’t he only told me that he’s going to check it the next moment that I know he is taking them apart and putting stuff in. And I feel like if he did not hear me tell my fiancé over the phone that I feel like they’re taking a vantage of me he what I’m not asked me if I had a problem . I feel like that is very unprofessional especially if it’s a new client you will have to lease let them know that their policy is to check the cars to see if the car is running smoothly and if they see that something is wrong they should at least ask if we should change it or you would like to leave it not already added to the bill and not given the client a chance to deny because they have already taken it apart. This was the worst experience ever especially the fact that I’m a new member and me having this experience I would never ever go back to Mr. lube because I feel like they take a vantage of females just because we don’t know much about cars. I feel like they were more concerned about the money that they will get rather than actually communicating with the client to ask that if they would like to get something else done because they see a problem with whatever instead of just taking in a pond himself and just doing it without thinking what if the person did not have money for it I feel that they took a vantage of the situation just because I’m a female and if I was not on the phone with my fiancé telling him that I feel like they’re taking a vantage of me the guy waited until I paid before asking me if there was a problem which is very unprofessional and even when I was telling him my concern he was just smiling
Desired outcome: I’d like to be compensated with a refund with the other things that was on the oil change
Oil change at Mr. Lube in Brampton
RE: Invoice # [protected] - I just wanted to send through this email to have something in writing but also to ensure we will be reimbursed as per Harpreet at Mr. Lube store # 204 My partner Jamaal, CC’d on this email, dropped his vehicle yesterday – Tues, March 15th around 5pm for an oil change. Once they started working on his car, they were doing their...

In late January, 2022 I visited the Mr Lube for a scheduled oil change.
Nineteen days after the oil change, I noticed that the engine had developed an upper engine knock. A local service station checked the oil level and determined that the level was down 1.25 L of oil.
Ten days later, I noticed that the engine knocking was getting more frequent and louder, and took the vehicle to a Toyota dealership for a deeper evaluation. The service department determined that the vehicle had used another 1.5 L of oil in only 500 km's.
Seven days later, after visiting the same Toyota dealership, the oil was down 0.62 L of oil after only 483 km's of driving.
I believe that Mr. Lube failed to fill the vehicle with the proper level of oil during the January, 2022 visit and caused permanent damage to the engine.
Prior to this visit, I trusted Mr. Lube with all of my oil changes for years.
Desired outcome: Complete remediation of the damaged engine. The engine needs to be replaced.
Engine Died
I have done last 2 oil changes in Mr. Lube Location in GTA area. Yesterday my Engine seized and today my dealer is telling the Engine is died because of low oil (or) no oil. They are quoting me a C$ 12,000 for fixing the engine as it needs to be replaced. What i don't understand is with oil changed and no oil leak, how can my engine have low (or) no oil. Now I started believe both the time Mr. Lube location didn't do any oil change but just charged me
Oil Change
I am taking Mr. Lube to court after they admitted to not putting oil back in my car during an oil change, resulting in my engine blowing with less than 50, 000 miles on it. My car is older but has been driven less than 2500 miles per year. The solution through their garage policy's insurance was to write off my entire car and give me $2000. for it. My car had been maintained sufficiently and had oil changes done before the oil was even dirty. It had years of life left in it and was worth more to me before they killed it.
The burden of dealing with a less than caring owner has added a great deal of stress and aggravation for my already suffering mental health, not to mention the out of pocket expense of having to purchase another car.
I will post the outcome of my court case soon.
Mistaken drained transmission fluid with engine oil change - causing damage
- I drove my car to the nearest Mr. Lube location for a engine oil change. After the oil change the engine won't start, when they made it start again the engine viberate with blackdrive smoke emission. They said they over filled due to mis-communication so I need to burn the extra oil then it will be fine. After half an hour they told it's ok and I can...
Read full review of Mr. Lube CanadaLocation would not allow me to provide my own fully synthetic oil!
Visited the 130th St location this morning and was advised that they would not be able to complete my oil change because they do not use customer supplied products. I wanted to use my supplied Mobil 1 fully synthetic oil which I explained to "Guy" the tech trying to assit. The only explanation for refusing customer supplied product is because it does not allow you 'Mr Lube" to mark up and profit from the Prem oil supplied by the customer.
I sold Mobil 1 Oil for over 20 years and have never been refused service of installing my own perm product. I only use Mobil Prem products in all my 5 vehicles and it is changed every 5000km max.
The lube business is very competitive and if this continues to be your policy, you will not get my business. The next move is yours...
Desired outcome: I want to be able to provide my own oil for my oil change in my vehicle!
winter tire change over
went into mr. Lube on Dundas street in Whitby, ON to have my winter tires put on. They had put them on my rims. They proceeded to take all my all season off, and then told me that the tires were no good, and that they could dispose of them, and we could buy 4 new ones, for over 1, 000.00. We declined, and they put our all season back on, and said that they would only charge us for doing two tires. So they never inspected our winter tires before taking off my all season, charged us 85.00, and kept our winter tires. They also never put the proper air in our tires, they were all sitting different, 47, 31, 37, 40... terrible, terrible service, and charged unfairly... will not be doing business with them again!
Desired outcome: refund
Changing over to winter tires
went into Mr. Lube on Dundas Street, Whitby to have my winter tires changed over. Our summer tires had to come off the rims to put our winter tires on. They proceeded to do this and when they had all 4 off, they told us that the winter tires were no good... They still charged us for this, although put it down to only charging for two. We feel that we should...

I had my oil changed at Mr lube September 30 and today the oil filter fell off and all the oil came out all over a brand new driveway at a house I'm working at. My truck ran for 15 to 20 minutes with no oil in it. I command started my truck after work to let it warm up and as I was reversing out of the driveway I noticed a bunch of oil on the new driveway with my oil filter sitting there on the ground! Now the manager at the Winnipeg store on Nairn Ave saying that it's my fault more less ! I must have hit a rock or something he says lol . The filter must have not been properly tightened when they change the oil that's what happened in my opinion, I hope my engine isn't toast because of this!
